If you are into the 60s vibe or a Spencers in the Mall shop, then this is the place for you. You can smell the incense burning as soon as you walk into the door of this small, unique shop of paraphernalia. There was a man and much older woman there who ran the store. Both seemed a bit eccentric. The man made some very opinionated comments about current events in the 10 minutes my husband and I were there. So, if you are an ancient hippie looking for a new funky buddy, then have a stop here. You wont be disappointed. Unfortunately, its just not mine or my husbands cup of tea anymore. We only stopped in for our grandchild to look for some earrings.

This has got to be the coolest store in all of riverton. Waaay better than Spencers or hot topic or zurchers all put together. Ill definetly be spending some money here. Owners are really friendly too!!

Very opinionated owner, prices rather high. Lots of items to see though and a bit disorganized. Thanks for your reply, however when someone clearly tells you they dont want to talk politics and you clearly do, things dont always open dialogue, but close it. Also its helpful to change clothes once in awhile and not chain smoke while interacting. Best of luck to your business. I do agree that the hovering is a bit overwhelming in such small aisles, perhaps mirrors would be beneficial since you clearly insert into conversations, you can hear if someone needs assistance.

I’d explain my reasoning for the two star review but it seems many others have already done so. The owners probably going to find an excuse passive aggressively at this poor review such as how theyre only human, but alot of bigger shops started as small stress filled businesses as well and dont need to find an excuse to justify themselves, they simply accept the criticism, and learn from it and better their experiences with others by taking the criticism to heart. Many people have spoken of the hovering and how it makes them uncomfortable, however the owners make it the shoppers fault and say they ‘dont know what good customer service is’ or something of the like rather than just staying at the front and assisting the customer/s/ when they ask for the assistance. It’s much easier for people, especially nicer people, to ask someone for assistance rather than asking for someone to leave them alone. They have alot of interesting things in the shop, however if you dont like someone being all up in your space, i wouldnt recommend coming here. And as shop owners id also like to state its very unprofessional for you to be passive aggressive towards the reviews that you dont like On the internet. Not everyones going to like you, but you dont need to make excuses for yourselves or make it their fault. Accept the review and be friendly towards everyone in the best manner you can since you are, indeed, shop owners. I love the owner and his mom. They are such lovely people. They can try to order anything you are looking for that they dont have, but you can find just about anything in the shop as is. I love the selection of incense. Perfect place to find a unique gift.

Me and my friend would go to wherehouse from time to time when we were younger some good memories there, even if we didnt buy much we always liked looking around going in the black light room to see what parts of our clothes glow, it helped to take our minds off of the bad things in our life at the time. i see a lot of people expect this to be some sort of corporate owned shop, but that wouldnt make this store unique at all, go in there with an open mind and a mellow attitude you will find your time there a lot easier.

Great people, family owned. They have a lot of different stuff of modern trends for a small town. Go check them out. I plan on going back to buy a few things I dont find normally.

This has got to be one of the most interesting places in Riverton! Everyone there is awesome and has a great attitude and theres absolutely nothing you cant find in there! well unless youre looking for something boring.

I LOVE this store. These are my favorite types (novelty). I just moved here and love that place it had a welcoming vibe. I will be going back whenever I can! The staff was very friendly and encourages you to look at everything. Plus help you notice things you normally wouldnt have. I dont understand why the other reviews were so negative!

When you talk to your own mother like you do, good luck getting any new employees. I heard you say get in there & do ur fkn job.. to her. Along with being followed around, every move being watched like a hawk.. talk about being made feel uncomfortable and treated like a thief. Should not have given you any business. I have been in that store several times. Stop following me and pointing things out. The store is a lot bigger on the inside and they have a lot of variety. I did like that. They also had some retro stuff. It was kinda cool to look around.I will admit a few things (and I dont want to slam or seem aggressive. I apologize if I appear that way.) The store was very heavy with incense. It was a little burdensome to breathe. One of the employees was also smoking but I guess I couldve asked and I am sure they would have stopped.Another employee followed us around very closely, I felt uncomfortable but I also understand they were being there for our support. Again, I feel that if I mentioned it they wouldve given us a little space.I also noticed a little bit of foul language from one of the employees who was also very verbal about their opinions. But its a free country and they are allowed to do that. We choose to be offended by what others do. It didnt bother me but I saw a few others glance at them in a shocked way.I also felt like when we were done, the person checking us out kept trying to sell us little things that werent needed. I felt like they didnt care for us and they just wanted to sell stuff. It seemed unprofessional. Now, I will say it might have been because they were excited about their products. They were knowledgable and were enthusiastic.It was also a little expensive but it makes sense. The things they had arent common and as before stated, hip. Retro. Cool. They had a lot of neat stuff.Over all, I dont regret seeing some cool stuff in there. And also, on good sides, some of the employees did have good insights on life through experiences theyve had. And it has been around for a long time.It was fun to walk around while I was in town. My friends seemed to enjoy it. And we see all the time that different stores attract different people. It just wasnt for me. (And I do understand, that this statement is my opinion. Not a fact.)

The store has a good selection of various items and I overall like the store. Ive been going over there for years and buy random nic nacs,hacky sacks and black light posters. The workers will follow you and show you some of the awesome stuff they have in stock even if it isnt too your liking but thats not the workers fault. They also have tobacco products there and there some pretty good ones. On my latest visit I was planning on buying a tobacco pipe and the rule in the store isif you buy something tobacco related, you have to buy something non tobacco related. In my opinion thats not a problem because they have some cool stuff. So Im looking at the incense and getting the ones I wanted and planning on buying a hacky sacks or maybe a poster along with my tobacco product but before I could finish browsing around the man in front must of had a bad day or had a bad incounter with some one earlier. But Im a quite guy and dont really talk and I think that he took that as me being rude. But anyway some words were exchanged and I was surprised because I never had expected that from there. Also this is just my opinion but if you want to keep a good professional business the owner shouldnt be on the verge of cussing out a Costomer because they arent sending enough money in your store and complain to me about your legal fees you need to pay and and taking me ina guilt trip about your struggles also insulting me assuming just because of the product Im buying that Im a person that regularly goes to jail. They have a lot of neat things in the store, lots of goth items and weaponry. Ive noticed a few things about this place though.1: the lady in there watches you like a hawk, as if youre just going to take something. Id suggest if you have a problem with people stealing things, get a security camera. People like to shop im secrecy and privacy, try things on without getting comments any time they try talking to the people they brought with them and without a woman they dont even know literally right behind them. If its a problem with boredum, id suggest maybe organizing the shop a little bit more and picking up.2: a curse word after every sentence from employees. I get that its an adult shop but not all of us want to hear the F bomb after every other word. Its unprofessional. If you walked into someone elses house or an interview with that mount and it was someone you didnt know, they wouldnt want your company, but they wouldnt say that to avoid confrontation.3: i get that you want to sell things, but after someone rings something up dont try to push 4 different things on them after they brought up the merchandise they want rung up. After the first couple of times, its just annoying.4: ive noticed that with some of the reviews on here, the owner of the place is trying to make excuses for their behaviors or bad points, such as maybe you were just having a bad day. Instead of taking the criticism to heart and trying to make it their problem, take the criticism to heart and learn from it. Reading these reviews I can partially believe both sides. Ive been through the store once and found the visit interesting to say the least. customer service is good but there is a fine line between being helpful and being annoying. the minute I walked into the store I felt all 4 employees eyes on me. not that they were necessarily worried about me stealing something, it seemed more like they didnt want me to miss any of the products that they offer. while I do appreciate help, Id prefer it to be when I ask for it. Maybe thats what Im used to though in an age where over the top help isnt very frequent. the employees, although friendly, seemed very gypsyish. I felt as though I was being sold authentic indian beads at four corners. I can verify that I felt pressured to buy more stuff than I wanted to but I can appreciate that. as a salesman, it is the owners job to encourage you to buy his product. beyond that I did find the owner pleasurable enough to conversate with. we talked (he talked) very longwindedly about politics. Clearly we have very different opinions but I didnt see the point of trying to debate the very liberal man in a business setting. maybe over a cold one sometime :). all in all I will likely be back the next time Im heading through.

Was harassed and demeaned by who I am assuming is the owner at the point of checkout for not spending more money. First of all, what I purchased can be purchased online for much less than what they listed it at and the reason I came to the wherehouse was to help promote local business. At the point of paying, I was subjected to listening to a long soliloquy about the struggles of owning a small business to which he tied to me only spending $80+ so basically a guilt trip aimed at making me feel bad for choosing to support local business. This type of customer-owner interaction isnt condusive for a welcoming environment. Why would you complain to a customer that has just made a fairly substantial purchase? Especially when the product is drastically overpriced? I would have given one star but the other staff were very friendly and knowledgable.

Went in there ....the owner i think his name was JACK ASS..was talking to a woman...WITH HER CHILDREN STANDING NEXT TO HER, about how he had sex toys that this woman should look at before she leaves. he literally tells this woman, in front of her children.... why doesnt momma go back and take a look for sex toys... did i say that he did this ...WHILE HER CHILDREN WERE STANDING NEXT TO HER??? than he proceeds to say that... oh what...momma does not talk openly about sex in front of her children... i could not believe this guy was saying this... the woman told her children to go to the car... she proceded to tell him that he was WAYYYY OUT OF LINE, and that she will never step foot in such a place again... so she left .... and i told the man.... that he was the biggest jack ass that i have come in contact with in many many years... i proceded to tell him that his brain is the size of a peanut and that he must..surely eat his own feces. he did not seem to mind my comments... he just stood there an grinned, i think he hears this a lot from people. this man is a true blue idiot... why this place is still in business is nothing short of amazing.

Despite what people say about the Wherehouse, Most people say it the worst place to go. i disagree to the highest extent. You may hear the owner or employees say,its the coolest store in wyoming and they arent wrong. its the coolest place youll find. i live in riverton and go there whenever i get a chance. thats the kind of place i would love to work in.
