As far as Im concerned, this is the only place I will come to have work done on differential. These guys are great! Friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and extremely fair.. Heard a whirring noise that I thought was coming from the rear differential.. Same day they took me in to test drive and diagnose.. He told me everything looked straight and greased the u joints. What a difference that made! They charged me nothing.. I initially called AZ Driveshaft and they wanted $125 to look at it, and couldn’t take me in until next week. Overall, I’d take my truck here any day for a repair or honest second opinion.

Great folks to deal with and far more reasonable than a shop near me on the East side. They were extremely quick and very willing to help with a minor issue that turned out to be no biggie. Had my 2014 Ram 2500 swapped from 3.42 to 4.10. Dave is very fair and Jose did a great job. They will get any differential work from me going forward and I would recommend them to friends.

Reasonable price for the labor involved. Owner or manager seemed straight forward honest.As Disabled Vet. I feel i was treated fairly. I didnt even mention it to them.When I look at it like they only did my seals. Price seems high. When the mechanic I used to be looks at it. I know they had to pull my drive shaft and axles to get those seals in and out. So I know they did hard work.

I was recommended this shop from my diesel shop. David and Jose are the best in the business. Dont even waste your time and money with other shops (especially dealerships). This is literally all they do and they are really good at it. They did 2 trucks back to back for me and I couldnt be happier. InstallIng gears is a real easy thing to screw up, even if your experienced. I did both truck for the price it would have cost me to do just one (got 4 other bids). Ill definitely be using them in the future for and of my differential/transfer case needs.

The repair seems fine but i can tell you 100% for sure they went through my vehicle extensively. All compartments are in disorder and im missing 2 valuables. I cant say for sure they took these things but i would bet 100 bucks says they did.

These guys are the best! We were traveling from Arkansas to California towing a travel trailer and when we got to Phoenix the truck started making a loud noise. We found this shop on the internet and took a chance. They got us right in, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in less than three hours. We highly recommend this business.

I called on 12/2 to setup an appointment to get 4.56 gears and a Detroit Truetrac locker installed. They said bring in on in the next morning and they will get it done within a couple of days. I arrived at about 7:30AM and they were promptly open at 8AM. We talked through what I wanted done and they explained everything. I called back at about 2PM to see if they thought it would be done the same day because they did have several jobs going all at the same time. It ended up being completed by 4PM. Cool bunch of guys work there and will definitely recommend to everyone.Thanks guys.

RUN DO NOT USE!! They broke the metal off my differential and told hours later my ring has a chipped tooth. When I picked it up and showed my mechanic in his professional opinion he believes-it was dropped at the shop the break looks fresh (see pic) if it happened while driving it would get scored employee lied about it- owner turned away-shame shame shame

For many months wed been having strange noises coming from the rear end of our E 150 van. I asked mechanics at a couple different shops to find the problem and fix it. I asked if it could be the differential, and they said it still had oil in it and that there was metal, but not that much. Originally I paid for axle saver bearings. Then months later I had the same shop check again, and they said that the axle savers that they installed were just a temporary fix. They didnt say that when I paid big bucks for them, but they did honor the 1 year warranty. Anyway, for some dumb reason, I had them try again. That time they put in new regular axles and separate wheel bearings. Guess what? Still not fixed. At his point, I had spent over two thousand dollars.I was committed to driving the van 5,000 miles, so I couldnt mess around any more. I ate the 2 grand and googled differentials Phoenix area and found two places whos names started out with AZ Differential. The first one I called was very friendly and hit me with an estimate of $2,000. Then I called Bubba at AZ Differential Specialists. I wish Id have known about him and Jose at first. The completely rebuilt my differential, using the still good axles I had recently bought. They also installed new wheel bearings again. Total Cost: under 1,000. Ive put 10,000 miles on the van since then, and its running as quiet and smooth as new. Did I mention, it has 296,000 miles?If youre looking for a neat, clean shop with convenient parking, this aint your place. But, if youre looking for courteous, thorough, fairly priced, honest and just plain good guys, you cant do better than AZ Differential Specialists.

If you need axle service, this is the place to go, hands down! I took a 82 K5 Blazer in to have both axles re geared. These guys did a fantastic job in record time and I couldnt be happier with the results. The professionals at AZ Differential Specialists definitely know their stuff and they obviously care about keeping their customers satisfied. I brought my wifes 1994 Ford E-150 to them from Payson, AZ because the mechanics in Payson seem to take advantage of the seniors in that mountain community. I know quite a bit about automotive mechanics and Im savvy enough to know when something is beyond my capabilities. The van runs much smoother and quieter now and it cost half as much as it would have cost had it been done in Payson. I will gladly recommend them to my friends, family, and acquaintances.

Had my 2012 GMC Duramax Denali towed in after a bearing blew up in the rear hub. This was caused by a botch repair job by a GM dealer mechanic! Was afraid the spindle was too damaged to repair and looking at a $3000 repair bill. David and his crew were very honest and instead of taking advantage of my fear, they were able to repair the spindle and save the hub. Awesome service and honest repair facilities are hard to find. Henry and David have been taking care of me for YEARS! Done several complete diffs for me and for numerous folks Ive sent - always fair pricing, always stand behind their work! This is a TERRIBLE business! The axle housing for the diff on our familys 04 Titan SPLIT, because they didnt sleeve it. This happened on January 22 and for three months, they lied, and they lied and they didnt answer the phone, and when they did, they lied some more. Never heard of a company that is so gutless they wont talk to you, and the few times they do they lie (OH, its been shipped......two days later, sorry it was shipped to UTAH by mistake but well reship it when UTAH returns it. Weeks later, oh sorry, it was shipped by mistake to Calif, but they are going to keep it. We dont know when well get one made for you. Absolutely this company ranks below the current politicians in DC. Save yourself time and hassle, buy your differential elsewhere.

They diagnosed it and prices were great. Anything I ever need always coming here without thinking twice.

Requested a simple, gear change in my front/rear differentials in a 2006 Silverado 2500HD, 3.73 to 4.56s, along with a 4.56 Eaton Posi installed in the rear, charged me just under $3000.00 for the entire job.Front desk guy was nice, and helpful. Told me he had the gears and ordered the posi. Drop truck off, get a phone call later that week notifying me the truck is done, but it makes a slight howling noise while decelerating, and was promised the noise would go away with a little drive time.Picked up the truck, drove it a few hundred miles, the noise ended up getting slightly worse. Over the phone we figured out the gears used were thick cut gears, with a 4.10 posi installed in the differential, not what I had initially asked, and completely against what Eaton recommended for the carrier/gear setup, I asked him right away to get that fixed.Brought the truck back and asked for the entire rear job to be re-done, front desk guy apologized, said he was trying to save me money with the US Gears/4.10 posi combo, said he would make it right.Brought the truck back, shop installed the right parts (I think, never saw receipts, never received an extra receipt for the additional service performed), drove away with no noise.Few things, this entire process took 2 weeks, I thought it was pretty shady they installed parts I did not request then tried to convince me the noise coming from the differential was normal, Im not sure why but it gives me little faith in their workmanship and worries me because this truck is still in the gear break in period and I would rather the shop not touch the truck again, however, I digress, its their warranty covering the parts, hopefully they made it right.Another side note, the rear differential cover was scratched to hell, with black grease covering both of my rear shocks, additionally, the front differential had gasket sealer smeared all over it, along with gasket sealer oozing from where they had sealed back up.They were nice enough to wipe down the shocks, I just now (Labor Day) got around to using a wire brush to scrape off all the gasket sealer from the differential.Overall, the front desk guy was nice, but misleading, which doesnt build trust. Its also just flat out unprofessional and shady to try and convince me the howling differential was normal. I did discuss how dirty they left the truck, they said theyd clean it however, barely the shocks were touched, took me little over 5 hours with a razor blade and a wire brush to scrub all the extra material they left behind off.One last notable mention, I have GPS on the truck. While the truck was in their possession, the GPS died so I got a call from my insurance company asking why it died (I get discounts on my insurance because of it), called AZ Differential, they had left the truck on, long enough to kill my brand new Odyssey Extreme AGM battery, and the secondary battery I had setup a few days prior, I was pretty unhappy about this, additionally, it also shows them literally mashing the gas pedal, racing around their shop area, then slamming on the brakes, Im assuming to get the differential howling to go away because they knew it was wrong. So not only did they short change my the first time around, they beat up my truck, left gasket cleaner and grease smeared on the differentials.Thats my review of AZ Differential on Grand. The guy I worked with at the front counter I believe he went by the name of Bubbuh.Still wonder if I actually go the 4.56 posi I asked for.........The mechanic who referred me apologized, said it was unlike AZ differential todo this, but it sounded like they tried to stuff junk parts in my truck and hope they all worked out.. in the end they didnt, made tons of noise, installed the wrong parts, and left my truck a mess for me to clean.Trucks done now. Rear differential leaks out of the cover, still scratched up. No noise, hopefully the right parts were installed. Less than 1000 miles on the job.I dont understand how a shop could be so shady and unprofessional.

Great crew. Fast diagnosis, resolution, and most importantly communication.I had a bit of an odd-ball case with my 1965 CJ-5. There was a lot of noise coming from my rear axle; it sounded like someone was repeatedly banging on my differential housing with a hammer as I went down the road. I drove the Jeep for a year like that since I was unable to get the passenger wheel hub off to pull the carrier and look.As it turns out, the previous owner swapped carriers when he lowered the gearing, and the journal for the side gears was larger than the previous carrier. A required bushing was omitted, so the differential end of the axle was just banging around in there with about 1/16 of an inch of play.Despite the ancient hardware and potential difficulty in sourcing parts, these guys found the necessary bushing and had it overnighted to the shop. They charged me for labor and the bushing kit, and did not try to force other repairs on me. I was back on the road the next day with a much quieter and smoother running CJ-5.Would definitely recommend to all of my friends and family. Just be sure you go to the shop on Grand Ave; there is a shop on Weldon with a similar name and non-similar reviews.

Late sunday night I discovered a diff oil leak under my rear end on my 96 chevy c3500. figured no problem, pinion seal. Got a further look at it this morning to find that the outer pinion bearing had begun to come apart and tore the seal open. My first call was AZ Differential Specialists, talked to Bubba and he gave me a price over the phone to install both inner/outer bearing, new crush washer, and pre-load the pilot support section for me. He was very knowledgable and the price was very fair, even said it could get done within a couple hours of me dropping off the pilot support. Job was done as promised, actually ended up charging me less then the over the phone quote. Bubba advised I should take a good look at my pilot support bearing and that it would be smart to change it out before i installed the pilot support back into the differential. Low and behold my pilot bearing was completely missing making it easy to determine where my rear end noise at lower speeds was coming from. re-installed pilot bearing, pilot support and had my truck back on the road by middle of the day on Monday. Awesome service, awesome classic car/truck eye-candy around the shop. I wouldnt go anywhere else for differential service! thanks guys!
