Perry was extremely helpful and very personable. He refurbished my old Armstrong student flute, that Ive held on to for over 45 years, and informed me that it was old even from back when I purchased it in 1974 (as per its serial number, it seems to be from the early/mid 30s?). Thank you Perry! 👍👍👍

Terrific work.. Tuned and fixed keys.. Little things that needed work.. But most off all straightened out the bent lip of the bell on my alto sax.. All done in 24 hours

*Tip for out of towners: find free street parking anywhere near a B train in Brooklyn (Park Slope isnt bad) and take the ~25 minute train into Midtown.*I called Perry on Monday morning to see if he could do a repair on a cracked neck (beautiful repair shown in photo) on my 59xxx Mark VI. He said sure, and I dropped it off around 11am. He did a major tune-up, replaced a few pads, and did this gorgeous neck repair for under two hundred bucks. I picked it up at 9am on Tuesday! Incredible turnaround and awesome pricing. Love the early hours, great for people who are only in NYC for a few days. The horn plays 1000% better, and he seems like a really nice guy to boot. Much better than dropping $1k+ on a new neck.

Went to drop off instrument and he wouldn’t answer the door even though it was during business hours. I think he’s lost it.

Ive rotated among different flute technicians (in order to compare and assess quality) and I was very impressed by my recent visit at Perrys. His service hours and cash/check policy makes this shop unique, and rightly so. He cares about your instrument to the point where he wont replace your cork preemptively because it could be your favorite cork. He is a good man and can be trusted with your instrument and your terms.

Perry is a great repairman, very thorough has quick turnaround on repairs and is a very down to earth guy, prices are reasonable and he guarantees his repairs, I had some issues with my tenor sax and just hate to go to some repairShops you usually have to wait a long time for them to even look at your instrument, opens at 6 a.m. closes at 4:00, I will continue to get all my repairs done by him, no hassle quick quality work and no attitude or worries of being taken advantage of. Very happy and satisfied customer.

Perry is courteous, fast, and efficient. Often one can expect a 24 hour turnaround. I always feel good doing business with someone I know that: has a lot of experience in his field, takes pride in his work, and leaves you with a comforting and genuine smile as you walk out the door, rest assured that your instrument is in good hands.

Tap in the place and did not want to open. He started shouting insults at us. I definitely do not recommend it, the place stinks, the elevator does not work and the building is dirty and old and they say this is the first world? No way
