Billy is the best. I brought my 97 BMW F650 Funduro to him in August 2021. It was having some issues idling & driving and I was just ready to ride that thing. He got it up and going in under 2 weeks during the HEIGHT of riding season - incredible. The bike runs perfectly, Billy communicated every step of the way, and the price was extremely reasonable. Highly recommend Black Grease as a shop that is open to EVERYONE, especially women riders & LGBTQ people…I was always treated with kindness & respect. Thanks Billy!

This was by far the best service experience Ive ever had. Great people who know what they are doing and are not overcharging. The also came and picked up my Stella from MA. Now I moved out of the area and I wish I could find someone with similar integrity!

My Dad gave me his old bike and it had been sitting for a few years and needed some work. This is my first bike so I was expecting a real tough guy as a motorcycle mechanic. That wasn’t my experience at all. Billy is extremely down to earth and kind. He kept me posted on his progress, and promptly returned my texts. I had a couple of friends refer me to him, and he is definitely a great choice!

The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They have a lot of knowledge to share and the prices are good. Turnaround is relatively quick considering its a two or three person operation.

Not really impressed. The price was decent for the amount of work they did, however their customer service is appalling. They never answer the phone, nor do they return calls. They are very big on sending emails, but were extremely rude to me whenever I asked a simple question. I work for a major University in the area, and deal with hundreds of maintenance vendors a year. I have never received such poor customer service in my life.STRONGLY recommend you go somewhere else. Its nice trying to support mom and pop shops, but not this one.

Where do we start, we thought that this shop would be a good place to drop off our older motorcycle for a few repairs and a safety check to make sure the bike was running correctly and safely. We Dropped it off on a Sunday and the owner seemed very familar with the bike he even said that he owned the small 750 version of our bike. He told us that he was very busy and wouldnt be able to get a good look at it until Wednesday. We thought that was ok since he specialized in older bikes and we just wanted the bike to be safe. Well when we called on Friday to get a status check on the bike, there was no answer on the phone. There was actually no phone communication at all over the phone. He only answered me by email. Well the small jobs and the amount of work that he did took just under 4 weeks to complete. the ower was attitude was below par and he actually was very condisending. It was nice that we were given a itemized list of what he did. We found it very expensive for the little work that he did and the time he tied up the bike. We contacted a few diffrent motorcycle repair shops and they quoted us way under what we paid. But all of this is not what angers us the most about girl and a guy Cycles. His repairs posed a safety factor. The bracket that holds the front brake wire was digging into the front tire shredding it. The tire place we brought it to told us if we did not catch that when we did, the tire could have completly shredded the tire and it would have shreeded apart and possibly killing the riders. but he fixed the breaks are safe so I guess he thought that not checking the bracket he put on was ok. Every repair that he did we have had to refix. He told us our speed cable was fine that we would have to replace the whole speedometer unit. So we found on, which took about a month to find since we have a 1970s bike. When we replaced that today it was the cable that was bad. it was completely split in half. We paid $100 for a new speedometer when it should have only been $20 for the cable. We had him fix the blinkers the flasher unit had to be replaced but the flasher switch needed a good cleaning too, he didnt do that. the blinkers stopped working after the 2nd time riding. He rewired the fuse box it needed to be done, but maybe he should have make sure that the rear running light was working(it was when we dropped it off). We had to have a new wire run for that to work. He was paid to fix the breaks which he did new pads and such, but the front break fluid resivoir was not filled or put back on correctly (not tight at all). We had break fluid leaking all over and had to have that refixed. If we would have lost that fluid we wouldnt be able to stop. Yet another safety problem he caused. He also had to fix the front brake and calliper(sp?) and after a few rides it started squeeking again and the bike is going to another repair shop to fix that again. We asked him not to touch the carbs since we had someone already do that for us. Well acording to the list he gave us he did and now our bike leaks gas. We had the bike diagnosed by a carb specailist and he believes that it was caused by repair work from girl and a guy cylce. One of the floaters may be stuck and not closing properly and leaking gas all over our garage(it was not leaking when we dropped it off) So now that is going to get repaired along with the calliper this week. We have dumped alot of money onto this motorcycle and to girl and a guy cycles for no actual repair just a whole lot of rerepair, ageravaiton, frustration and totally not satisifed. The $570 of the parts and labor he preformed cost me an additionaly $482 and more once these new fixes of his repairs are done this week it will problably be a couple hundred or so more. I will never recomend or go to this HACK SHOP ever again! Motorcyle owners be aware dont go to this shop, it could cost you more or cost you your safety.
