Bought a landscaping rack here which was overpriced. Used it for 30 minutes and the forks bent. Hedberg wouldn’t offer a return or credit for a poor product. Disappointing.

If you are into paying too much and waiting too long to get loaded then this is you’re place. My advice would to be to spend your time finding somewhere else with better customer service and spend your money on the extra gas to get there.

Very friendly service and made getting the gravel and sand we needed really easy. We never even had to leave our house. The delivery was on time and not too expensive. The material was very reasonably priced (1/4 the cost of a box store).

Came to pick up a load of sand as a base for our above ground pool. Every person we spoke to was friendly and helpful. Process was easy and prices were very reasonable. 5/5 will definitely recommend.

Excellent place to buy stone and water garden supplies for your home projects.They also have dark colored mulch which looks great around your garden flowers.Very helpful staff and oftentimes theres an outdoor checkout station which is very convenient.

Don’t be intimidated! The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you don’t know what you’re doing and it’s your first time, at a place like this, just go to the desk and ask for help. Their discount area is awesome as well! I would say they are on the higher end side, so prices are a little more but generally worth it and conveniently placed for the twin cities.

Brenda at the Plymouth store went over and above to provide great customer service! Not only did she go out of her way to make sure we were buying the right products, then took the time (after the store hours) to make sure we knew step by step how to install the products. We will be back for our next landscape project.

This company is all show. While there are wonderful people that work there, take your business elsewhere. They underpay their hourly employees, and over charge you as a customer. The owner usually can be found on vacation. Go to brock white or another supplier.

Great place for products, delivery people were outstanding. One caution: do your own measurements. Do not rely on salespeople, as they will oversell you to death. Our neighbors were given 2x the amount of flagstone needed for a patio, and I was sold 3x concrete crushed base. Good to get 25% more than needed, but this was ridiculous. But that, of course, is our own fault--measure it yourself, order the right amount, and Hedbergs is the place to go.

I have always been a big fan of Herberg but after today I had to write a review.I am a believer that no business is perfect especially with all the variables in this industry. Any decent business can get you the supplies you need at a fair price but only a great business covers your back when things go wrong.Somehow we were loaded with yellow limestone instead of red. I didn’t catch this when they loaded the truck, when we showed up to the job or even when the job was finished because the materials are so similar. After the 4th of July holiday I received a call from a rightfully dissatisfied customer who had the wrong stone installed in her gardens. I went back to hedberg and explained the situation and couldn’t not have asked for anything further from their staff. I wasn’t accused or treated disrespectfully I was allowed to explain the situation fully and the manager on staff listened attentively and proceeded to ask what they could do to fix the issue.Hedberg gave me everything I asked for and both parties walked away with a smile and a handshake.Anyone could have sold me red limestone and I would have been happy. But the honorable service providers and their willingness to help me solve this issue is why I am forever a patron to hedberg after this!Sincerely,SpencerAvid Lawn Care

I just had a great experience with Carley. She was exceedingly compotent and helped answer all my novice questions. Plus, all the other staff was very helpful and considerate. They have a great selection of all the material you might need for any landscaping project. I will definitely be using Hedbergs for any of my future projects!

Purchased about $113 of lighting for water feature. Since I was uncertain if the lights would fit in the basalt columns and the type of adaptor needed, I confirmed with the lead person in the pond lighting department that there would be no restocking charge if I returned the items. The items did not fit but when I returned them, the desk clerk stated the pond person would have to inspect the items in order to get a full refund and that would occur after she returned from lunch. I left several messages to check and no one returned my call. A 10% restock charge for items that are returned in perfect condition in original packaging is ridiculous. I would recommend Bachmans.

Consider this a cautionary tale:I purchased stone from Hedberg in October for re-doing a fireplace in my home. Upon ordering I was told the stone from this quarry arrives in 1.5 - 2 weeks. A week and a half later I called to see if my stone had arrived, the person I spoke to said they needed to talk to purchasing (this was a common theme, every time I called I was put on hold or was told someone would call me back after they spoke to purchasing). I was told it would be another two weeks before the stone would arrive. When I pressed on why this was much longer than the initial timeframe communicated I was never given an answer. I pressed them to see if this order could be fulfilled sooner as this new timeframe would leave a half completed fireplace for Thanksgiving. Again they would speak to purchasing. A new date of only an additional week delay was set. Week later I called back (another common theme, at no point during this did Hedberg proactively call me, I initiated all communication). I was told that my stone was not in and they would need to speak to purchasing; no one called back with a new date, so I had to call again. New date was another week out. I explained that I had booked a mason to do this work, and he had turned down other work to complete my project prior to Thanksgiving. I now had to pay my mason for his time with no materials to work with. Another promise to speak to purchasing about what could be done. I called back later that day for an update; they could put a rush on the order. Normally there is a charge for this, but they would waive that charge. However, since they never called me back, and I finally called back at the end of the day, the rush would still take two additional days. Had they just moved forward with the rush I would have saved a day. Two days later I called that morning to see if my stone was in yet. It was. Again, at no point during this process did Hedberg contact me informing me of delays, or even informing me when my stone arrived. I spent extra money to get my fireplace complete prior to hosting Thanksgiving. My mason was *literally* walking out the door of my house Thanksgiving morning as my family arrived in the driveway. A week later I went back to Hedberg to return one unused box of stone. I was told that it was a special order and it could not be returned. 1) When ordering I specifically ordered and extra box on the advice of their salesperson who told me that if it wasnt used it could be returned. 2) Im baffled how this was a special order considering it was a stone they have on display right behind their desk in the showroom. 3) Nowhere on my receipt did it state this item was not returnable (other purchases/receipts did state some specific items that were not returnable). The woman I spoke to did finally agree to take back the stone, but said she couldnt waive the 10% restocking fee. Really? After all of this, you are going to nickel and dime me for 10%? I strongly urge you to take your business elsewhere as my experience with Hedberg was that of a complete lack of customer service at all levels.

Horrible company did a huge project and one of the girls called me from there apologizing saying her boss was overcharging my credit card and she felt bad and wanted me to know that he had done so. Stay away from this company!! There prices are way cheaper at the other stores. I had been using them for years but now after that incident of theft I have moved and the other guys are way cheaper almost half
