Always get my cars oil changes done there, and they have great management and staff! Very friendly service and customer service experiences there for me, over the last decade or so! I would most definitely recommend them to my friends and family, we have never had a single issue there!

DO NOT GO HERE! Zero starsUpdated review: When asked was told car was good to go and nothing else was wrong with it so I was initially very happy. A short time later I had a major breakdown in the middle of the street. Mechanic who repaired it told me that Monro should have seen and told me about the additional repairs needed and the extremely worn ball joints on the front of the car. He didnt want me to even drive the car until both were fixed. Monro didnt say a word when they serviced my car in March and in the end I had to pay for a tow from the breakdown as well as a second alignment . Monro was not interested in making situation right.Great service! They did an alignment and replaced two tires for a very reasonable cost! Had to order tires because my car took an odd size, but they kept me informed all the way. Great customer service!

I came in with my Hondas AC not working and was charged $193 merely for them to check it. They claimed they had to move some things around to get to the AC. They then told me that I was looking at an $850 part on top of this. I was told that the person in charge of fixing it would be in the following morning and would give me a call. Never heard from them.I took it to another shop for a second opinion, and although I did in fact need the repair, they were able to check it out for about $60. I called several other shops around and asked for estimates to look at the AC, and all of them were under $75. I also asked about the reputation of Monro, and each place said it was the last place theyd recommend anyone go to. Monro clearly saw me, a young woman with little experience in handling car repairs, coming from a mile away and decided to take me to the cleaners. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Absolutely would recommend Monro in Oxford. Came for some tire issues. John the manager was super - friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and very communicative. The rest of the staff was very friendly as well. I will absolutely come back in the future. Thank you for being so accommodating!!!

I don’t know what about the five star reviews, Maybe just people don’t realized they are overpaying for everything other than the $19.99 oil change or some time is 25.99 here. Most service price at this location are high, Like tires, alignment brake works and even more. Don’t forget they charge shop supply fee on top of that. When they Offer 19.99 oil change, is the time stay away from the shop. They tried to bring you in with the low price then sell the services you don’t need and it would cost hundreds. Give two star review become this shop have longer hours

I’m not sure if the staff has changed recently, but I’ve had nothing except for positive experiences here.I had two issues with my car; part of the exhaust had rusted out, and my car was vibrating/shutting off. John actually worked with me to find the best price and fix the issue at the same time. I found this visit so helpful, that my girlfriend and I decided to ask about the other issue after my car had shut off a few times while idling. To give some context, we did not have an appointment when we asked this and I was leaving the next day. John and the employees there worked extra time past when they closed in order to fix the problem, and I haven’t had any issues ever since. I also find it very considerate that John wears a mask and asks if a price is okay before doing the work.I’ve been gouged in the past on prices and it sucks when a bill comes out to be way more than you anticipated. After my experiences here, I can’t see myself going anywhere else for car issues in the future.

Had a bit of a unique issue with a set of duel tires/valve stems on an RV. Due to the size of the vehicle it was unable to be put on a lift in the garage. Nigel came out and rolled around on the hot blacktop and under the vehicle until he was able to make the repair successfully. 5 starrs to both Nigel and the manager of this location for going above and beyond in providing exemplary service!

So I had a issue on Saturday at 340pm blew a tire and knocked the alignment out of my car by a lot. John the store manager was outstanding, he assured me that they coupd replace my tires even though it was getting close to closing time. I got there with about 30 minutes to spare but there was a line ahead of me, which is very understandable, John got my info took my keys and I proceeded to wait. Nigel the mechanic was the one working on my car and he stayed late, about an hour and a half past closing time to ensure I had my vehicle working and in good order. I was impressed by both of these employees professionalism and commentment to getting the job done. If I have any further issues I will make the 45 minute drive out of my way to bring it to these gentlemen because I have never had such excellent service before. Honestly these men saved the day.

I really enjoy coming to have work done on my car here. The manager is a nice guy who won’t rip you off. However, I will no longer be taking my car to monro muffler in Oxford for service.I requested a quote on some tires, as well as a brake flush, and an alignment. I gave the manager my phone number and he said he would call me back the next day. A week went by, and I heard nothing. I stopped into the shop. He said he would call me the next day. I never got a call. I took my business to University Motors.3 stars for the manager being a nice guy. However, it seems like he is very over worked and under staffed. Support the manager, give him staff, and the business will flourish.

I’m protective of my dad because he’s a (sometimes gullible) older Asian man with an accent. I’m LIVID knowing you guys tried to take advantage of him.He came in saying the brakes were making a noise. During inspection, the mechanic said the noise could reverberate (a good excuse to work on front & rear brakes), increasing the estimate from an initial $650 to $1400, from “quick fix, no big deal” to “gee, this could take two weeks”.Looking at the quote, it’s clear you guys took the shotgun approach of replacing everything under the sun without identifying the problem first. It’s possible none of these parts are the issue. The brake rotors could be warped—if so you wouldn’t need to also replace the pad or do a brake system flush. Our final quote was ridiculous, additionally covering front rotors and pads, back rotors, brake shoes & drum.Our family mechanic checked our brakes later & told us they were good for another 20k miles at least, & fixed up the car for $250.Until your team stops preying on people, we will take our business elsewhere and warn everyone away. This is inexcusable behavior.Having car trouble in Oxford? Do yourself a favor and skip Monro.

I have a 2014 Ford Fusion. They were supposed to do a simple oil change which cost $26.07. When we got the car back it was running horribly and the check engine light was on. We had to take it to the dealership who said the oil had been filled too high and they had to flush out the system, change the filter again, and redo the oil change which cost several hundred dollars. I contacted Mike, stated what happened, and asked for just a refund of the $26.07 several months ago in March. After at least 7 calls to them I still have not received a refund in May and just keep getting the run around. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE IF YOU VALUE THE HEALTH OF YOUR AUTOMOBILE.Follow up: Contacted Brittany at their corporate number for customer service. Shes just a PR / Online Media shill who was not helpful at all and just passed me on to their claims department where I got a recording. I dont even care about the money at this point. I just want people to know how horrible of a place this is so they get no more business and go away. Hopefully well get a decent oil change shop here in its place. It cant happen quickly enough.

BEWARE of this place. This shop is making every attempt to prey on the naivety and general financial stability of the large college student body in Oxford. The price gouging by the Monro in Oxford is absurd. I took my truck in for a standard brake pad replacement, a job that should cost $200 - $250. When I called to check on my vehicle, because no one from the shop called me despite being there for the entire day, I was quoted at over $1,750. They wanted to change everything that could possibly be changed. Needless to say, I did not have them touch anything. I took the truck to two other more reputable shops for second and third opinions both of which said I did not need any of the extra things that Monro was attempting to do. In addition to attempting to exploit my wallet the customer service was poor. No one called me to let me know they were done looking the truck over. When I went to pick it up, after calling myself at the end of the business day, the guy at the counter could not find the key to my vehicle for at least 20 minutes and did not attempt to explain any of the repairs quoted. Do not use this shop.

Had some major and minor work done to my car here. The staff is extremely friendly and their matter mechanics clearly build their own cars in their spare time. I was having some work done where they had to take off my axel, and while they were in there they disassembled cleaned and resealed my rear diff, just because something was funny with it and he still had some time. Didnt have to pay for it, they just did it because it needed to be done. From what Ive experienced, theyll go above and beyond to ensure your car functions better on(or off) the road when you get it back, then when you gave it to them.

John gave me Great customer service by coming and helping my 81 year old Mother (Virginia Lewis) who has run the Presidents Guest house (Simpson Shade Guest house) at Miami University for 14 years. He came and jumped her car so we could get it to Monroe Auto to install a new battery. The manager really knows how to interact with his employees and customers. I made an appointment last week for a Monday morning service of JUST an oil change at 10:30am and check the box that says I plan on staying for the service. I get my confirmation email to say that I am all booked for that time slot. Yet, when I arrive at 10:20am on Monday they tell me that there are multiple people before me on the list even though I had a set appointment time. Then they tell me that they can’t tell me a time to come back and that I need to leave my car there and they will get to it. Luckily a friend was able to pick me up. I call at 2:30pm because I have yet to hear back from them about my car and they inform me that they are getting started on it now. Wait another hour and don’t hear from them so I call again to see if my car is done and they tell me that they are finishing up. So I arrive there about 7 minutes later and my car is not done and they are only just now pouring oil into it. Then as I am paying for my oil change that was FOUR HOURS AND FIFTEEN MINUTES pass my appointment time the guy that helped me when I dropped my car off decided that saying “I’m glad I could get you in and out of here as fast as possible.” Was a good idea.So I will not be returning and I am an extremely unhappy customer with this place. If you have an appointment you should be the first priority or at least compensated for the majority of the day I was unable to accomplish anything else because I did not have my car.

I just left the shop. Very good customer experience. My daughter goes to school at Miami and the shop is very convenient for her to drop her car at the shop. They just fixed her washer pump and replaced her rotors. They showed us just how bad the rotors were - rusted and cracked. Yikes! Then as we were going home I noticed that my daughters tail light was burnt out. So we turned around and went right back. They fixed the light - no charge. Very pleased with Joe and his crew. We will be back for not only the next oil change but anything else that comes up. He will keep my daughters car running safely.

Really good service!! My car’s windshield wiper was not working. They wanted to charge me 1000$ for the new parts, like wiper motor or something. However, I don’t believe it, because I found that wiper motor actually working, and the connection between wiper and wiper transmission was loose. Therefore, I went to another auto service, and asked them to tighten the nut between wiper and wiper transmission. Only 5$! My windshield wiper fixed.

I have been in town for roughly a year and a half and have gone in multiple times to Monro for oil changes and multiple times I have never been contacted saying that my car was completed and ready for pickup. I drive an hour every day to work and I need my car to do that. I dropped it off on a Saturday morning and never heard from them, I took a nap and then next thing I know its 8pm and no call. They are not open Sundays so they knew that they had a finished car in the back lot. Im lucky that my wife has a car or I wouldnt have been able to even get to work that day. When I said something about it to the man working the front desk, the only thing he says I swore I called you. He then proceeds to say well give you a free oil change if you give us a 5 star rating on Google.Thats not even the worst thing. I took my wifes car in for ONE oil change, they say she needs 4 new tires (her car had 15k miles only) and we just found out TODAY when using another auto shop, that Monro stripped the bolt to her oil plug and the shop literally could not change our oil because they couldnt even get it off. When she confronted them about this, they only apologized and offered to fix it. TO HELL WITH THAT, YOULL BREAK MORE PARTS OF HER BRAND NEW CAR.TLDR - if you value your car, do NOT take it here

Do no trust these guys. They told my wife they did a tire rotation and even typed it up on the paperwork. They didn’t do it. I fixed a tire the day before and noticed right away they didn’t do the work. What other services are they not doing? It’s guys like These that make it hard to trust any mechanics. Sad.

I took my car here back in November for an oil change. They forgot to put oil back in it and the car died two miles from the shop. As of today, nearly five months later Ive yet to get a resolution from their corporate office. I advise you to avoid doing business with them!

I have always been extremely pleased with the service here. Mike and his crew get things done when they say they will, and they communicate immediately if a problem arises. Mike is great about making suggestions for my six year old vehicle about recommended maintenance, but never pushy. I will continue to go to this location and recommend Monro Oxford to friends.

I took my Dodge Caliber in recently for some services. I needed a TPMS valve stem replaced and a tire resealed. While it was in the shop, I asked them to do an oil change. Included in the oil change would be a tire rotation and all of my fluids topped off.When I got my vehicle, I was not very happy. I checked it right after I got the services done. My tires were not rotated, the valve stem replaced was a different color than all of the other ones, they left one of my valve stem covers off, my power steering fluid was still low, my coolant was below par, and they over filled the oil! Not to mention, a week later my tire they were supposed to reseal is still leaking air.I have not had the time to go in during business hours (as I work 12 + a day). However, I have called time and time again. No answer. I will get corrected what they did wrong (while supervising closely), and then I will never go there again.

After a bad experience at a different local tire shop in oxford, I called Monroe while still in the parking lot of the place that gave me bad service, the manager answered the phone and I gave him the run down of my issue and mentioned the bad service I had just got (from a different shop) Long story short. If you value your life, do not go there!!!My car wheel fell off when I was driving in high way and a part of fender was off as well. I did rotation in a repair store about 2 months ago so I contacted them. The store were the last one that touched my wheels. At first the store says they will take care of everything thing. After getting my car, they said they did nothing wrong, and kept me waiting saying that their claim department will come a few days later to check. Then I waited for 20 days and the claim department says it’s not their fault without even giving a report or evidence. They just keep procrastinating and play around and never help you.

My daughter took the car into this place because it was the only one she found that could handle the problem (brakes) in the time we needed (graduation weekend). I was very concerned about the amount of work they said they had to do to get the car back up to shape. I went there to pick the car up with reservations about whether we were getting a fair deal. I came away with a very good impression of the operation and generally a good experience. the guys explained everything they did, showed me the old parts, explained causes, went over the bill in detail, and answered all my questions.

The new management is a bunch of crooks. Tried to charge me $182 for an oil change. I’ve had the same oil change in the same vehicle done there before an it was $63. I also have my receipt from the last oil change. I have been a customer for about 5 years and taken every vehicle we’ve owned there for different reasons. I will never give them one red cent of my hard earned money again.

Excellent customer service. I was having an issue with my filter leaking and the manager brought my truck in immediately and had the problem fixed within 10 minutes. He didnt charge me for the work either because he knew I had just had the oil changed at another location not a few weeks ago so he didnt pressure me to pay for any kind of oil change charge. I appreciate his customer service and would take it back for another oil change for sure.

I was in oxford visiting my son and we developed a sudden grinding in one of our wheels. The guys at Munro did a break inspection, found out something had seized up. Did a full car break inspection and fixed what they said was a minor issue and didn’t charge us. We tried to pay and they said break inspections are free and it was a ten minute fix. It was more then ten minutes, we were blown away. Thanks again!!

I was here just a few days ago to get my head lights replaced! They had them out and in littarly in about 20 minutes. Lookin good, working great. Ive also had my breaks done here, minor light bulb repairs, and oil changes. My car is doing great. Never had to wait longer than an hour or a little more. Of course I always made appointments which is important. Ill be back.

I have a Toyota Sienna 2004 van; my son accidentally filled it with diesel fuel at Kroger (yes the diesel nozzle fits into it, apparently this happens all the time). He had it towed to Monro on Lynn Ave in Oxford during the night. THe next day they quoted me from $2000 to $3200 to clean out the fuel tank, possibly replace fuel injectors ($2000 if they didnt have to do that), do an acid wash, replace filter and spark plugs, etc. I was horrified. After hearing from several people not to trust Monro and seeing online that it should cost no more than $600 or so, I had it towed to Oxford Car Care, which quoted me a maximum of $600 to do everything, but the final bill was only $302.00. The car runs fine now. They said they do these all the time because so many international students accidentally use diesel as they transition to the university.Do NOT trust Monro.

Do not get your oil changed here.I just did my own oil and discovered the oil filter they used: had no brand name and after a lot of research I found it and it cost $2 wholesale. They tried to charge me $80 for full synthetic, but that filter was absolute junk, and now Im worried they didnt even use full synthetic oil.Thankfully I changed my oil earlier than I normally would for full synthetic, if you care about the health of your car do not come here.

I took my truck to these guys with antifreeze leakage problem. My truck spent 7 days with more problems. They ended up replacing my radiator which initially had no problem, and the truck left in a terrible shape. I paid close to $ 430.00 and took it to another mechanic who fixed my antifreeze leakage problem and the rest of the problems created by this Monroe brake guys. I end up paying another $550.00. I deeply regret taking my truck to this Monroe brakes guys. If you are lucky to be reading this message, kindly advise yourself from my experience. God bless America !

I’ve taken my car here twice as well as my fiancés and Rob has treated me great. He got my car in for an oil change same day and it only took 45 minutes for hers.He also got my car in the next day when I had problems with my temperature system and my car overheating, and that’s huge as a delivery driver.Awesome service and it didn’t cost me an arm, or a leg!

They took two days longer than promised to change my spark plugs and wires. I asked for an oil change, too. But instead of just telling me he forgot, the manager, Dave, told me he gave it to me for free, and thats why it wasnt on the bill. My oil is filthy and thin. I think I can tell the difference between old and brand new oil. He could have at least changed the oil reminder sticker on the windshield for effect. If I were someone unfamiliar with car maintenance, I wouldnt know he lied to me until my engine locked up. Avoid this place at all costs. I should have read the other reviews first and took my car to Tire Discounters, like I usually do. Im going there anyway, to get my oil changed. Dont waste your time at Monro like I did.

I have been to this location numerous times and have always received good service by their normal staff working the front counter. Today, I did not have a similar experience.The customer service I received as I entered into the building was absolutely unacceptable. There was a customer standing in front of me, at the counter dropping off her vehicle and the front desk person addresses me saying What can I do for you. To which, I reply advising him that I have a 4pm appointment. He finished up with the lady in front of me, then looks at his computer and says he has no appointments at 4pm. I tell him my name and my vehicle and he states again that he does not see any appointments under my name. I tell him, that I have received a confirmation email. At this point, the front desk person says that he needs to go out and do something for the lady that previously left. Taking him about 7 minutes.He comes back to the counter and looks at his computer stating again that he doesnt see my appointment at all. I read to him VERBATIM the confirmation email I received, then he states, Oh your appointment was at 4pm...25 mins late. (He is now adding the time I had been waiting for him to finish with the customer previously in front of me). After MIRACULOUSLY finding my scheduled appointment, he turns to me and says Ill have to squeeze you in since youre late. With a completely visible attitude/tone, as if my presence has completely interrupted his entire day.He proceeds to begrudgingly ask me all questions that he couldve answered by looking at my scheduled appointment info (Name, Vehicle, What service I wanted, etc.) He tells me that the Oil Change will be $25.xx and I tell him that I have a coupon for an oil change in my car. Then he tells me that he needs the coupon now, ( I have gotten 100+ oil changes and have NEVER needed to present the coupon BEFORE they even took my keys). Anyway, I go and get the coupon and it is for an oil change $17.99. He tells me that the $25 price that he just gave me, is already including the $17.99 oil change coupon I handed him. He hands me a paper and tells me that I need to sign it, and the paper has a price on it stating that the oil change is $22. I decide to let this issue go because the guy was clearly irritated and I didnt have time to confront him about a couple dollars.I give him my keys and sign the paper and sit down. I wait another 15 minutes, then the front desk person says Hey can you come back tomorrow, because we arent able to get you in. Nevermind the fact that I signed paper work, gave him my keys, presented a coupon, and had been at the store for a total of 40-45 mins at this time.My complaint is that the front desk person clearly lacks customer service skills, completely disregarded and acted as if I had no appointment scheduled, acted like he could not find my appointment in the first place, then made me wait for 15 minutes before he somehow came to the conclusion that they did not have time to do a SCHEDULED OIL CHANGE! (Even though he had JUST accepted another customer right in front of me, and had no problems completing her walk-in request!)I would also like to state that I do not know the name of this front desk person, but he is NOT the person I frequently deal with when I come to Monro. I usually talk to a guy with light brown hair, average build, and he may be the manager. The guy I interacted with today was large, had dark hair, and looked like this was his first time behind a computer!Prior to today, I wouldve recommended everyone I knew to come to Monro because of the prices and service I had previously received. After today, not only will I not be back, I will make SURE I spread the word about how I was treated as a paying customer with a previous appointment!

Very expensive. 3 foot of brake line. System flush for $189+tax. For 30 minutes of work start to finish. Meineke did it for $89+tax. Thats a $100 mark up at monroe in Oxford Ohio.

Will never go here again. Customer service is bad and they take hours for them to even get started on cars. Was there for over 3 hours and they had nothing even done on my SUV, so me and my family explained our frustrations to them and left. They were not sincere and did not care that we spent most of the day there waiting on them to do nothing. About 5 to 6 people came in after us and were In and out before us. All we wanted was a straight pipe done nothing else. No muffler, just a pipe. Me and my family live in indiana and drive to oxford, Ohio to monro to get work done, that never got done. So we had to drive back to indiana with nothing done to our SUV and waste time and lots of gas. There work is horrible, they cannot weld worth nothing. Very mad, frustrated, unpleased. I advise you dont waste your time or money here!
