Every time I visit San Diego to be with family, this is a place I must visit. I buy my spices, cheeses and specialty items here. And I love the food at their restaurant! The meat is well seasoned, but my absolute favorite is the babaganoush, served with their huge bread, that comes hot from the oven. Portions are big, so we usually share and come home with left overs. Will always come back!

First time visitor. Thoroughly enjoyed the Eggplant Hummus sandwich! Came with a dreamy side of creamy garlic spread that made it taste “happy dance” good! Husband had the Gheimeh Stew which was meh. But my selection gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I generally wouldn’t order an item listed as “meat” 😂

Food is absolutely fresh and delicious. Good portion size and staff is super courteous and hospitable. We love eating here and recommend all readers to give their food a try!!

Have always thought their customer service and cashiers were so rude, but today’s experience takes the cake! And now I am seeing many customers feel the same way, across Google and Yelp. I guess I am not the only one. Today, since we hadn’t been in there since the pandemic started, my mom was stocking up on her sugar free cookies. For one of them, she took the whole box (with the smaller boxes inside)...I place it on the belt and as the cashier was ringing up our other items, she raised her arms in the air like it was such an inconvenience to her. Seriously? Like, wouldn’t it be easier to count the number of boxes of cookies as they were neatly inside the bigger box, vs scanning 1x1? Anyway, regardless, it was a super rude reaction by a customer service person. Then, she started throwing each of the scanned items to the end of the counter (for me to bag up). And last but not least, her rude attitude about not being able to touch my cloth grocery bag. (I haven’t been out grocery shopping in awhile, been ordering all groceries online, so I didn’t know what the protocols were.) Will not be coming back, especially after reading all the comments here and on Yelp about their absolutely rude customer service! Every. Single. Time!

Wonderful to have halal options and the prepared food is always off the charts delicious. Everyone is very friendly especially the girls in the deli. The produce prices are very good too with a wide variety to choose from.

Phenomenal food. The best hummus I have ever had and I eat Middle Eastern frequently. I was impressed by the portions and the price. FRESH MADE still hot, Car tire sized pita bread for $1.79!!! I bought 3 to take home to Tucson with me. I had a gyro plate. Really really good. A true diamond in the rough. Will visit just to eat here again!

Middle Eastern market with good variety and options. Affordabke produce and meat. Customer service could be better. Restaurant attach to it seems good but I havent tried it myself

I cannot say enough good things about NPP! Such a delicious menu, they are another of my local favorite. My go to order is the Boneless chicken kebab plate, so smackin. They are always consistent and kind. Keep up the amazing work! Big love

I ordered the boneless chicken kabob plate, and was very pleased. It came with a huge shirazi salad, the softest pita, a very generous portion of saffron rice, garlic sauce, chili sauce and tzatziki. Everything was just perfect.

They need to start bagging groceries for their customers especially the elderly even if they have their own reusable grocery bags. California has opened and all their staff are vaccinated.Start improving your customer service.

Some of the best prices on produce plus some unusual items like sour grapes and fresh figs. The deli has really great food. One plate can feed two people!

The place was half empty, and they said it would be 40 minutes wait for Gyros sandwich. It not like they had to cook anything the gyros meat was right there on a spit going round and round ready to be served up. 30 seconds and I could be walking out happy as a clam. There are not words to describe how frustrating it is to lose half an hour out of your day and the gas it took to drive over there just to have someone give you a ridiculous unwarranted wait time. If you can’t provide the service you are in business to provide then just close up shop. This isn’t rocket science.

Incredibly rude staff at the deli. I was waiting in line for at least 10 minutes at the deli. There was one lady tagging the items and one lady helping people. The lady tagging items looks up and helps someone who came there after me simply because she knew him. Even though the gentleman apologized to me, she proceeded to help him and told me there was a line. Anyone who’s ever been there knows there’s no set place for a line and it’s very disorganized. I still complied and went and stood in line. After she was done helping the first gentleman, she again skipped me and assisted some else. When I asked why, she said she didn’t care, turned to her supervisor and said something in Arabic l, and the supervisor loudly said “I don’t care” so I could hear him. The closure of other stores like Atlas in Poway has enabled these people to be incredibly rude to their customers because they have no competition. Keep it up guys, because no one will shop at your store once you have any competition at all.

Wonderful foods from all over the world! An authentic international market. The store looks small and plain on the outside but dont be fooled. The minute you step in the store, it is like passing through another dimension. So much goodness in one place and in Powey too! The breads, cakes, meat, produce, jellies, sauces, teas, spices, etc were amazing in variety and quality. You can find those hard to find items here too. They even have hookas, yeah for real. The staff was so attentive and friendly. We will be coming back on a regular basis!

Today we drove 75 miles One Way to get to this store & yes its worth the trip! It Is an International Market.Youll find an entire Aisle of Olive Oils & other types.Their fruit was essential to purchase, sweet huge black plums, They offer a Deli chock-full of olives, lunchmeats, cheeses & oh countless types of Feta Cheeses....Todays haul brought home: a 6 lb. box of Medjool Dates (fresh ones) for $15.99. Those tiny cucumbers are gard+fresh - at $1.29 Pita breads are available fresh daily.Many yogurts, feta cheeses, frozen doughs for pastry-baking are available.Before you leave check out the 1st aisle where you entered- give in ty o yi our cookie cravings, you have 3/4 an aisle to choose from!

I would give 0 star if that was an option. Very poor customer service, cashiers are not friendly, they seem like over worked or under pay, it was lunch hour and big line up and this cashier was fixing her eyebrows in the mirror instead of helping customers, she didn’t care at all !! I found that extremely awkward.I ordered family meal and spend $200, I was very disappointed when I opened the trays at home, there was more salad than anything else! More than half of salad went to waste, rice was undercooked, kabob wasn’t enough, big tasteless tomatoes, and burned bread. This place has lower than normal standards, I won’t recommend this place to anyone.

Their baklava options are amazing. I like the variety packs better. they do not stint on the honey so be careful not to eat too much at one time. Their spice section is also awesome, especially if youre search for unusual spices. their meat selection is pretty good with decent prices. Their feta was pretty cheap and tasty! highly recommend this place.

I have been shopping at North Park for many years. They always have a great selection of grocery items and their prices are great.

The baker is very misbehaving with the customer and the other worker.

Stoped by here after hiking potato chip rock staff was really friendly and the food is amazing, my first time trying Persian food. I highly recommend stopping by the bakery and grill.

This is a very good middle eastern grocery store with attached Persian restaurant. The restaurant isnt the very best Ive ever had but it is good, it is authentic and the pricing is reasonable.The grocery side has a good selection and the customer service from both sides is very good. I recommend this place for Iranian and other middle eastern people looking for groceries for Persian dishes but also anyone who likes Iranian food or just fresh produce.

I can’t give any more chances to NPP at this point. I can understand seeing or buying expired/spoiled products here and there but I will not be fooled again for sure.I recently moved to Rancho Bernardo area and started shopping here, just because they’re closer than Balboa International Market.In my last 3 trips, I ended up coming home with spoiled products. Danish feta, Nutella, pasty leaves... I also always see a bunch of expired products on the shelves with molds on them. I try to avoid them as much as I can of course but still... 3 strikes, you’re out! I’d rather drive 15 more minutes and buy better products.

Weekly ads are never up on Tuesday morning and its inconvenient.The whole purpose of the advertisement is to entice The consumer to come in and if its not available until the next day its Lost of one day sale.I have brought this to Managements attention too many times but it doesnt do any good.MAYBE THEY SHOULD START THE SALE ON WEDNESDAYS 🤔🤔🤔

This place is awesome. Its much clearer than it used to be.

I have recently been there to buy my groceries and it was a terrible experience. First I asked the butcher to cut a chicken into smaller pieces, but he told me that they will not do that anymore after 6 PM; however, he did that for other costumers since they were speaking Arabic. Second problem was the attitude of the cashiers and other employees. They really behave like a prison guard. Finally the store was super dirty and they do not follow any of the covid-19 policies. I would definitely not go there anymore.

Very clean and bright place. They have very delicious meats and cheeses. My favorite part is all the time chocolates and wafers they import. There is also an Iranian restaurant right next door. The food smells amazing but I never ate there so I cannot comment on the quality. I think they cook some fresh bread there as well.

The food is amazing here! The service is excellent! Plus there is the added option of the grocery store built right in. I re commend take out because it is always so packed at lunch it can be tough to get a seat. Highly recommend!

Long time customer from when they first opened.Not sure what’s going on in this place but they have a lot of weird rules on how you get bread buy meat and even had problems with waiting in a silly line to check out. Best to go somewhere where they know how to treat customers! Look for alternatives. There are better middle eastern markets out there Not going back

My co workers and I frequently eat at the Persian and Mediterranean Bakery and Grill. The food here is authentic and delicious. My Egyptian friend has said its his favorite Mediterranean place in San Diego! I highly recommend getting the 10 skewer lunch special and share it with 4 people! You will not be disappointed!

Went in for groceries their employees and most people do not care about Corona virus no social distancing and several times i been there i see no one sanitizing anything i will avoid this place until pandamic is over.

I really enjoy coming here as they have a variety of produce for extremely good prices in comparison to local grocery stores, you can’t beat their prices!My 3 stars however is for how north park has responded to the pandemic.1. The store itself isn’t that large, the aisles are narrow and not much space to move your cart around (2 carts can’t pass in an aisle making it difficult to move around in the store). having it be this small i would expect them to put a capacity of customers in the store at a time so it isn’t so crowded. i always feel uncomfortable with being in such a tight area, and today it was beyond crowded i literally didn’t finish my shopping because of how many people were crammed in the store. everywhere else is monitoring the numbers of customers entering and exiting the store and limiting customers, they should be too!2. They also don’t sanitize their carts, they have spray provided outside, but no hand sanitizer to use after touching a bottle that EVERYONE else touches, so the spray is useless when you’re not providing hand sanitizer for after use.3. they don’t sanitize the conveyer belts or credit card machines after a customer is done. i hate having to use the pen to sign knowing that it hasn’t been sanitized, and there’s no sanitizer provided for after touching it.4. i have seen in multiple trips employees wearing masks with their noses open. Not to say their employees aren’t wearing masks. they are, but a few have their masks or bandanas below their nose which is NOT okay.once again everywhere else i’ve been, target, trader joe’s, walmart, costco, sprouts, vons, stater brothers, is implementing all these measures. I always feel safe shopping at these places, but not north park! I really hope they see this review and do something about it.

Usually good produce. Sometimes have to watch for over-ripe fruit. The selection of international foods is fantastic. The restaurant in the store is phenomenal. The family meals are gigantic for the price and the flavors on the meats is awesome.

Restaurant/Grill: The value for the quality and quantity of food you get here is what really stands out. The larger plates are ~$15 and can feed you for 2 meals.Also like coming here for unique produce I cant always find in my usual grocery store, like Papaya

Great place for ingredients for middle eastern, Indian and other cuisines. Great produce section. Great meat counter but, no pork here. The bakery/cafe next door is awesome as well.

It was a wonderful time to be shopping at Big Lots!. The many Halloween and Christmas items and a few Thanksgiving were fun to browse. I went there to buy some dress socks and left with them and a few more treasures.

Love this place. The food is great and plentiful, everyone is very friendly. The kebab plates are enormous and the family meals are unreal. Also we love the tandoori bread.

The employees do not understand the most basic principles of customer service. Before going there, we specifically googled the business to determine what time they close - and the time they had published was 8:30PM. We arrived circa 7:55PM to see a brightly lit OPEN sign, and them closing up shop and cleaning. We are closed the cashier said with a timid smile. It says 8:30 on google, I insisted, its not even 8! At this point one of the cooks cleaning the over chimed in that the 8:30PM starts at a later date. Then why is it published that you close at 8:30 today? I persisted again.A man that mustve been the head cook emerged from the kitchen at this point, failing to hide his frustration with my logic and facts behind feigned politeness. I have already turned off the stove, I cant turn it back on for you, Im sorry. He squeezed out. I understand that, I said, but that no way explains why youre closing when it says 8:30. He proceeded to trip over his words The 8:30 is when I close the dining area, the ordering closes at 8. I let it go at that point, figuring I would not want to reward his behavior with my patronage, but we saw at least 4 other groups of people get turned away in a similar fashion during our exchange.So which is it, guys? Does the 8:30 start next Monday? Is the 8:30 when the dining area closes but the ordering closes at 8? Do you always get frustrated with people who call you out for refusing to work as advertised and then lying through your teeth about it? Unless you enjoy paying to have your intelligence insulted by intentionally obtuse, lying jerks - stay way.

The food here was fantastic! The guy at the counter was enthusiastic and kind. We ordered the Koobideh plate and it was enough to feed the both of us. We also tried their half chicken plate. It was juicy and tender. Definitely recommend this place. Try their hot tea!

Lots of produce at Extremely low prices, the value of your buck is well spent. Many multicultural foods. From middle eastern, Indian and even Mexican. Sausages, cheeses, spices desserts and pickled products. One of my first stops when I go grocery shopping. Today I got 4 chili peppers to make Chile rellenos, 4 purple onions, and 2 bunches on green onions. Total was $1.80. Wow

Great place in the Poway neighborhood that has produce that youll find at your local grocery store and definitely not at these low prices. Specializing in ethnic seasoning and vegetables that you may need for your more fancy recipes.

The prices for produce are reasonable. They carry good qualities and many varieties of feta cheese that you cant find in American store. Almost friendly environment but not a clean store. Since I dont buy meat from there so I dont care if they are clean or not. I purchase produce and fruit which I wash them thoroughly at home. They also carry fresh white and whole wheat pita bread. Id recommend the store if youre looking to save a few more dollars.

I really like the selection of products at this place but unfortunately sale items are not priced correctly when you go to check out. I have been here 3 times and 2 out of those times my sale items have been charged incorrectly.

Top quality, excellent prices, the most friendly staff.I discovered North Park Products in Poway 3 years ago and since, it has become my store of choice.Actually regarding the staff, they are not just friendly, they are the best.

I was in Poway for couple of weeks. I looked for halal shop and found North Park. Well priced and very nice staff. The quality of beef was fair, however, not at my standard. High variety of products. If you look for organic fruit or food, it will not be your choice.

Any store that has a huge cookie and sweets aisle as soon as you walk through the door is a-okay with me! So many great Arabic, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, etc...foods, coffees, snacks, and cooking supplies. I went in looking for Turkish coffee and an ibrik to cook it in, and there was a huge variety of both of those things. The restaurant/bakery has delicious traditional fare for sale, we got an assortment of foods and it was all good!
