The business is not open during the hours listed. They are seeing customers by appointment. The catalog’s mid-tier gear can easily be found elsewhere at a better price. The catalog is geared high-end.

Drove all the way from NJ, awesome customer service! Guys had great recommendations and hooked me up with an amazing pair of Yamaha HS5 monitors to go with my scarlet solo. Extremely happy with my set up and great advice. They Even stayed open a few mins late until I arrived for pick up. Highly recommend and would order from again. Friendly and easy to understand. I came in to take a look at ukuleles and they clearly explained the difference in sizes, etc. I tried one and I liked it. They also tuned it for me and showed me how to use the tuner. I got the uke, a tuner, a gig bag and a book for a very reasonable price. They also have music lessons. Support your local businesses!

First experience with this store is during COVID-19. Was in need of new strings and picks yesterday so instead of ordering online I texted the number. They responded right away (literally seconds later) and had exactly what I wanted and and I was able to pick it up within 20 minutes. I got an email from Steve later thanking me for coming by. I’ll be ordering from here again and hope to visit the store post-pandemic!

Went in just to look around and the guy working was extremely helpful. The instruments are all very unique and interesting - also affordable! He explained what they were and where they were from, i ended up buying one and he gave me a discount because my friend mentioned it was my birthday. I will definitely be back in the future!

I recently came in to this establishment, to purchase a RCA to 1/4” Mono cable, the selection and prices was vary reasonable considering their aren’t many music shop in Philly anymore. This is definitely a solid music store for Music equipment and Music accessories, it’s a bit of a small store though but I definitely recommend checking them if your looking for any music equipment.

Purchased a guitar from them on Reverb. It showed up at my door quickly, but unfortunately was damaged. I reached out to them and sent some pics of the damage. They were very quick to respond, had me send it back and immediately sent another. This time it was packed well enough to stop a bullet! It showed up in perfect condition. Will definitely do business with them in the future and recommend them to anyone and everyone! They care enough to do right by their customers, you can’t ask any more than that. Great job guys!

This music store in a embarrassment. I’m a professional musician from the west coast and I was visiting Philadelphia for a few days when I decided to visit some local music store. The store was clean, well lit, and organized, but beyond that everything was horrible. The guitars were all out of tune and several of them the necks were bowed or counter-bowed. I told an employee that the truss rod needed to be adjusted on a guitar and he didn’t know what that was (a music store employee should know what that means. I couldn’t hear myself try any guitars because the employee who was supposed to working the cash register was singing too loud. I then asked for details about teaching and how their teaching employment worked: not only did he not know, but he could not give me the email or phone number of anyone who would. I’ve been in hundreds of music stores in my life and this was among the worst

One of my favorite music shops. As as synth player, its rare to find a small music store with a collection of synths to try out. Bridgeset has a decent collection of budget synths and is always expanding. The staff is always super friendly and the owners truly care about running a great local business. Theres no reason to go anywhere else if youre in Philly.

Great store. They always have all the strings, cables, power supplies, etc. you need. Dont expect any fenders or gibsons. Its really not a guitar shop as much as a word music store. They have an interesting array of acoustic-eclectic guitars and a lot of ukuleles. Nice selection of synths, percussion instruments, microphones and other odds and ends.Staff is always very friendly. Once they didnt have the headphones I wanted in stock, so they gave me the next model up for the same price. Very cool.

I had a pretty obvious intonation issue with a Kala concert uke I had purchased and the go to guy for ukulele lessons and set ups, Frankie DeRosa was extremely rude and patronizing when I stopped by the shop for help with this issue. As a full time professional bassist for over 40 years I could scarcely believe the bad attitude I was getting. I don’t expect a relatively inexpensive uke to play perfectly in tune up the neck but this wasn’t even close. He also had previously blown off an email I had sent him asking for lessons as I was new to the ukulele and wanted help to play Bach transcriptions. The only thing I can say is this store is a really good place for beginners and hobbyists but a waste of time for any serous or professional musicians.

So happy to have this gem of a music shop on South Street! I walked in and was immediately greeted by the friendly sales associates and then proceeded to browse the vast selection of instruments, including ukeleles, kazoos, and harmonicas, all of which I plan on getting to increase my repertoire of instruments! In fact, I was informed that Bridgeset also hosts meetings for the South Street Ukulele Club and will guide ukulele players of all levels in learning popular songs (ie: Beatles). On my way out, I signed their mailing list and assured them Id definitely stop back in to purchase my ukulele and some other supplementary instruments! These guys ROCK!
