I have had two wonderful and very easy purchase experiences at Key Acura. I have purchased two vehicles from Tyler and he was so helpful and the entire process was seamless. He went above and beyond in his communication and customer service. Additionally you’ve gotta meet Kenny in the Service department - he’s pretty amazing too. He’s always in touch on the status of my vehicle and always follows up to ask if there’s anything more that is needed. I would definitely recommend Key Acura of Portsmouth to anyone in the market for a car!

Terrible experience trying to purchase a 2021 RDX. While the sales staff were friendly. The GM explained that I was required to trade in a 2011 or newer vehicle or finance the RDX through the dealership. They would not take a certified bank check for the purchase. My family and I will never enter a Key dealership again.

While visiting from out of town I needed service for my Acura RDX. Thankfully, I found Key Acura and had the good fortune of dealing with Amanda and Kenny. Both were extremely helpful, accommodating, caring and efficient! Thanks to the two of them and their team of technicians they identified the problem, ordered the parts and resolved the problem in one day. Although the matter interrupted our New England vacation they made it as pain free as possible. I am grateful to Amanda, Kenny and their team for their professionalism and the care they demonstrate for their customers and I highly recommend Key Acura.

Misleading and deceitful over the phone regarding their policy and models for trade-in values (on an Acura vehicle I was trading in.) They reported using JD Power and KBB as a guide for trade values. Then offered me $3000 less than these models established as a the value of my trade. The Financial Manager / Gen Sales Manager did not have the integrity nor courage to discuss this face to face but was dismissive and had his 22 yo sales person do it. We received an insulting email a few days later from a partnered Acura dealership saying determining a trade value is more than finding a number on the internet. 3 hours later after having left the dealership found a local dealership (not Acura) who offered $1,500.00 more for my trade. Enjoying my new vehicle from this other dealership now. I do not recommend Portsmouth Acura.

The manager and salesperson of this store have a very bad service attitude and racial discrimination. They set a good price for us, but they increased the price when I paid. The manager told me: If the price is not correct, you can Dont buy it, and hang up my phone. I hope everyone will not go to this black shop.( I originally wanted a black car this is picture by email. I didn’t change anything. )

I called on Sunday, worked the entire deal out with the GM over the phone, and picked my car up on Monday afternoon. The whole interaction was the absolute BEST experience Ive ever had with a car dealership!!! Patrick and his team are not into the typical sales games... they are honest and a pleasure to work with. I was energized instead of exhausted by this process. Who can say that for car shopping?! Im still in shock that this all happened so quickly. They beat another deal I had by a landslide and I was so happy to give them my business. Thank you Patrick & team - you are AMAZING and Im recommending you to everyone!!

As soon as I walked into the dealership everyone made me feel welcome. Tyler Plumer was my salesperson and so patient with me in going over information and explaining the vehicles to me. I ended up purchasing a 2022 MDX and couldnt be happier. The car has everything I wanted and more! Tyler was so knowledgeable and took the time to make sure I understood everything in the car and answered all my questions. I do not take bad reviews lightly. I highly value customer service because I provide great customer service at my job. When I dont receive good service its a deal breaker. The only reason this isnt getting one star is because the vehicle we bought seems great.*Caution* if you like a used vehicle that is on this lot call another Key location and get it transferred. These people are the slowest around and do not know how to solve problems. They are not out to make your experience fast, painless, and pleasant. If you value customer service go elsewhere. If your willing to wade through a sea full of excuses, and delays to purchase a vehicle this is the place for you!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP!!I bought a new vehicle in June and it was the worst experience I have ever endured.To start when I bought the vehicle I had to go back to them to sign all of the necessary paperwork (I live in Massachusetts) when I drove up there their “system was down” and therefore the paperwork wasn’t available for me to sign. So I had to drive all the way back home to go back on a different day and I called the dealership that morning letting them know that i was coming up after work so they could have told me then that they didn’t have the paperwork ready for me to save a trip from driving up there. After that it went all downhill very quickly. When all the paperwork was signed i was able to drive the car home and they said they would register my car “as a convenience/complimentary service” well it turned out to be the most inconvenient process I’ve ever had to go through.My car took 1 month to register I kept following up with the dealership on the status of the registration and I always got the answer “the paperwork is at the registry were waiting to hear back” which turned out to be a complete lie. After numerous calling back in forth for weeks and speaking with the general manager Patrick he was completely rude and unprofessional to me. Said he is going to overnight my paperwork to my insurance company and have them deal with registering the car and went on to say that he had “other customers to service” and hung up on me. I have never been so mistreated.My insurance company Registered my car in 2 days and turns out the reason why my car took so long to register was because the dealership wrote the title out wrong and didn’t have my name on there as the purchaser of the vehicle. End result I had to pay an additional $196 fee to the RMV for the car not being registered in timely manner. I called Acura client care to voice a complaint against this dealership and to at least have them reimburse me that $196 fee since it was 100% their error and the dealership refused. I can’t even express in words how unsatisfied I am with the whole experience and service I received from this dealership esp from the general manager Patrick. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Whoever is thinking of purchasing or leasing a car I would highlyRecommend doing business elsewhere than here. I wouldn’t want what i went through for another customer to go through.

This review is for service. At the time, I had a pleasant experience. A little slow, but happy to have them take their time. After the fact, I brought to a local mechanic because my car would not start. I was informed that my battery had been neglected during routine maintenance and didnt have any water present. It should have been caught at my last service appointment and during their thorough inspection a couple months ago. I would suggest going somewhere else.

My mother was looking to purchase a vehicle through this dealership, to which she was at the point she was calling to get the financing all approved so she could purchase it the next day. She spoke with Rawle about a price they could do out the door, which worked for her and supposedly him as well. He then had to call her back and calls back an hour later with a story that the vehicle was sold and no longer available. The story was hard to believe, so the next day I check the website to see if the vehicle was still up for sale (dealerships are very adamant about taking a vehicle down once sold) and to my surprise it was! I called to verify, and even speaking with Rawle, the vehicle was still available! The financing fell through at the last second, I tried to get it down to the 21,580 for her, the vehicle was sold I never lied. THE FINANCING HAS TO BE APPROVED AND SIGNED BEFORE THE VEHICLE IS SOLD. So instead of being honest and up front in the first place, we get told lies to try to cover it up. I find this to be an extremely poor experience in purchasing a vehicle, which is stressful enough in the first place. Would not recommend or ever consider buying a vehicle from this dealership again.

Worked with Anton to buy my daughter her first car. It was his first day but youd never know it, he was very knowledgeable and super helpful. It was a painless experience, in and out of there with car in a coupe hours. Once we brought car home we realized the key fob wasnt working. A quick note to Anton and two days later we had two new working keys. Top notch service all around.

Very impressed with the associates here, I needed help with something and these guys went out of their way to help me. Not once did I feel pressured by anyone here. I did go to key Chevy down the street and drive a couple trucks Ed helped us there and he was great also. Ultimately I decided on a 2016 ram 1500. The truck is beautiful and Im so happy I got it. Once I did make up my mind I was done with paperwork and on my way with my new truck!! I took my car in because it was making noises..they were so nice to give me a loaner to get to work..they called me 1st thing and let me know of the issues it was having..once completed they called me with the $$. They said they would have it ready by 5pm....they washed it as well...I will definitely pass along how great they were!!!!

Worst treatment ever obtained from car dealership. Was called to get signatures for a car they bought, however I did not sell them car. When I expressed concern that my identity was stolen they shrugged off. Then I got call back from man rudely accessing me of stonewalling .. I expressed concern and was hung up on. I caller d back and was given no assurance my identity was not compromised just treated rudely. Stay far far away from this place

Special thanks to Rawle and Patrick for helping me purchase a 2019 Acura A Spec yesterday. Drove two hours from Maine last Tuesday to test drive it, worked the deal out over the phone and picked the car up on Sunday. At Key Acura, they helped me immensely. The scenario...I realized a grinding noise in my wheels. They easily diagnosed it as rear brake replacement. At the time I had only stopped by to have it checked out. Later in the day I was able to commit to an appointment scheduled for 2 days later. They recommended not to drive it until the work was done. However, being stranded over an hour away from home, I didnt really have the option to leave it. They were out of loaner cars. BUT... Kevin (the mechanic) spoke up and said, Hey I have some used brake pads I can throw on it for the next couple of days so you can drive it... This was a huge help as I drive for work.Upon the date of my appointment, they gave me a loaner car to use for the day, which was my day off and fully planned with wedding progress. They had it done in just a few hours.These guys really helped me out and made the situation as easy as possible. I really appreciate the help guys!

The only complaints are they didnt give me a full tank of gas on purchase, no owner manual and only 1 key which cost me another $350.

I shopped all New England area Acura dealers before purchasing 2019 RDX from Key Acura. Marie (General Manager) was extremely friendly, honest and even called me back on her day off! Sales rep Jessie is very friendly & extremely knowledgeable on all Acura features.The reviews on the building being older since they just moved are fair, but a little patience until Key Acura builds state of the art Acura facility early next year.If you are looking for best Acura pricing without the hassle or surprises that other dealers try to add in, you need to give Marie a call or just stop by Key Acura!!!

I called in about a car and left a message as nobody was at the dealership to take my call. John Rydin promptly got back to me the next day. The car I originally called about had been sold but John worked with me to get me into something that fit my needs and budget. After a great test drive John asked me how I liked the car. I felt non of the typical pressure to buy now from him. After a very short negotiation we landed on a fair price and proceeded with the deal. Tony in finance was also great. Im in the process of rebuilding my credit and he did everything he could to get me approved at the best possible rate he could. I wasnt made to feel bad about my less than perfect credit and Tony really bent over backwards for me. Communication was great through the entire process from both Tony and John. This is the second car Ive bought from Prime and will be buying my next one here as well. I cant say enough about what a great experience I had. Thank you John and Tony!

I had a great experience working with Prime Acura North. Saleswoman, Marsha, was wonderful and really advocated for me and my trade in (my situation was quite a tricky one). Manager, Steve Bradley, was pleasant, friendly, and willing to work with me as well. I have been looking for a SUV for my family since January and was repeatedly told that my trade in would not work for what I wanted and what I wanted my monthly payment to be. Marsha supported me and Steve found a way to make it work, he truthfully brought tears of happiness to my eyes. They both have gone above and beyond for me and I could not be any more appreciative. We had about as good of an experience as you can ask for buying a new car with Prime Acura North! Would definitely recommend them to others.After having a poor experience at another dealership, we were pretty hesitant to share any information - including phone number or email address, and they were very understanding and respectful of the time we wanted to take in shopping around.In the end, we got the car we wanted at a fair price, and a decent trade-in deal. Happy all around - thank you Prime & thank you to the sales person, Phil, for making our experience one that we were very happy with - I love my new car!

No longer owned by Prime and has recently moved to Portsmouth from its North Hampton location where I used to go in the last 7 years. Was here for the first time after the move. Staffs are still very helpful and friendly, but the building is a total downgrade compare to the North Hampton location. Very confusing to navigate into the service bay, cars parked everywhere blocking the entrance, small and outdated waiting lounges, Dover Honda feels much luxurious compare to this dealership at this point, but I heard a total renovation is coming up to the building this spring, that’s very good news! For now, 5 stars for services and staffs, 2 stars for the facility. I’ll be back next year to get another service on my MDX and look forward to giving this dealership a solid 5 stars next time.

My wife and I drove down from Maine to Key Acura of North Hampton to shop for a new car (inexplicably, there are no Acura dealers in Maine) with the usual trepidation we feel whenever we face the ordeal of buying a car. We were pleasantly surprised by Sales Consultant, John Rydin and the entire Key Acura team (we were cordially greeted by John and the general manager, Marie, when we arrived) who made the entire process of buying a car more pleasant than any previous such purchase we’ve ever made. I bought my first Acura in Peabody. It was a 2005 TSX, I received a coupon from Prime Acura North and took my car up there for an oil change. That was years ago, and I bring my car there for service every time! I love the staff and how friendly they are. They are great, Im greeted by name every time I go in. If you own an Acura, and live on the Seacoast of NH, you should bring your car to this service department! I also recommend Marsha in sales - beyond friendly and helpful!

My MDX with an electrical problem was left for a week, while I was traveling. This problem has been addressed by other mechanics in Maine where I live. After paying over and over for work that did nit fix the problem, they recommended I take it to an authorized Acura dealer, the closest is this one, 3 hours away (there are none in ME) Every day while traveling I called for an update and was told that it was being diagnosed while we were on the phone. Obviously that is not true. On the last day of the week, when I was returning, it was finally looked at that afternoon. I arrived after the service department was closed, picked up the car & I drove home. It started the next morning. I called and paid the bill that was left in the car. I was told the problem was fixed. (I am also disappointed that the car was not washed as was promised.) Later in the day I tried the car and it did not start. That was a month ago and the car remains in the driveway, unable to drive. I am very disappointed with the entire experience. I do not recommend Key Acura of Portsmouth.

Though I cant speak of the sales department, the service department is superb. I have tried several different dealers for service and Prime continues to outperform the others; their labor rate is cheaper, appointments are available at your schedule (rather than the other way around) and the folks are extremely cordial. The quality of work is excellent and I never have to wait longer than Im quoted.The only downside is the dealership isnt as updated with amenities as other Acura dealers (it needs a remodeling to be honest) but Im happy sitting in an outdated waiting room to keep the costs of service down and speed of service up.

We did not purchase our car from here but we did from another Prime location. My wifes 2010 honda civic was brought in for an oil change today and the service team inspected the vehicle. They found shot break pads and rotors and could not believe the car was sold to us like this. The parts and service is being covered and we are thankful for such a great service team! I will proceed to bring my vehicles here and purchase from in the future!

I just started going to this Acura dealership for service a year ago and I am so impressed by their service team that Im considering buying my next car here because you cant get this kind of care just anywhere. One time my car broke down as I was pulling into a parking lot to get on a bus. I called them from the bus and they traveled 15 miles to my car to see if they could get it running and then towed it to their shop. They fixed it while I was at work and had it all warmed up and waiting for me when I picked it up later that day. Where else could you find such personal care. I jokingly called Dave dad.

I recently purchased a 2014 MDX from Prime. From the start this is a first rate operation. Adam, my salesman, was very personal yet professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with through the process. His communication about what was available and when it would be ready for pick up was outstanding, he was obliviously concerned about making it as easy as possible for me. Running through the financing with the finance guy was quick and easy. Finally the delivery of the car was thorough while being as quick and efficient as possible with all of the explanations of the many options. Bought a used vehicle within the last month, and while I think the deal was ok, the dealership would not stand behind an $18k+ car, and customer service was horrendous, especially for a high-end dealership. Physical flaws were concealed and never disclosed, so I guess thats why the price was good. Will seriously have to think twice about buying here again.

Long story short, jumped from a Pilot to a MDX. We reside 2 hours north of Key Acura so 90%+ of the business was done ahead of time by phone, email and text. Connor in Sales was simply on point – couldn’t have asked for a better professional. Joey on the management side and Mike in finance were also amazing to work with. Before you sign off on your next Honda, consider visiting these fine folks and I bet you won’t be disappointed – we sure weren’t. We love the SUV, love the service and will certainly return for future business. Front desk who run the automotive department are pretty unfriendly and they dont seem to put much effort into fixing your car... Also, they put over 300 miles on my leased car and did nothing to fix it... They let a mechanic drive it around for days like it was his.

I was interested in trading in my 2013 Audi all road for an Audi S4 spoke to a salesman on Tuesday told him I had some family issues I had to work through and will be contacting him by the end of the week. I received an email at 10:30 at night on Wednesday asking me if I was kicking tires or serious about looking at an Audi S4. I have never dealt with such rude and unprofessional sales people in my entire life especially considering I never even stepped foot in the dealership. I will never purchase a vehicle from here, and I do not recommend any one else do so.

Never shopped here and wont now. I was on the lot looking at their Mercedes, BMW and Audis. They had a great selection dont get me wrong, and I have worked in the automotive industry and know good sales people. I wasnt their for more than 10 minutes before starting to leave and someone from sales came screaming around a tight corner seeing me last second and blasting me with his horn as tho i was in his way and made a seemingly rude gesture to me. To me that screams aggressive sales tactics and i immediately lost interest. He did apologize but he also lost my sale. Im not like most people but buyer beware when you see a full lot and no one outside, you may get help you may not. First impressions are important when youre looking to lay down a cash for a car.

I just purchased a used Forester (our second car from Prime this year!) and was very happy with the initial purchase process! Everyone was friendly and made sealing the deal easy. After my garage looked the car over and mentioned that the tires were fairly worn, Prime also replaced all of them at no charge! My only complaint would be with the service department wait times... I had to come back to have an inspection sticker put on, and this took over an hour and a half. When the tires were replaced, it took three hours (!!)... Both times I had made an appointment, and it was known that I was waiting. Other than those inconveniences, I am very pleased with our car buying experiences here.

Great overall experience at Acura North. My sales rep Brian went out of his way to have a vehicle I liked brought up from their Walpole location. It was a certified RDX that literally looks like it was never driven. I was happy with the price, and the vehicle runs like a dream. The sales group was low pressure too. Yes they asked if Id consider financing with them, and buying an extended warranty, etc...but when I declined they moved on and in no way tried to push me on things. Thats the first time Ive ever walked out of a dealership without feeling worn down, and I really appreciated it. If I stay with Acuras in the future, theyll certainly get my repeat business!!
