Im not big on makeup so I never felt the need to shop at Ulta. However, there was an online deal on products I did use with in-store pickup. So there I was. A particular staff (AA lady, cashier, bubbly & energetic) helped me pick out an eyeshadow pallet. I was hesitant but she said I could return it if I didnt like it. 2 weeks later, returned it, full refund, no questions asked. I was sold, will be buying all my makeup from Ulta Beauty!

I walked in, asked one question and was wisked into my own make-up dream! I love this place! EVERYONE in here KNOWS the products! All you have to do is tell them what you want a product to do and they take you to it.

Customer service is very good. The associates on the floor to the cashiers. These ladies always make me feel comfortable!

Theft must be pretty high in losses because the store had two officers. A thief never keeps anything, not even to keep a good character, and is like an undisciplined child wanting their way at others expense. These thieves causes others to unfairly pay for their wrongdoings. Cost of products soar higher to make up the lost.

I went here the other day. I bought a couple new goodies from Urban Decay. Chelsea working there is very kind and helpful and another guy I wish I got his name. He helped me find a clarifying shampoo. Awesome beauty deals going on for March. Yay!

The store requires safety: social distancing and masking. Associates have signs posted that we can ask for help. With most individuals working amd in school during the day there were very few customers at the time I was inside the store. I was able to be assisted right away. The entire store was fully stocked, clean and they had hand sanitizing stations throughout the store. It was another great experience at Ulta.

Ulta OM sucks. Customer service isnt the best and I feel they have the least inventory compared to Huntvalley and Eldersburg

Greeted by salesperson when I entered the store. Staff failed to ask if they can assist me.

The woman at the cash register was rude. Told me to find someone on the floor to help me.One of the floor salesman (a Caucasian woman) never acknowledged me, never spoke to me but gave her 100% attention to another Caucasian woman customer.Finally, a young black salesperson helped me and she was great. Very kind and polite. Showed me my options for makeup brush cleaner.I spent over $200 in 15 minutes and the service was terrible. I’ll either not be returning to the Owings Mills location or I’ll stick to Sephora.

ULTA is a pretty good store, 50% off area right now. I gave the store 4 stars because they only had one register open and a long line. My hair stylist is there though and thats why I went. Her name is Kelly and she is A plus. My hair is natural and she is great with treatment, color, styling, cut, anything. Kelly is considered a Master Beautician. Kelly bought my hair back to life. I have been with Kelly many years. I left her for awhile because of location however another beautician messed up my hair badly and luckily soon after I was able to return to Kelly. The right beautician MATTERS!!! I give Kelly Parker 5 stars.

Went in on a Monday evening for nail polish and to inquire about other items. Very few customers. Completely ignored by a sales person when entering. Stopped sales person to ask about a product. Told no such product available. No suggestions made or inquiries about other items of interest. Circled store. Stopped and picked up items. Other sales people standing around. One talking on her phone while customers waited at register. Asked an associate to help me and was told to wait. No other sales person called to help. While waiting saw my sales person start to help a new customer. When she saw me she turned to avoid eye contact. I had 50$ worth of items I put down on a random shelf and walked out. I bought my items elsewhere.

Front door monitored for max store capacity. Several staff very helpful in finding specific items - obtaining out stock concealer from the back and offering to order and ship another item directly. Manager noted a growing line and jumped on register to assist before returning to the floor to help staff and customers. This is how to run a shop!

Really glad ULTA is on the West side of Baltimore Co. Its one of my favorite places to shop for beauty products. The store was well stocked and organized, the staff was sparse, no one really greeted me upon entering the store, but the cashier was very friendly, really nice girl with great customer service. Im rating 4 starts for location, how well they were organized, and the friendliness of the cashier. Id definitely go back again because its closer than the one in Columbia and to see if the staff is any different.

Was helped as much possible by rai for my daughter curly hair. The product she best thought work for my kid worked enough to hydrate it. Thanks to her.. its hard to find a curly specialist anywhere near here. PS your store is well organized.

I had an appointment at 2 pm for hair. I am getting call a day before for conform my appointment for next day and the day of my appointment before 15 mins, I am receiving a text that my appointment has been cancelled. Bec their system says I am scheduled at 1:30pm. But I booked my appointment at 2 pm and I received two text saying you have an appointment at 2 pm. This happened with me second time at same location. I am not happy about it. Very poor service.

Its a large beauty store with a lot of products to offer.

I always come to this Ulta. It usually has what I need. When I enter, Im greeted most of the time. The cashiers that Ive experienced have always been nice and helpful. On the floor, Ive had to almost find someone to help me but that could also be because of COVID.

Not welcoming or friendly. Did not acknowledge me or ask to help with a potentially high priced purchase. Ill take my money somewhere else. Won’t be back to Ulta ever again

Well lit. Inviting and we found some beautifully trending stocking stuffers and reasonable prices.

The manager was so rude an associate named Michelle was helping me pick out my items she was so nice and helpful. The manager kept calling her over and over so she could stop helping me and come even went to the point to calling her over the store speaker when she could see I was being helped very disrespectful. Michelle had to stop helping to help on the cash register but there were no other employees around to help. Very unprofessional

On Sunday I checked online to see if they had an item in stock, and it said they did online. When I got to the store, the item was not on the shelf. When I asked an employee about the item, she flat out said they did not have it. On Thursday, I checked again online, and it said the item was in stock, so I ordered the item for in store pick up, and was able to get the item. I have a feeling the item was there on Sunday, but the employee didnt want to look for it since it wasnt on the shelf.

I like Ulta beauty because. It has everything you need to look good.

Well organized store. It was my first visit to an Ulta beauty store. I was surprised by the display of products. The vendors are very nice and prompt to help with anything. It even has a make-up area and a hair salon. Nice!

Anné is an amazing hair stylist! She worked literal magic today with my hair. I’ve lived in OM for almost 4 years and haven’t found a hair stylist like her. She was very professional. She took her time and made sure she understood what I wanted for the color of my hair. She made me feel beautiful even while being 32 weeks pregnant. I will recommend her to everyone I know. Her humble personality and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I will be coming back to get my hair done only by her.

Usually I love coming to ulta when I need a little retail therapy. Today I just felt very Uncomfortable being followed around by security. I thought I was tripping at first but 3 isles later he definitely was following me.

The staff is helpful but they seem to often be out of product.

I love the store itself and it’s always clean, but majority of the staff is just horrible. On two separate occasions I have dealt with rude employees. Not even directly at me, but witnessed them doing It to other people. One woman, who I believe to be the manager, asked three girls (they were about 17) if they were just playing with products because they were trying on different testers and proceeded to tell them “this isn’t a playground” angrily.

This store was under staffed. I couldnt get any help on the floor with products. The check out line was long.

Love Ulta! They have a great Ulta-mate rewards program. They carry high end and reasonably priced cosmetics, bath products, nail polish, perfumes, and hair electronics. They even have their own Ulta brand cosmetics. I shop their often. 💄🛍💅💋

Love going here to just walk around & marvel at all the products available to help us look & feel better. Sometimes overwhelming. This time I had a list. A sales associate helped me find what I was looking for. She was helpful, pleasant & efficient. Checkout was fast but friendly. Only complaint is the center aisle is difficult to navigate due to all the holiday specials.

I worked in retail for years and have a pretty low bar of professionalism i expect, because I know it sucks to be on your feet for 10 hours a day. Yet most employees still fail to clear even the most basic forms of customer service! I dont need to be greeted or even acknowledged honestly, but I would really prefer not to be treated as a nuisance for having the audacity check out. This is the kind of attitude I would have been written up for in all of my last jobs. It isnt just off days, its my regular expected experience so I only go in a real pinch (for reference I live about 4 miles away and still often opt to order online). That said, I have had comparably good experiences with some of the floor staff, but I do think that the snobby employees are really bringing down this location, and from the looks of other reviewers I am not alone. I get that its a boring job but clear annoyance when customers ask for help or are just checking out is a terrible look. Recently I was using merchandise credit to pay, at no time did she ask if I wanted to use my points, just to swipe, and then after told me (very rudely, thank you) that I had to tell her before using the MC. She also went to answer the phone while I was still standing there and tried to wave me away. I was waiting for my receipt. I know its small, but its just one example of how unpleasant they manage to make cosmetics shopping, something that is usually pretty dang fun.

Nice store but if you ever need to call the store for any reason, don’t expect anyone to answer. I have been calling the Owings Mills store for three days just trying to ask a simple question about their products. How unprofessional that you can’t even speak with anyone.

I will give three stars for cleanliness but as someone who is very recently starting to get interested in makeup I was very excited for this store opening up only a few miles from my home. I spend a lot of money at the drug store and I figured if I liked Ulta, Id be there all the time, having fun and spending lots of money. I had hoped that I would be greeted by friendly staff and offered help, instead I wandered around waiting for one of the many not busy staff members to ask me if I needed anything or had any questions but it literally never happened. I bought a few items that I felt comfortable with but honestly they missed a big opportunity to educate me on cool products and sell them to me. Not sure Ill ever go back and Im pretty bummed about it.

This location is decent. I came with my mother because she wanted some lashes that would last her a while. The gentleman working there was very friendly and helpful to us. The cashier at the front end who checked us out was also pleasant. I guess it’s a hit or miss because we went there today (Tuesday after 5pm) so it was a positive vibe, weekends are busier so they may not give that “world class customer service” most people want. There’s no excuses for that but I also feel like since it’s a fairly new store they may need to continue to work the kinks out. Overall, I would recommend this store and encourage others to try it and see for yourself.

I really love this store, but most times Ive gone into this one, and Ive needed to ask a question, I get pretty annoyed sounding responses. I was looking for a recommendation for a shampoo for my specific hair situation, and I felt like the lady was bothered by my asking. Didnt feel very good. On the flipside, the men and women in the makeup section are super friendly and helpful! Always have coupons. All in all, I will continue shopping here.

My friend and I went in last night to get new lipstick. I was NOT greeted when I walked in. Nor was I asked if I needed help. I finally asked for help and was brushed off and if I was supposed to know where thing were located. We also had to search around for remover.Stuff was just rude. SMH not the a great experience.

Items were heavily picked over, shelves in disarray or unstocked. The security guard kept following, making me feel uncomfortable and as if I was doing something wrong. Its my birthday month, Im a platinum member, no mention of the birthday gifts. Ive been an Ulta shopper for 15 years, and this store is far and beyond the least welcoming and most unorganized that Ive been to. I came opening week, and felt that floor staff would have paid attention to me if only I was on fire. Its a shame that I prefer ordering online than going to a store 5 minutes from me.

The staff was very friendly and willing to help. But... I was a bit annoyed that when I went to checkout with my 20% off coupon the cashier used it towards the $4 ($.80 off) chapstick instead of the $20 lip gloss! Will definitely check my receipt next time

The staff was very helpful. They took time out to try some products on me to make sure I was happy with my purchases. They can get really busy, check out went pretty fast. I just wished they had a little roped off section for that. People were lined up blocking alot of one wall. They have everything. ☺

I came to this specific Ulta for 2 reasons. First being it’s close to home and second because the app advised that they had all of the items I was looking for. I came into Ulta which seemed to be significantly less crowded and busy and I see why. After looking for 4 specific items on my own with only success with finding one of the items I then asked the cashier for some help. She advised me that she can not leave her post to walk over to the NYX area which is directly next to the corner. I politely asked her if someone could then assist me on the back row with all the Ulta items. She contacted someone on the mic and I waited patiently for 15 mins for someone to assist me. NOBODY came! I actually had more than enough time to organize their eyebrow section which was in such a disarray! I was beyond pissed. I don’t know if they were low staff or if everyone decided to take a break at that particular time but I was not happy with this service at all. I ended up leaving the store not purchasing anything. I will visit another Ulta on another day but I will not be back at this Ulta and that’s for sure!

Tia was the rudest employee of Ulta I have ever encountered. As a former employee of Ulta, I know the excellent customer service that employees have the ability to provide. However, she was very rude and nasty when I attempted to return a product. Very unpleasant.

If you want to shop in peace please don’t come here. I was looking for some new fragrances and literally 3 employees plus the security guard were literally on my back the whole time. They didn’t care that I knew they were watching. I am disgusted. I eventually bought something but I will be returning because I feel like this store doesn’t deserve my money. And the Testers were all filthy! First and last time shopping at Ulta. I highly prefer Mac or Sephora for sure!

I went in today around noon to visit the brow bar. This was going to be my first visit and I was extremely excited! Ive heard it was the best. Sadly upon arrival, I was notified that no one was there to do eyebrows. Its too bad, it really looked like a nice place to get my eyebrows done. I usually get them threaded but I was tired of the pain associated with it. I guess this was a sign to continue to get my eyesbrows threaded. I will end on a good note and say everyone was very nice and the store was clean!

My consultant was so helpful in finding the perfect makeup that would match my skin tone. I left with a full bag of items and will definitely be going back.

Drove 30 minutes, excited to go into Ulta and never had such horrible customer service in any other Ulta before until today when I visited this Ulta for the first time.Employees only talked amongst themselves, didnt see anyone of them ask a customer looking around if they needed any help or had any questions.I asked one of the employees if they had a product I was looking for, she didnt make any eye contact nor bother actually check or ask anyone of her coworkers, said shook her head no and walked away.When it came to paying, the cashier asked for my number, charged me, instead of handing my bag to me in my hand she drops it over the register onto the counter and just handed me my receipt. No have a good day or anything.I love Ulta but never would I recommend this store, I would much go to a different store with better customer service.This is also the first time I write a review to a store, resturaunt, etc. only because I would never waste my time writing reviews but because I love shopping at Ulta and hate the customer service.

I go there for the salon. They do a great job with color and keratin treatments. The makeup department and the rest of the store is crowded with product in the aisles, making it difficult to navigate.

The person that tried to assist me informed me that a product did not exist and did not even bother to look it up. If your going to work in a specialty section, know your specialty products! Very disappointed!

Hair color selection is minimal, which is why I visited BUT they have just about everything else you can imagine for your skin & hair. Employees super helpful and friendly!

Would have given a 5 star rating bc I frequent this location and have always had great service. during my last visit, I was followed by the security guard. He was not discreet about it either, I purposefully moved aisle to aisle just to prove to myself that he was following me. Older African American guy. And from reading the commments here, this has happened before. I’m sure it’s the same guy bc the other security officers never gave me any problems. Might I add, I am a diamond member, so I spend LOTS of money here. This security guard needs to go or I will not come back. I never felt so harassed in my life!

Have visited this location a few times and I am not pleased at all. I will stick with Sephora. If you come to a store and stand in line at customer service and need help finding a particular product the cashier/associate should point and state over the item is that way. In addition every black person does not steal. I notice security will watch every African American move but don’t pay the Caucasian people no mind. Even though Sephora stays packed the service is exceptional and they will continue to get all my money-in store and online. At this specific location I tried to give them benefit of the doubt but if I could give them one star that is hollow that is what they would receive. In addition I asked an associate if they could call a nearby if there’s to see if they had the item in stock since they didn’t she wanted to keep offering me products not for my skin type, and seemed as if she just didn’t want to call. And she never called a nearby store if there’s I ended up leaving and googling a nearby store, and calling myself. They didn’t have it in stock but guess who did? Sephora! And they kindly held one until I got there. Not pleased with customer service at Ulta. Maybe it’s just this location but after 4 visits I refuse to keep giving them chances to take my money!

Ill first say that I Love Ulta Beauty! On this particular visit I was a bit disappointed though! I called the location to make sure they had the Nexxus Humectress shampoo, since it was on sale. The rep informed me it was in stock, so I asked that they hold a few bottles as I was coming to purchase it. When I got there, the reps at the register did not have my bottles and was unsure of who took my call. Long story short, they only had 1 bottle, which was disappointing because I requested three. I now know that I cant rely on them to put things on hold. Waste of gas as I traveled 20 minutes to get to the store!

Love this store. Picked up the Smashbox Photo Finish Minimize Pores Primer at 50% off. Got an Ulta brand highlighter and two ABH lip glosses.
