Ive had 2 of my Swiss automatics worked on here and both times the service was great, with good communication. I had previously used another watch shop, closer to me in Brooklyn, but they take ridiculously long to even give you an estimate and way too long to actually do the work. Manhattan Time Service provided me with an estimate in 2 days both times. The first was a general service, which took just a week to get done, and the watch functions perfectly now. The second time was a repair on a watch I accidentally dropped while cleaning. This naturally took longer, but again, the work was completed within the time quoted to me. I would highly recommend these guys!

So when I first came to this spot I made sure I read a lot of the reviews to make sure that their service would be perfect, and I want to start off by saying that this team is very knowledgeable with many time pieces. They are very professionals and price is extremely fair. They were quick in their turn around time and even just checking the condition of an old watch was done very quickly and gave me a accurate assessment on the current condition. My retirement watch after 8 years had stopped rewinding and something had come loose. After taking it to several jewelers I was told the maker would not sell the replacement parts and I would have to send it to the maker. I collect pocket watches for a hobby. Manhattan Time Services performed a complete service on my Cyma Pocket Watch with complications (i.e., day, date, moon phase, etc.). It was purchased in the 1980s as a gift from my wife and probably hasnt run for 10 years or more.They did a complete evaluation, and provided a very reasonable estimate to replace the battery along with circuit board and also to polish the case to bring the watch back to new standards. The watch was returned in excellent condition at the quoted price. The circuit board design is over 40 years old and they were able to procure and replace it.A bonus for me was that the watch was returned set and ready to wear. It is a complicated watch to set as the time and hand position must be set appropriately for the complications to be set without damaging the watch.Superior job by Manhattan Time Services. I should note that the watch was sent to them from Massachusetts and returned within 3 weeks.

I had my watch pressure tested at this place. The watchmaker told me it was a vacuum test, but the printout from the machine indicated that they tested it to 2 bar, which indicates that its overpressure, not a vacuum tester. I realized that the watchmaker was either misleading me, did not know what he was talking about, or wasnt willing to take the time to explain what he was doing. I also wanted to change a gasket in my Casio watch, and they told me that they do not have Casio gaskets. So I ordered the gasket from the Casio authorized parts distributor and switched it myself (I have the tools to do simple watch repairs). If a watch shop cannot perform such simple repairs, I will most definitely not trust them with a valued timepiece. I took my business elsewhere.

I am a collector of vintage watches, and I have used Manhattan Time Service for several repairs/rehabs of a variety of different vintage watches. They do superb work and are as good as anyone. They have overhauled and rebuilt everything for me from a vintage 1960s Omega automatic, to a pair of vintage Benrus watches, to a vintage Russian Poljot chronograph, and in each case the watch came back in superb condition. These guys are not cheap, but they know what they are doing and they do what they do with care and commitment. If you have a watch you really want to take care of, and particularly if you have a difficult or unique problem, Manhattan Time Service is a great place to use for rehab/overhaul.

I own a very prized Jaeger LaCoutre older desk closk in the single line baggette style. I had read a blog article from Watchmaker Thomas Lodowski who had just repaired a clock like mine and linked to National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Inc. (nawcc.org) whereby he used six different oils to repair the clock he had worked on. I saved his blog for future reference. Sure enough, my clock needed cleaning and overhaul. I reached out to Mr. Lodowski and made arrangement to ship my jewell of a clock to him from the midwest to NY, NY. It arrived safely and was overhauled. Ive received it back safely and it works as it always did but happier with its new parts and cleanup. The repair bill was most reasonble and the time it took quicker than most professionals in my local area. I will always use Mr. Thomas Lodowski for all my Jaeger LaCoutre clocks in the future!! I could not be more pleased!!

We took a Swiss mechanical Oris watch to MTS because it had stopped running. The folks there told us exactly what it needed and exactly what it would cost, and thats exactly what they charged.While it wasnt cheap, service on a fine mechanical watch never is, and skimping on service is a false economy.The watch runs perfectly now, and I will take my Omegas there the next time they need servicing.

I called them and they said they had one but had to verify their inventory and would call me the following day which is precisely what they did. Brought several watches one of them very expensive vintage which needed major overhaul. Their practice, which I wholeheartedly embrace, is to hold the watches and thoughtfully examine whats needed then call you to let you know what the price would be and get your approval before they start. I live in Virginia, and have a difficult time finding a competent watch repair service for my antique Concord and my Tag watches. Manhattan Time serviced the Concord expertly and at a reasonable price. Turn around was a bit lengthy, because they were so busy! I actually picked the watch up on a trip to NYC. I highly recommend this company especially at a time when artisans are getting very difficult to find. Believe me, you ONLY want experts servicing your valuable watch.

Im a returning customer. They fixed my damaged watch 7 years ago and it performed flawlessly ever since and I wear it every day. This time I sent it in for maintenance and replacement of the crystal. It was ready as the Covid shutdown prevented mail services to pick it up from their office. The owner took it home and mailed from his house. Great service!

I have brought many high end watches for battery changes, servicing, and repairs. Not only are they professional and reasonably priced but also they do a superior job compared to the companies who actually sell the watches. Those companies charge high prices, take a long time, and do not provide the kind of knowledgeable sevice provided here. These people know their watches and work on them in the traditional way that they were made.They are also HONEST. I would not think of taking my expensive new watches and heirlooms anywhere else.

Highly professional and experienced on all types and brands of watches. As a security measure they photograph your watch at the service counter to insure that it is your watch when it is returned after service. I would trust Manhattan Time Service with my most treasured watches. Good prices too!

An excellent service on Seiko. My only other option was sending it off to Seiko service headquarters and the wait was too long for that. Being able to take it in directly to MTS, have everything explained clearly, and then have a relatively short turnaround was a major plus.

I have had two complicated watches overhauled/repaired at Manhattan Time Service. One is vintage from the 70s and the other more recent. Both repairs were performed well and both watches are functioning well now. Estimate was given within a few days of dropping off the watch and the prices quoted were adhered to. Cost is almost certainly less than that of going back to the manufacturer (in the case of the vintage, they probably wouldnt have taken it anyway). Service was also fast (several weeks). If you have sent any watches to Switzerland, you might know that it usually takes several months to get them back.One of the watches did have a small issue after I brought it home; I called them, took it back in, and they fixed it at no additional cost very quickly.Overall, Im very satisfied with their service. They will remain my goto place for watch repair!

After taking them locally for a couple of years I found that sending them to Manhattan Time Service provided a much greater value and the assurance of having experts doing the maintenance, at a more affordable cost made it a great decision. Several years after having major repairs to my Ebel watch at Manhattan Time Service, it continues to run beautifully. I traveled from VA to NYC knowing this was the place to go for high quality work. Previous attempts to find a reliable craftsmen in my area failed. The watch is now at least 30 years old and I will only trust it to Manhattan for subsequent care. This is a well-run business.

I needed a service (the clock was slightly falling behind) and polish for my beloved mechanical kinetic Longines. After reading so many favorable reviews, I decided to give a chance to Manhattan Time Service - G-d, I was wrong! The worst service of my life! And the expensive one - $600! On the next day I collected the watch - it stopped working! Brought it back - same story. After that, I wisely decided to take off my watch from these amateurs and service it in another lab that fix it from the very first attempt. Not only that Manhattan Time Service did not fix original problem, they caused to a bigger problem. I did not get any refund and compensation from these crooks at the end. I would not recommend this awful shop to anybody.

My experience with Manhattan Time Service has always been first class. I have two opriginal Concord Delirium watches that use batteries that are no longer manufactured. After a few days I was told that batteries were available. Sent in the watches got an estimate (a few other things needed adjustment) and a week later I drove to NYC to pick them up. Great people, very responsive and they do more than install batteries, much, much more!!

The team at Manhattan Time Service was extremely professional and thorough in their work repairing my Omega. They were able to source all the needed parts quickly, including a pusher spring that broke after their initial service. Their prices are also *very* reasonable for the level of service they offer.

40 yr old Omega watch wasnt running. I got a couple of estimates from jewelry stores in OH and MA that were over $2000. MTS estimate in 2018 was a fraction of that (less than $1000). Their service was friendly and professional. No hassle and the watch was returned within a month like new and is still ticking. I would defintely MTS again and recommend them to anyone.

Took a beloved Tag watch that was fogging up with condensation inside the glass. They couldn’t have been nicer or more honest and called the next day to tell me my watch was fixed and the problem was the much more minor estimate and just required a new seal and battery. I would have never known and paid for a more costly repair. Highly recommend for honest service and excellent work and will never go anywhere else for watch repairs and battery replacement.

I researched repair services for my Omega Seamaster and sent my watch to Manhattan Time Services. My Seamaster was serviced promptly per the quote I received and the communication from them was very much appreciated. I highly recommend them.

Hard to find, but once you know where it is, you will never go anywhere else for your watches. Jacob is knowledgeable and straight forward. Took my Omega Constellation in and received a fair price for a full service and new original crown. Service is prompt, on time, and they take care of their customers. Will be taking all my watches to Jacob from now on. Better experience and service than going to an AD or sending them back to the manufacturer.

We have had several watches repaired and restored by MTS over the years and they have always done an excellent job at a fair price for us. They successfully repaired a Breitling Aerospace for less than half of the estimate provided by the manufacturer itself and did an excellent job restoring a Tag Heuer that was damaged by water. They are our go-to shop for any watch repairs or battery changes.

Manhattan Time Service did a great job on my 30 year old Omega Seamaster watch which I stopped wearing some years ago because of a problem with loose links in the band. They fixed the band with new pins and cleaned and adjusted the movement and now it keeps time better than when it was new. I have been wearing it everyday for over a month and have not had to correct the time once! I was considering buying a cheaper brand of automatic watch to replace the Omega but decided to chance the repair and I am very glad I did.

I make a 60-mile trip to have MTS service all my watches (not all people have defaulted to their cellphones!). They recognized the brand and year of my oldie-but-goodie at 10 paces and treated it like the beloved friend it is.

Got a new watch battery in about 10 minutes as estimated. The woman who helped me wasnt unfriendly, just all business. I do like how they stamp a battery replacement date on the watch so you know how long the new one lasts.

I needed a new glass for my Junghans watch which was scratched. They did a great job at a fair price. I was pleased with their service and felt the job was definitely worth doing. Excellent service! I have had an old Citizen Chronograph for many years and the crystal was so damaged as to render the watch useless. I tried for years to get it repaired by Citizen as well as numerous jewelers... to no avail. I had even considered discarding it on several occasions.I found Manhattan Time on the internet and sent my watch in for evaluation. I was thrilled to hear the could and would repair it. They did an excellent job. My watch is back to new condition. Awesome! They are now my “go to” shop for all of my watch repairs and servicing. I highly recommend.

I traveled from Boston to New York to have a Tag Heuer watch overhauled. I was kept apprised of the schedule and cost, and was very satisfied with the expert work.

I give a 5 star rating to Manhattan Time Services. I have a Rolex Quartz stainless and gold. I have owned the watch for over 20 years. About 5 years ago it quit working. I took it to a Rolex certified shop in San Antonio. They advised that it was time to retire the piece. I then sent the watch to Rolex Service Center in the Dallas Metroplex. They returned it and told me they could not fix the watch. I got motivated when a friend had one fixed, albeit it only needed a battery. I then found Manhattan Time Services online. After speaking with them and two other repair services and doing some investigation I chose Manhattan. I COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED. THEY FIXED IT ON BUDGET AND RETURNED THE WATCH TWO DAYS BEFORE THE DUE DATE. I also have a Presidential mens and womens that will soon make the trip to New York. Butchers - they know nothing about Hublot and less about waterproofing gaskets. Dont use these people, let them deservedly go out of business.

My Rado Diastar Ceramica had a chipped crystal. MTS reviewed it, replaced it and returned it in a timely manner. Perfectly done. The work wasnt cheap, but if you havent figured this out before, you get what you pay for.
