I went into the dealership asked to test drive 2 Vehicles. After doing so I gave a price, asked some questions and was told price is firm, pulled up the kelly blue book value and was looking to Negotiate the price and the owner came in and started yelling at me. There were other customers in the dealership at the time I was shocked and embarrassed. Then was told that I could go look on Craigslist list and he would call them for me and see if they would take less for what they were asking. They belittled me and I then left. I have never been so disrespected like that. Please be mindful customer service was poor. I would not recommend them for buying a car.

I would give no stars if possible, I came in looking at a BMW that was available and went to go talk to a man about it asking about financing options and he processed to tell me they didn’t have any and acted unprofessional he acted like he didnt know what financing was. I honestly hate to use the race card but I feel like we were being discriminated, he was even very hesitant to even shake my husbands hand. I was also told if I wanted to buy something there I had to pay full cash amount to have the vehicle. But clearly on there website and on Facebook Market place says they have financing options available. To me it seemed as if he just didn’t want my husbands and I’s business. Very rude wouldn’t recommend coming here for a vehicle to spend your time and hard working money on. There is other places that will have better costumer satisfaction and better prices don’t settle for less.

We went to Star Auto today. We are looking for a vehicle to put miles on. We were outside for a bit and no one came out. Thats just fine. So, I went inside to ask to test drive the Mini on their lot. It was the one we were interested in. I was told by the guy in the office to the right that I couldnt drive it unless I bought it. I didnt see anyone else there. I asked again that I wanted to test drive the car to possibly purchase. I got the same answer in the same rude tone. Dont be smug, your job is to sell cars. I deserve to be able to test drive and look any car over that I may buy. I wont be back, absolutely terrible!

Was told countless times that since I had done my research on carfax that it doesnt need to be test driven...thats NOT how car buying works. Ive test drove many many vehicles that had good history just to have glaring issue stand out. I was told you have to buy and cant test drive. What kind of car dealer does that?! I was dead set on buying it but the utter rudeness and them talking down and punishing me for asking to test drive made me run. I had a happy well treated visit with your neighbor at the auto mall and the experience was complete opposite and I got to test drive 2 vehies and came out with a great one..

I recently purchased a Mazdaspeed 6 at Star Auto and Im very happy with the experience. You can disregard the negative reviews as long as you understand this is a used car dealership, the vehicles might not be perfect. Mine is not, but Im okay with putting money into it. Oh, and coming from a car guy, their cars are VERY good used cars and they have an excellent variety. My advice is to have an idea of what you want, know your budget (they do finance depending on credit) and ask questions. Happy shopping!

This dealership is THE WORST! We bought a 2006 Subaru Forester in 7k they told us it had zero mechanical issues and that it was checked over by his “mechanic”. After a week driving the car around Rochester only, the car started to get the check engine and cruise on the screen, so I brought it to my mechanic and there are over $5000 in repairs. Star Auto Sales lied to my face and fraudulently advertised the vehicle as being in perfect condition.They offered the car in a high price even knowing it needed that repairs. They are liars, DONT TRUST THIS PLACE!Now I have a car wich need 5k in urgent repairs. And anyways I am gonna need to keep spending money in others things that the car need.Please stay away of this place.

How would I know if I want to buy the car if the dealer is testing it for me. I couldnt even sit in the front seat. Copy the drivers license and let people test drive. We were on the lot 10 mins and never was asked if we needed help. Customer service sucks. 0 stars

If you’re going to run a dealer ship you have to have more people working, that way when you don’t trust the customer with giving the car a test drive you don’t have to close the shop down so you can ride along with. I was happy about the car, I was looking to buy it but the man’s attitude was not appreciated. I then told him I didn’t want to buy it and blamed me for closing down the shop and to go to another dealership and test drive their cars. They have to run your credit report just to take a vehicle out for a test drive. When I told him no, he got very upset at me because I said no. He told me the reason for the credit report has to be ran because he wants to make sure you have money.

Really wish I would have listened to the bad reviews before purchasing from them. A lot of their “good reviews” are fake. They false advertised the vehicle we purchased on several things. Stated it was checked out by a mechanic and there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. Of course on the way home started having issues with the transmission. We contacted them to rectify the situation in any way and they would not do absolutely anything. Don’t ever buy from someone who makes you sign a “sold as is” that is a very big lesson learned. They stated there is a third party warranty company who they work with so we contacted them and they stated that we had to sign up with that from the start. We were never offered a warranty and when we told them that they said it would have been $3000. I told them that would have cost me less than the repairs and they should have offered it from the start. They kept stating how they are a small family business but all they did was screw people trying to provide for their family. If you look at their responses to the negative reviews it shows that they do not care about their customers and what type of people they are.... never in the wrong. Learn from our mistake and stay far away.

After having a bad expirience at Gillies, I was ecstatic to meet the 2 brothers at Star Auto. They had a huge selection of good vehicles and were genuinely interested in helping me and not just my money. They didnt just tell me a bunch of BS to sell me a car. They took the time and helped me through the process from picking the right vehicle to getting financed. To make the expirience even better their father is hillarious and had me laughing the whole time!

At first glance they seem like very nice and friendly people. As I talked with them, they got very pushy. The car had rust and a cracked on the front and back bumper, selling at $7000. They weren’t willing to negotiate on the price, because it was a “sport car”. They didn’t know the history of the car, and said the seat were one of a kind. The car was bone stock. They wouldn’t let us drive the car because of a previous incident they had with a customer.(The car was manual, and me and my brother both know how to drive stick shift). We told them that we must test drive it in order to know how it drives and to see if it’s a good car to purchase. They kept on telling us that the car ran great and we didn’t need to test drive it. After 10 to 15 minutes of going back and forth. My brother and I got fed up and decided to leave. They stop us and tried to make the situation better. At this point we got tired of what they were saying and decided it was best if we were to leave. This was my experience with them. I know that others had a different experience with them, but I would not recommend going to this used dealership. I understand what they been through with other customers, but this was not acceptable. Keep in mind this was my experience, you may experience differently. Edit: Note to see how immature their response was. Very unprofessional. Trying to say that you have a nice car, so you know about “cars”. Maybe if you know how to treat your customers, you wouldn’t get this rating. Know how to take a response and learn from it. I’m not the first person to give you this rating.

2007 GMC Yukon good price

They sold me a car with a dead battery which they knew wasn’t good anymore. Had to go spend $70 immediately after purchasing car. Check engine light came on a day after which leads me to believe they clear these codes prior to selling their vehicles.

At first I thought it was a lit Strange both employees were talking to each other in Arabic but one came out before I left and explained that one employee wasn’t a native and told me that they don’t talk behind the costumers back. I’d definitely recommend going here and picking up a decent used car. They handle all the paperwork and made it easy to get on the road.

Very horrible experience! Drove 4hrs for nothing. Most of the cars are rusty. When I told the guy that the car that I was buying needed work and was rusty he got offended. I left with out my driver license from their office(my mistake) but they never called me to let me know. When I noticed I didn’t have my license I was already 1hr or so away. I called them and got no answer,texted them and they left my msgs as “seen”. Since I didn’t get response I traveled back to the dealer to get my license as they unprofessional and didn’t know if they would do me wrong having my license. Below is a pic of the conversation. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to travel to this dealer to see their cars, it’s not worth it! I should’ve read the dealer reviews before going. I had called them to make sure the car would be there and when i got there, i was able to take it for a test drive and liked how it drove. As a used car the only problem i had was when starting it but i got a new key since the starter was not at fault and now its good.I would recommend them. They are easy going, professional and didnt feel pushed or rushed at all. I am very happy with my purchase.

My boyfriend and I came in, twice, looking for the right SUV. Both times they were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They wouldve let us come back 5 times and still been as helpful, patient and friendly! Not just salesman friendly but they actually take interest in your family, hobbies, interests, etc. We shared pictures of kids, classic cars and had a great conversation! They do all the DMV paperwork, saving customers the dreaded chore of actually going into the DMV lol. They were awesome! After searching for awhile, bouncing from one vehicle to another, they were patient, didnt hesitate to get keys for multiple vehicles! We drove away with the perfect SUV for us! Fast and painless experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great, clean and affordable inventory!!

I AM ASKING, NO BEGGING YOU, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!they may seem friendly and claim everything to run great. Even tried claiming the one I purchased was a family vehicle. Well that was a horrible lie. The car I had they claimed those alligations but after purchase the next day I heard some grinding under the vehicle. I took it in of course to do the full inspection only to find out the car had multitude of issues but the one was terrifying. The subframe which mounts the engine, transmission, and the steering rack all was so rotted I could poke holes through it. This is not fixable without spending well over car worth. So I took it back within 72HRS AND THEY CLAIMED EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THERE FAMILY CAR THEY DIDNT KNOW AND EVEN REFUSED TO RETURN IT! i even offered to buy a different car off lot. But no there sleazy people that only want money and I threatened to sue them and they laughed and me and they said ok sue us. As a young adult they didnt think I would, and I did. They didnt show up to the scheduled and date and didnt appeal even though they claimed to. Ive been using my grandpas car and put there car in storage bc I literally risk my life going to work and back and has been preventing me from seeing my family and doing what I need to do for errands outside of town. Right now Im finishing up the paperwork to get my money back after 4 months of struggling just because they were inconsiderate jerks that fiend for money. I went in there recently to try and claim my money because I already won the case and they freaked out and told me to leave and not come claiming the case is not over and to talk to there lawyer. The judgment made by Olmsted county court services gave me the plaintiff, the awarded win by default. It has been over for over a week. Either way Ill get the money back EVENTUALLY but dont do that to yourself. I know many people who work at Toyota, mazda, and other car repair and maintenance locations and they all same the same story. They bring the car in for an oil change and new battery, they find out something really bad with the car, the ignore it because they dont want to waste the money and dont care, and they sell it anyways even though the vehicle is unsafe/runs bad and they try to cover it up. GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!!

Didn’t even let them try to “test drive” the car, because they thought they couldn’t drive stick... I’ve heard about this place, and after his experience, nobody should step foot on this dealership.
