The staff was extremely helpful and really friendly. 10/10 recommend. I purchased a surfboard travel bag, 2 leashes and a sock.

This will be my go to board shop from now on. I went in recently for the first time and was really impressed. Relatively new to the area and had gone to various other local shops for things here and there, they all seem ok, but something about Surf Ride felt like that personal touch that you cant mass produce. They have a great inventory and are super helpful getting you exactly what you want. The resident dog is adorbs too.

Ive been trying to get into riding shorter boards and the board he sold me was perfect. Ive been riding it every day since I got it and couldnt be happier!!! Was love at first pop up

Great friendly staff!

I really like this shop for the size of board selection, used and new. They have just about all of the top board makers with some exotic selections as well as some longboards. Some clothes and accessories make this a good place to pop into every once in a while.Prices are a bit on the high side, hence 4 stars. But high rating for a shop that has a great selection of surfboards.

Got there 5 minutes before opening and they answered the door and made me wait outside. The clerk was also quite gruff with me. Very poor customer experience. Next time I will wait till Mitch’s opens.

The best surf shop you are ever going to find

The board selection is not really to my taste, but they have other gear and clothing here that works for me. Dont always find what I need, but there are some gems. Its more of an overall water sports store than a surf shop. As such, its a good place to come and check out. When Im driving up the coast looking for surf stuff, this is always on the list of places to stop.

Great store and love their Awayco board rental program to scope out what board I want to buy from them next. Easy to use service and super reasonable for a board rental on such a nice and expansive selection of rentals. Wish all surf shops offered the Awayco board rental service.

Its a giant surf shop on the side of the highway, parking is very limited, but this place is totally awesome. Huge selection of apparel.Keep an eye out for when they have sales, last time I went I walked away with some really good deals and a free hotdog!I bought my wetsuit from here and have loved it. Lots of wetsuits to choose from, and if you have the time and physical strength then you can try on as many as you want.

The location of this large store on the coastal highway is itself a big plus. High cost of lease on the coast usually discourages large stores with their wide selections. Surf Ride is an exception. Their boards span all price levels. From foam to inexpensive molded epoxy ($370 for a 77 board) to carbon fiber ($2K+).The staff is friendly too. An exponential increase in friendliness becomes apparent when you make it clear you are there to buy something. But overall, the store is great. They even take back boards that have been waxed and gently used for a couple of rides.

Always been one of my favorite shops in San Diego. The staff seems happy and always eager to help out. Seems to be friendlier than a lot of the shops and they have an awesome selection of Boards, Gear, Clothes.

This is a great surfboard shop with an amazing selection of surfboards, sccessories, and clothing at very competitive prices. The staff is amazingly friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and very professional. I have bought as few boards for me here and strongly recomend.
