I went there for an oil change. I had a coupon. She baited me by telling me that I could “get away” with the 20 dollar oil change… trying to appear honest. I left my car, when I returned I was informed that my oil had not been changed because my plug was bad and they were afraid that if they took it out I would need a “whole new oil pan” and this was not a “quick and easy fix” the “mechanic” then when to point out some other “issues “ of course I didn’t know what I was looking at. I am trusting them. So I told him that and he said that it “wasn’t really at that point yet??” So I asked him why he brought it up then? So I’m in full blown panic about my car. She’s quoting me almost 1000.00 dollars for my new oil pan. So I told them to put my car back on the ground. They did change my turn signal for 30 dollars! I took it to my regular mechanic who advised that I did need a new plug. It was 8 dollars. He also said that even if the threads were messed up that the fix was probably another 15 dollars. Why would someone do that to another human being? I work hard for the money I have? I was upset! My blood pressure was way up. I was on tears. These people are thieves!!! BEWARE!

Beware of this company. I paid them $2400 to fix my front end and drove away with it in worse shape than it was before bringing it to them. Brought it back the next day so they could fix it and they tried telling me it was something else and not their faulty work and wanted another $1500 from me. I took it to another shop and they immediately identified their faulty work and fixed it. Best Choice auto has refuse to refund me for their faulty work and I am seeking civil litigation against them.Tyler was the mechanic who did the faulty work and Denise is the front desk worker who denied me contact with the stores owner who doesnt work there and apparently doesnt care about quality work being performed for paying customers.

I took my vehicle in because it was accelerating poorly and making a racket while doing it. The customer service person explained that because there was no check engine light on, they couldnt use computer diagnostics, so they would have to go through each system individually to determine the problem. He told me this labor-intensive diagnostic process would cost $60.The actual diagnostic they performed was driving the car around the block twice, whereupon they informed me I need a new transmission. The vehicle never even entered a bay, and I never saw them pop the hood. So much for that laborious, system-by-system diagnostic process! I paid a grown man $60 to drive my car around the block.It turns out Best Choice Auto Care is not, in fact, the best choice.

We have been a customer for a few years! The AC went out in our car we took in and the had to replace a rear evaporator coil, charged it up and $792 later the AC is fixed. On the way home the AC quit working and back to shop we go! Now it turns out the condenser they replaced 4 years ago went bad! Now that needed to be replaced! All good found out it was still under warranty but the labor was not part of the warranty. No problem totally understand. Another $262 dollars and the car has working AC! Took the car home and next day drove car to work and on the way home from work the AC quit working car made some whining noise and quit working! So now we are stuck in traffic having to wait for a tow truck. The next day I called Best Choice Auto Repair and explained what happened and at this point I asked for half of our money back as we were not going to spend anymore money fixing a problem that is not getting fixed. I was told they need to look at the car again to see if any of the new parts were defective! I stated again we do not want to spend anymore money we would just like half the money back! He stated that was not possible! Very disappointed and we will Never recommended there service!

My experience with this place was absolutely horrible. The front “lady” was the rudest zero customer service and quite frankly should be fired.I’d be embarrassed as an owner if someone like that was the first face people saw. Customer Service isn’t hard, treat others the way you’d want to be treated. Greet with a “Hello”, “How can we help you today?”This poor excuse of woman said none of that. All I wanted was the keys to show the car to a potential buyer. I planned to have them fix the car based on what they told me was wrong.ALL they’ve done is run a diagnostic. The mechanic I worked with told me it’d be $50.This woman told me absolutely not I owed $150 for the diagnostic & refused to give me the keys to even show the potential buyers the inside.She even went so far as to say, we were having it towed Monday if you didn’t show up.The car was there a week.No one called to give me the diagnosic no one told me what was wrong.This woman, didn’t even ask if I wanted them to fix it.... she called the mechanic who corrected her it was $50!! I paid it.She couldn’t wait to get me out of there.Didn’t want the job to fix it.Just get OUT!!Don’t go there!!And if you do, make sure you get a second opinion.Diagnosis is WRONG!!!

Went in to have a new Water Pump and Transmission Fluid changed. I had been driving along when my temperature gauge started climbing to hot. I pulled off to discover the mechanic had left the hose that runs from the radiator to the coolant reservoir completely disconnected. Its a good thing I had been paying attention to my gauge, otherwise I could have blown my engine. I would definitely NOT recommend this place.

I am not pleased with my experience today. Got charged for labor to plug in a diagnostic and then a separate half hour to replace a part that didnt even fix the situation.. My paper says blower motor resistance 72.88 then replace blower motor resistance 65.24 so 214 dollars for a part that didnt fix the problem because front blower is inoperative. Not working now but sometimss works. Guy said it broke in between the diagnostic and replacing the part... Its in the middle of summer and instead of trying to be more helpful we got ripped off for labor and parts that did not work...i will not be returning to this location and will not recommend for anyone... For the money i spent i did get a detail of things wrong with the vehicle... Wow thanks...

Our battery died while at the beach. We stopped at two other places to get a new one and nobody would touch it. The mechanic stayed late to put a new battery on our car so we could get home. They were fast and courteous. I highly reccommend!

I do a lot of my own work. But I dont have a press....so I turned to Best Choice. The main reason being is that I used to run wrecker in the north-end of town. I would tow people all the way down here because they trusted this shop, anybody I ever dealt with that had dealt with this shop went on and on about them. So as I said, I turned to them for help and they were able to slide me in within a couple of hours to do what I needed. Fair price. They were busy too, they couldve pushed me off. But they didnt....knockn out my job and having about my work. Very polite and professional people, and easy to talk with too. They did a follow up later as well. Just great Main Street experience if Ya will. =)

I was very happy with Best Choice, very honest and knowledgeable people at the desk. With that said, the last two times I took my vehicle there for an oil change I was very unsatisfied. First, the air conditioning recycle does not work in my vehicle any longer. This was after whoever worked on my vehicle said, he couldnt get the cover off of the interior filter. I also had to go back so the oil change message could be reset, as it wasnt done. The last time I went for an oil change, the add oil message was coming on. When I brought it back, again, the gentleman said it was 2 quarts low and he must have gotten distracted when he was putting oil back in the vehicle. NOT ACCEPTABLE. Wont be going back

On Saturdays Best Choice closes at 3:00 pm. My AC went out and I stopped to have it check at 1:00 pm hoping it was an easy fix. To my dismay, my compressor had stopped working and I asked for a Monday appointment. Tom said well if I had the time he would check and see if they could squeeze it in. I was on the road in less than 2 hours feeling cool. I was impressed!

There are many repair shops out there - most are honest and reliable; however, finding the right fit between the customer and the management requires time and satisfactory repair experience. I joined the Best Choice family some 20-years, ago. Ive never regretted my decision. Most important to me is quality care for my vehicles and estimates detailing the work required and its cost. I am from out of state. While visiting my mother I could not identify a sound on my vehicle. Left my car with them and they identified and made me feel better. Then I need an alignment and went back. Very nice people, however I havent had much luck with the repairs that Ive done. My Jeep needed front end work because everything was pretty much worn out. $1600, rides worse than it had before! Motor mounts replaced.... Im not sure what I paid, but more than $1000, now one is broken.Replaced all brake rotors, calipers and shoes.Completely wrong brakes for my car, now all of it needs to be replaced again. The rotors are now a pretty shade of blue!Im sorry for a less than stellar review, but Ive spent well over $7k and dont feel I got my moneys worth.

Most rude, disrespectful guy at front desk. He was an older man who just had such a nasty attitude for no reason to both my sister and I. I was almost in shock. We just came to get an inspection. He was so condescending, I almost left, but I really needed my car looked at and other places nearby were booked that day.Also lied about necessary repairs! Said we needed new front struts, among other stuff totaling $1300. Took my car else where, to two different auto shops who said it was fine and the struts were fine and the car needed no repairs! Worse car shop with the worst customer service by the older man up front. The woman there seemed very nice however.Would never recommend this place to anyone after how he treated us and the false repairs they claimed.

I was on vacation in the Port Orange area when my brakes began making a screeching noise. I had new front brakes installed in Ohio four months earlier. My Ohio garage was a NAPA authorized shop and they recommended that I take my car to the nearest NAPA authorized garage. That was great advice. I went to Best Choice Auto Care in Port Orange and they went above and beyond not only to get my brakes fixed but also get the work performed under the NAPA warranty coverage. Tom took charge of getting the original invoice from the Ohio garage and then began communicating with the NAPA warranty department. Tom diligently worked with the warranty group and eventually got the claim approved. I was anxious to still enjoy the day at the beach and decided to get a rental car. Instead of waiting to have Enterprise pick me up, Denise volunteered to drive me to get he Enterprise location. Tom even retrieved my beach chairs out of the back of my car and I was off to the beach! I returned the next day and my car had new front brakes. And the NAPA warranty covered the entire cost of the front brakes.I couldnt be happier with how I was treated and the work performed. You have a natural worry when out of town on vacation that the garage has you over a barrel. Not so with Best Choice Auto Care. They treated me like a life long customer. Bravo Tom and Denise!

This place was a God send for us. We were just getting ready to start a 5 hour drive back home from our vacation here in Daytona when the starter in the car decided to give out and start a fire. We luckily parked in the auto parts next door when it happened and got a tow to their place. They replaced the starter for us in less than 2 hours when they were closing in 2 hours as well. Super nice. Super helpful and gave us a very reasonable price that included a warranty on the part and labor. I would give them 6 stars if I could on here.

Where to start? Had a medium sized problem with my older car, Best Choice fixed it when it worked for me and my weird schedule. Upfront pricing, quick work.It gets better. I had an issue with my door handle that I had not planned on fixing. After picking my car up, I decided that I’d go ahead and fix my handle too. I called back in, and Jim’s wonderful wife (I hope I’m getting this right) Denise remembered me even though I hadn’t seen her in person in over a year. They had already sourced and priced my replacement handle without me even having asked!! Just waiting for the off-chance that I would decide to fix it. My car is not even close to newer, so I know it couldn’t have been easy to source the door handleAmazing customer service!!!I brought my car back in, again on my weird schedule, and they accommodated me with no issues. When I picked my car up, I noticed that they had fixed my driver’s side window crank without me even asking!! And no charge too!!Special recognition to Tom as well, he’s been great this whole time as well.Can’t say enough. No accusations, just a story of my Jeep repairs for the last few months at Best Choice Auto Care. They are always courteous and responsive to problems. I got an oil change at Best Choice (09162019). When I picked up my Jeep, I was told the Rack and Pinion steering was leaking and should be replaced. They replaced it (10/22/2019) and an A/C discharge line that was reported as leaking. (A/C was working fine). Shortly thereafter (01/08/2020) I had a problem with the steering not feeling tight. It felt fine before replacing the Rack and Pinion. They checked it and said I needed an intermediate shaft in the steering linkage. They repaired it. (01112020) A few days later, I had a check engine light. With free help of AutoZone, I found there was a vacuum hose that was unhooked. The coupling location was right next to the steering linkage. Shortly thereafter, the high pressure steering hose on the power steering started leaking 02042020. Again, it was right near the rack and pinion. They replaced the high pressure hose. I was told the parts came from NAPA. After the servicing, I looked on the NAPA website for the parts and found that the prices I was charged were approximately three times what NAPA charged. (185.98 --NAPA price 85.99 for power steering hose:: $71.40 -- NAPA price 27.99 for serpentine belt )(In my opinion quite a mark-up). I did not check the other parts to see what kind of a mark-up was involved. Thankfully, my Jeep has been problem free for two weeks now.

I had been using Best Choice Auto to service my 2006 Corolla since moving to Port Orange in 2012, but in recent years theyve been going thru auto techs at a rapid rate. The high turnover rate is reflected in the service they provide. I decided to stop taking my car there after my boyfriend noticed 2 loose bolts on my tires after an oil change and tire rotation. Avoid this place if you value your safety. Also, the brunette at the front is obnoxious to downright rude.

BEWARE: The work is good but they will try to cheat you. If you are not aware of actual part prices, actual labor times, and are able to negotiate pricing, then stay away. They will take you for a ride with your own wallet. I negotiated a $500 dollar radiator change down to $385, and I still feel like I got ripped off. They charge $50 for EACH diagnosis performed and about $100 an hour for labor, which they use a computer program to estimate labor time with a base minimum of 1 hour. So if you have a 30 minute fix, you still get charged for an hour of labor, basically stealing $50 from you. They also purchase their parts from Advanced Auto next door, which is already marked up, only to mark it up themselves. Find someplace else with a better and honest reputation.

I took my car in for AC trouble, I told them I had just recharged it less than a month ago. They could not find leak. However Tom said I could take it anywhere in tech net when I pcs to get it fixed after they recharged it. Here I am 4 months later. I took it to dealership after Denise and Tom changed their tune and told me they wouldnt stand by their word because I should have looked on back of receipt to see that it wasnt a repair. I trusted them because they seemed trustworthy but when it got real they didnt do what they said they would. Make sure you record the conversation with them if they say that the warranty will cover you!

Very Upset, They told me my van was in great condition for the year and did matinence on it....Next thing you know when i was driving the engine seized up and i was stranded! Why would they say this!!! They just did work on it and said it was good to go....Very pissed off and they owe me an explanation and money!!! Dont take your vehicle here....I will never do business with this place ever again and no one i know will either!

Kudos to Best Choice for their honesty. I recently brought my car to a Chevy dealership in NSB for a check engine light. After two days and several unanswered calls they finally got back to me with an estimate of $2100.00 and a song and dance trying to set me up for the kill. I declined the repair, they billed me a $129.00 diagnostic fee and brought it to Best Choice. Tom got right on it and called me back in an hour. He actually did the complete repair for $120.00 and it purrs like a kitten now. Thanks to Tom and Kathy for their honesty, courtesy and prompt service.

I was completely insulted and shocked by the lack of professionalism, Very rude. My car broke down so my boyfriend and I pushed it there. Not knowing the problem we asked them to help us find out whats going on. They told us it would be $60 just for them to plug in the computer. Being that money is tight we asked them to give us a few minutes to discuss our finances. Less then 5 minutes later a lady came out very rudly telling us to get the car out of her garage if we werent going to pay for the service then. We immediately remained humble and pushed our broken down vehicle right out of there shop. If they were that concerned about a young honest couple rushing into an unsure business deal, then Im positive they would have done anything to squeeze an extra dollar out of what little we have. They seem to care soley about money and non what so ever about the customer .

I had someone take car to them for check engine light. He told them clutch was bad! Had new clutch put in car 3 months ago at reputable mechanic also said head gasket was bad! Car has no over heating problem at all. Sounded like he wants to make some money????

They have always been fair before, this last time they artificially inflated my oil change timeline by about 4 months and wanted to charge me $50 to replace a $20 cabin air filter.

My car broke down on I-95 N last week on the way to St. Augustine. I was devastated that my vacation was delayed, but my car got towed here and I cannot say enough about how kind Jim was and how good the customer service was!My car was up and running in about three hours (My cooling fan blew a fuse??? I know nothing about cars.) and we still got to enjoy our trip! I got a text from him a couple days later to make sure my car was still running okay and I just got a thank you card from them in the mail.My mom jokingly said it might be worth the drive from Orlando just to have them fix it if it breaks down again. Haha.Thank you again!

My alternator went bad just as I pulled into AutoZone right across the street from Best Choce Auto and the car died and would not start. AutoZone diagnosed the problem and sold me a new alternator. Charged my battery just enought to get me across the street to Best Choice Auto. I had to be in Orlando to catch a flight in two hours as was looking to rent a car.Best Choice Auto went all out to help me, they installed the alternator in no time at all, had two guys working on it and I was out of there in less than 40 mins. Got to the airport in plenty of time. What I thought was going to turn into a bad day worked out fine thanks to Best Choice Auto and all for under $99.00 Thanks you guys for helping me out and providing a top notch professional service.
