I called this morning and asked for a quote and if they could get my car fixed today when and if i dropped it off. they said yes it possiblyand i got it dropped by noon. they didn’t even let me know it had arrived or anything or when they started my service. i arrived 30 minutes early than when they said my service would be done after they called to give me an update . they kept insisting i get a diagnosis ran by them but i refused and stuck to getting what was wrong with my car fixed. they made a huge deal about that and it felt very rude. my card declined when i went to pay so i called my bank and just went to get cash since my card wasn’t working. when i paid the guy at the front desk questioned me on why my award wasn’t working, which i don’t see why that was his business because nonetheless i paid. as for my car everything is working well so far . if anything is not i will update this review. it is now 5:48 and i left with my car around 5:25

Steve and Tony take good care of your vehicle at a reasonable price. No surprises, either. They make sure you understand what they are doing and how much it will cost. They are busy for a reason but certainly worth waiting your turn.

I recently purchase a used Jeep and I knew it needed some work but wasnt exactly sure what all it needed. Steve and Tony were very thorough and explained what all needed to be done right away, what could probably wait and what to just keep an eye on. Let’s be honest, anyone who has an issue with their car, whether a basic oil change or a check engine light, wants be receive an HONEST EVALUATION at an affordable price. My story is short and quick but a valuable one to those looking for what I found today. I went to the Ford dealership for my 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid after a scheduled appointment, asked about prices to service a check engine light ($70 to just have it read and $140/hr for labor) and left after respectfully canceling my appointment. I fortunately found Emerald Coast Auto Repair a few minutes later and asked if they could take a look. I talked with Steve and his only request was I drop my car off and he’d run a diagnostics and call me with any issues. Long story short, the lead tech Tony explained to me what was wrong. Folks, I just moved here from Denver this past week and I will not only recommend them to my company (Amazon) and peers that THIS IS AN HONEST BUSINESS (did I mention SIGNIFICANTLY MORE AFFORDABLE THAN THE DEALERSHIP?!) but also we will never go anywhere else as long as we live here in Panama City. Both Steve and Tony made me feel welcomed from the moment I brought my car to their shop. If your car AC is not working properly and live in Bay County, Florida or surrounding areas, you have to take your car to these folks. Because they are very professional, honest and very reasonable price. Trust me, they are the best in the area. I wish knew this before!!!

Be careful set up a appointment with Steve a week ahead he told me to drop the truck off the following Thursday took the truck up there Wednesday night with the keys in the ignition so he could perform the work noon went by never heard anything back from him so I called up there around three to see what was up with it he tried to act like he didn’t know who I was then playing childish games saying oh my truck never got worked on because the keys was left in the ignition instead of the drop box that’s bs if u didn’t have time to work on the truck just say so be a man about this place is a joke I’m going to a nationwide warranty shop for repairs from now on get broke down over the road or something this company can’t do u any good🗣💯

The owner, Steve, has a lot of knowledge and integrity. Cant see that about every auto repair company. If he cant fix it, hell tell you. And he wont charge you for the diagnostic work (at least, he didnt for the problem I had). He doesnt charge you until you, the customer, are sure its fixed. Plus, his prices are reasonable..I trust Steve and his staff. Im a woman, and I could not/would not say that for a dealership service center, or any of the other auto repair places. I would highly recommend!

I have been getting my vehicle serviced at this location for several years. The owner is always there to help with a smile. He will get my vehicle back to me as quick as he can, Ive never had to leave it for an extended length of time. The best thing I can say is he is trustworthy. I was visiting my daughter in Panama City when my car quit working. I was told that I needed a battery and a new alternator. I went to Emerald Coast and told Steve my problem. I had purchased a new battery down the street. He checked my car and said it was fine, the new battery did the trick. I will tell you I was shocked. My last experience in Panama City was totally different. I got took for a transmission from another mechanic., that I did not need. It was found to be a $36.00 part when I returned to Tampa Bay.I plan on moving to the area early next year, I will tell you, I will only deal with Emerald Coast. Ive followed Steve around for many years because hes a fair and quality guy. These folks arent necessarily cheap, but they are excellent. They always give you the straight scoop and can be trusted at their word, a rare commodity in auto care these days. For example, I was told by the mechanic at the manufacturer of my vehicle that I needed a new AC compressor... Were talking lots of money. I took it to Emerald Coast Auto and, an hour and around $30 later, they identified and replaced a bad resistor. Problem solved. About a year and a half later, the same resistor went out. Steve replaced it for free. You just cant beat this kind of quality service. They will ALWAYS get my business.

We took our daughter to panama city beach Florida for spring break.. her car broke down... we were 1400+ miles from home and needed to leave that day... Can not say enough good things about Steve and his guys. Ive used Emerald Coast Auto for years and have always been happy. Steve is an honest guy and he put his customers way before his bottom line. I recently had a job performed on one of my vehicles that ended up requiring far more work than was anticipated. Ill make a very long story short by saying that despite all of the extra labor and parts that it took to solve the issue (which I am 100% convinced was not the fault of the work they performed) Steve stuck with the originally quoted price. I know he took a big hit on that job but like I said he puts the customer before the dollar. I dont know what other mechanics in town wouldve treated me that well and I dont plan to ever find out. Emerald Coast Auto has a customer for life here.
