Palm Coast auto repair has always been a positive experience for us. We left the Ford dealership years ago for this very reason. Whenever we took our Explore for service there, it always got it back with additional issues we didnt have before wee turned it in. Palm Coast Repair has a friendly staff always willing to go out of their way. The mechanics must be top notch because they always fix what is wrong, and return our Explore without any additional issues. As a retired senior on a fixed income we are also happy ow much cheaper they are than the dealership. PC Auto Repair is AAA+++

After going to Tuffys and getting quoted $1,600 to replace my ac compressor I brought it to Palm Coast Auto from the great reviews on line. David took my car I went home and within an hour I got a call to come and get the car the ac was working! They put a dye in the Freon to see where the leak was and had to bring it back in a week. I asked how much and they said $81 dollars! It’s so refreshing to have honest professional mechanics Technicians you can bring your car to and not get ripped off! Brought it back in a week and no and no leak could be detected, I asked how much and they said no charge! I sent them some pizzas for lunch! Thanks David and Dad!

Highly disappointed!! I had my car towed in for service and was told needed a new battery. They put in a new battery and fixed an oil leak, yet it kept dying and was still leaking oil, so again I took it back in they said they fixed the problem. After having my car for only one day it dyed on me again on interstate 95 leaving me stranded, had to have it towed again. When I called and told them you didn’t fix my car it just dyed on me on the interstate, was told we close in 15 minutes. This time I went somewhere else. This placed has cost me a lot of money for nothing.

Dishonest CROOKS. STAY AWAY!UPDATED: The problem arose when I brought in the part YOU had told me was defective and I asked you to show me what was defective about it. The owner pretty much said “it just is” and that he could not help me and told me to eff off. The shop could not back up what they had stated in the first place, verbally nor in writer proof. No schematics, no proof of what the shop had found “wrong.” Even after looking at my part all the owner could say was “I don’t know it’s just bad.” A knowledgeable and honest person would explain the issue. Everything escalated when the OWNER STARTED CURSING AT ME AND TOLD ME TO EFF OUT THE STORE. I have video proof. It is MY VEHICLE there for it is my property and I have every right to know what the issue is. As stated above I would strongly stay away from this place!

Great place, great workers

A few months back I had taken my van to a repair shop off 100 in Bunnell and was told the problem (my check engine light was on) was transmission and catalytic convertor and I was in a panic, how could this be possible when my van never had issues. One of my friends told me about this shop and I took it for a 2nd opinion, I told them what the other shop had told me. They said they would check it out, van was done and I left within an hour or so, no charge, it was my gas cap was not put on properly after I put gas one time. Then when I had an issue with my other car, it was out of transmission fluid and I kept putting distilled water to make it to the oil change place for them to add fluid, car would not go that far and water was gone and it would overheat and so my AAA service told me that maybe there is a leak, (I had recently bought this car from a family member and the battery ended up dying while it sat in driveway) so, I knew I was going to this shop, had car towed, they called to say battery under warranty still (I had them change anyway instead of tracking down who had it changed and from where) also they filled with transmission fluid, said no leaks or anything, it was fine and no charge for that. So, moral of the story, they could have ripped me off a few times but they are way to honest for that. They now have another customer for life and I will recommend to everyone I know, they definitely went above and beyond.

We used this auto repair shop because of reviews we read and were likewise very pleased. The staff was courteous and timely, the shop guys took the time to go over what they would do to identify the problem and what the steps that would follow. I am usually the mechanic for all our family vehicles so I would know if I was getting a line of BS but they were spot on and didnt try to add anything that wasnt necessary. We set an appointment, they gave a timeline for completion and they were spot always right on time. They took extra steps to insure they kept the inside of the car clean. We will recommend to others and if will use them again.

Used sub-standard replacement oil filter. Filter elements collapsed after two weeks, causing substantial damage to vehicle. All this AFTER being assured that the replacement filter would be 100% OEM. When I call to explain what had happened, Ken, the manager took no responsibility and said you can do whatever you want ...so Im posting this. Be ware, this is not a trustworthy business.

I would leave no stars if I could. After pay 760 to get tires on, a new powering steering pump. I get my car back and he did not screw the water hose back up correctly so all my antifreeze was leaked out so my engine nearly blew up on my way home, and he broke the a/c compressor and returned it. Before I dropped it off my a/c was the best in any car I’ve ever had now it’s completely broken and I have a 1 year old child. So 760 dollars later I now have a broke a/c let alone he had my car for over a week because he kept saying he couldn’t get the power steering pump. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT RIPPED OFF.

My family was driving home from vacation when the transmission seemed to be having trouble getting into the correct gear. I called AAA for the closest recommended auto repair and PCAR came up. I relayed the issues to the person at the front desk who got the head guy to look at the car within 15 minutes. 10 minutes later the lead guy goes over the issue (bad plugs and coils) and while it wasnt going to be cheap it was reasonable. 1 hour later the car is ready to go. Only 1 hour and 30 minutes total at the store. What a relief when we had such a long drive ahead of us. The time at the store wasnt bad either as my kids were given cookies and played with the friendly cat. Obviously I hope Im not in a situation where I need their services again, but for anyone locally I would highly recommend! Covid aware as well. Bring your mask!

My a/c was fixed, but aside from that, I wasnt impressed. I called to set up appointment to get my tire pressure sensors replaced, told them I had purchased them, they said bring it in, I also added that I had a leak in a/c and needed oil change. When hubby dropped off, he informed them we needed oil change, tps and a/c... got a call saying they could fix a/c (yay! Bc is hot out), but they couldnt replace tps as they couldnt Program them. I wish Id known so I couldve found someone who could and able to do whole car at once. And they forgot about my oil change. 4 hrs past appt time and car wasnt ready ( a/c was fixed within an hr of them calling me to tell me part needed) and over 2 hrs after that, it hadnt had oil change. Just not impressed :( maybe it was just a busy day. They were all kind though, so thats a plus.

I would give 10 stars if I could . I took my car to Palm Coast / Flagler Chrysler Dealer for a routine oil change and tire rotation. I also asked that they checked the ATS light that was on since the new battery was installed in August. I was told to be there at 7:30 for they do not take appointments. By 8:45, car was not done, so I asked and was told mechanics dont come in till 0800. By 0915, still no car, but I watched complete chaos at the desk. Couldnt find my papers etc. At checkout I was told I needed a new ABS sensor, that the car was unsafe to drive and the cost would be over $800.00! That wasnt even the sensor that was illuminated.I went home and called Palm Coast Auto repair and was given a 2:00 pm appointment the same day! They took my car right in and within 30 minutes, they turned off the ATS light, something about a yaw sensor and there would be no charge as it was diagnostic. The service at Palm Coast auto repair was professional and organized. A family owned business who is obviously honest and takes pride in their work. I highly suggest you go to them, for that is who I will use from now on.

My husband and I highly recommend Palm Coast Auto Repair for any service. Our 2007 Kia had to be towed to their shop after an ABS pump failed and 2 of the wheels locked. There were no aftermarket parts and no OEM replacement at any Kia dealerships in the USA so it would have taken up to several months to be shipped from Korea and been very expensive. Ken and Dave treated us like family and never gave up. They found a replacement part after several weeks and got everything working again. This shop was incredible! I broke down on my way from Orlando to Savannah only a few miles away from their shop. Although a local shop, they were very professional and courteous and gave me upfront pricing before even ordering the parts for the repair. This was an awesome experience that I wouldnt have had if I went to any other shop in the area. I would highly recommend using them if you are local or just passing through.

These guys are absolutely fantastic. I brought my Dodge Nitro in for a new alternator and brakes. They did it all quickly and reasonably priced. They were kind, courteous and a pleasure to do business with. Id highly recommend them to anyone. I know where Im going next time I need service on my vehicle.

Crooks. Lies, nothing but lies. Never have I been charged $42 to change a brake light bulb. This place didnt give me an estimate nor did they have my consent. No wonder they are not as busy as Eagle Car Repair just a few blocks away. I tried someplace new and got burned. People I got burned and I am telling you about it so you wont have to get burned. They even had the audacity to tell me the bulb was a special bulb for my car. A bulb I bought from AutoZone that I had sitting in the side compartment of my door. I cant say they didnt use my own bulb and charge me. If they are this dishonest and inconsiderate with a bulb I would hate to see how nasty they are for a real repair.Now I will give them credit for the fact that for some reason I changed the bulb several times and it wouldnt work. However $42? I provide legal services and never have I charged anyone such an erroneous fee for such simple work. This place will never get a client, recommendation or one cent from me ever again. Needless to say most of their friends must have given them reviews. I do not believe they are real clients. If I could have given them no stars that would have been more accurate. I didnt have to pay but I paid for peace.

I stopped into this place because of the great ratings and boy was I beyond disappointed. I show up to talk about having some airbags installed in the rear of my town and country along with a transmission cooler because I tow a lot. They said sure thing no problem, and made an appointment the following week. I mentioned I was purchasing the airbags from my supplier and they said they would get the fan for the cooler. Great!I show up Wednesday and drop the car off. I mentioned how it also seemed to be starting weird and if they can check that out too. I also warned them my wife is pregnant and due any day so I wanted to be without my car as minimal as possible. All was stated pretty clearly.8 hours go by and I have not heard a peep. I had to call before they were closing and the reply was that the car was ready. Thats great but why didnt anyone call me????So I rush down to pick up the car before they closed. They started off with they found nothing wrong with the starter or anything. Ok fine. Then they hand me my box of airbags (completely unopened!) And state it doesnt fit on my car because of something in the way. Ok.... What about the transmission cooler? The guy said they never got to it.What a complete waste of my day just to hoard my car on their site!! I specifically purchased the air bags for my vehicle make and model so I went elsewhere and that is where I found MOBILE MARK.MOBILE MARK took me in after two days (not a week later) and had the job done in three hours. No problem at all installing the airbags at all.I will never use or send anyone I know to Palm Coast Auto. Although they were nice upon arrival, the rest of their business ethics should be highly questioned!

Had very good word of mouth from several of the locals and the reviews are great so I gave them a try. Honest and professional are not words that usually go hand in hand with auto repair shops, but these folks are the real deal. I would highly recommend their service for anyone who is looking to have their vehicles repaired.

Fair Prices and friendly helpful service

Easily and hands down the most friendly, transparent, efficient AND affordable company to work with. Thank you for taking care of my vehicles over the past few years! You have set the bar very high!!

If I could give negative stars, I would. Went in 3 times and $150 later Im still at square one. Had an issue with my brake lights not working one morning and I went ahead and changed all the bulbs and lost my turn signals immediately after replacing them. I then brought it to Palm Coast Auto Repair and explained this to them (which I dont think they listened to the part about my brake lights not working) so they put in a turn signal relay for $50. So, now my signals up front are working but very dim in the rear and still no brake lights - Not knowing this, I immediately pissed someone off 10 minutes after leaving the shop when I switched lanes not knowing they couldnt see my signals. Had to wait 2 days to come back, pay another $50 to get them temporarily working and they stopped working the same night. Called them and they told me to go buy a light assembly with sockets from a junk yard. I drove 1.5 hours round trip to get it and paid another $50, had them put it in the next day and guess what? Still no brake lights. Then they say brake light switch which I know its not because I already replaced it. I called back later and politely asked Ken why I have came to his shop 3 times and still have the same issue, He got an attitude and told me that Im driving a 20 year old car (not everyone can afford a brand new car) and if I want him to figure out what the issue is then bring it back in but he wont work for free to which I say Ive already paid you $100 and got nothing out of it, so whats going to be so different this time from the last 3 times? He then hung up the phone and avoided me when I tried to call him back. Class Act. I would never recommend this place to anyone I care about. Beware!

Ken and David operate one of the busiest automotive repair shops in Palm Coast. They are very professional and stay right on schedule with their appointments.

Walked in to set a appointment with David. Whenever I arrived for my scheduled day and time. I waited for roughly 15 mins. Wasn’t greeted or helped. Just ignored. It wasn’t busy there was one other person there. Guess the owner was too busy to give a dang cause he was focused on his computer instead.

Well I bought a used car last year in May, the engine blew in December. Decided to have these guys replace the engine and any other engine problems. They did, and since they did there has been multiple check engine lights coming on. After being told its the computer, which wasnt a problem before the new engine. They proceeded to say our hood latch was broke. And that they werent responsible for it or the damage to it. Afterwards they recommended their neighbor company to fix it. That company said our front frame was bent and to fix the latch itd cost around 1 thousand dollars and a week and a half to do so. Now why would my latch be broke and frame be bent if Ive only had one mechanic work on it? Even more so why would said company deny any wrong doing and refuse to pay for it to be corrected?

We have moved here recently and wanted to find an honest and detailed repair center. Ken and his team is exactly that! They gave me a honest estimate and saved me money by telling me exactly what would be needed and no more. They have done a full brake job with rotors and pads, struts and shocks and basic service and I have been very pleased. My Acura MDX drives like new! They even did a diagnosis of the vehicle and another place quoted $1300 or the repair. Ken stated it was just a computer reset and did it at no cost to me. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

I drove 45 minutes from Daytona to go here for peace of mind. This is the only place I trust. I know there are a lot of car repair shops much closer, but for me, its worth the drive. I cant tell you how many times I went in just to have them look at something. They did so quickly and if anything was wrong, theyd say so, but if not, theyd say so. The first time I came they replaced my air blower. That was 3 years ago. Everytime since, they have been fair and honest with me. One time I thought I needed a front end alignment but all I needed was new tires. Another time, my check engine light came on. They did the test. Found nothing wrong, reset it and didnt charge me. Today, I worried about my electrical system. I called another place who said they charged $45 dollars to check the system. If they found anything wrong, theyd take the cost off the repair. I called PC Auto. Told them the same thing and asked if they charged to look at my car. No,we wont charge you to look at, was the reply. I made an appointment. Arrived early. A man, who didnt have an appointment, walked in ahead him. He was concerned about something in his door. The son who is always so nice to everyone, walked out with him, looked at car, and returned a couple of minutes later saying, I wish everything was that easy. Can I help you? I told him I had an appointment. He took the key. Wrote up the ticket. Twenty minutes later, the mechanic comes in from my car by the front door. He said, I couldnt find anything wrong with it but if it happens again, bring it back and well look at it again. I was so happy and relieved I nearly cried. There was no charge. Ladies and gentlemen if you can find another place does this, let me know because in all my 59 years I never have.

I went a few weeks ago to go get my new car a quick check to see if anything was wrong, a few things but nothing serious. So a week later I went on a small trip and one of my tires belt broke, so I took it to another mechanic and they said all the tires were dry rotted! How this shop missed that during the check up is completely beyond me! So I told this shop I also had to get new tires and somehow they missed it the first time. After that initial time of telling them I needed new ones I told them two other times I need new tires, each time they say ok fine. I bring it in to get it fixed, and mention again about the tires. They didn’t put THE TIRES ON! They don’t know what they’re doing and do not listen. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were other problems with my car they didn’t see before that are SO OBVIOUS! Never coming back and I don’t suggest this place to anyone

Bailed Me Out With No AppointmentMy car almost didnt start that morning, I had deadlines to meet and I knew if I shut the car off I wouldnt get another start out of it. I drove it up to Palm Coast Auto, left it running in the parking lot. They took it in immediately, replaced my battery and sent me on my way in less than an hour. They are the best and I highly recommend them!

Volvo had scary dash warning Engine system service urgent. PCAR checked system OK. Cleared dash warning. No trouble since. NO CHARGE. Gave owner $10 anyway. Worth it!

Back in Feburary I came to Palm Coast Auto Repair on the recommendation of a coworker. I had a bad vibration in my vehicle, possibly needed a tune up, and definitely needed an oil change. The quote for all three services was for over $1200 and I couldnt afford it at the time. They did do the oil change which I paid for. Now here I am getting ready to move 1100 miles and went to Walmart to get the oil change and because I need things for my trip. Walmart has my vehicle 30 mins, it was only in the bay for about 5 minutes, and tell me they cant do the oil change because this shop stripped the pan. When I came by to see if they would make it right they denied they stripped my oil pan and wanted to charge me for services. DO NOT GO HERE! BUYER BEWARE!

The owner suggested that I contact GM because there was a recall and the dealer should fix it for free but that the recall expired at the end of March. I ask him to put everything back together and that I would call GM and take it to a dealer to get it repaired. When I asked him what I owed there was no charge for their time. Good honest people.
