Daniel, the manager is a very respectful man who values his up customers. They are very honest and will be upfront with you. I love what they did to my car. A shout out to the lady diagnostician whom I don’t know her name. I just put in a service request on-line not knowing what to expect. This lady came to my house to diagnose the vehicle and told me all the things that were wrong. I was impressed and towed my car there for repairs and I am glad I did. Try them because for me honesty, expertise and treating customers with respect made all the difference.

Be aware that this facility (Orange, CT) does not rebuild transmissions. Save your money on towing cost and diagnostics if you need a transmission rebuild.When my transmission went on my car I called 3 shops for estimates. I wanted the worst case estimate, which would be to rebuild the transmission. Two shops provided estimates for a rebuild but emphasized it could be less depending on their diagnostics, which made sense. AAMCO of Orange CT would not provide an estimate. They said they would need to diagnose the car before they can provide a quote...even are few attempts to get a quote for a transmission rebuild they refused to give me one until the car is diagnosed. I asked several times.After much thought I decided to get my car towed to AAMCO because they are advised as the transmission experts and because I was looking for a nation wide warranty. The first call I received was to tell me that my transmission didnt work and they would want to take the oil pan off to take a look. I agreed after I was told that the issue could be as simple as the transmission filter could have fallen off. I was charged $150 for an hour of labor to remove ~12 bolts that are easy access. The issue was bigger then their initial assessment and recommended a new or used transmission. Upon hearing their recommendation I requested to have my transmission rebuilt and THATS when I was informed that they dont rebuild transmissions. I was furious. Had I known that they dont rebuilds I would not have considered taking it to this shop. So I had to pay another tow to get my car out of there.Im giving them 1 stars for their lack of transparency on the capabilities of facility. Not to mention the shop name is missleading. When I called I specifically asked a quote for a transmission rebuild and they had several times to be upfront that they didnt do rebuilds. Looking back I can say that I got the sleazy car sales man experience. They talked me into bringing my car in to their shop. They even tried to convince me that I was better off with an used transmission that had double the mileage than mine....and how rebuilds are not good.

Amazing job. Had my transmission replaced and the entire time I felt as if my car was definitely in the right place. The entire staff was super friendly and I got constant updates on how far along the replacement process my car was in. Time will tell how well the transmission holds up but so far so good my car runs like new again. Thanks for the great work guys!

Pros-Technicians came to the house in a timely manner. Customer service was knowledgeable about scheduling, pricing and courteous. So far the transmission is working well. Cons- Long wait time to perform service, but in their defense my suv was being serviced during the holiday period and during the pandemic

Went there to get a diagnosis! Daniel got me in ASAP and was very nice and professional! Even after I missed his callbacks the first couple times.He got together what I needed, reasonably priced part, and time to repair, and the team got it done first thing in the morning.Also glad I didn’t walk out of there spending $3,000 :).

They were very helpful and did my diagnostic for free, I later came back and had them flush my transmission and change my serpentine belt. They gave me a good price and finished the work in a short time. I would go back without hesitation for future work.

I went to aamco originally because they had a free diagnostic. They then diagnosed it and gave a fair price. So when my car had more trouble I knew I could go there and Daniel would treat me right and be straight and honest with me. I would recommend aamco to anyone.

Daniel, the manager, is so kind and compassionate. He really cares for his customers and their best interests. And the mechanics are so informative and honest. They patiently explain in minute detail every fix they’re making. A truly refreshing experience all the way around.

Toyota dealer quoted total transmission replacement. I called AAMCO of Orange for a second opinion. They towed the car for free the same day and told me my left rear axle was broken. The broken axle also caused damage to the rear differential. AAMCO repaired the vehicle at half the cost. Daniel the service manager kept me informed along the way. Great experience - I’m taking my other cars here for repairs.

They send you a Lyft home if your car needs to stay overnight for work. I just went to Aamco in Orange they did a fantastic job on my car as they have always done before! I needed to have new bulbs replaced for my car and brakes and they did a great job on both. Daniel the manager excellent customer service skills handled my questions and concerns with ease. Allain and Collin did a tremendous job with fixing and getting my car back on the road! Highly recommend seeing these guys, I appreciate their honesty!

STAY AWAY! I currently have a claim in with the BBB to get my car fixed. Paid $3600 for a rebuilt transmission in January 2020. It blew again less than one year later, 19,000 miles. Garbage! When asked if they could do something they refused but of course recommended another $3600 transmission. Screw you! Stay Away!

There mechanic so you know what it is. I do believe they unplug the battery and say .your service engine light off. Trust. And dont do what they, say they did.

I have a 2000 jaguar s type with 50k on it. The car is very clean but to replace a transmission was my worst nightmare. You start to think that the value of the car is less than its worth to do. The Aamco team really did a great job of keeping the price down and working through the process. I feel like they rescued my jaguar from the salvage yard and now I have a 3 year warranty for some piece of mind as well. Thank you to the orange team for all your hard work.

Professional & very helpful

Brought my car in to have the transmission rebuilt and taken care of. Pretty straight forward, told them what the issue was,they told me what it needed and i accepted the repairs. Now im two weeks in after several delays (which i understand and figured would happen) but the communication is horrible. I have to call,sometimes 6 or 7 times and even then rarely get a response to get updates on my car. Then im told it hasnt been started or that ill get my car this day or that day. If i the customer dont call id show up and find my car nowhere near done. Going on week three and lets see where it ends up. People are great and im sure they do good work but they do not try to communicate or update their customers at all.
