I love this place. They have the most amazing lobby you have ever seen in a body shop. It’s like going back in time to the good old days. I had a chance to work with them briefly and they are the perfect family owned and operated business that you would want to entrust your vehicle to for all of your auto body repair needs. They take the utmost care with whatever needs and concerns you may have.

Massively over-charged for a complete failure on their part to perform a simple repair.(12 year experienced professional mechanic/fabricator here; have made this type of repair multiple times in the past, but lack the machine required at my current shop)No Initial estimate was given, which for a $1000+ invoice is highly illegal. My “ready to pick up” vehicle had multiple suspension bolts completely loose, wires cut, and I was charged for services that were never performed. My truck was in worse shape than it was when dropped off. Run, don’t walk.

We had one of those experiences that restores your soul and reenergizes you. We arrived in Salisbury, NC in our RV with a disastrous problem with our Tow car and no possible way to continue our trip without getting it fixed. To say the least we were desperate and at the mercy of anyone who could help us. We fully expected hemming and hawing, long delays and exorbitant prices. We contacted Sudden Impact Auto Body & Paint Shop business and from that point on they took charge and got us back on the road. We never heard anything but we can do this, we will get you back on your way ASAP from start to finish. And for a very fair price. This family owned and run business, Danny and Jackie Shaw and their daughter Kristin & son Brian, has by far the best customer attitude I have seen in a year of Sundays. Supportive, effective, high quality, extremely fair and they leave you with total confidence in the result. If you ever need anything in the way of auto repairs, trust them, they have earned it.

Sudden Impact is the real deal! How many times have we heard horror stories concerning shops that did sub-par work, shoddy craftsmanship or ripped the customer off? Im am as impressed today as I was several years ago when I first used Sudden Impact for my repair/bodywork needs on my E-Class Mercedes. The facility is spotless, well maintained, neat, well run, waiting area feels very homie (free popcorn is a nice touch), and relaxing and EVERYONE is as nice, polite and as helpful as they can be. Brian Shaw manages the body shop and is as friendly, professional and knowledgible as they come. Brian left his company birthday party last Friday to address my concerns per my Mercedes. He was patient and listened to all of my concerns and set up an appointment for the following Tuesday. On Tuesday, Brian met me in the parking lot and told me he would have work completed by early afternoon. Sure enough, Sudden Impact call shortly after lunch to tell me the car was ready. I could not believe the quality of the repair and how good the car looked exceeding my every expectation. Equally impressive was the fact that due to the nature of the repair, there was NO-CHARGE!!! This is unheard of these days and just shows how honest, ethical and trustworthy these folks are. I highly recommend Sudden Impact for all your auto body and repair needs.

Very professional!!! Vehicle damaged by a deer. Clean office you can take your family to, rapid service with detailed inspection of damage.I always felt that they were looking out for my best interest, making sure repairs met the manufacturer’s standards for safety, and having inspections by the manufacturer while it was being repaired. They worked with the insurance company to make sure additional damages found would be covered.Absolutely beautiful repair!!! Can’t tell it was ever damaged. I would highly recommend Sudden Impact to anyone!!!

My Jeep Wrangler had considerable frame and under body rust. Couldn’t find anyone on the internet that did undercoating. Stopped by Sudden Impact on whim....sure enough they could do it! Gave me a quick and fair estimate. Dropped it off on a Thursday...they called me on Friday and said it was ready! Wow!!They did a fantastic job... and came in under the estimate! Highly professional, courteous staff and very prompt. I highly recommend these guys.

I would highly recommend this shop for any repairs your vehicle needs. Ive had two repairs done here - The first repair was fixing the discolored ugly door trim from my truck. They were able to remove the door trim on my 2011 Sierra 1500 and make all of the doors look brand new. I am very impressed with their attention to detail. Brian and the rest of the staff make you feel comfortable with the repair process by taking the time to examine your vehicle and explaining exactly what needs to be fixed and how they do it. My second repair was when someone backed into my truck and smashed my chrome bumper back into my wheel well. When they quoted the work, I found their price to be very reasonable and I knew that the work would be done professionally by highly knowledgeable repair experts. The man who did my repair this time was Rob, and when it was finished he made sure everything looks right and lined up perfectly with the manufacturers specifications. You cant even tell the difference! Again, highly recommended.

Took 2004 Ram 2500 there for small bit of rust repair and to get bed liner material color matched to truck and used as trim on rocker panels and over fenders. They did an amazing job matching the color of bed liner spray to truck, and was very well done overall. Finished product looked immaculate. They are very friendly and easy to work with. This was my second time using Sudden Impact and I would definitely go back as well as recommend to others. Both times they’ve done great work, been very nice and actually care about your vehicle.

I was concerned about my bumper. Brian came out to look at the damage and actually told me NOT to spend excessive amounts of money to fix it. He compounded some of the paint right there for free and gave me reasonable/low cost options for repair. I was very impressed with their professionalism and that they didn’t try to oversell me. I hope to never need extensive body repair for my vehicles, but if I do, I’m using them!

I was in a pinch with my vehicle after dealing with insurance companies and needed somewhere to take my car after an incident.Im very glad I decided to go to the Shaws at Sudden Impact Collision.The last thing I needed was more stress and hassle. Instead of that however, I recieved courteous professionalism, timely and clear communication, and genuine hospitality throughout the entire process.Today, its hard enough to find people with the character to get the job done right even if its harder. Even more difficult to find customer service that will make you smile on a bad day.I found both those here and I didnt even make an appointment to let them know I was coming (which I certainly should have).If they are further away than most of the shops for you, let me encourage to drive the distance to their place. Its without a doubt, worth it.

The entire company from the owners, Kristen & Andy, to the entire staff are proficient, efficient, respectful, and kind in their service but they also provide timely delivery. The only delay in my delivery time was due to my failure to answer their prompt phone calls and text messages in a timely manner. My recommendation is to go to Sudden Impact first.

Sent my car to Brian, was told they would take care of it. Started my rental for 30 days. Called the week before rental was up and said it would be a week. Called back and they said no not ready but before Christmas called back on 12/20/19, 5 days before Christmas to be told it’s most likely going to be totaled. They never communicated with me. Each time I had to call to get answers. They never even inspected the car till the week before Christmas only to say it couldn’t be repaired. They had it for 6 weeks!! Now my daughter is without a car and we could have already been looking for something else. Came recommended but I wouldn’t use them and I don’t recommend anyone else just for their lack of communication and just pure dishonesty.

The team was absolutely great! I was very appreciative of the updates while my car was in the shop. Customer service is súperb.

When you need to have your cat repaired these guys know what they are doing.... Your car will be returned in really nice condition and clean...

This is a wonderful place to take your vehicle for service and repairs. Friendly staff who explain repairs thoroughly when giving quotes. And as an added perk, you even get popcorn and relax watching TV while waiting on your vehicle.

Really confusing. Southern appearing shop but missing the pride or the hospitality.Summary: They will do everything on the list of services they offer, but no extra mile here, so if there wasnt a dime spent on it, it wont get done.Pulled up, there are maybe at least 3 offices facing the parking lot.Though you think you have made eye contact with someone inside through the halfclosed blinds, you need to call their number to get service. Never know if a stranger on your property is actually a customer I guess. Really lets you know your place.During the quote process for fixing the damages on my car, (Other car failed to merge and hit me) the gentleman was kind enough to explain that it was an effort of minutes and change in parts to re clip my rear fender that was popping out. (previous damage, used car). That was very nice of them.I came back another morning to drop off my car. The front desk, after that customary call, was kind enough to alert the mechanics to ready a bay for my baby. Then went the extra mile and called the WRONG rental location, that I was waiting on them. After I had already been talking with the correct one. That was fun. Load everything into the wrong car, and then have to take it out, put it all back in a pile in my car, then when the real car showed up, load everything into it.They do a complimentary washing of the car inside and out, which was ok. but mostly half done. I would rather my car interior be completely clean or not at all. It only highlights the dirty parts. Like.... thanks for wiping down the dash. But leaving my cup holders with crud in the bottom of them. Im a dirty person, but when I deep clean my car twice a year, its THOROUGH. I literally put a 750 miles on my car a week minimum, so I live in it.They DID have AMAZING pricing for those Prius spark plug replacement, like... a third of the competition. So thats where that third star comes in. Otherwise this would be a 2 star review.We couldnt agree on a price for my brake pads. I believe my rotors grooves were negligible, but they cant put pads on without resurfacing the rotors. Im ok doing pads myself.I am very confused about my headlights, and tires. Especially lack of communication about my tire.The impact happened on the front right of my vehicle, and my front left headlight was replaced. I can clearly see ALOT of water vapor on the inside of the housing on the impacted side, (seal broken or cracked) but the other was replaced.Then yay new tire..... But no one told me that the tire would be replaced. I definitely am particular about my tires. I am a delivery/courier in one of my main sources of income and just any tire wont do. I also ALWAYS replace tires in pairs. So ya boy here is going to have to pony up some money in 3 weeks (if my budget is correct) to replace that new tire and the old one on the other side, with the same model and mileage rating so I get similar wear and tear and grip hitting those corners.I will NOT have my car in public with 3 different tire brands. I might only be a Dollar menu class of human, but I do want to appear to be able to afford the value menu to my clients.Those brake pads.... If you have anything done with your wheels here, dont even bother on trying to get them off yourself in the future unless you have an impact.Im at home working on my car, not stranded on the side of the road trying to put on a spare. But boy howdy, I can stand on the wheel nut wrench with my full 200lbs and still not get them to budge. Off to the store to buy tools now. Because Im not going back for help.When they wash, they only wash the hubcaps if you have them. Not the wheel underneath. Found that out when I started this.Its like a tiger striped cleaning job. that clean orange really brings out the dirty dark colors.It looks shiny nice from about 20ft out. So the other cars on the road wont tease you. But you get your visual art degree self looking at it, and your Nascar fabricator 35yrs experienced Dad to pops by to see.... Its going to get ripped to shreds.

DONT GO HERE, AVOID.(1) I have full coverage insurance. The rear of my car got hit, Sudden Impact said theyd fix the car in 2 weeks. It took a month and 3 weeks.(2) They NEVER called us to tell us about the delay, WE had to call them, atleast once a week... every week. When we did call, they told us we could only talk to one guy, Brian, who was ALWAYS busy and NEVER gave a call back, until the last week.(3) Received the car, NOT ALL the work was done as discussed and written in estimates. & it had black marks on the hood.(4) After contacting them over their mistakes, we planned a fix. Then, the NEXT MORNING, Brian called to tell us they invested too much of their own money into the car and to basically outsource and get the rest of the AGREED work done, ourselves.Clearly they got salty because my frustration towards their lack of communication and management.Positive: the work done on the car was great and their lobby dog is a sweetheart.To the company, dont respond to me. You already denied my business that you agreed to fix in our estimates.DONT GO HERE, AVOID.

Brian is very professional and went over the other offers I got with me so I understood them. After telling him this was a brand new car and wanted no sign of the dent he suggested I could do the PDR work and it would be alright. When I went to pick the car up they didnt take the other guys paint off my car and it is still noticeable that my car has been hit. I swallowed it and left but will not return.

A bit disappointed in the details of my collision repair. Days later I went to use the windshield washers and they didnt work. Thought maybe it was simple case of hose connection due to removing the hood. Nope, not it. One end of the hose was pushed( hidden) in a hood cavity and the mate end was trapped and pinched under the washer jug, too short to connect. On this car (2015 Honda Fit) the washer bottle is very low mounted, under right hand headlamp and shroud. Very difficult to remove. And since I was working in that area, I was also disappointed to notice that the fender mounting bolts were not touched up after fender install . Also, fender alignment to hood was uneven. Maybe Im over picky, but given the additional time (almost double of estimated time) they kept my car, I was hoping for perfection.

Of course its 5 stars. I work here, duh.
