Rochester uhaul is awful! They messed up my van completely but thankfully Dover uhaul was able to correct it. Thank you Tom and Brian! I appreciate it!

We reluctantly used this Uhaul location after reading the bad reviews. We can share with you the negative reviews are accurate now. We went less than 20 miles over estimate because of in-climate weather for safety reasons off highway that was not salted with thick slush and cars sliding all over. Reasonable right? To make up for it we figured wed put an extra $10 In gas OVER what we got it at. Thats a minimum but likely $13-15 more in reality.Youd think having it less than 24 hours with the information presented here they wouldnt charge more right? Their business relies on fast turn over and it doesnt get any better than us as a customer bring back less than 24 hours. Less than 20 miles over estimate and more gas they charged almost $40 more. We factually presented this information above and the LONGTIME manager Chris stared as blank as a deer in headlights with zero emotion or reason and refused to be reasonable. We are local and know many people like anyone local.Id say Chriss choice of not being reasonable has severely affected this location AND the one nearby he manages along with his staff thats also the same way floating between each as we were told by a female employee yesterday. I will not be offering business to these Rochester area locations Chris manages ever again and Ill make a point to share this widely. Ill also be sharing what I think in detail about Chriss poor decision making to corporate beyond his direct supervisor so theres actually accountability.Its principle not the $. Chris has full management authority and decision making according to Uhaul corporate. When hes already making out he will beat you down with $40 more each time. The female employee also strongly disliked taking video all around beforehand inside and out. Why? Because then they cant cheat you out of more. They want you to jump through all kinds of links and nonsense. News report = we dont work there and dont care about links you click dozens of times daily.We will be dedicated to make sure that $40 cost them 20 X. This is not the business mentality Rochester, NH wants. Unfriendly and cold with clearly no accountability or care for future business.Im looking forward to offering even more scrutinized detail upon any response by them now or in the future. Records at hand and pictures of how they park vehicles rammed up against each other touching in the back. I wonder if they put that on customers? Pictures ready so please respond.If you dont take detailed video of every inch they will increase anything they tell you and its their business model. Avoid at all costs.Its the principle Christopher. Youve now learned. Lack of reasonability, no accountability for bad decisions in regard to customers and zero care for return local business. I rented a 26’ Box truck to move myself a mile down the road to a beautiful home. I got almost everything in the one truck load. I was very pleased with the truck I was given. Fairly new and very clean. I was only charged the $49.95 I agreed to on signing. No extra hidden fees. I would definitely use these guys again!!!!

I made an appointment to have a trailer hitch put on my 2014 equinox a week ago. I show up today leave my car because they said it would take about an hour to an hour an a half. I go back in an hour and a half and ask if my car is almost done since we were at the hour and a half mark and the guys starts giving me a hard time about how busy they have been. I say look Im just asking. He goes out an in 5 minutes comes back and says it can not be done and says my frame is to rusted. Well thank you for the hard time you gave me and the hour and a half wait for nothing! I will never go back there

Manager was friendly, but thats as good as it gets to start... As far as the experience, so far off to a bad start. Ice all around the van, not safe, slipped a couple times, a little off on the miles, the gas, had to come in three times to get help/assistance with the seat belt restraints. Well see what type of service I get when I return. Ok, after returning was about the same, had to ask for a receipt. No change from there, Ill give myself the extra star. I had less trouble renting from U-haul a week ago when it was a long one way trip.

The staff was helpful, and polite. After returning with the truck at 6:55 p.m., I found the employee at the desk was busy with another customer. He said, just leave the key and we will bill your card in the morning.I felt safe with this, I had rented the same truck two days prior to this incident. Things went smoothly.The following day, at work, I get an email stating that I put a dent in the truck! I put 50+/- miles on the truck in 2 hours. There is no way I put the dent in the truck, but I have no proof! There was No pre rental walk around the truck! MAKE THEM WALK EVERY INCH OF THE TRUCK WITH YOU BEFORE YOU TAKE IT! BE SUPER CRITICAL, AND MARK EVERY DING OR SCRATCH! THIS IS A SCAM TO MAKE MORE MONEY!They charged me $150.00 deductible, I bought the $10.00 insurance.Use them if you have to, but protect yourself!

Had a nothing but pleasant experience renting a van from this location. They seem to have well above average facilities and the vans and location all seemed very clean. Professional and friendly service top this off to create what is probably one of NHs top U-Haul locations.

The team here is fantastic as always! You guys provide the best customer service in the biz! As a fellow team member, I have to say you guys impress me time and time again! Love the new 24/7 Self-Service options too!

They made up a charge for a toll we paid and just took it. Feel like they stole it. We were very good customers. Hope we never have to go to them again. We paid that toll!

Just had a towing hitch installed. The customer service was A+. The manager even came in on his day off because my appointment got a little messed up(not a big deal) and he wanted to make sure all was well. I was there for a while and observed the service that they gave to all the customers that came it, all top notch.

Uhaul has been absolutely horrendous. Never use them. I know they have a monopoly on moving, but find other options! I rented and reserved it, it was all fine a well until I got there and they hadnt recieved the uhaul I had reserved when they were supposed to. Fine, that happens. Then they sent me to Portsmouth to get it. The Portsmouth uhaul told me that I received a phone call 72 hours in advance telling me that my uhaul would not be ready. How did that happen if Chris at this location didnt know until the day of? Then it turns out that I was supposed to have received phone calls that I didnt receive... just a whole mess. Well, I brought this situation to Lisa in the regional office (after I talked on chat with someone from uhaul and was told that I would recieve a full refund) and she informed me that $50 is the only refund that uhaul can give. So after me rental wasnt there (which is fine, thats an inconvenience) but then after the Rochester location (told me I could apply for more back afterwards) the Portsmouth location (who told me that I had received phantom phone calls from the regional office) and the woman on the chat from uhaul (telling me she had submitted a full refund request) all lied to me, Lisa told me that I would only receive $50 as an apology from Uhaul. Lisa then told me that these locations and people, and I quote, diverted the situation from themselves. That is a despicable business practice. Would I recommend this location? Absolutely not. Would I recommend uhaul? Absolutely not. Will I ever use uhaul again? No. Uhaul in this second experience I have ever had with them, will be my last resort in moving services. Do not ever rent from uhaul but specifically this location.

Ive been here 4 times in 5 months, prompt friendly service whether having a reservation or not.

Absolute trash communication. Called and set up an appointment for a trailer hitch install. I was told the appt was made and the nedeed wiring harness had been ordered. I call the day of the appt to let them know I was on my way and they I norm me that my appt was never made and the parts were not ordered. The service rep I spoke to was useless. I ended up going to Dover uhaul where the fit me in. 0/10 for rochester uhaul.

Ok so i will just tell you that uhaul wont tell you this but if you rent from one location return it to another one and you will get 50 free miles instead of having to pay for all the mileage and they did not explain that to us at all and where extremely rude when I then inquired as to why the charged all that mileage when THEY TOLD ME I HAD 50 FREE MILES.... so i would suggest not using this location.

They told me that I would be geting a refund in 3 to 5 business days on the 5th day they told me that I would not get it so I am out $142.00. I dont like the customer service nor do I like the uhal at all they did this to me 2 time and total i have lost $275 do to thies people
