My muffler needed help and I thought of meineke. They made the appointment for the next business day and when I got there the woman who got me set up was so lovely. The mechanic was up front about what needed to get done and I felt comfortable enough to say yes Ill have it done here. Beautiful job. So happy that they may be my new mechanics! At the recommendation of a friend I went to a wheel alignment t place in Newark, NJ, on Broadway who claimed that my rack and pinion was no good, that I needed another one. I don’t know if they wanted to perform the job for a new rack and pinion but I made an appointment with Meineke - who charges a few dollars more - but a legitimate mechanic shop that has standards that are nationwide, and charge much less than a car dealership. I am so happy to spend a few dollars more with Meineke, not to end up spending over $1,000.00 for unnecessary repairs. I was taken care of by Dave and his crew and give the Meineke shop in North Arlington, NJ my highest recommendation in caring for my vehicle. Meineke in North Arlington, NJ did not try to take advantage of me. My car drives straight and they did not try to create work that the car never needed! They also looked at my brakes and told me I have about 5,000 more miles to go on the rears only - AND AGAIN DID NOT TRY TO MAKE PREMATURE OR UNNECESSARY REPAIRS. I brought my car in to have a running light fixed. A day later the light was out again. When I disputed the charge the owner replied with a letter saying that I had asked to replace the lightbulb and thats what they had done. At no point did I ask them to replace a bulb. I told them to fix the headlight. Two VERY different things...When I asked for a refund they told me to bring the car back. I live over 30 minutes away, WHY would I bring my car back to a place that already failed to provided the PAID-FOR services and then LIED about it. They then told me I needed new breaks and a flush. Based on other reviews it looks like this is their M.O in an attempt to get more money....what a grotesque way to run a business... Absolutely no professionalism or moral code. The owner William Penza should be ashamed...Will not be returning here.

I brought in my vehicle with no appointment with a loud exhaust system noise. I asked for an inspection of the system. They promptly checked the car and advised me of the necessary components in need of replacement. They also advised me of the price of needed repairs. I approved and the car was promptly repaired. I am happy with the results so far. The car is much quieter than when I brought it in. I subsequently brought the car for motor vehicle inspection and passed.Thank you to the crew at Meineke of North Arlington.

They did my car very well, however I had a very valid coupon that would have helped me out payment wise and I was told that they were “not going to honor the coupon” even though the coupon was valid, for that very specific location, and doesn’t expire till the end of the month. This was very frustrating!

They tried to charge me 2600 for a clutch and a starter, mind you I have a 2006 Honda Accord not a Porsche. My car started that morning I even drove it to the mechanic, when I went to pick up my car it did not start or drive I had to get it towed. The mechanic across the street from my house charged me 900 for parts and labor. I’ve done a lot of work at this place I wonder what else they ripped me off for.

It was half the price of the 2 other places I got an estimate at and I would definitely do business with them in the future

The Lady at the counter said i would need new break pads and rotors as well as oil and coolant change. she told me i had a coupon so will get the coolant replacement for 40$ off. and the total would come down to 800$ with everything. Then had me wait there for 4 hours because the parts didnt arrive. Then at last she put down that i refused the coolant which i had not and charged me $800 anyway was very angry and at the service will never go to another Meineke again. Went there again after the review had my air coolant, ac motor and catalytic convertor fixed. Happy so far.

I ordered tires through tire rack had them shipped free to this location had them put on and installed the employees here very friendly and professional tires where put on fast with excellent communication as to when it will be completed with great prices for the work performed.

The last 2 times that I have visited, I have had to call myself to check on the status of my vehicle. The customer service just does not give me a good vibe. They are pretty pricey also...will definitely weigh my options but will probably not visit again.

They said I needed front and rear brakes for $650.00 but didn’t hear one screach on the brakes when I stopped. My brakes stop right on the button and been getting oil changes at the correct time and no other place said I needed front and rear brakes. I have 20,000 miles on my car !!!!!!!!!

My exhaust system was loud and I took it to a mechanic. They quoted me 2K to replace the exhaust system, including the catalytic converter. I took it to Meineke and they were able to repair it much cheaper by changing the damaged muffler and a few pipes. The catalytic converter (the expensive part) didnt need to be changed afterall. The workers were extremely helpful and nice. They used a disposable towel to touch the interior of my car (anti-covid measure), which I was happy about. All around a great experience. Highly recommend.

Excellent service, quickly replaced my battery while I waited.

Went in for four tires to be mounted and balanced. I left that place with 4 damaged rims. After I showed them the damage, they of course refused to take responsibility. According to the owner, his tire machine is incapable of damaging rims. Very rude and unprofessional. Already opened up a claim and will be hiring an attorney to take them to court as well. This wrong needs to be righted due to their incompetence.

The entire crew is professional and polite. This level of service is reciprocated with each client that walks through their doors. I strongly recommend using this location for all your repair needs. If you have to drive miles away just to get a quality professional service at a reasonable cost- DO IT!!!!

You cant trust this shop! Damage the wheels ( all four of them!) Permanent deep scratches. Scott, the manager did not even told me until I inspected it before leaving the shop, good thing I did. They tried to polished it and remove the scratches but it didnt worked, how could it work, theyre very deep scratches! Scott offered to fix it in that shop but how can you trust him again?!!?? I complained to Tirerack and let see what will happenThey have to pay for the damages! I got all the pictures!!

I dont know much about cars, but theyve kept my car (2016 Kia Soul manual transmission) running so thats all I care about. They had some trouble diagnosing issues on an old car of mine (Saab 9-5 2002) but it was notoriously problematic anyway, and even the dealer had trouble with it.

Called ahead for a repair quote providing specific make/model info. Dropped my vehicle off a few days later. Service desk calls me to confirm work being done. Was roughly $200 above original price I was given. Mechanic also left my oil dipstick lying on the engine.

High prices and Low quality.I recently took my 2004 hyundai sonata there because it was shutting off while I was driving. Since nowadays is hard to trust in unknown mechanics, I took it to this place hoping that the brand Meineke, though is more expensive, it would at least solve the problem. But that wasnt the case.After telling me that they found the problem and repair it would cost me a lot, I decided to do it anyway. A day after they fixed my car, I had the exact same problem, it shut off while driving it. I took it again to this place, and after a day and a half of checking, they called me explaining that the car has another problem, and fixed would cost me another 900.After receiving that sassy call, I went to pick up my car, just to realize later that they even took the cover of my engine. This is the worst experience I have had with a mechanic, and I will never suggest a place to anybody.That was my experience, if you still want to try do it at your own risk, you have been warned.

For somethings such as exhaust they are very reasonable. But other things not so, for example they told me 500 for a tuneup. I know my car is a little harder to because Ive done it myself but not that much harder. Always ask for an estimate.
