Went to Lowes and no one in appliances to help nor did anyone else offer. Went to Home Depot with no one in appliances but everyone offered assistance. Bought a washer and freezer. Great customer service by Dave K, Robbie, and AK 88SS( sorry I dont remember her name) at service desk. And appliances were less money to boot

I had a really positive experience on my most recent trip here. Some of the regular prices (not sale prices) had been lowered on certain items. Also, more than one employee offered friendly, helpful assistance as I shopped. One even offered my kids a craft project to take home that I could work on with them. I was impressed with the experience.

We bought a brand new glass stove just over 3 months ago had the entire top of the grass crack recently. My husband started calling Last week and has spoken with two managers since this is our only source of cooking to feed our family of four and yet we have still not heard back from anyone. Im cooking on broken glass and the cracks are continuing to get worse because I have no choice. Our family definitely will not be purchasing any further appliances from home Depot after this experience.

This is a well run store like any other Home Depot. The stock selection is always excellent and there are sales on certain items. Plenty of staff are available and around asking customers if they need help. Store Pick-Up works well and Curb-Side pick-ups are still available for now. I highly recommend new shoppers to this store.

I stopped to buy some Behr paint for a bedroom. I have used this paint before and cant praise it enough for coverage and durability. The man in the paint department was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when I asked about types of paint brushes. I got patch spackling, sandpaper, brushes, Frogtape, roller covers and tray liners. Im equipped with the best to redo a bedroom after stripping wallpaper border (2 layers). Thanks Home Depot!!

Im not terribly experienced so I cannot really attest to the quality of the products but I can say that the employees at the custo.er service desk in Rockland have had to bend over backwards to accommodate my indecision and allow a third party to pay which was complicated but necessary to fund my various products. They have also been accommodating when Ive needed a lumber purchase to be cut to size since I dont have many bigger tools, which I appreciate. 10/10 Would recommend, so I am.

Had what I needed, but help lacks greatly behind Lowes. Always someone around to help at Lowes but you have to hunt someone down at HD. Another issue is they have people covering areas they know nothing about so if you are in plumbing you have a 50/50 chance you get someone that knows nothing or very little about plumbing issues. So if you have to go there take pictures with you, if you run into that issue at least theyay be able to match up pictures for you.

The most unhelpful, uncaring, worthless employees I have ever run in to. I went in there with their own websites information about an item that the website claims is in the store. I showed this page to 5 different people, who proceeded to send me to 5 different locations, all incorrect. I mean not even in the ballpark. It was obvious that they cared more about continuing their conversations with their fellow employees instead of helping the people that provide the means for their paychecks. I then proceeded to walk down every single isle in the store, taking over an hour of my time to find an item. It was at this point that I left. And will never be back to any of the home depot branches ever. I recommend going across the street to harbor freight or down the road to lowes. At least there you will receive actual help from people who know what theyre talking about.

The best thing I have noticed about this place is that on Google Maps it shows a map of the layout inside the store! That is crazy! Other than that, it is a typical Home Depot with a cool driveway. The prices are reasonable and the service is great! Worth checking out!

We went to register 6 at 1:26pm to cash out, no cashier was present. Out of no where Cheryl is rushing to her register and says excuse me rudely while brushes past my boyfriend and myself completely disregarding 6 feet of safety. She starts ringing in all of his items quickly and aggressively and slamming it on the counter. She rushes to tell him to pay and completely ignors that I have my hands full and Im waiting to put stuff on the counter to go with his order. She goes oh oh I didnt think you were together. I said we are, and she said well how was I supposed to know that. I said Im not sure what your problem is with us. We will not be back. #Maine#Locals

If I could give this store a zero rating I would. Over the last 2-3 yrs the quality of employees has gone way down hill. Three days ago I asked a store employee where I could find a product. He didnt know what I was looking for so he asked a coworker for assistance and they both took off on me. I called to them from 20 feet away that I have arthritis in both knees and to please slow down so I could keep up. One of them sarcastically replied You dont have to keep up. I stopped went to a cashier & asked for a manager. I explained to Becky the assistant manager what happened. She said shed deal with it. Im a health care worker who wanted to do some home improvement work on my only day off (after working 75hrs a week every week for the last 3 months) and all I got was treated like I (THE CUSTOMER) didnt matter. I vowed that I would pay off my Home Depot Credit card but I will never shop there again. In stopping there to pay off my credit card I went to leave the store and an employee was standing in front of the exit by customer service with a big orange cart blocking the isle having a conversation with their friend. I waited 3-5 min and then interrupted saying Excuse me. May I exit the store? The response from that employee was a very nasty We are talking! What is wrong with these employees? Last I knew CUSTOMERS like me are the reason they are open during the pandemic. Big box or not a store like Home Depot isnt going to stay opened if they arent turning a profit. Good news is Hammond Lumber is right around the corner, they are competitive with merchandise & pricing and the employees are polite, professional, and knowledgeable.

Difficulty reaching the store staff by phone. Eight tries and still not able to reach the store. I ordered a gas grill assembled and delivered. I got it in a box by UPS. In addition, I requested a number of other items to be delivered with the grill and I did not get them, I have to pick them up. No idea what to do with a grill in a box in pieces when I have no tools to put it together, hence why I ordered it assembled.Not a happy customer

Called to check on a special order, was told it would be 2 weeks, its been 3 with no word. First time I listened to the phone ring for over 6 minutes. Second time I listened for about 5 minutes before someone answered. Told CS why I was calling, she responded with You need to hold because I have customers and put me on hold before I could even respond. Normally Im fine with being put on hold but people being rude about doing their job pisses me off. Im writing this while on hold. Total time on hold alone is over 17 minutes.

I am a painter, its what I do. I almost always know what Im looking for, but going to the store, you may not always know where it is. I went in yesterday to see what they had for stains. I stood in the aisle looking for at least 10 min. There were three other customers in the same aiisle. The entire time there were three employees bantering away. Not once did the employees skip a beat, just having social hour while customers stood in front of products. Soon another employee joined and as I walked around and around and past them and back around trying to find an item I needed for my project, not once did anyone stop their conversation about someone purchasing the brightest pink they could find, three of the four were picking paint chip cards from the display and teeheeing and making fun of someone. Soon I found what I was looking for and walked past them (now 5) all again. Not one of them asked me if I needed help or if I found what I was looking for. It was like I wasnt there and they werent at work!!! On a positive note and the only reason I added a star back in, when I went to the tool section to simply check prices, the man in the department was right on top of things, he was busy WORKING but moved his cart for me and asked if I needed any help. We discussed the tool I was looking to buy and the research Id done. He made some suggestions and was super polite and accommodating. This particular store has a horrible reputation for customer service around the store. The cashiers and service desk people are always helpful and for the most part pleasant but the departments and floor people leave much to be desired. Normally I would have walked out without buying anything for that reason but I was tired and still had more work to do. I did not however buy anything I didnt NEED at that moment, as I had planned. Cant imagine how many other sales have been lost due to this, not only lack of customer service, but their conversation was juvenile and inappropriate for customers to be listening to.

While shopping in the Rockland, Maine store on 6/9/2014 I saw a customer ask TWO supervisors (wearing light gray aprons) a question about where to find something. The supervisors were walking by pushing a display in a carriage and were working on some store project. They did not even stop walking as the man followed them asking his question! They gave a short, abrupt answer and kept walking away from him. The customer was about 35-40 years old, wearing a dirty motorcycle jacket with many patches and emblems on it. He had a scruffy beard and was thin and gaunt-looking. Could his appearance have caused him to be ignored? Rude and shocking. Further, he was shopping for his mother who was in a wheelchair when I saw them later in the store. This is totally in conflict with the customer service mission of the Home Depot organization. The manager there should read this and find out what happened. He can also call me for more details.

Home Depot has a better online selection than Lowes, although they regularly botch online orders. There are individuals at Rockland Home Depot, such as Skye, Patty, Hans, and Kortney, who are enormously helpful but the bulk of the employees are openly indifferent to customers.One has the impression that Home Depot offers more benefits to careerists and less incentives to their short term labor force. Consequently, the staff gets a bag name, but notice that HD keeps sniping some of Lowes best personnel....Either way, I do more large and/or online orders with Home Depot, and more quick shops at Lowes.

Every time I go to this location I ask a manager or an employee if they have a certain item every time they say oh no we definitely do not carry that item and if we did it would be in this location every time I go and find this item by myself.
