Very poor customer service. I needed help with shoes and had to go to the front several where five employees were chatting. I had a list of things to buy but I gave up.Is was so hard to get help that I had to help one of the employees get an item down the stairs. The employee couldn’t even get help from his coworkers. That’s ridiculous.Aside from that, inventory is small and prices are a little high unless on sale. The sales are usually decent for non-name brand items.

They didnt have what I was looking for but the staff was attentive and helpful. They said they would get a shipment in the next couple days. Its been a very long time since Ive been here but it seems like they got a lot of great stuff.

No customer service whatsoever. Went to look for shoes...no one ever approached us to see if we needed help. We had several pairs that we would of liked to try. After waiting for about 20 minutes...we decided to leave. As we were walking out an associate asked if we were ready to check out. That was the extent of interaction with employees there.

I came into big 5 and I bought a Coleman 6 person tent that was on sale but said that all the parts were in there and that it was fine.When I got to Zion I noticed that one of the poles was broken and we had to tent with another person.When I came in today and tried to exchange it James was super uncomfortable to work with and was unpleasant about the situation. He had me exchange it and still charged me for the difference of the tent. Which was at most $30. Super inconvenient I guess I did take the risk of purchasing something on sale.

Todays visit was perfect. Our visits are always perfect. Associates are quick to ask us what we need and go the extra mile to answer our questions. Today one particular store did not have the size hunting boot I needed so he proactively reached out to another store and put the size I needed on hold. Store was fine, layout was organized, a bit pricey but not terrible. Customer service was non-existent. My mom (Latino woman) asked for help with a purchase to see if they had another fishing reel, their response was everything is out so if we do its there. Whereas when a Caucasian man asked for help they called over the intercom and someone walked him over to help him.

We came in looking for one pair of shoes for my hard-to-fit husband. We came out with four! Great deals on clearance items. Helpful with both products and pricing. Very friendly. Had to leave quickly before finding more awesome deals! Couldnt be happier!

Went to Big 5 in Orem, UT, checked outside to see if they mandated the use of a face mask. Outside there was a clear sign asking customers to wear a mask, so wore a mask. When I walked in, the lady by the counter told me I had to wear a mask, and I clearly showed her I was wearing a mask. Then, this extremely rude and insulting employee, Richard Dalton, butted in, and told me to use a mask, and pointed out that he was not wearing a mask, and told me that if I should go shopping somewhere else. I dont believe anyone has to be treated that way, and Mr. Richard Dalton needs to be properly trained in customer services, and taught basic manners. Big 5, I did take my business somewhere else, thanks to your rude employee, Richard Dalton (assuming he told me his real name).

We stopped here during our travels; the same Big 5 bargains were use to but not the same friendly staff! The employees were more interested in chatting together than working. Even when we asked where we could find something we were told it should be over there with a point in the general direction; were use to employees taking you to whatyoure looking for and actually assisting the customer.

My husband will love sleeping on the Coleman Trailhead II cot instead of the ground! .....Edit...Just got back from camping and these cots were fabulous! They hold bigger heavier people, 300lb limit. And we slept so much better!

Went in today explained that I was exempt from wearing a mask due to medical reason and was told I could not enter the store. If you are looking for last seasons styles, this is the place! Tennis, water sports, basketball, all nestled in what looks to be a rustic lodge. While trying on shoes I noticed some interesting stains and discoloration on the shoes. Not sure how that happened because literally no one is ever in there. If you want anything sports related that is less than 5 years old look elsewhere.

Im giving 5 stars because they have good sales and try and stay up on most product lines the carry. Its worth getting on an email list to see different items that go on sale. Ive made some great finds. When you dont want to drop an arm and a leg on camping gear its nice to go in and look around. Plus every once in awhile the ammo can be cheaper here.

The customer service is great at this location. The employees are courteous and helpful.Their pricing and return policy are also great. I bought some soccer cleats here and realized they were too small after I played a game in them. Bought a Kayak and paddle for decent quality and price but when they tried helping me load it in my SUV, the worker shut the hatch too hard and cracked my windshield.... Its cool that they were willing to help, but why is it every mans reaction when something doesnt fit to just push harder? It just needed to be tilted up on its side and it had wiggle room after that. Even if it didnt fit, I couldve gone back in and bought some tie downs for the hatch. The windshield had a large crack across the bottom and another on the drivers side (nowhere near this new addition) so I was planning to replace it before the winter; That is the only reason Im only mildly irritated.Still excited about the Kayak, just bummed I need a new windshield sooner than I had planned. I will patiently wait for my roof rack apparatus to arrive in the mail for my next kayak/paddle board purchase.

We went looking for football cleats. Very little selection to choose from. When we were interested in finding a different size, it took some time to find someone working there to assist us. When I finally did he walked over, he said they only had what was out-no other sizes-and walked away. There were other people looking at shoes who were completely ignored. Just after that the shoe department received a call, where the employee I spoke to and another walked in the back together without acknowledging any of the people hoping to get help.Ive shopped here several times, very rarely is it easy to find someone to assist you, but these employees had zero interest in doing their job.

Amazing sporting goods store thats a hidden gem in Orem.Why didnt I find this place earlier? The equipment is top quality and the prices are nearly impossible to beat. In fact, the prices are so good you wont feel guilty about picking up a set of wooden boat paddles just in case even if you dont have either a canoe or rowboat... because you never know when you might need them right?Check out their rotating weekly sales when you you can get killer deals on everything. If you dont see it on sale, check back next week or better, sign up for their email alerts and get the jump on everyone else before all the good paddles are taken.

I was actually pretty blown away when I first walked in the doors. The Big 5 near me in Sandy, I have always loved going to and the staff has been awesome. When I went to this Big 5 in Orem, I could not believe how large it was, and what an amazing selection of everything there! I even found the old play ground jump ropes with the hard beads so my kids could learn double dutch! Cheaper than buying them online. I was very happy with my experience at Big 5 in Orem.

Big 5 Sporting Goods is a great store with great hospitality, they also have a great selection of indoor and some outdoor sporting goods and shoes.

I could just spend my entire paycheck here but with their newsletter and daily coupons, fortunately I wont have to spend all my money. This is where begginers go to get started with their outdoor adventuring. If you want the expensive brand name stuff then you probably wont find it here, but if you want affordable equipment that will work just fine and get you out there, then this is your go-to place.

Not enough bmx of quality stuff but all I needed was a pump that could pump over 100 psi and they had one gdpr 150psi. Around 35 bucks, so not bad.
