My family and I spent the past couple mornings fishing here. Ike was as friendly as they come. He gave us some great tips for fishing from the pier. My kids caught a handful of mangrove snappers. He also spent two mornings trying to track down a drag knob that I needed for my reel. He allowed me to try one off a reel he had, but it didnt work. After making numerous phone calls, he found another local shop that had one and made arrangements for me to pick it up. This was something he didnt need to do. Great customer service. The kids also loved the selection of ice cream bars he has. We will continue to visit his shop on our yearly vacations.

Always very endearing when I come here to sight see or fishing.I was invited to watch theSpace- SHUTTLE Launch while making a purchase.So, I abandoned my Purchase and went ouside as the Store Owner Pointed in direction of the Space-ShuttleI NEVA was more Pleased with Mankind !

Visited this bait shop...the guy was soo rude...I bought 2 dozen shrimp and ask for some more water and was told if I wanted some more I could get it from the river myself. If I had not paid for it with a debit card I would have told him he could keep the bait and left. Needless to say Ill never go there again. If youre a US Veteran dont spend your money at this bait shop.

Nice place little place,and by little I mean that. I would say he needs a better selection but the shrimp were lively though so thats a plus.

Ive always wondered about this place. My friends son has been going there for a few years now. I decided to stop in and grab some bait. Upon entering the store I was greeted with a smile and helped with my selection on frozen squid shrimp and mullet. Not too bad on the price and the bait was fresh frozen. I got the feeling they do a decent bit of buisness to boaters. I would return here for bait but not for the fishing pier.

Tried to buy shrimp and a cast net at 640 am. Said they werent open yet. Worker said I had to wait till 7 because he wasnt set up and he didnt make the rules. I was willing to pay cash. Left without buying anything. As a business owner I would never turn away a cash sale.

Great place to fish, and bait shop is ok, you can get a slice of pizza or hot dog if hungry. Drinks and other snacks sold. Alot if different bait to choose from, live or frozen. Tons of leaders and wieghts and other fishing gear there to purchase. Boat and canoe dock to launch off of.

Always love coming to the pier with my family and pup to fish. The employees at the shop know their stuff so we can always catch something when we go. Its worth the hour+ drive just to enjoy the atmosphere.

This place is great. The owner is awesome. They have a little bit of everything you could need from frozen/live shrimp to weights to rulers to sand poles. Its also very convenient next to the bathrooms and at the base of the bridge and the base of the pier that goes underneath the bridge.

The man that helped us was very nice and helpful with our questions. We returned twice because of his friendliness! Recommend !!!

Sad to say, never have had good luck here. Everytime Ive been in this establishment the employees or whoever is working always have an attitude.You ask about the shrimp and they say we got the best Went in yesterday for example: asked how shrimp was to young lady behind counter, there good. Got 50 shrimp. Maybe 5 were 3 rest were sinks in 1-2 range. For $14 and change. I even tipped the young lady thinking the shrimp were good. BOY WAS I WRONG. NEVER will I be back. What a Shame I have to drive 10 miles to get good shrimp!!!

Ordered two dozen of shrimp and got 18 all babies, not cool. Bait shack on main Street on point.

This place is great!!!! Very small, but has everything you need. Ask for Maria. Or just hope that shes working. She is so knowledgeable and very patient. We were visiting from out of town and arent frequent fishers. She explained everything to us and just sold us what we needed. We went home and caught fish right away using her tips!!

Great place, good services, brand new pier, the snapper bite was on, we had our limit easy. Very clean place.

Filthy place. Bad person runs this place. Sells hot food, no License or Health Dept certs. Breaks several codes and City lets him get away with it. (Leases the building from City) It wont let me give less than one star! But I feel that would be the correct rating.

Kinda small but this is usually the second place we shop if our main store is closed. They stay open to good hours and have good pricing on shrimp for fishing.

Pier was being repaired but we still enjoyed it. Even though it was very cold that morning.

Its a dirty little place but if all you want is bait (live shrimp) then you are in good shape. I wouldnt get snacks here, they do have sodas and water.

Ask for Maria! If youre knew to fishing or just need to know what bait to use on the river she can set you up. She helped my family catch tons of stuff and showed us how to use our gear.

Lady in her 30s, I think, turned me off to going here. She acts like its a hassle when you walk and the door and gives you a bunch of attitude. Young man that works there is friendly and never have a problem with him but its a pain to try and catch the right person working.
