Todd the owner and his staff are always so patient and helpful!I always find treasures here and have referred friends to come check it out.I almost dont want to post this review because this store is a hidden treasure! My husband and I are retired, and we realized it was past time to downsize to make our retirement easier and clutter free. Three years ago we started selling items we dont use anymore but are in great shape. After 3 years of selling, we realized that this process is taking up too much of our free time of traveling and having fun.My husband found Todd Stephensons company The Estate Sale Warehouse on the internet and it was the BEST thing we have done to make our life easier and more enjoyable! Todd is personable, honest, fair and has a great personality. We ended up selling approximately 4 rooms of furniture, silver flatware, crystal, suitcases, the list goes on and on. Todd gave us a fair price for all of it, wrote a check out the day that he came over to see what we had to sell. A few days later Todd and 5 of his guys (who were wonderful by the way), came out and loaded up everything we had for sale and took it away in about 45 minutes! The only regret I have is that we didnt find Todd three years ago when we were trying to sell things ourselves!

Todd was honest, upfront, and easy to work with. All the property he discovered in our relative’s large storage unit went up quickly on his website and he made it easy to track listings and sales. He was very diligent paying regularly on sales. He turned a big difficult project for out of state customers into a breeze and plenty of cash.I appreciate Todd’s ethic and professionalism, you will too.

For the initial visit, Todd was fully professional, was on time, and gave us a fair assessment. He was flexible on the date for pick up. When he came with a crew of six, they worked efficiently and neatly to pack up and move everything. They even swept up the dust that accumulated behind a cabinet and under a platform bed. My husband and I were amazed with the quality of their work. We give them our highest recommendation. They have made the work of downsizing and moving ever so much easier. We are breathing sighs of relief.

My wife and i have been customers at ESW for nearly 20 years. We have purchased cars, antique music boxes, tools, electronics, clothing, appliances and furnished most everything in our house from ESW. Their prices for gently used goods are a fraction of the retail cost which has allowed us to decorate beyond our means while staying within our budget. We visit ESW weekly during what we call our treasure hunt for special and unique items. Over the years we have become good friends with the owner Todd and staff members Linda and Tracy. We have always been treaty fairly and on a few occasions when an item was defective or not to our liking, we were able to return the item without so much as a question. We highly recommend ESW!

My husband and I have been shopping at Estate Sale Warehouse or the cow as it is affectionately called since moving to the area 7 years ago. As antique dealers and personal collectors we have bought such an incredible variety of items because of the high quality of merchandise and remarkably fair prices that Todd is able to offer. Not only does he run a great business but he is an honest and reputable person. I have referred his services to look at estates for friends on numerous occasions. Additionally what really makes it special is the warm and welcoming store staff starting with Linda and Tracy who always make us feel like family. Weve shared many laughs with these two woman, and when things have gotten tough, as life sometimes does, weve shared hugs and tears. Thats what I mean when I say they feel like family. ESW has been a part of the Oceanside community for 20 + years. You can feel the positive energy and sense of community they take pride in having and sharing. If you havent been there yet, you really should check it out. Just dont snag the piece I have my eye on before I can get to it! :)

This is an estate liquidation place, which means their inventory changes daily/weekly/monthly. If you dont find something you like/need/cant live without one day, go back another day/week/month. We have found fabulous finds here some days, while others, leave empty handed. Over the years, our finds include an old but lovely bird bath/fountain, a piano, a gorgeous pine hutch, and my favorite was the jackpot day they were liquidating extremely high quality bolts of silk upholstery/drapery material from a shop in Beverly Hills. I paid $6/yard for various silk embroidered materials I later saw priced as high as $200/yard online. I was able to make gorgeous drapes (100% silk!!) for all four bedrooms in my home at a fraction of the cost. This place rocks! We are lucky enough to live a few miles from here so it is a regular stop for us and the bonus is the folks who work there are a lot of fun and seem to love what they do. And, if you find something dated more than a month old, you can negotiate the listed price down, depending on how long the item has been there. Cant go wrong in my opinion, if you have the time to stop in every now and then.

Had the owner come look at some things I was going to sell. He was super rude to me on the phone when I first called him, rude to me when I walked into the shop, and rude to me and late when he finally showed up to look at my stuff. Then he said he would get back to me and never did. If you’re hoping to sell you stuff to this guy, just don’t bother.—————————Hi Todd. I also hope this is for the wrong business, but I don’t think it is. I don’t like leaving negative reviews and don’t typically find it worth my time. If there is a colossal misunderstanding on my end I would be more than happy to remove this from the ether. However, insinuating that I’m making this up is an amazing deflection for the consequences of your actions. My married name is Katie Kossak. I imagine you will find that in your appointment calendar. You came to a business in Escondido to look at my grandparents furniture. You said you would do a write up on the antiques and I never heard back from you. You were late showing up.Previous to that, I walked into your store just to see if I could talk to you about my items. You dismissed me before I even got a chance to talk to you. I wasn’t going to make a big deal because you obviously didn’t know why I was there, and I made a mistake by walking in the wrong door. You seemed busy and I didn’t need to interrupt. I was going to see you in a few days anyway. But the way you acted toward me on the phone before, during and after our encounters made me want to warn other people to not expect a warm or polite welcome. It was unprofessional to not get back to me in writing, to call accusing me of giving you the wrong address, which I didn’t, to be generally curt on the phone, and to blow me off in your store. It wasn’t an employee, it was you. You didn’t recognize me two days later when you came to our appointment, but I remembered you.I would have loved to sell you my stuff because I live very near your store and it could have been very simple to bring the antiques over. I do my best to support local business and I’m really sorry we couldn’t come to an arrangement.

I have worked with Todd and the ESW gang on two very different estates over the past two years, and it has been a pleasure both times. In a line of work where there are often disreputable people, Todd and his team stand out as something special in San Diego: professional, honest, efficient and knowledgeable. Things are tough enough when someone passes, but they make it easy to evaluate items, make sell/no sell decisions and get a home cleaned out FAST... Todd and ESW have my highest recommendation!

This is a great place to stop by often and browse. What it is not...thrift store priced merchandise. These are not fly off the shelf prices. The way I shop here is when I am wanting something, I check retail price first then I come here and if I find what I am looking for in great shape then it is like getting it on a good sale price that a retail store would offer. Junkier items are priced fairly cheap. The better the condition the higher price you are going to pay, Keep in mind these folks are BUYING these items, they are not DONATED, like the thrift stores get. So, that is worked into the price. But the unique things found here are RARELY found in a Thrift Store. Until you shop here on a regular basis it is hard to render an accurate judgment. The real deals here are when new or like new items are found they can be priced by half of retail. I bought a juicer in box never used for at least half of retail. I have bought crap board bookcases and stands here very inexpensively. I have bought nice framed artwork at moderate cost. I bought heavy duty stainless steel cookware fairly inexpensively. The fancier and better made furniture is not cheap but compared to what it would go for brand new its an inexpensive way to go. I enjoy this as a regular stop, its fun to see what dead folks had in their houses. Sometimes you will find stuff from fairly famous peoples estates. Some of the old stereo equipment can be higher end stuff and reflect great prices. Great place to spot vintage stuff. Taking in to consideration the location, cost to keep the lights on and everything else rolling I am glad to support it with a few buys now and then. I find these folks to be very fair but dont expect to be greeted at the door like your dog greets you. They are busy people but are generally a friendly bunch.

Ive been managing vacation rental properties here in Oceanside for 8 years. Estate Sale Warehouse is always my first stop and usually my only stop to find the furniture and décor I need to keep my rentals looking fresh and up to date. I may have to come back a few days or even weeks in a row to find what I need but eventually I always find what I set out for. The prices are exactly what Id expect to pay and that keeps my coming back.

Ive known Todd at Estate Sale Warehouse for 20+ years and have been a loyal customer for nearly as long. There are always amazing deals to be had and his prices are always more than fair. But why do I keep coming back day after day (sometimes twice a day), week after week, year after year? Because he is an honest businessman and he runs a tight ship; but most of all, Todds crew: Linda, Melanie, and Tracy and the mover-guys Rigo, Tanner, Matt, & Co., are incredibly customer service oriented multi-taskers and pay careful attention to detail when dealing with me as well as other regular customers, and new clients. They are genuine, good-willed, salt of the earth people who do there best to treat people how they would wanted to be treated (as if they themselves were on the other side of the counter), which isnt always easy to do as there are always those few customers whom you just cant do anything right by them no matter how hard one tries. No one is perfect, and everyone has their off-days...sometimes life deals us a seemingly unfair hand, but THIS is a STELLAR business staffed by a STELLAR crew! Ive got 40 years as an art & antique / modern design dealer in San Diego County and I pretty much know all the players and shops...I can only think of a couple of other businesses that I could honestly rate similarly. Much Aloha to the ESW crew...you guys ROCK!

I have been shopping/exploring/coveting/drooling over, items at Estate Warehouse for over the last 10 years. I usely dont post reviews and kinda dont want to tell everyone about this special place...but its such a cool unique store and theres plenty of items for everyone, so what the heck...Ill share:) Todd and Rick, the owners, purchase estates from all over Southern California and they bring back some amazing items at affordable prices.Ive purchased fine and funky art pieces, fine and funky furniture, appliances, electronics, garden art, plants, gym equipment, and even an amazing Ganesh soapstone statue...over 4 feet high (Rick personally delivered this very, very heavy piece to my home in Orange County and even helped place it in my yard).I can honestly say I have furnished almost my entire home...right down to the plates and crystal...from items purchased, over these many years, from Estate Warehouse. In fact, my husband and I alway joke that someday, when we pass away, it will all return back to Estate Warehouse...LOLOther reviewers have talked about their pricing, etc, so I wont repeat...just agree. Prices are great and fair based on the quality of the items...This is a very busy store, so dont expect too much individual attention, exactly at the moment you want it...be patient and they will get to you...again, its a busy place and they keep staff low to keep prices reasonable. Personally, I prefer the hands off approach, as I like to just wander around the store looking at all the cool stuff without some salesperson hanging all over me. All the staff have worked there forever and are like family to the regulars and do really care about their customers.I hope they stay in business forever!

Back in November I went way out on a limb and bought a 1950 Steinway grand piano, sight unseen, through Estate Sales Warehouse. As anyone can imagine, wiring a hefty five figure sum to complete the purchase was an occasion for some anxiety, but Todd Stephenson was totally professional, had all the details of the instruments history at his fingertips as well as a detailed inspection report from a properly credentialed piano technician. The logistics involved in moving an instrument that size are complex and involved two different movers, but Todd was there every step of the way and arranged things to perfection — really above and beyond, once even returning a phone call from a beach outing with his daughter. After a long trip across the country, the piano arrived two days ago and what a beautiful instrument — much better than I expected from the technicians report. I cant recommend Todd and ESW highly enough — absolutely honest and completely professional. You can shop there with confidence.Timothy GilliganFebruary 10, 2017

I havent shopped at or even visited this store, but had Todd Stevenson do a buyout of many of the accumulated possessions of my dear, recently-deceased mother. Our business arrangement was that I would eventually be paid 30% of the sum total of the prices of everything as set by Todd, regardless of if or when or for how much it finally sold. In the meantime, I was initially paid $1000 as a guaranteed minimum cut, to then be paid the difference after the items were sorted and prices totaled. Bottom line: Todd could afterward have paid me no additional money, claiming my cut never exceeded that first payment. Instead I received three additional payments for a final total cut of almost three times my guaranteed minimum. My experience is that Todd Stevenson is a man of honesty and integrity in business, who was thoroughly professional and pleasantly personable throughout our dealings. I absolutely recommend him and the Estate Sale Warehouse to anyone in the market for the types of services they offer.
