The autozone up the street called and asked if this location has a pack of lug nuts on the shelf. This location said they had none. We asked them to double check and pottstown autozone was not interested. I made the drive to pottstown and checked the shelf myself to find (2) packs of lug nuts on the shelf. The atmosphere was sub par compared to other chains. I hope I dont have to go back to this location.

They had the part that I was looking for and they even helped me to confirm it was the correct part.

Update: the staff has been changed since my last review. They were courteous and helpful this time. (Last review)My husband and I have been coming here for years. We have spent thousands. We went in today asked about a tool adapter and they were extremely RUDE. Said if we have it, it will be on the floor. He said it like we were totally bothering him and the 2 other employees he was talking with. We were the only customers in there. Normally someone would have helped us try to find it or at least what isle it would be in. I have never encountered such rudeness in a customer service place.

The older gentleman helped put a battery in our car was so kind . He did a great job. Thank you so much.

My first visit here was last evening. I needed to replace my ripped windshield wiper. The gentleman (Im sorry I didnt get his name) listened to what I was looking for price and performance wise. As we were walking out to put the blades on, I mentioned I should learn how to do this myself. I was surprised at his response which was I can teach you. What incredible service. I left with better wipers then I was overpaying for at the dealer and I now know how to install myself. Thank you. The service here exceeded my expectations and should be an example to other businesses. I sincerely thank the person who helped me.

They have always given me quick and fair service when Ive needed it, including installing a new battery when the temperature was in the teens with a gusty wind.

I am an automotive technician so to you fellow wrenches I need not to say how clutch this place and the staff can be. Without a doubt a lifesaver that theyre are open until at least 9 every night. So when its raining on a Sunday night and its a side job I cant use the excuse that no one is open . Thank you to the wonderful staff who is constantly helping me make money.

Always very helpful and knowledgeable staff, have never had a clerk that didn’t know what they were talking about. They have a little hand-held machine, which they will use on your car to tell you why your “check engine” light came on and give you the code so you can inquire with your personal mechanic. As a single female, have never been ripped off and have always had a pleasant experience. You can also borrow tools if you need them with a license.

This place is great just like any other AutoZone. You can stop grab your oil and theres even a lady out back of the store thatll help you with a Lube job!!!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are more keen on helping a clueless shopper understand what it is theyre buying instead of trying to up-sell them on unnecessary things like most other auto stores do. Autozone will always be the place I go to for everything from car parts to wiper fluid to those little scented trees that you hang in your rear-view mirror. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to get automotive supplies.

Stopped by the one on High st in Pottstown for a check engine light since they do that service for freeIt was raining but I figured there were garage bays in the back by the alleyUnfortunately there were no garages but the service guy still was willing to brave the elements and plug the scan tool into my car.I didnt end up buying anything that day but I do appreciate the effort

These guys try as hard as they can.. But only having a couple employees kinda slows service a bit.. Just be a little patient, and lets hope they get more than 2 guys on a shift (this includes the manager)

The staff dont seem to know whats going on. I purchased brake pads, and they tried selling me about $15 in unnecessary add-ons by making false claims. Later, I discovered that they only sold me three brake pads instead of four.Im generously giving 2 stars because they accepted the pads back and returned my money (after giving me a hard time about it - I was turned away the first time)

I had a need for a certain part for a ten year old car. I call the Pottstown Autozone and yes, I was told, they have it. I show up, nope, they have to order it. I could have accepted a misunderstanding if not for what happened next. I was told that the part would be in by 1pm but to show up around 1:15 to be sure. My father and I drove over at 2 pm. Were now dealing with a third employee and he tells us that the part isnt in yet, probably wont be in until 3 or 4 pm, and is kind of me embarrassed. While this exchange is going on, the employee who told us to be there at 1:15 comes out, never even says anything or apologizes. And to make it worse, no other item we needed was available - an air filter or even wiper blades. We ended up driving up to the Advanced Auto Parts in Gilbertsville where we walked out after 15 minutes with everything we needed - much more professional up there than in Pottstown.

Had them do the free check engine light scan. Zero pressure from the staff and they provided me with a print out with what the code possibly is.
