Beautiful displays, clean and well-organized, this lovely market has a wide selection of salads, dishes, meats, locally-sourced fruits and vegetables, wines, breads and more. Terrific for take out when you want to spend an hours lunch break in Mission Dolores Park, which is within easy walking distance.

You can discover the vast majority of the things you need here. On the off chance that you need some mixture for your pizza, you can think that it is here! They have an extraordinary determination of natural products, vegetables, dairies, meat, fish, and house needs, as well. They got everything here! The best thing is, they were situated close to our space! Their staff and representatives were well disposed and obliging.

This grocery store is so freaking astronomically expensive you’d expect perfect produce every time. Instead you occasionally get limp, bolted herbs. Every time I go here I want to love it because it’s so close and most of their stuff is so good, but I just get mad at myself for how much money I’ve spent on a salad or a few salsa ingredients.

While the produce is high quality, the plant based selection is very low and, flesh/meat in full view (and smell) making it a very uncomfortable place for people of diverse cultures to visit. In turn, as you’ll see, the crowd is quite homogeneous.

Disgruntled passive-aggressive workers who dont pay attention to the produce and smash them when weighing them, and pack bags with things like avocados at the bottom. Half of my fruits and vegetables were completely mashed and bruised consistently; stopped buying there.

It gets pretty freaking crowded. Most everything is ridiculously expensive. The meat and seafood counter is great, if you happen to be nearby; if making a special trip, there are better specialized stores. However, the hipster charm is undeniable. On a positive note, the cheese section is quite remarkable. But two or three cheeses and a bottle of wine and a loaf of bread and you have a great appetizers-as-food (albeit expensive) setup.

When I used to live in San Francisco, Bi Rite was one of my favorite places to go for groceries or treats. Now that Ive been living in Brooklyn, I like to send food gifts to friends who may need a pick me up. Recently, I made a mistake in a gift order that was a condolence gift... but I bought the wrong thing by accident and didnt notice until it was prepped for shipping. The Bi Rite catering team was simply so wonderful to work with and didnt hesitate to help me and let me refund my order so I could buy the right thing. This meant so much to me and I will continue to be a loyal customer and advocate of local businesses in SF... but particularly Bi Rite! THANK YOU!

Hands down, best produce in the city. And the meats are also top notch. Everything else is great, too. Of course, you pay for such premium goods, but weve found its worth it for produce and meat. And the fact that everything is curated for premium quality and sustainability means we dont have to worry about any of those things when deciding what to do.

Bi-Rite market is a gem of a store. Its in my neighborhoods which makes it handy for me. It is an upscale store. They sell flowers and produce; fine cheeses and wine; and artesian breads. They have a complete deli. You can also get household items like cleaners, soaps, facial tissue. They have a wide variety of food and grocery items. Its really amazing because its a tiny store. My only complaint is that I feel slighty claustrophobic when I shop there. However, with social distancing in place its much better crowd-wise.

Stopped by Cheese Plus on my quest to try all of the sandwich offerings on Polk, and it did not disappoint. This cute market has a huge range of meats and cheeses for sale, as well as specialty dried goods and drinks.I ordered a Parma from their cold sandwich menu. Served on a soft baguette, it had prosciutto, tomato, basil, a thick slab of mozzarella, and was drizzled with olive oil. SO GOOD. Not the biggest sandwich, but it was filling enough and the flavors were incredible.Next time, would love to try one of their cafe drinks. Would also make this a go-to if looking to put together a charcuterie board. Ill definitely be back!

I really love this little spot. It has excellent food, and it has Bi-Rite ice cream!! The best is that the line is super short here, and you can generally avoid the long line at bi-rite which is just across the street.I would highly advise going here if you just want the ice cream. However, the experience is different than waiting in line to get the ice cream across the street at the small Bi-Rite ice cream store. You get the ice cream in a pint when you go to the market, which is different than getting it scooped into a small bowl, etc.But I love the SHORT wait here!

Im not an ice cream person, so its likely my review is bias. I had a single scoop cone with a fruit sorbet on top, and seasonal balsamic strawberry ice cream at the bottom.I thought the sorbet was fantastic, but found the balsamic strawberry lacking in the balsamic. It really mostly tasted just like strawberry ice cream. I also am not too keen on creamy or thick ice cream, but wanted to give this place a shot.I think if you are a person with a sweet tooth for smooth creamy ice cream, this place is definitely youre spot. If you are, like me, a icy sorbet person...well, you may still like this place. I definitely would advise giving it a shot.

They are committed 200% to building the local food system that values and provides dignity of all the people who make our food. No serious SF food lovers pantry is complete without Bi-Rite. This store has an amazing selection of everything I could possibly want. I walk through the (small) aisles and want to grab everything and throw it in my basket. Does every visit make me pay attention to every detail of the beautiful flowers, produce, cheese, meats, chocolates and breads that we have around us in the area?
