From the family that owns and runs the business to every contractor they sent to do work they were professional, courteous, on time and performed excellent work at very fair prices. We did a complete remodel of our kitchen and the work is impeccable. They were supportive of our decisions while providing appropriate guidance to insure the final product not only met our expectations but looks beautiful! All while respecting our budget needs. This is the third time we have used Zelmar for remodeling our home. First came the kitchen, then the master bath, and now we finished the house by replacing all the floors and remodel of the guest bath. Each job was done professionally with beautiful workmanship. In our case, it was a 1st floor project that included our kitchen, full bath, and floor tiling.Zelmar is a family-owned business – Zeljko and his two sons, Milan and Aleks – and it showed in every aspect of the project. From our first design session with Zeljko through completion of the renovation, our home project was treated as if it were their own homes. That is a differentiator with the competition and a rarity!We could not be more pleased with our new kitchen, bathroom, and 1st floor tile flooring. The trade professionals (artisans) who worked on our project were at Zelmar’s referral and were outstanding. The quality of workmanship was excellent, on time and within budget. From start to finish Zeljko, Aleks and Milan have been absolutely amazing! We had our kitchen remodeled and 1800sq ft of tile installed. The design that Zeljko completed was stunning. The colors, material and style that Aleks helped us choose are perfect and Milan was absolutely amazing with the scheduling and communication on the timeline of the renovation. Professional yet friendly, Zelmar willingly worked within our budget for two bathroom remodels, which turned out beautifully. Late in 2019 my husband and I decided to undertake a huge remodeling project that included the kitchen and four bathrooms as well as replacing tile flooring throughout the entire home. After a rigorous selection process we chose Zelmar Kitchen Designs and what a great decision that was. From day one to the very end Zeljko and his team have accepted us into their family and guided us through the process. We lived in the house through the entire remodel process along with our teenage son, 2 dogs and 2 cats. The entire crew was compassionate, understanding, and patient.The demolition process started in mid-February, so needless to say, the bulk of the remodel was taking place as COVID-19 was sweeping through the country throwing lives into chaos. Somehow, Zeljko and Milan were able to move the project along with minimal delays and schedule changes. Communication was impeccable and we were constantly appraised of the status.I recommend Zelmar wholeheartedly and without hesitation.

So I am not quite through with the finishing touches on the kitchen decor but wanted to share what an amazing job Zelmar Kitchen Designs did on my kitchen remodel. I almost passed on buying this home because of the original kitchen but I decided to proceed with the purchase and look into remodeling the kitchen. I quickly called Zelmar for help. Zelko came out immediately and went to work on a redesign. I was completely amazed at how quickly he came up with a plan. Zelko, Milan & Aleksandar Markovic were efficient at putting that plan into action. Whats even more valuable is that they were right by my side for all the difficult design choices. I I know this kitchen would not have come out this beautiful without all their input. Now I love being in my new kitchen. I specifically sought out this family owned company because I wanted someone to manage a kitchen and two bath remodel while we were out of town. I also do not really trust a lot of these fly-by-night subcontractors. While the work Zelmar did in designing the kitchen cabinets and baths was solid, every single one of their sub-contractors (who were highly recommended, each being the best according to Zelmar), was nothing but disappointed.The tile guy claimed it was the plumber who left nicks and scratches in the new ceramic tile. The tile guy also claimed the shower doors were not put in correctly, thus they were leaking (turned out he did not grout properly).The glass and mirror people just picked up our shower enclosure today because the glass was not tempered.The sink seller asked us about our use and then said that she believed we had a defective sink. Then we never heard from her again. We contacted Zelmar and when they finally talked to her it turns our they are all positive that we did something to the sink to stain it (stainless steel sink used approximately 6 weeks in the course of a year. We do not juice, we do not pour things down the sink, we do not put food in the sink. We simply wash pre-cleaned dishes using Dawn dish soap.).The handyman charged us an outrageous amount to paint to bathrooms. I am positive the increase in price was due to the fact that he burned out our $2K LED light and had to buy us a new one.Zelmar seems to think I should not have paid them (Zelmar) for the cabinets if I was not happy with the subcontractors. HUH? Last I checked subcontractors do not think twice about putting a mechanics lien on a property for non-payment.I also heard that a lot of the problems (or hiccups as they called them) were due to the fact that I was outside their normal service area. Whatever.
