It is November 5 2021 8PM, whoever is working there must not be getting paid, or something is going on in this store. The rudest customer service ever by all the associates. I liked the quality of the brand but I dont think Im re visiting due to the customer service. Walking out I wasnt the only one dissatisfied the ladies were mentioning that the associates almost open the door of her fitting room just to warn them they are closing. This review is sugar coated my experience was actually worse than this.

Whoever is managing this location needs some serious help with their staffing. The customer service is horrible. Every single time I’ve been in this store, there is at least a 20-30 minute wait to check out. There is absolutely no excuse to have that little concern for your customers or respect for their time. Today there were at least three times as many people waiting in line as there were looking at clothes in the store. We waited in line for 20 minutes, barely made it a quarter of the way to the register, and decided just to leave. The long line gives the nice illusion of being busy. But I can only imagine how much business they lose because people leave or simply don’t come in due to the long wait

Love the store and the selection. Employees are nice but on busy days they got overwhelmed and the store not as clean and organized. Easy to pick up orders mad returns have been easy so far for me. The store is close to the parking.

Always here and always terrible customer service. I’m sure everyone’s annoyed cause there’s so many returns but that’s the company’s issue for not opening the dressing rooms. Lines are extended long and not enough cashiers. Salesrep was not good at problem solving and preferred sending me off to call customer service on my exchange. After I requested a manager he then quickly resolved the issue. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ not a good experience.

Jacket arrived looking like a children’s craft project made out of the cheapest possible felt, abd i returned three different times to an impossibly long line. Finally waited in it and it took about 10/mins per customer to check out. Keep in mind this was during the day on a weekday...

You cant even try anything on because they still have their fitting rooms closed and you unless you want to wait close to an hour in line for purchasing and then another hour in line returning what doesnt actually fit, then theres no point in going to the storefront.

If could give 0 stars I would. I cannot believe what I just experienced. The lady at the door made 3 people wait in line then closed the door on the person in front of me. I was standing in line to make a return which I had bought online. Its a Tuesday and all their online information says they are open until 7 but apparently they close at 4pm today for unknown reasons. When I proceeded to the door to ask her a question about if they do online returns she shut the door in my face mid sentence. I have never in my life experienced such horrible customer service. That girl should be fired. Why are you making people wait in line if you close at 4? Just to shut the door in their face ? I understand closing time but the least you can do is act like a decent person and answer a customers question this was absolutely unacceptable and shocking

The cashier made mistake by charge one of my items 2 times, I went back all of them was so rude to me, keep saying the receipts doesn’t make sense, they don’t even check the receipt and time carefully before saying this to you, they don’t want to bring out the same cashier as I requested. next time I have to count my items before I leave the cashier and I have to tell them to check their cameras, because all of them completely shamed me. There’s no customer service here, don’t expect them not be rude to you, don’t expect them will do their job right at all. Count all of your items in front of the cashier make sure they don’t rob your bank account before you leave the cashier and afterwards being rude to you!!!

Customer service is so poor because they don’t know how to manage all Covid situation . Especially when you wanna return items which don’t fit on you because you couldn’t try on cause of their closed fitting rooms. And you have to waste your time like 40 min waiting line just to return item. So Kevin (Zara consultant or manager) told me he can’t help and he didn’t ask me come today. So I can feel free and come next day. Seriously? Thank you.Just little advice - don’t come and buy their clothes because if you would want to return them you will stay on the line forever

We like the Zara look and their clothes as well as their shoes, but the staff at this store isnt friendly like the ones at the LA store... at all. We just asked one simple question: Where can we go to exchange this? and the girl working the register in womens section upstairs rolled her eyes so hard her iris disappeared for couple of seconds before she pointed and contemptuously replied, The. Line. Is. Over. There! But she never even asked what we were returning.The two hard working gentlemen, especially the one folding pants upstairs at the end of the night, were the absolute soul of professionalism and courtesy. The girls there definitely need some serious retraining.Weve always considered Zara a classy brand at a reasonable price, but Im not sure where the Wal- Mart attitude fits in.

Super disappointed at Zara for having such crazy lines to check out these days when staying in line for 20 min seems like an unsafe environment. One register open for an entire floor?? Common, you can do better.Hesitant to come back again.Update two month later .. now its a line outside that last 40+ minutes on a Saturday. Absolutely outrageous. Consistently bad shopping experience, check out lines take forever, while employees are walking around doing nothing. They have 3 registers on each floor, but only one working at a time! WHY? This has been the case for at least 2 years, way before covid! And if you order online, good luck! They use ontrac which leaves your package in front of buildings instead of your apartment, mine got stolen, second order got sidetracked for 2 weeks and they couldnt re route! omg, worst customer relations, no signatures/ confirmation on deliveries, no money back, no explanations!I like ZARA, but its NOT worth the aggravation, not this store anyway, maybe other malls have better managers!?

Usually love this place under normal circumstances but I’ve stood in 3 different lines (one in the hot sun for 20+ minutes). All I want to do is a quick return but after standing in a line to get to the counter I was told returns are only upstairs. Poor customer service as far as explaining goes. If I could give this a 0 star I would. THEY ARE NOT COVID FRIENDLY AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. no hand sanitizer. People trying on clothes everywhere. Crowded. No one watching the door for this issue. God forbid you loose your receipt and still have tags on they will not let you even exchange. The line was 30 minutes long. I will no longer be shopping at Zara. What a shame.

This Zara location is GHETTO.The store manager closes the doors 10 minutes before closing and stops letting people in. Came in today 10 minutes before closing, rushed all the way from Chula Vista right after work, and asked if I could just make a return. But manager said “No” and said they open at 11am and close at “7”.But BEWARE...their posted store closing time is NOT TRUE -it’s actually when whoever the manager on duty feels like it.Drove to the Zara in LA JOLLA, which said the store closes at 8pm and they truly leave their doors OPEN until the closing time posted on Google. Better customer service in Zara UTC/La Jolla.

Fashion Valley has One of the few Zara stores in San Diego. I give them 4 stars because they have great stylish clothes and often have sales racks, where you can pick up shirts for $10-19 or trendy sports jackets for $20-40. But the staff is ok - polite but nothing special. During these Covid months return line can be 20-45 mins long, depending on when you come in as they only accept returns /exchanges in the women’s checkout.

Poor customer service. Workers take a long time just to look at the empty space before helping another customer. There are always a long line waiting because of this. They usually only open 2 registers when they are 8 of them available. Other workers just walk around making themselves look busy when they actually do nothing.

This customer service here by the MANAGERS is terrible! On google it states that this store closes at 7pm on Saturday. I showed up at 6:35 to make a return and they turned me away. I asked them if they closed at 7? They said yes, but our doors are locked at 6:30. I drove 24 MILES to this store for nothing. I will not longer be purchasing clothing here for me or for my sons.

Spoke to Kelly at corporate today and asked if she would send a label so I could return my items. I mistakenly just missed the 30 day mark, I had visited the mall 2 separate times but the line was insanely long, the second time I waited for over an hour just to be told there’s nothing they can do just call corporate. I tried and lady First Lady said if you are 5 days late we can extend it but I was outside that. Fast forward to manager Kelly saying there’s zero exceptions and nothing she would do. Terrible experience, With everything going on in the world it speaks volumes which businesses care about their customers. I’ll never give my money to greedy companies that don’t care.

This place is typical for the ideology of any fashion store. Employees that ignore your existence unless you specifically ask them for help. The quality of most items are average. Womens shirts will last about a year, and mens maybe two. Just about everything was on sale. The prices were fair for the quality of the products sold. We stopped in for my wife to find a beach purse, and even she didnt want to shop around. The place looked relatively successful, but that may have been due to all the sales.I personally wouldnt shop for myself here due to their lackluster appearance and a strong difference in preferences, but I would buy my family clothing from here.

Drove about 15 min to change the size of a dress after looking on the website that says they close at 7pm got here at 6:40 and the guy wouldn’t let us in the door due to them not letting anyone in after 6:30. It would make more sense to put online their closing time in 6:30 and not 7. Very frustrated.

Horrible horrible and horrible experience.. such a bad customer service, tried to return some clothes after the lockdown and they would not do it, even though they added 30 days to the return policy. Talked to what it’s supposed to be the manager, Ivanka, the worst person on earth. Very agressive, not helpful, and just decided on her own she was not gonna do the refund. Hope you guys will never have to deal with Ivanka, I don’t even know how she can still be working. Worse customer service I ever got.

Great style but horrible return policy. I got pants that ripped twice. I tried to return them but they kept having exchange for the same item (which was obviously a defective batch). I asked to exchange for another style same value but got refused. So I got third pair of the same jeans now.... let’s hope they last for at least few wears...

Employee that opened the doors at Fashion Valley this morning was impolite, did not bother to acknowledge incoming customers and already exhibiting unprofessional mannerism. He rudely instructed me (a customer) to go to the second floor for my transaction. The second floor associate that assisted me with my even exchange was pleasant and cordial, the leader or manager on duty, he needs further leadership and customer service training.

I really enjoy going into Zara lots of European style clothing and classic every few months they have some really good sales in their overall prices are medium to expensive. Ive been going in there for a few years now. Service is not very good in there they all seem to be tired and uninterested in helping especially at the cash register.

I had to purchase a kids shoes on 8/25 and its was an online purchase and i had to return it to the store the kids department manger told since its an online purchase and past the 30 days u have to call the customer service department they will be able to help you to extend your return since u have the receipt and the shoe never been used plus the tag was attached so everything looks fine. I was unable to return because i had a baby so it was hard for me to remember any ways I said thanks.I called the customer service and it was a totally Different story then what the kids department manager told meI spoke with the case manager she said we are not able to return it at this time because it’s past the 30 days which is I get that I ask for a manager above this lady and his answer was the same thing he said we are very strict to their return policy and he didn’t makeAny difference or exceptionTo the situation. Normally I really love shopping at Zaras however the one at the mall in San Diego would not hold an item for a few hours while we shopped at the mall. It was a heavy jacket so didnt want to drag it around while shopping, no luck. So bought one at Nordstroms instead. Disappointed in Zaras.

Some of the employees are really not professional, when I called to check if they have a specific size in stock I was told theres nothing I can do for you. When I arrived to pick up online order they said it was just shipped although the e-mail clearly said ready for pick up but who bothers reading, right? What do you buy for the person that has everything? I dont know, because Im not that person. I am however a difficult person to shop for in part because I do my own shopping and I have a specific need for pants. I am not a skinny person, dont wear skinny jeans and barely fit into slim fit if there is elastic. The reason is because my legs do not fit many pants from my cycling. You may be laughing, but its true. Im constantly looking for a brand or store that isnt so overly modern that real men can not wear their clothing.I do shop at H&M, have for years, long before they came to the West Coast and Ive watched their clothing shrink and their quality fall so I had to look elsewhere. In stepped in Zara and for quality alone they are far superior, much like how H&M used to be before they came westward, they also havent lost touch with the fact that some men are more men than others.Top floor womens, bottom floor mens.I wholeheartedly agree that the service here is bad, sub par, unacceptable. I know now to not ask questions, in part because I dont think anyone of the staff has the answers or cares to. They are children who work here for their employee discount and thats about it. Literally ignored me and I called someone out on it. Its a store wide phenomena. Training or management or both have to be aware of it by now, or they too are obtuse.I like the large location, its big and they carry a wide selection of clothing and accessories. Southern California doesnt really have a winter, but they carry all the necessities. Belts, gloves, etc. I like their variety. They dont carry 5 dozen tank tops. I like how their lines are not over saturated.Dressing rooms are a mess, most store like this are, but seriously put a time limit on the rooms, spent some of that rent money your dropping on using some of that empty floor space for fitting room expansion.Find you size and order online. Avoid the store and not the brand.

While they might offer a selection of clothes for men, women & younger persons, their prices & service lacks so much to be desired.Upon watching the Rachael Madow show just this week, when she was describing the richest men in the world, who was 2nd right behind Putin, was the owner of this store.That said, youd think he would hire better staff & provide service to match. Sadly, he failed.Therefore, I suggest when you see this store, turn & run!! BTW, I purchased only gift cards for my daughter in law & granddaughter.
