Its okay. Didnt have what I wanted so its back to making Jeff Besos mo rich. I had to go home and order it from Amazon.com. Get it together yall it was a simple floatation device swimming and I was the third customer looking for it.

Just dont bother with these people.I bought an inflatable Kayak from here which was $80 over the internet price. That was fine. I wanted to go fishing TODAY.However when I opened the Kayak I found that it was a return (scuffs on it and no instructions).When I tried to inflate it not a single one of the pressure valves held. It was obviously defective and had been returned for a reason.When I returned it I received a sorry, not sorry attitude from the manager as well as all the clerks standing around starring at me with their mouths hanging open as though Id just walked out of a space shuttle.No one cared about all of the time Id wasted with their product nor where they remotely concerned about customer satisfaction. They didnt even offer to exchange it for another Kayak (probably another returned Kayak as they only had two).This was the worst experience Ive had in retail without having to yell at security for following me around the store.

Not shopping here ever again. They obviously do not know how to keep items in stock. The past 5 times Ive gone there they never have shoes I want in size 11. Thats poor in my opinion..

This big five location has quite a bit of stuff, not a whole lot. Not far from boat launches. Not as big as some other big 5 stores but ability to get in and out quickly makes it 4 star.

Great customer service, loads of sports gear of every variety. Great for swim wear, especially for school and college meets. Providing the SKU number of the product you are looking at online will help the employee to verify the in-store availability of your products much faster!

Came here for some shoes had Travis running all around for us and he was a fantastic salesman. Found us shoes exactly how we we wanted them. He was very patient and attentive it was really nice. Will definitely be back with service like this!!!

I went into big five sporting goods on Rosecrans to purchase a pair of boots for my husband for Christmas. I was immediately greeted and the cashier qualified upon arrival in a friendly mannerBy the time I got to what I was shopping for there was someone waiting to greet me. Bailey was there to help me with my size, color and specific requests offering add-on items such as socks. Which I bought. Bailey even sold me another pair of shoes. Turns out they were the same shoes I was looking for at another retailer but $10 cheaper.She offered to bring both boxes of shoes and socks to the register because she saw my hands were full. I was so excited with the service I made mention to the store manager Richard of her assistants and helpfulness.Thank you big five for making my Christmas shopping easy and such a pleasant experience.

Tiny store with no selection. Came for a backpacking tent. There were three tents (not types of tents, but three individual tents) in the whole store. No 1-3 person tents at all. Camping section was smaller than your average Walmart camping aisle. When I go to a dedicated camping store, I expect either quality, value, or selection.

This is THE place to go if you need a knife. They have specials every week and have some stupid good deals sometimes.

I was followed by the manager they will make you feel like a thief. Ive been shopping there for years, thatll be the last time. I understand they may have a problem with shoplifting but you can tell they totally profile.

I had purchased a item that wasn’t working right. I returned it in its box without receipt; and with no problem or question, except asked to bring it back in its box not having receipt. Services been always good. I know Big 5 has integrity, I also buy shoes there.

Got my first JBL speaker at Big 5 over 4 years ago and its still bumping loud and clear.

The cashiers are always polite. The shoe department guy was not very attentive, gave an air of avoidance, a slacker. Limited selection of mens clothing and not enough shoe sizes available. The placement of products gives this place a overly cramped shopping experience.

They head what I needed at a cheaper price. They make you feel welcome at the door.

I usually absolutely love this place cuz the prices but you know since covid everything is the stock is way down but they have some great prices and deals never know what youre going to find

At the moment Id give it 4 stars. Overall its a great place for shoes and sale items. During covid19 and after reopening theres big markdowns and clearance items. I got boxing gloves on markdown for 50.00. It will probably take a while to completely restock for 2020.

I buy all my running & active shoes there on sale. I have for about 20+ years. My most recent purchase was a mummy bag on sale for my earthquake survival kit. I want to buy a dartboard set on sale for my brother. Its a great place (almost like an outlet) for anything sports or outdoor related. The newspaper ads are fun! Great place.

Nice big store has a lot more to offer compared to other big 5s. You have to get here fast when they restock there shelfs! If you want what other people want it goes fast. The employees are the best they help out with what they dont have by letting you no what other big5 stores do have for what your looking for.

The fishing section looked like a Big 4, but the store was nice and the employees seemed to really enjoy their work and were helpful when I had questions. I bought a Spinning Reel and I am quite pleased with it! I come back soon.

As store start to reopen, I think patience will need to be had. I visited Big 5 and the service was very. Very slow. In fact, I was there waiting for them to help me, find the item which, by the way was not on the floor. I left without making a purchase. I walked in knowing what I wanted only to leave without. We have been in a stay at home environment for so long I believe people have forgotten how to work. 2 stars for opening the store and coming to work in the middle of a pandemic.

Great selection

This is the closest sporting goods store to fishermans wharf. They are open late for anyone needing tackle or gear before leaving out on an offshore trip. They had everything I needed. The prices are more affordable than the tackle shops at the wharf. My 3 star rating reflects my feelings about the cost of merchandise, the selection, and the fact that its a larger company (not making any effort to distinguish themselves). Hopefully this is helpful for anyone that goes fishing out of San Diego.

Big 5 Sporting Goods is one of the most favord shops for all your Sporting good needs. Even great prices for shoes for whatever you need for. And lots of camping goodies. Right next to Sees candy shop for your favorite chocolate treat(all kinds). And located around others stores,and eaterys too.

Has just about all you need but have to look hard for deals. They sell fishing license buy early. Always have little league accessories in stock, good place to go to first for what you need
