Over the years while living in the Stratford Hills neighborhood we’ve been very pleased overall with our auto service here. Generally, they’ve been very straightforward with us when we had an auto repair concern. Thankfully, they have mechanics here who have done a good job in our experience. Friendly and quick service station. They don’t pressure you to make an unnecessary repairs, but make recommendations accordingly. Dance has been able to schedule me in, if not the same day, within the week.

Went there for many years but I cant trust them anymore. They tried to charge me to correct something they didnt do correctly the last visit and got very rude when I called them on it. I can forgive a mistake but to dig in and get rude when its their mistake? Not when theyre asking me to trust them and pay! It felt like they saw an easy mark and tried to get money for nothing. And thats how you lose trust and entire family of customers like me and mine. Do better, Dance.

Great auto shop. Always great service

I took my car to a local auto parts store to have my battery replaced. However, the car still wouldn’t start. The guy who was working on my car recommended that I take it to Dance Automotive to have them check my starter. He called over to the shop to see if they could fit me in, which they did and even gave me a ride back to my office. Honestly, I was a little worried because I had never been to this auto shop before. Once I got back to my office I checked their reviews online and felt a little better because they had good ratings. After a couple of hours I received a call from Dance Automotive informing me that the battery I just purchased was bad. They had the auto parts store swap it out with another one and my car was good to go. These guys were honest and didn’t try to take me to the bank with a repair that was not needed. I’ve never had any work done by this auto shop but I will in the future simply because they are trustworthy.

First, its hard to find a mechanic that you can trust. But then to find one you can trust that will also fix my car, often times same day, plus giving me a good price and cleaning it too is a dream! I started using Dance primarily because they were convenient to me but after visiting them several times in the past 2 years because of my ailing 2005 Honda I am ever so thankful to have them in Richmond, VA. And because I dont live far, they are kind enough to give me rides if need be. Thomas is great -- excellent customer service with a sense of humor and always explains whats needed to fix my car in a straight forward manner. I highly recommend!!

This was a mixed bag. They care more about money than being honest and making safety a number one priority.

I live only a few blocks from Dance and have always had good experiences. Thomas up front is a straight shooter and he generally can perform work within a days notice. I have had four vehicles receive work and the prices have always been fair and the quality of workmanship has been superb. My family highly recommends Dance Service Center.

I found Dance online looking for a place to get my car inspected. They made an apt for me the next day in the morning. I dropped off my car and it was ready in 2 hours. Very nice staff and an overall good experience.

Although a regular customer for years, this was the first time we have had our car detailed at Dance. Results were amazing, competitively price, and finished in less than a day. Highly recommend any services they offer.

Ive been going to dance since I first moved to richmond five years ago, they are right down the street from me. Although I did think they were ripping me off at first, I was wrong. After taking my car to other shops I realized dance knows what they are talking about. I think they are honest and their work has been great. Recommend for anyone looking for a good reliable

Only been here once but it was a good experience. Honest, fair pricing, and quickly got me back on the road. Stopped for a state inspection where i didnt make an appointment. They found a worn tie rod and gave me the option to buy it myself or have them get it (i work for a auto parts chain so i get a discount). Installed the part and put on my new sticker and on my way i went! Ill be giving them more business as a result. Plus, theyre in the neighborhood which is nice!

The best auto shop in Central Virginia. They are fair, honest and do good work. I have used them for welll over 25 years and have never been disappointed.

I’ve taken my car here a few times when making an appointment at the dealer for little things like a state inspection would have been a pain. They are friendly and fast. I don’t feel like I’m being cheated or talked down to. My husband has also taken his cars here for years. Definitely recommend.
