I had a flat tire and they got me in that same day and had the new tire ordered and installed within a decent time frame. Everywhere else I called barely picked up the phone and couldn’t get me in until later in the week. Everyone was very professional and they even checked my other tires to ensure there weren’t any issues.

This was my first time taking my car to Tuffy in Orland Park 7900 W 159th and Brian was so thorough and patient explaining everything I needed. He was so professional and pleasant and he made me feel so comfortable. He didn’t rush me out of the shop or off the phone with my thousands of questions and concerns about my car. I have been taking my car here for many years. Many times they told me I didn’t need an expensive repair just a minor issue. Recently I took my car in to get it wired for my pop up camper lights and they called me and told me I already had the wiring and there was no charge. They have always been honest even if it means not making money. They will have my business for as long as I’m driving a car.

Extremely easy to make my appointment. Service was extremely quick. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I was very impressed with how quickly and easily it was to get my car serviced. Staff were very good about giving me an estimate of charges and did not exceed estimate. Waiting area was very clean and had many amenities, coffee, soft drinks water plus tv. I highly recommend this business.

I was traveling over an hour to look at, and possibly purchase, a used car, so on Friday, 3/12/21, I called Tuffy to inquire about having a used car inspection done on Saturday, 3/13. Brian very clearly explained my two options for inspection, and told me that they would be happy to work me in, all I needed to do was call and give them a heads up on Saturday.I called around 10:30 to let them know I would be there within an hour, and James reiterated that they would work us in. The inspection process was comprehensive—we chose the full inspection with hook up to computer to check for diagnostic codes—and done in a timely manner. James clearly explained that we had a good, sound used car and that if the dealer didn’t replace the few bulbs that were out we were welcome to bring it back to him to get them done.We finalized our purchase and went back to Tuffy for replacement of five light bulbs and a top off of the brake fluid. Despite being very busy when I walked in, they worked me in again, and I was out of there in short order for a reasonable price.I would definitely recommend this helpful, honest, and fair shop to do your auto repairs.

Their work is good but pricey. They wouldnt allow me to apply a coupon that I received in an email for signing up.

When I had my alignment done they said it was good. Somehow, it was still pulling to the left. I hit the curb and ruined my rim so bad and nearly ran into another car. When I told them, they said they would let the boss know, but they never got back to me. I would really look into other businesses before going here. They are very shady motherfudgers. Stay away.

What a wonderful family owned service. I was on a time crunch and after a horrible experience with another mechanic shop, Tuffy was by far the most honest and time sensitive place to take my car. Not only did they continue to test drive the car to check the work they had done on the car, they had it done in time for me to drive home. They are honest people, trying to service cars for their community.

Nothing but awesome service!! Not only were they able to get me in the same day I called, they had 2 people work on my car and had the work done in less than 2hrs. This place is great. They do a great job, manager is very friendly, and they always have coupons. The best part is their waiting room which is set up like a lounge. Have been taking my vehicles to this shop for about a year now after a recommendation from a family member and this shop does good quality honest work. They tell it like it is and if you need something they will tell you... If you dont they will tell you that too vs. other shops that will try to claim you need a completely new vehicle rebuilt by them. James at the front desk treats each customer like family as well as the rest of his staff. Mechanics are friendly and are willing to take you into the shop and actually show you the problem needing to be repaired and they will explain why it needs repair vs other shops that claim you need something but never show you whats wrong. One of the mechanics is from the Nissan dealer down the street and has worked on Nissans most of his life, so theres a great example in this case of having mechanics that are right from the Stealership down the street only in this case working for a fraction of the cost at this shop so why take your car to the dealer? This familys modo that runs this franchise is honesty is the best policy and that is the truth in the auto repair industry. Good trustworthy mechanics are hard to find and when you find one you stick with them. No more dealer for me, I am bringing all of my vehicles to this shop from now on.

I needed new front brake pads and rotors. My auto dealership estimated an expensive price. After researching and looking up reviews on auto service centers, I came to Tuffys for the first time and they estimated a much better price. It is family owned. James and Jim were helpful and honest. I will update in a couple weeks regarding the brakes but as of now I will be coming back for future services on my vehicles.Edit: Brakes were good. Had another service 3/13/21. I needed alignment and James said they only did the front alignment as my back didnt need one. I appreciate the honesty and will be coming back for future auto services. So I had an issue with losing power (due to a faulty wire) and after days of racking my brain I decided it’s time to get a professional. It was late on a Saturday when my car got towed to tufts, they had it up and running by the end of the next business day! Sam had also showed me some other odd issues going on that could effect the safety of my vehicle, by far one of the nicest mechanics I’ve ever met! everyone there was super friendly and super helpful with all my questions! 10/10 will go again if I have any other issues!

I am really astonished at some of the reviews. Sam, James and the entire staff are the most honest, trustworthy mechanics I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with and Im in my 60s. I will never go anywhere else, nor will my daughters who also go there. They are so professional and pricing is cheaper than other places by far. I feel like family there and trust my own family to be taken care of there.

Taken three of my cars here for the past several years since Sam and his family took it over from corporate Tuffys. I have had minor and major repairs and maintenance and they have been fair and straightforward about any work/repair that are needed. They will even show the parts that were fixed/replaced so you can see what was causing the issue when you pick up the car. The most honest mechanics that I have ever dealt with and have earned my business over these years. I have recommended them to all my friends and family and have heard nothing but excellent from anyone who had taken their car here. Highly recommend them to anyone.

We were in town over the weekend for a VB tourney and my alternator went out. They got me in first thing on Monday morning and we were on the road by 10am. Very friendly service. The price was what I expected. They knew we were headed back to St. Louis as soon as they were done so they topped off the fluids and checked the tire pressure for me. Stellar service! These guys were very professional and excellent in replacing my car tires. They worked within our schedule and charged us very reasonably.

Usually I take my car for an oil change to the dealer but I got an advertising slip in the mailFrom these guys with a good price, and because this shop is on my way, I stopped and changed it here. Big mistake . The following day a warning light was on my dashboard. Went to dealer to check it out and found that it was because the engine oil was very low ?! . These people almost screwed up my engine by not putting enough oil. I guess a cheap deal is not always the best deal.

This place was recommended by a friend . Went in for an oil change . All good till the next morning when I found a huge engine oil stain on my driveway. These incompetents didnt close the nut from underneath all the way. I felt I was rushed out of there .. Probably because they are busy, they do things in a hurry. Is not all about the friendly attitude, is about doing the job right. My driveway is ruined now and was redone a year ago.

The people here are racists, rude and dishonest and probably all these good reviews are fake or written by their own families and friends.You will read a story about how these honest people took 460$ from me instead of 260$ as they initially quoted me.If I could, I would have gave them 0 stars . Here is my story ....Went in for rear brakes pads and resurfacing rotors. Their price was 180$ out the door. I asked them to also change the oil for 20$.Because the good prices that I thought they have, I also asked Joe, the son of the owner, to take a look at a potential oil leak that I had.They looked, he brought me under the car and showed me 2 small hoses that were leaking. I asked how much would cost to fix that as well and Joe called his father and asked him.Father, the owner, said it will be extra 50$ . Joe said they will do everything for 260$ ( 180$ brakes, 20$ oil change and 50$ leaks).I agreed and after 3 hrs of waiting, when I was about to pay the bill, price jumped to 460$ !!!!One by one, the owner, the son and and other mechanics that works there, all ganged up against me saying that they all heard when I was quoted 460$. Guess what, none of them were present when Joe quoted me...Owner started insulted me saying that I didnt understand what they quoted me because I dont speak english ! . Yes, English is my second language and I am an immigrant, but Im not deaf neither stupid and as you see my english is more than fine, probably better than his.He said that he will take the extra 200$ that Ill pay and will wipe his a%$& with them. !I ended up calling police, but in vain, because officer said is a civil matter and I should take it to court.I never had such experience in my entire life, I never wrote such long and bad review.If you must go there, ASKED THEM TO GIVE YOU THE QUOTE IN WRITING . This was the worst experience Ive ever had and the worst customer service I received.And when I think about how nice I was talking about them with other customers, in the waiting area, about the family business felling I had when I walked in, I regret it now with every cell of my body. I hope the extra 200$ he took from me and my family, will give him the biggest rash on the spot he wants to wipe....

My sister brought her car here to change a tire. When she picked the car up the passenger window was down and would not roll up. They claimed it was brought in that way, BUT it was the middle of a snowstorm! Why would she have her window all the way down with a window down? They let her take it away in a snowstorm with nothing covering the window. Not even plastic. Poor customer service.

A truly honest mechanic, took my car in because I thought my engine was about to explode, turns out all I needed was an oil change for a 23 $ nothing extra!

I will never again go to these crooks again. I went in to get a simple oil change and a antifreeze leak looked at i was charged for them to do nothing but look at my car. So i get the receipt and its says they charged me for parts that they didnt provide and labor they didnt do. Then i get my car back and items are missing!!! From my car so i go in to speak with the manger who tells me we dont steal they get paid very well to do there job along with his son telling me how do we know youre not lying and just dont wanna pay the bill which i had already paid. This place is racist, rude, and the employees are liers and thieves..

I had a coupon for a $40 oil change and they said ohh well itll actually be $55 due to the amount of oil and etc. I get the same thing done at the dealer ship for $45. Never again will i go here

I went in to get my car worked on to pass the emissions test at this location, and they told me of a bunch of extra work that was needed on the car including a water pump. I didnt have the money to get the work done, and I never did. That was two years ago, and none of what they said needed to be replaced ever had any problem or was ever noted as needing repair or replacement by any other auto repair shop Ive been to since that day. I havent been to a Tuffy since, and I will never give them my business again. I do not trust them.

Most honest oil/mechanic I have ever been to.

Web site says open at 7:30. Waited 10 minutes, but store still dark. Had to drive away. I wasted time off work trying to be first in line to spend my hard earned money at this store. Alas they will never get it.

These guys are crooks, specially the owner Sam which is unprofessional and does not respect the customers with his bad mouth and there shady work . They try to charge the customers more than the dealer and when they know that your knowledge about your car and prices they try to argue with you and disrespect you . I called the head quarter and I filed a claim already on these crooks .
