It is really convenient public storage, easy to access from Otay Mesa Port of Entry, I was long time on the waiting lists trying to rent large unit but this location solved my moving in one day. Their office is very friendly and provide exceptional customer service. Quiet area, convenient large streets, very secure. Good Will is just across the road. They go paperless so I could conveniently file the paperwork with e-sign and pay very affordable price for the first month and they waved many fees as a courtesy to the new customers. I’m very grateful for their professional very helpful approach.

Easy to rent as its ready in the same day to move in. The staff is pretty corteous and makes sure to give you the tour when you go on your first visit.and deliver a clean storage room. I like that there is a lot of space to park in front of your unit without blocking the way for other cars. There is also dollys avaliable at no additional cost and a forklift if you have palets for your stuff. And the price is very convenient compared to other storage units around the area.

November 2019Cant say enough great things about Otay Mesa SS! Ive been renting with them for almost a year and have always felt confident in the security of my belongings. And they helped me out in a pinch today with cutting the locks off and updating to a new lock!May 2020As per my review from last year this storage unit is one of the best in San Diego. Of all facilities I researched prior to my year long deployment they were the one with the highest reviews and MOST reasonable prices from Otay to Carlsbad! I felt 110% comfortable with the safety of my belongings given their highly capable staff, keypad gated entry, and the grounds manager living on site full time. In addition, their service is unparalleled every step along the way when I have needed assistance they were accommodating and had a positive and enthusiastic attitude about providing excellent service. Lastly, the closeout process was as simple as it gets, I cleaned out my unit, signed their final form and was on my way. Otay Mesa SS is the way to go and I will definitely be using them for all future needs! Thank you guys!

I was looking for a near by storage by the freeway and I came across Otay Mesa Self Storage online and even though we are dealing with this Cov19 at this time, I was able to communicate with a storage representative very quickly late at night. They made arrangements over the phone and had my storage unit ready to view and rent out the following day. I was really impressed with the customer service I received from David. He explained the contract upfront and was very helpful when it came to completing the processes. I would highly recommend this storage unit for anyone looking to store items at any time.

Absolutely absurd that David the manager at this location won’t let you vacate your unit unless you come down and sign a form.I left my unit empty, unlocked and sent them an email but he refuses to process unless I waste gas money to sign a piece of paper in person. I offered to email him back the form and they refused.No other storage facility treats you this poorly and makes the move out process this difficult. Beware.

Since March 2020 I sent an email to corporate office in hopes of some discount/aid they would be willing to provide since my industry was 100% destroyed due to Covid-19.AND THIS WAS HIS RESPONSE![ Thank you for reaching out and Im very sorry to hear about the effect COVID-19 is having on your business and our community. At this time we are not offering any rent forgiveness. Since we are deemed essential and operating at full staff we are still utilizing tenants monthly payments to pay all our operating expenses. Zabdiel is the site manager and area manager for the location where you store, I have included him on this email. Take care, ]I continued making my storage rent until in May 2020 desperate for HELP!!!!!I wrote a review on yelp regarding the lack of aid during this crisis. Early morning I receive a call from the Area manager informing me that he understood my situation and would be willing to provide me a discount of 30% OFF each storage unit! That was a huge relief. While on the phone he pleaded if we could remove our yelp rating since he had provided a solution.I did just that I removed my Yelp review. Only to find out now that the aid bestowed has been now stripped away the following month June 26,2020!I wrote to them and plead that they reconsidered not removing the aid that was promised to me on my two storage units! I have requested for aid since Covid-19 completely destroyed my industry for the remainder of the year. NO events will be allowed per County of San Diego for the remainder of the year! My husband and I have been paying our promised amounts post rent reductions out of our unemployment benefit amounts.This is beyond unethical!!!!
