I purchased a 2019 Jetta for my daughter so she should have a safe vehicle at college. On two separate occasions, the Jetta had minor issues that were covered by warranty and I could not be more pleased by the service we received at the Salisbury, MD dealership. We live outside Boston Ma and did not purchase the car in Salisbury. No matter what they took amazing care of my daughter and went above and beyond.

I have been to way to many car dealers! Tremont Wright at the VW in Salisbury and the team was exceptional!!!! I made them work hard and they really stood by their promises never making me feel that I was being taking advantage of or lied to! Very straight forward! I got the deal I want they got the sale! We purchased a car from another dealer 1 day before leaving for vacation in OC. On our way down to the beach we started receiving air bag fault errors and other errors. First thing Monday I called Pohanka VW of Salisbury and they told me to bring it right in. Stephen has been nothing short of incredible. He made sure that we had a rental car to use for the week and has been incredible in making sure that we are taken care of to get home since our car will not be fixed In time. He is also willing to work with us to make sure our car gets back to us 4.5 hours from Salisbury with as little inconvenience to us as possible. IDespite my frustration with VW and their lack of regard concerning our issue and potential displacement, Stephen worked to make sure my family of 5 was not displaced when our condo rental was up and we had a safe and comfortable way to get home without Incurring any additional costs to us. For this reason we will drive all the way to Pohanka for our next car purchasing experience. Thank you Stephen and the rest of the service staff!

I purchased a 2019 VW Atlas. I walked in with the expectations of purchasing a different type of SUV. Tremont Wright was my salesman and he was upfront and very professional. He worked with me and provided me with some upfront and honest advice. I really appreciated his patience. I love my SUV and I am so glad he helped me make the right choice/decision. If I could rate 0 stars I would as this is the worst VW dealer on the East coast. Not only did I buy my 19 GLI 35th from here, but I also trusted them to handle the first two services on their own as they were included in the purchase of the car. First service went fine and the few small warranty claims I had also went okay besides the 10 week wait for a new emblem for the grille. I made an appointment for my second included service to be done early as I was taking the car on a long road trip and wanted it to be ready. Fast forward 400 miles into my road trip and the oil light came on indicating low oil level. I got off the next exit and found the car a quart and a half low on oil. Naturally I was very frustrated. I added oil to the car and called the dealer which went straight to voicemail. I never received a call back, however I did get a sad email that said I could get an accessory of my choice to make up for it. After a week of back and fourth emailing, I was ghosted by this dealership and for this I will never return. Instead I will take my business to Smith VW in Wilmington, DE as those guys know how to run a shop. Steer clear of this dealership, they don’t care about you or your car.

Salesman customer service was great. However, the front desk customer service was Horrible over the phone. Making a long story short, we were owed a refund on March 30, 2021. We were promised that the check would be overnighted the next day due to no one was there to cut the check. April 10th we still dont have a check. So we call to the dealership. My Husband gets the run from the front desk so many times they even connected us to a different dealership. We were hung up on, transferred the wrong department several times. Finally, again trying to get answers from the front desk. She was very nonchalant, rude, not courteous or helpful. She continues to dismiss us, cut us off and put us on hold. She saying now the finance person is busy and will get back to you soon or Monday etc. Not acceptable. I need a concrete answer today. She puts us on hold again, this time she comes back extremely rude. She says....She is checking in to it and will get back to you very rudely. I saw who am I speaking with and who is going to get.....She.....Hangs up phone! I call back....no answer. I know she knows I live in Baltimore. But what she didnt know was I was attending a funeral that day on the Eastern Shore and I was on my way to the Dealership and I had plenty of time. Oh, her face when I showed up a couple hours later. I refused to cuss her out even though I wanted to. The first thing she said was Oh, the Finance person has been busy all day. Ok, but I have time. I believe a manager may have come up doing our conversation but Iam not for sure who he was. But he came over and said he would clear it up for us. Now he got us our check in less then 30 minutes. I am so very irritated that She was so Freaking rude on the phone and not very pleasant in person. Shame on people who think its okay to act like this and be the person answering the phone for your business. What Horrible customer service. If I had not drove the extra time to come there in person I cant imagine when someone would have gotten back to me with Such a rude front desk person. This experience alone means I will never return and make sure I tell anyone that I can, that this is not the place go due to poor customer service

I love the car I purchased, but I would steer clear of this dealership. Sure, sales and financing are great; but have a minor problem and game over. It took me 3 days and 5 phone calls (none of which were returned despite leaving messages) to ask about my temporary tag expiring soon. Its a shame. Like I said, Im enjoying the car I purchased but will be looking into options once it needs serviced....or simply get out of a Volkswagon as soon as I can.

Buyers beware about the gap insurance they push. We bought our Jetta wagon and talked to them about the gap insurance at purchase. They advised us that the gap covers the difference after our auto insurance pays if the car is totaled. We were side hit in Philly. Car was totaled.Now Volkswagon Gap says there is a $2000 dollar deductible on the gap insurance. Shame on them and shame on us for trusting the dealer and not reading the contract.

Will NEVER give this place my business. May it be buying a car or getting it serviced. I called to make an appointment to get my 70,000 mile recommenced service. The first time, they hung up. The second time, they sent me to the service voicemail. I left my name and number and never got a call back. This seems to be an issue, as I called for the 60,000 mile service awhile back and never got a call back. I’m done trying to give your service department my business and hard earned money. To Annapolis I go!

My son, a Salisbury Univ student, took his 2006 VW Passat 2L to Pohanka VW for a diagnostic on an alarm bell that wouldnt go off. He was advised to leave the car with them for about an hour or 2 to run the diagnostic. She said the price was $135. He agreed. About 2 hours after leaving my car, I got a call back saying he had to leave the car there for the night and would be able to get it back first thing the next morning. He agreed. The next morning he got a call from the same lady saying the total will be $440. He thought she was quoting the price to fix his car. When he went to the dealership, expecting to pay $440 for the repairs, he was told that that the $440 was just for the diagnostic, because they charge $135 an hour. If he knew from the beginning that the diagnostic would be $440, he would have never agreed to let them continue working onthe vehicle. I would like to just pay the $135. Now they are talking about a repair bill of more than $1,000! This seems extremely shady. Is Pohanka just trying to take advantage of an inexperienced college student. Not sure, but I would suggest all readers think twice before taking their car into Pohanka. We will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the local newspaper.

As far as staff, they are very friendly people. I have had a few services done and am normally very pleased. I am not one to often complain but this one got to me. I dropped my car, 2010 Audi A6, off on Friday, February 9th for new tire mount, balance, and AWD alignment. These are my winter tires, (stock) with a 245/40/R18... Basic every day tire. I was not going to be there until after they closed so I agreed to pay over the phone and have my keys hidden within my car, again super friendly staff.When I returned to my car I was pleased to find my keys hidden and my receipt where I asked them to place it.Now....is where I got upset. I noticed that my wheels were scratched all the way around all 4 and paint was missing from them. I am a particular person and pay attention to details of my car. I came back Saturday, explained my situation to the staff and they agreed to take pictures of my car and have Luke, their manager, call me Monday.To make a long story short, Luke had nothing for me. We went back and forth for some time on the phone and I eventually had to get back to my meeting. He told me there was nothing they could do and that he doesnt think his tech caused the damages. Said that the damage was from curb rash and curb rash only. Now, yes, the front rim had curb rash from the previous owner but the markings on the wheel are very obviously not from curb rash. Anyone who has ever worked on a car would know what markings a tire changing machine makes if you do it wrong as well as the marks your tool will make if it accidentally slips. I personally dont like to be called a liar nor do I feel like I should have to pay for my wheels to be repaired.***Edit 3/1/18After a few more meetings/pictures, everything was resolved and my wheels were restored back to normal. The staff was very friendly to me through this process and made everything very easy.

Recently purchased a used VW Eos, which I absolutely LOVE! However, the OEM Takata airbag had never been replaced, so I needed to schedule a dealer visit. I must say that I was blown away by the great service provided by everyone. Even though I was only there for free recall work, they performed a multipoint inspection (which I passed 100%), lubricated door hinges, topped off all fluids and even told me that the warranty had been extended to 120k miles on a couple of critical engine parts! WOW! Although I rarely go to a dealership for routine maintenance, I plan on giving Pohanka a shot at being my service provider of choice in the future!

Very poor follow-up on work that needed to be completed Claimed that message to proceed with work was not received. Though no attempt was made to contact and affirm. Car sat all week with no reach out. Heard poor excuses. Would have been nice had service person acknowledged “ oh I am so sorry we did not communicate”. Not the first time service has had poor follow up with me. If you don’t stay on top of your needs do not expect Pohanka to do so.

The service department personnel are extremely efficient, accommodating and courteous.I live a substantial distance from the nearest dealer / service facility. Its important to go where I am treated honestly and in a professional environment.Closer to home, in the Virginia Tidewater region where I initiated a purchase; profanity amongst employees in the presence of the customer. Caused me to go elsewhere.In lieu of crossing the bay, paying a hefty toll. Seriously consider a ride up to Pohanka VW, you wont regret it.

Keith was great as a salesman, but the showroom leaves a lot to be desired. It is unorganized and messy in appearance and there is no privacy for your dealings or others until you go to close. If you can look past those things, Pohanka did offer my wife the best deal. Ask for Keith...he was great to work with.

The experience wasnt half as nice as the courtesy and professionalism I received at Pohanka Volkswagon, a recent trip there for service.I live at the tip of the Eastern Shore where German engineering is a foreign word. As spoken of, a dealership in the VA Tidewater lost my business due to profanity before the sale.Anyone looking for an honest, a most outstanding service experience delivered by Eve and by John and by Pete, an exceptional diesel mechanic. I’ll keep this short even though my experience with Pohanka Volkswagen has been anything but for 2 years. RUN just RUN. First vehicle brand new Alltrack was a lemon. Second vehicle we got talked into stay and buying the bigger and better Altas R-Line also brand new. Nothing but an unreliable headache. Multiple recalls, head gasket blew at 21,000 miles and after getting it back after 2 weeks the vehicle broke down in an intersection for a highway. Turns out Volkswagen never put the proper battery into the vehicle in the first place. Both the head gasket and battery issues are widespread yet neither has become a recall yet leaving others to be stranded. Volkswagen puts out a defective product and Pohanka has had multiple issues fixing multiple problems and will leave your vehicle dirty. #buybackmyheadache

Maggie McGraw is the best in my book. Called her last week, gave her my wish list for a car for a 1st time buyer. I wanted him to have a good idea of how to buy a car. Maggie made the process seamless for him. Very patient, answered all his questions. He had never owned a VW before. She took the time to explain about the vehicle, warranty, and all the questions a young new buyer would have. She started at the top of the vehicle, and went right down to financing options and how to make his payments. She gave him all the information in a timely manner that didnt overwhelm him. I feel compelled to share my experience with Pohanka Volkswagen of Salisbury. We had been looking for a specific car and color for 2 months for a 16th Birthday gift for our grand daughter. We finally found the car online at this dealership. It is located 6 hours from our home. I called them and had the best experience I have ever had at a car dealership. Our sales rep Chris Blanchard, could not have been more helpful and willing to help us. He did everything he could possibly do to ensure us delivery of this car within our time frame. I now feel like this man is a personal friend, I have never met him in person. The finance department was the same way. So personable and caring that everything was done on time. She made it all so easy for us. This dealership is in Maryland, we are in Pa. The man, named Steve that delivered the car was as nice as a person you could meet. Was very careful with the car when unloading and very friendly. We could not have asked for more. This is a 5 star company. There arent many around anymore. I would recommend to anyone looking for a vehicle to consider starting with Pohanka Volkswagen in Salisbury, Maryland. They also have other car types.

Long story short, I took my car in because the oil light was blinking. Paid $1,464 to get it fixed. Got in my car the next day and it had the same issue. It took them 2 weeks to fix it (I had to contact the service department to get an update on my car during this time. I guess they didn’t feel it was necessary to tell me my car was sitting for 4 days before the mechanic could see it or that they actually couldn’t figure out what part was broken on my car so they took a couple days on that decision). Then I got my car back and 2 days later the check engine light goes on. Unpleasant experience and a complete waste of my time and money.

Trevin Allen sold me a 2014 certified pre owned Jetta and the car is perfect. I went shopping at 2 other places that day and I can say I definitely bought the best car I saw that day. The worst place that you would want to buy a car. Weve both a Wv Tiguan new 2018 and we had nothing but problems. This weekend I had problems pulling in traffic. Ive almost got into an accident, I was giving gas, The pedal was all the way to the bottom and the car wasnt going anywhere plus had a weird noise like an whistle....We had it serviced few times and they said that the car is perfectly fine. How is fine dear Pohanka Salisbury and Wolfkwagen Salisbury ?Did you ever drive test the car?The 5 times or more that you had the new car in the shop?Second that I would like to specify, theyve sold it already broken, radio wasnt functional,, the emergency assistance wasnt connected etc..they had to replace it.And all the time when we were receiving the car back was with scratches and dents.Las but not least please read the papers when you are buying the cars. They tell you something and on the papers is different. Dont believe them when they say that they give you rebates and discount they dont.We had the most horrible experience in or life...Good luck to you if you decide to buy from pohanka Salisbury a Volkswagen.

So I purchased a 2017 alltrack from Maggie, who was an excellent sales person and had great knowledge of the vehicle, this ends my good experience. The finance office messed up different forms multiple times and caused me and my wife to be in the office for over three hours until he asked if I could come back the next day to sign forms. Ultimately I had to come back TWO additional times to sign forms that the finance person messed up. Then comes the alltrack, less then a week after purchasing we got some rain, and my alltracks sunroof leaked into the driver side area causing water marks. I called service and dropped of my vehicle. Initially they stated it would be done by Saturday (dropped it off on a Tuesday) then I had to call to see if it would be ready. The service manager told me it would be finished no later than 11pm on Tuesday. So here comes Tuesday, I call to confirm my vehicle is ready. The first person says my car needs another part and I said you need to double check. They did and said, Oh, wrong vehicle, yours is ready for pickup I get ready to leave and get another phone call, a technician scratched your vehicle and its at the body shop getting re-painted........this brand new car has had a roof leak and now being re-painted due to a technicians carelessness. I will never buy another car from Pohanka.

The friendly, helpful staff couldnt have been nicer when we frantically called them at 6pm on Black Friday some 200 miled from home, after our Tiguans gas cap got stuck shut (a common problem, VW!) We were back on the road in minutes, thanks to Pohanka!

I participated in the vw buyback program. I sold back a 2012 vw Passat tdi sel and chose to purchase a 2015 tdi sel from Pokanka vw in salisburyAfter test driving the 2015 I noticed a pulsation in the brakes.... other than that I loved the vehicle. I then negotiated with the Pohanka sales to purchase this 2015 certified vehicle provided they fixed the brakes. They even gave me a note stating they owe me rotorsI live out of town and drove 4 hrs from my house to pickup the 2015 vw certified vehicle last Thursday at 5:30 pm. As I was driving the vehicle home it was clear to me the brake situation was not fixed as promisedBecause I bought the vehicle in MD and live in PA. I was required to get a PA state vehicle inspection before I can register the vehicle in PA. Much to my surprise, this new 2015 vw certified vehicle. Thaw was less than 72 hours after my purchase failed PA safety inspection. 2 of the 4 tires failed and the front brake pulsation was the result of bad front brakes$1200 dollars later I now have a safe vehicle to driveHowever the story didnt end hereOn Saturday I notified my salesman ( Ben) of the details. Here it is Monday evening and I have still not been contacted by PohankaI have the old brake parts and all 4 old tires. 3 of the 4 tires show signs of dry rot... not at all daft to driveMy next contact will be Vw to make them aware of my buyback experienceSincerelyJoe B

I have a Volkswagen TDI, and this happened a few months ago. Went in for a check engine light after they fixed it the first time and received horrible service. Anthony is pretty good. But the ones that sit behind the counter are horrible. The guy with the bun, blonde hair only greets attractive women. He ignored and didnt even look up when I came in. The bigger girl has no clue how to explain the diagnosis And so I asked if a tech could come explain it and no one ever came outside so I left. Their techs are incompetent and I had to go else where after spending hundreds there and got my car fixed. Never again will I go there, or spend money at a pohanka dealer. Got a VW? Spend the time and go across the bay bridge.

Definitely deserve more than 5 stars. Was in the market to purchase a used car as a first time buyer and was a little nervous. Colton worked with me and got me the car I wanted with payments I can afford and a down payment that didnt financially drain my pockets. When I last talked to him I was supposed to get a Jetta, which I really didnt mind; but I really wanted the Passat. To my surprise when I pull up, he comes out and says how do you like your car? It was the Passat! From the initial email to let them know I was interested, filling out paperwork and working with me over the internet and phone to get everything done, hes definitely an awesome asset to the team. Not only him, but the whole staff was nothing but kind, courteous, and HILARIOUS! I will definitely be recommending Pohanka VW of Salisbury to anyone I know in the market for a car. I bought a 2018 Volkswagen Passat on December 24,2018 it only had 28 miles on it and I have had so much work done to this car fuel line, manifold, injectors, seals just to name a few and Im still back and forth to service because the car keeps breaking down on me for this to be a brand new car this is the worse.
