Huge variety of candles and amazing scents. This place is famous for hand made candles. You can make your own. We didnt have time so couldnt try. It takes upto an hour to make one and take several hours to set.The parking was off-street.Shop is well kept with very pleasant staff.

My boyfriend and I were in dire need of trying something new together every since we moved out here. We saw the before and after of this business and let me first of by saying, this place is beautiful. I love that it’s walking distance from our place and there is a large variety of scents that you can smell. It’s Woman Owned, which is phenomenal!!!While we found the scents that we wanted, we knew they were going to smell great together. Vanilla bean is my favorite scent and teakwood is my boyfriends favorite scent. Then we both ended up liking black/tan. We mixed the oils, had a few laughs and drinks.It was such an amazing time. I would highly recommend10/10!

Christina created custom candle scents for our space and they were DIVINE!They’re beautiful, last and burn well and make the room smell amazing.Looking forward to being able to invest in a collection of custom candles we can share with our guests!Keep up the good work! Really neat store. Made two custom candles. Friendly staff and very welcoming atmosphere. They have a bar where you can mix your favorite scents and have a drink if you wish. Would highly recommend!

I booked a private party here for my mom’s birthday. Christina was so welcoming and accommodating to our party of 15. We were booked for 2 hours but were done pouring our candles in an hour. She let us stay to hang out and open gifts, took group pictures for us, and even dropped our candles off at Three Heads Brewery where our party ended up. Her other sales associate (forgot his name) working was also helpful and friendly. Everyone had such a great time and complimented what a unique and fun idea this was for a party. Thank you Christina and can’t wait to come back! 💜

This store is FANTASTIC! Its such a unique experience. You choose your favorite scents and then one of the *scent stylists* helps you create your candle masterpiece. Scents by Design has more than 100 scents to choose from (so thousands of combinations!!). However, if youre overwhelmed by mixing your own scents, they also offer ready to go single scent candles. Its such a fun activity! I even chose scents that I would not typically choose for myself and created one-of-a-kind scent combinations. After making my candles, I was able to pick up the finished products within 90 minutes! I already started burning my candle, and I absolutely LOVE how the scent fills my entire home.This is one of the only indoor activities that Ive felt safe doing during COVID. Scents by Design was implementing many COVID precautions, including: 1) Require people wear a mask; 2) Use hand sanitizer before smelling candles; 3) Request customers make reservations; 4) Clean products and surfaces between customers.

Such a fun, unique experience! Went in today and had so much fun smelling all the scents and pouring our own candles. The ladies were super friendly and fun and also helpful in suggesting scents that would go well together. I cant wait to come back in the fall to make a new candle!

Great experience for myself and 2 teen daughters. You make your own candle, wax melt, room spray, or reed diffuser. The staff is friendly and we had a memorable afternoon here. I recommend checking them out!

Took my boyfriend here for fun date idea and we had such a great time! The staff are super helpful and knowledgeable about the scents and what will work. They helped both of us come up with amazing combinations that smelled so good at the end!! It can be a little pricey but SO worth it to have a candle that you created yourself! I definitely would plan to come back with some girlfriends for a girls night or a bachelorette kinda thing. Must try!

Was next door ordering a cake (Goodness Cakes is amazing, btw) and, as we enjoyed our irresistible mini cupcakes on the bench outside, saw Scent by Design. Had my 3 and 5-year-old with me, but we were feeling spontaneous and went in. So glad we did. The owner was very friendly and accommodating to my children and me - couldn’t ask for better customer service. My kids had a great time picking out scents (and practicing writing them on mini clipboards!), coloring their candle label, mixing their scent, and adding to the wax. SO refreshing to have something new to do that spans the interests of adults and children. (Note: Prob not an activity for the young child who is in the mood to run around and yell.) Going to gift one of our candles to grandma and keep one! Will definitely bring my husband back on a date.

Love it here and will definitely be returning! Christina and her staff are so extremely knowledgeable of all their scents (so many to choose from!) and explain exactly how things need to be done to create a candle, or whatever vessel you choose to keep your house smelling great, all your own. Plus they are super friendly and let you take your time! Theres no rushing as they actually want you to leave happy! Definitely recommend this highly interactive experience for singles, couples, yes even you guys! You can always buy one of their pre-poured candles too. By the way, they are extremely health conscious and keep everything spotlessly clean between customers. Nothing is ever touched twice without being sanitized. Seriously, check it out!

This is a very cute space, friendly staff and great idea. We had a lot of fun picking our scent combinations and the end results were amazing. I love my candles! So many scents to choose from we will definitely be going back soon.

Had a great time here! Locally made soy candles, melts and more. Make sure to make a reservation for the pour your own candle bar where you get to mix your own custom fragrances! Such a fun and unique activity for a friend date, date night, or family fun :)
