Its not my usual 🛑 stop though I do find it a fascinating exploration to see 🙈 whats going on in pop culture. Funko pop, Manga, graphic novels, 👕 shirts, magnets, music 🎵 and other collectables. My kids were disappointed ☹️ with the DVD 📀 section. I didnt see 🙈 a Baby Yoda/Grogu! Amazing!Facemasks required to enter store. Hand 🧤 sanitizer available.

This is one of the best Entertainment stores Ive been to. Everytime I go I always find things I love. I even found some raritys such as honeymoon vinyl by lana del rey! And the staff are very nice and helpful! 10/10

I used to live here for grad school and I found this place. It is so fun and they have someone different types of comic books, manga, music, and merchandise. I came back for a work trip and the first place I knew I wanted to visit was a Newbury comic store!

Its a good store. Its not a store for me. There are interesting and quality items for those who enjoy all genres of comics and related items. Theyve been around a while.

Always the coolest place in the mall. You can buy great gifts. You can buy vinyl records like I did. And you can people watch. I picked up a Bruce Springsteen album, The Ghost of Tom Joad. Old stuff, nee stuff, way cool stuff.

They sell a decent amount of board games, card games, trading card storage and organizers.

Newbury Comics locations are very friendly, very clean but very overpriced. If you buy the items online or in another store you will more than likely be able to cut off between 10 to 30% off the price that you would pay in this store.

Amazing spot to pick up Manga at with some times great deals. Only down side is that it not as big selection you see at a major book store

We actually go to the Newbury Comic store at the NSSC weekly! Always something new. Last time there they were changing the entire store around, for better viewing by customers. I really liked the set up. However, trying to find a worker on the sales floor to help you is harder than winning megabucks! Sorry to say that. If you find one they are happy to help but on the whole they dont approach customers. Dont know why. Check it out and count how many clerks approach you. 🤔😞

Decent selection of cards (though a little pricey) and odds and ends for gifts and things. More clothes and less music and video selection than there used to be but still worth a walk through if youre in the mall.

A great selection of comic book items and table top RPG supplies. I was pleased with their supply of D&D miniatures and campaign books, even if they were at full price. I even had a great conversation with fellow gamers in the store and they all agreed it was a good little shop in the mall. The employees were very helpful and looked into getting more specific types of miniatures I needed, which was above and beyond what I expected. Keep up the good work!

When I was there during the height of Covid, there was a cook without a mask, and a waitress running her hands through her hair and then continuing to touch food. I brought it to the managers attention. I have never eaten there again.

Have to stop here every time I visit the mall. Such a fun store. Staff are a little indifferent to your existence though.

We always enjoy buying magnets or small tokens of sorts wherever we travel. So, it was really nice to find this Newbury Comics with cute magnets that are cute, funny, witty and most importantly, location specific! We were able to buy a nice Boston magnet to add to our collection. The store was nicely organized and the staff was very friendly! Really enjoyed the shopping experience here! Newbury comics always has the coolest stuff. Employees are usually always very nice and quick to ask if you need any assistance.

Walked into Newbury comics (with our masks on) to purchase a few items and my girlfriend was rudely approached by the manager Christine who blatantly disrespected her by damanding her to don her mask that she took off for no longer than 10 seconds due to asthma. My girlfriend immediately placed the mask back on her face but for some odd reason Christine was continually verbally abusing her. We were then told to leave the store so we placed our items back and walked out. I usually dont write reviews but i feel like other consumers should be aware of the manager Christine. Not sure if Newbury comics were desperate for a temporary manager or the training was just not there but I have never been so disrespected in my life. Will not be going back and I hope other consumers wont have to go through what we just went through with Christine.

This is place pretty cool. My friend showed me and I loved there deals in the book section. Came out with three books for 20 bucks. Not bad!

Such a great store but not like it used to be. When they were located on rt 114 the store was much better and had a great selection of records, CDs, and great gifts. The store still has cool stuff but not as good.

One of the only places to buy records, but their prices are extremely high. You can buy almost every record for much cheaper online. The store is nice though, and does supply some unique items.

Great but expensive...

Newbury comics has been a New England staple for awesome stuff for as long as i can remember. They continue to keep up with the times in new age memorabilia as well as the old school classic stuff from when I was a kid. Theres something for everyone in this place. Comics, music, pop art, games, stuff for grandma and stuff that will really offend grandma. I find myself in here like once a month if not more.

This store was the pinnacle of comics and media but those products have fallen by the wayside to encourage alternative fashion. Which would be ok if the price point wasn’t so high.The clothes are pricey, it is what it is. But items like comics and collectibles are usually the same price as anywhere else, however there is just fewer of those items and seems to get less and less as time goes by.Maybe popularity is going down and the store is changing with the times but for us who want movies, comics, or whatever else are having to go elsewhere.

Come here to get your fill of trinkets, doo - dads, comics, DVDs, and hipsters. Oh, and hipsters.

Love this store!! Some people might find some of the stuff off color, but if you have a sense humor, you have to take a look. Lots of other stuff too!! Kids go in all the time!!

Didnt have what I was looking for but no problems

Pretty bland store. Rarely ever has something new. The staff is also pretty boring. Nothing exciting in this store to reel you in besides the comics. Pornstache is there 24/7 watching you, making you feel uncomfortable as if you were a criminal. The store overall is cool to look at but nothing worth buying or visiting again for another several months.

I was very disappointed to see that the dvd selection has dwindled considerably, as this used to be my go-to spot for quality used titles. Personally, I feel that they lost their cool when they moved from their old location on Rt. 114 to the upscale North Shore Mall a few years ago.

I love this place to get all my geeky accessories!! Theres a wall of socks and I love all of them, I own three pairs of them (so far!)

The location is convient. It is in a mall, with a really good food court an lots of free parking. There is no parking close to the store, but the mall isnt huge so you can park anywhere and quickly walk there.The store is clean and organized, and has a lot of things from popular television shows (Bobs burgers, Game of Thrones etc.). May be hard to find super unique pieces but still a fun store to go to.

Tired of grumpy know it all Comicbook store workers? Then look no further the staff here is excellent and as a result my subscription is now here. They treat me l Ill keep a VIP. Comics are also in excellent condition upon pickup.

Theh have a large amount of organized comics and a decently sized pokemon collection among other trading cards but unfortunately they do not sell single magic the gathering cards.

Still a cute little place to go if youre picking up things for a nerdy friend or a trendy buddy. They have fun sweaters around Christmas time, coffee cups with funny sayings on them really fantastic stocking stuffers. A nice T-shirt selection, they also have board games and vinyl records I even saw ukulele the last time I was there haha. Its definitely a fun little shop.

Best location Ive been to - huge and wide selection of CDs, both used and new (still, in this day and age!) - DVDs, books, toys, and actually has comic books! I can always find the perfect gift for my more fun friends here.

Manager Darren is terribly judge mental and rude. My son had his first filling and requested a special toy that I knew theyd have there. Being a single mom I had to also bring my two year old along. When we walked in my son found the table with what he wanted out front and my younger one started looking around, me following him the whole time. There was a stack of red solo cups stacked up in almost a pyramid. He grabbed one and a few fell. I immediately began to apologize and pick up the cups when Darren told me not to bother its already ruined anyways! He proceeded to tell me that I should get my kids and leave the store. I told him I was shopping quickly and explained again I was sorry and that hes just a baby and it was an accident. He called over a few more employees and they all made a specticle and glanced stares in my direction. I told my son to get what he wanted to se could pay and leave. He put his cup down on the table to pick up the toy and hand it to me because I wouldnt even consider putting my small child down again. As soon as his cup touched the table Darren yelled over you need to take your drink off there those are very expensive tables. I am mad I even gave them my business. If my son wasnt so proud of himself and excited for this I would have reacted differently. As I left the store he stood by the entrance and stared me down. I felt very uncomfortable and targeted from the second I walked through the door. I will never give them ANY business ever again!!
