Ok for repairs I guess. Went there to try an adult size ebike(large or medium), they had maybe one under $2,000. I was told they werent getting more in for a month. Best they could do was raise the seat on a small bike if I wanted to try that. I was kinda hoping that one of the highest rated bike shops in the valley would have a larger inventory, especially at this time of year.

Clay and the Triabike team are so friendly and knowledgeable! We visited Palm Desert on vacation and had a few bike issues that would have prevented me from biking for the rest of the trip. Other shops in the area were not willing to take a look at my bike on short novice. Clay took my bike in and solved ALL of my problems (brakes, shifting, wheel out of true) so quickly that I was able to get back on the trail. He also came out to my car and gave me advice about my bike rack, which has been giving me problems. I highly recommend this shop!

Cannondale road bike rental was in great shape at a fair price (especially after a week when its only $10/day).Be prepared for flat tires around Coachella Valley. Apparently theyre very common (I had 4 in ~150 miles). The rentals have repair kits; make sure you have everything you need before you leave the shop. (My kit was missing the CO2 inflator, which I didnt realize until too late.)

My first visit and they earned a new customer. Brought in a wheel to replace a tube. They were very helpful and fixed it while I waited. They replaced the tube and the rim liner that caused the flat. I thought I had over inflated the tube. It was a sharp edge from a spoke that penetrated the original liner.

I recently traveled to Palm Desert for the IM 70.3 from the east coast. My bike was damaged in transport, so I urgently needed a part in order to race. I contact Triabike in a panic, and Clay quickly ordered the part and replaced it in a timely manner, providing updates and reassurance along the way. The service was top notch, and I would highly recommend them.

Tried to get my tires changed here. I bought all the parts, tires, liners tubes. They said I could drop it off in the AM and pick it up by close of business same day. That is until I showed up this morning with everything. The owner/mechanic then told me hed need it for at least a week because bikes with hub motors take more time.....Bait and Switch or his own ignorance....Either way not appreciated and I wont be frequenting this establishment again....Saw the owners reply. He is apparently calling me a liar. I called the day before spoke to an employee who relayed everything I said to someone else in the background I was specific I told them the model Ebike I had, I told them I had a Flat rear tire and needed both front and rear tires replaced. I told them I had the Tires< Tube, and Liners. They said bring it in the morning and you can have it back that evening.Interestingly I contacted a Mobile Bike Mechanic, Hes very Busy, I can see why based on his competition.. He kept the bike for 3 days and did both tires and adjusted the brakes for me brought it back in 3 days.Ans it rises nice on the new rubber....

I havent visited T.A.B for years because as other reviewers stated they were arrogant and aloof. However, today is Sunday and other shops were closed and I needed a quick fix or answer. Manny was very helpful in diagnosing the problem, lubricating the part, and offering knowledgeable suggestions if that didnt fix the problem. About an hour later the sticky part broke free which will save me at least $300, for now. I give them four stars because this is a big improvement on my history with them.

I have been to a lot of bike shops in my many years of shopping - and none have been as consistently helpful or friendly as Tri-A-Bike on San Pablo Avenue in Palm Desert. From fixing flat tires, to trading in an old bike I no longer ride to offering me a good value on a new bike, I am always impressed by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. Raul is my go-to guy here, but everyone is equally helpful when Raul is not around. Pricing is fair, service is prompt, advice is solid and they never oversell! In my recent search for a bike, I stopped by a few bigger stores. I definitely didnt get the same positive vibes from them - maybe because I was not looking for a super high-end bike. My experience is that at Tri-A-Bike, the friendly and helpful service is the same whether you are looking at a $300 bike or a $3,000 bike. So, if you are in the Palm Springs Palm Desert looking for bikes to rent, own or repair, this is the place to go!

While the prices are great compared to other shops around, their professionalism and service isn’t. I was told I could have my bike delivered close to 10, and it was delivered until noon. When you’re there on a short trip trying to get rides in, it’s very frustrating when you want to get out on the road. Then, the bike was delivered with no water bottle cages, and flat tires. Luckily i checked them before the guy who delivered it left so he was able to let me use a pump. They offered no solution but for me to come pick up the cages and wouldn’t bring any to me. I was waived the delivery fee but it still isn’t worth it.You can get a bike for a cheaper price, but you also get cheap service with it.

If I could give Tri-A-Bike (TAB) 10 stars I would. My wife and I were looking for options to get back into recreational cycling – acknowledging that we were both no longer 30 years old and now dealing with some nagging physical limitations. We visited some other local bike shops. All good, knowledgeable and professional people . . . however just a little intimidating for two recreational riders. We just happened to wander into TAB and met Raul. Knowledgeable, professional, experienced . . . but also very friendly, patient, understanding and low key in helping us explore our options. We test rode a few recumbent trike options.BAM! What fun. What a pleasure to ride. No pain, no discomfort. Just fun! Raul mentioned the big smiles he saw on our faces when we returned to the shop after our test rides. Done deal. A Catrike Expedition for me and a Catrike Villager for my wife . . . and both of them electrified! Such fun.Raul is the best. His genuineness has built what we hope to be a long-term customer relationship with us. Rick and Raul were both great in assembling our trikes and getting both of us comfortably fitted to our trikes. Raul went above and beyond in scheduling a time for a final fitting and a full trike walk through. Everyone at TAB was a pleasure to deal with.HIGHLY recommend Tri-A-Bike and their knowledgeable, approachable and very friendly staff.

Ordered a bike, came back into town and finally got a chance to ride it and after 4 miles the pedal came off. I ended up with some really large bruises from this accident. They put the bike together and didnt tighten the pedals, the other one unscrewed by hand. We went back in and they were not very concerned with my injury but we left it to be temporarily fixed while they ordered the part. When we came back to pick it up they had taken the needed part off another bike so mine was perfectly fixed, which was great. I also had a flat to be fixed and had wished the associate had been empowered to fix it at no charge considering our problem. He did discount the tube though. Happy my bike was fixed but disappointed with the customer service.

I needed the front hydraulic brake bled after my bike had been in storage for a long time. These people, who had my bike in the store, quoted me 45.00! Whoa!I took my bike to Joels Bike shop where it took them about 6 minutes to fill and bleed and my front brake and I was charged 15.00. I called Tri-a-Bike and spoke with a Victor and asked him what is it they do that is so special they charge 45.00 for a 5-10 minute job. He said Did you just call to hassle us? Are these arrogant, rip off artists or what? I certainly think so. Ive since found out, there are many good bike shops around and I certainly dont consider these people to be among that group. Personally, I would never set foot in their store again. NOTE: He never did tell me why they charge so much. Hmm?

Friendly customer service, good prices, & very professional. They did a great job fixing my flat tire, I only had to wait about 5 minutes, and when I decided to buy a light, the went over the different lights with me, and I got a fantastic one for only $25. They installed it for me and this is the brightest light I have ever seen in my life. You can see everything and its very powerful. When my friend went to get her gears fixed, they didnt bs her about getting a tune-up, this and that and all this other bull like at Funseekers; they simply gave her a price, a time to pick up the bike, and a receipt. It was ready the same day and they installed new grips on the handle bar for free since the old ones were sticky. Im very pleased and Im definitely coming here again.

Just went to Tri-A-Bike to adjust a low handle bar that was causing me wrist problems while riding. Raul quickly asked if he could help me, then spent time exploring solutions with me. Very UnprofessionalI understand this shop has new owners. I truly hope they get their staff issues sorted out...and soon! What should have been a very simple fix on my bike turned out to be a major hassle and inconvenience.I had to make 3 trips down to the store for them to keep replacing the tube. Apparently its too difficult to check the tire for a possible reason for the tube to keep going flat hours after I pick the bike up. ( 3 times )!!!Not only did they not fix it correctly the first time, they charged me for the tubes they kept replacing...because they didnt do it right the first time. Wow, this shop has a lot to learn about business and customer service. Its never a good sign when the customer shows the staff what to look for if the tube keeps going flat.Save yourself the grief and frustration and take your business elsewhere.

I want to start by saying if I could give 0 stars I would. My friend and I decided to rent bikes for the Coachella Music Festival this past weekend. Within 5 minutes of riding the bike, the rear derailleur literally FELL OFF. I am from Boulder, CO and am an avid road cyclist and triathlete, so I knew something was not right. We called the shop immediately, and they sent out someone to switch the bike for us (which cost $50, just to drive it to us). Then, upon returning the bikes, they made us pay for the bike to fix it, and replace all of the parts. When I started to ask questions, they immediately cut me off like I had no idea what I was talking about. I told them I knew bikes very well, and nothing I did could have done this. Yet again, they interrupted me and said I must have fallen and bent the derailleur I tried to explain to them that I never laid the bike down or fell, and I started riding it right after leaving the shop. But they wouldnt hear it.One other thing was the guy that picked us up said that multiple other people needed to be picked up because of this issue and this is the weekend they make all of their moneyOverall, this bike shop took advantage of my friend and me. They clearly believed we didnt know bikes at all, and just wanted our money. They were incredibly pretentious, rude, and unhelpful. I would never recommend this place!! I really regret trying to be green and renting a bike instead of buying the $60 shuttle pass (which was cheaper).DO NOT GO HERE OR RENT BIKES FOR COACHELLA FROM THIS PLACE!

I have been to this shop a couple of different times. I happen to like Schwinn bicycles, and they are a Schwinn distributor. First time, I was looking for a particular Schwinn model, and wanted to take a look at the bike first hand, and possibly buy. I waited, and waited, and wandered looking at other bikes, and waited and waited. No one seemed interested in acknowledging me, let alone greeting me.Finally, someone noticed me, said they didnt have that bike in stock, (they had NO Schwinns in stock) spent 15 minutes looking up the Schwinn distributor catalog, couldnt find my model, and finally wound up steering me towards a diffent bike. I breifly tested the bike, didint like it at all, brought it back in the store, and waited and waited again. Finally, I just left the bike in the store and walked out.More recently, I was looking for a tire repair kit, and because they are close, and foolishly stopped by to quickly pick up a repair kit. Same story. Employees bsing with other customers (preferred ones, evidently) Waited for 10 minutes, couldnt find a repair kit in the display area and left again. Evidently, business is so good they dont need to bother with walkins. I wont be walking in again anytime soon.

After researching road bikes on-line for two years I decided on the style, geometry, group, and price point I was comfortable with. In knowing that I may have to travel outside of the desert to make this purchase I looked up dealers for both BH and Giant in Ontario CA, a much larger city than Palm Desert, and not too far away. Before making the trip, I found two dealers a short drive from one another, and I contacted them to make sure the bikes I was interested in were available. I then discovered that Tri-A- Bike was a Giant Dealer and thought, I could support a LBS and the community and buy local. I called Tri-A-Bike to see if this $1975.00, 2013, Giant rig was in stock and, was told that it was not. I asked if they could order it and was told that they would not inventory such a high end bike because they may have to hold on to it for to long. I was very surprised and thought that a new 2013 carbon frame bikes
