Good selection for most home improvement needs, especially for plumbing and electrical supplies. Tool selection is not that great, and what they do carry is primarily off brand, in-house, or lower tier names. Some of their lawn/garden tools are decent, though. I wont even consider buying electricians tools at Menards.Their rebates suck—you only get store credit. Just give me an actual discounted price or an actual rebate with cash value. The 11% rebate on everything sale has been running almost continuously this year, but most items are at full mark-up, which is a worse deal than simply waiting for a sale price any other time. Last gripe about rebates: you cannot submit online, but you can track online after submitting through snail mail.Rebate lameness notwithstanding, I buy most of my DIY stuff at Menards. But Ill shop online or at a different retailer when buying tools.

Good variety of home improvement items. My go to place to find specific items for the home. Their staff is very knowledgeable on different types of products and the variety of products is outstanding. I wish they carried more brands but overall if I am looking for something specific I will head over to them. Plus the 11% rebate is a nice bonus.

This has to go on Menards shoulders since they choose the vendors to work with. I ordered a bathroom vanity and matching mirror for a small bathroom remodel. It said it would take four months to get in. Seemed like a long time but oh well - thats what it stated. The delivery day came and went without word from Menards. I checked the tracking and it was only showing my order date. Sent them an email and another day goes by when they tell me now it has been back ordered (from 4 months ago?). I have to now wait an additional month with the mirror taking two more weeks beyond that. They probably dont care that I had my contractor scheduled. Nice service. Maybe Lowes does Know.

It was a challenging task to find what we needed and took quite a bit of time but he stayed right with us throughout our wait to update us on the progress which we appreciated! While Menards may not be the cheapest, they generally have what I need, and are typically very helpful. I generally buy items in bulk here such as wood pellets for my pellet stove.

I needed to pick up a 1 x 4, A 1 x 6, a 1 x 8 and a good straight 2 by 4. (ALL 8 ft long)The employee that helped me out went of his way to make sure I found what I needed. The nice thing was, there were three grades of boards and plenty of good stuff to choose from.I was able to get what I needed at the most reasonable price. You cant say that about a lot of lumber yards.Lumber is a bit expensive right now. Its great to get exactly what you need in one stop with minimum hassle AND at a decent price.

They redirected a special order with no haggle. Top notch service. The general manager is a rockstar. Hes getting things done!

Menards sells this outside water faucet ( Proline) or Wallin-store, on-shelf $18 with 8 pipe and longer.My concern is that they do not sell the anti-syphon part kit for it.And with all the wall hydrants being sold there is either no supply or stock.Does anyone have experience with these failing?

Great prices and friendly staff, if an employee notices that Im walking around like a lost puppy they are quick to ask me if I need assistance ( which I usually do as the store is huge) . I really wish they had these in Canada. The items are so much more affordable than the big box stores at home.

Just a good ole menards. Great deals. Good customer service. Its basically a big old style hardware store. Employees seem happier than lows and lame depot.

The store was very clean, the employees very helpful and if they see you looking around they stip to see if they can help you. Very pleasant and didnt act like they were too busy to stop and help you, lines were a little long but got through in quick time.

Menards.com website seems to not be working properly tonight 12/15/2020. I use their website several times a day every day, but not tonight. I hope that Menards corporate knows their website needs some attention. This is a big inconvenience, not being able to access their website to place my order. I hope they get it fixed quickly.

Overall my experience here was pleasant they seem to have everything you need in a home improvement store the staff has been very polite and are very helpful if you can catch one of them when theyre not so busy they have plenty of rental tools overall I am happy with this store 👍

Every time we come for anything in lumbar there is little available Staff to help. My husband and I Came last weekend and this weekend and can never find anyone in back to help with loading. Need more staff or need employees available in the lumbar shed to help customers. We waste so much time waiting just for assistance. The gentleman who did help was very nice! However, it is disappointing that this is our second trip in a week where we felt we had to play seek and find for help.

Visited the garden center today - found a nice selection of plants, fertilizers, and outdoor decor. Noticed several employees hard at work, one of whom asked if I needed help. I generally choose Menards for their prices, selection, and helpful staff.

Ordered a mastercraft French door at store #3072. The first door went to store to verify was correct. It did not have composite frame as requested. A new one was ordered. On the 2nd door checked at store this one was as ordered, on delivery it was not tied down as was told to me so the frame was damaged when trying to deliver.. word of warning. When ordering from Menards you may get it...but probably NOT

Picked up all the parts needed to install a new stove.

I was needing assistance with finding an item and the associates in paint department were very helpful in helping me to find item. My complaint is with the womens restroom. The one and only handicap stall door would NOT lock close and wouldnt stay shut so was NOT USEABLE!! This door has been this way for quite awhile and hasnt been fixed. For some people using the other stalls is very difficult as toilet sit very low to ground and there is nothing to grab ahold of to assist you with getting up. You would think with this type of store they wouldnt have problem accessing tools needed to fix problem. Also there is no hook on for to hang your purse so you either have to sit it on floor or hang on to it.I reported this to service desk. Lets see what happens??

Absolutely horrible customer service. Purchased a nail gun here 2 weeks ago it was leaking air. I brought it back we couldnt find the receipt but they could look it up since it was purchased on a company account. The manager told me he didnt believe me and he refused to look it up. Im driving a Cadillac, the company it was purchased for spends hundreds of thousands of dollars here a year and the manager just refused to look it up . They were rude and disrespectful and I didnt even want them to give me a store credit or cash, I just wanted to exchange the gun. I will never shop here again and I discourage anyone else from shopping here unless you want crapy tools that dont work and you cant take them back you might as well light your cash on fire. Good news home depot is right across the street.

This store discriminates against people with medical conditions preventing them from being able to wear a mask. They told me they didn’t care about my medical condition and that if I wanted to purchase something I’d either have to put on the mask or send someone else there to purchase it for me.

Ive been working on remodeling my home for selling and have been dreading redoing the floors due to many years of foot traffic and damage. I had no idea what I was looking for, but Alex in floor coverings was extremely helpful in giving suggestions, explaining the differences in carpets and tiles, and helping me maintain my budget while also assuring the job will look nice. I still have a few more projects to make the place look good, and Ill certainly be back to Menards for help since Alex also helped direct me to other departments for my goals!

Ok Hayley Reynolds. I remember you. The pool filters. I unload the trucks and we must receive that they are here so it shows we have the item. The trailer has over 25 pallets of mixed freight. Yeah its a problem that the website showed we had nine in the store but also that quantity factors in that people already pre paid for it. We do not hold “items” so people will pay a surcharge. I am a lower middle class forklift driver Who just unloads trucks and sorts freight. I’m sorry you needed your essential pool filter so quickly. Next time I see toilet paper or hand disinfectant I’ll hold it in the back so pool filters can be brought out first. Hope that helps Hayley.

I shop here frequently, they actually carry some unique electrical parts that my supply houses dont carry. Great selection of light bulbs, devices and covers. Overall the staff is great. I wish they carried Milwaukee tools. Im not a fan of their house brand tools, they seem cheap.

I went in Sunday to buy a pool filter cartridge that their website stated that they had 9 in stock. After scouring the entire store, we asked an associate for help finding said 9 pool filters. After waiting 20 minutes, the associate came back and told us he can’t find them, they might be on a truck still, etc. I then decided to return on Tuesday morning as their website stated that they now have 46 in stock. Fast forward to me looking again through the ENTIRE store and no luck. So, I again asked an associate for help. He goes to the back for 15 minutes to look for the 46 pool filters, only to return with the exact same excuse that I received on Sunday!! So, I leave the store and IMMEDIATELY go online, place an in store online pickup order for these mysterious pool filters...I had to pay a $1.80 “processing fee” for my $6 purchase(which is outrageous), and voila, 5 minutes later my order is ready to be picked up. Upon picking up my order, I asked how it was impossible to find these in store, yet I could go online and pay a 30% processing fee and get my filter immediately. I was then told that they deliberately hold(in the back) these “hot” items from the public so we have to purchase online (and pay that insane fee).🤯 SUPER SHADY!!!! no thanks, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere from now on!!!!

I used to go everyday...now someone w a suit n tie told em how t o set up thr store....u literally hav to walk in from the north corner of the store to the far south corner to order materials then all the way back to the north corner get in tru c k to Drive back to the south corner to pick up materials....i thought that the act of doing this makes it clear they kno nothing about contractors that r buying their materials...ill go to lowes from now on ...least i aint gotta walk a mile to get wat i need nemore...menards u suck

“Hey you!!!” was the opening statement when I accidentally walked in the wrong way. There are so many signs that I do not know which way to enter the darn store. You are creating mass chaos by having only one entrance and multiple exits. Tell your bouncer that this entrance should only be an entrance. For every entrance, there should be an exit. The people who work in the garden center need more communication training as their mouths are more like thorns than flowers!

Menards prices and selection are great. Their cabinet Dept staff, led by Phil, at the Normal store is second to none. The only drawback I have is going through security coming out of the yard. There are times I have had to wait in long lines while they meticulously go through each order due to not enough staff. Other than that, a great store.

Elsie in hardware went above & beyond today. We had a long list of things to buy. She new the inventory within her dept & was willing to contact other departments for the items we were looking for. She was patient, pleasant & very helpful. She even took the time to take us to the items & gave helpful feed back on our project.

Was able to fix water heater connector myself by talking to their associate and buying required tools, products.Everytime I need something Home related, their associates always help with any questions.These pictures were taken taken before and after replacing water heater connector.
