Not a good experience. Attempted to exchange a hat for a smaller size of the same hat. It was a gift and didn’t quite fit. Took me about twenty days to make it back into the store. They have a 14 day no return policy, and they also won’t accept exchanges past this time period. Which is odd, most stores are thirty days. I understand not giving money back, but to not exchange an unworn hat for a smaller size when it was purchased less than a month ago is just bizarre.

Very pleased with the quality and selection even for my great big dome. Purchased two hats. The salesman was a delight to work with and made brilliant recommendations without getting in our face at all. Cant wait to need another hat so I can come back to this shop!

Goorin Brothers hats are among three best made, in my humble opinion. This is the Goorin Brothers on Bleeker Street in Manhattan (There are also two others in Brooklyn). Their felt hats are priced around $150.00, some a little less. Id say the felt hats are well worth the money, the straw hats usually around $90.00, add flat caps and newsboys also around $90.00. Maybe I could find a less expensive flat cap, but these are better made and better looking than those youd find at a department store.Spend your hat money here!

Came to this store on Saturday morning around 11:30. The guy working did a terrible, terrible, terrible job. He did not greet us, did not help us at all and was rather grouchy as if he was doing the biggest favor for being there. I had a $300 budget to get a Panama hat. Took my business to JJ hat where I was treated like the most important person. The sales guy was so terrific doing his job that I ended up spending $680 and instead of one hat, I ended up buying two. It’s sad to see business like this (have owned several Goorin Bros hat before) losing a loyal customer like me. Luckily, the bad experience gave me insight to go explore others stores. Hall-full glass, hum?

My partner and I love this place. We have to stop ourselves from going because we just keep spending our money here. Great hats, great service, beautiful little shop. The pins and feathers and hat belts are all great too. They also clean hats at no cost! Even if they werent purchased there. Cant say enough good things about them.

I came yesterday to purchase a hat in the store. The employees service was not pleased. Refuse that I can’t pay with cash. Unfortunately on the way back to the hotel I forgot the hat in the hotel. I went back day after to buy a new one. Service was still bad, and sent me to buy a gift card so I can pay in the store, and especially walked 30 minutes minutes back and forth because they not accepting cash again. Just to clarify that the cost of the purchase was $35. Not recommending to buy from this store, service is very bad and not welcome.

Great little shop on Bleeker St. in the West Village. George is knowledgeable and really helpful. Thanks to him for all the no pressure help with my purchases. Goorin Brothers hats are my personal favorite for their quality and price. The masks they make are pretty nice too.

The person in the store is a very bad salesman. We were going to buy two hats and ended up buying nothing. The guy was like doing a favor just staying in the store. We felt like we are doing something wrong for wanting to buy goorin hats. If you want your business continue, i would get rid of that guy.

Small store but a really great selection for both men and women. When I got to the store they unfortunately didn’t have the hat I wanted in the store so I ended up spending more on a Christmas present for my dad than I was planning but he loves it. I recommend calling ahead of time to talk with someone about the hat youre interested in if you’re going in person. They have multiple locations. The staff also were cool and were showing me all the different styles and how to wear them. I’m definitely going back to splurge on myself one day.

I cannot walk past a hat shop without going in, and I cannot go into a Goorin Bros. Without buying a hat.Great quality. Great selection.I sought out the store to try on a woven paper (no animal products) crushable (travel friendly) hat after doing some research in advance. I now own 3 of them and have a wish list that I hope to that myself with next time I am there.

Lost my hat going to a show at Madison Square Garden. They helped me find an almost identical replacement and also helped stretch out the hat a little to better fit my head, since I was between sizes. Friendly people, quality hats.

Great range of hats. Some of the employees could be a bit friendlier. When I go into an empty small store they show of at least say hi.

Went to Goorin on Bleecker yesterday for first time. I was waited on by great salesman by the name of Gareth. He was not just friendly and knowledgeable, and helpful in giving advice, but he was also unobtrusive when I just wanted to try on various hats. No hard sell at all. As a result I bought a hand-sewn cashmere flat cap for $98. I definitely plan to go back there again, but I almost didnt go at all after reading Allens review from about a month ago. My experience was in every way different from his.

Im a huge Goorin fan. The hats range from lower cost flat caps and trucker hats to hand made panamas and felt bowlers. The store is small, but every inch is used, so theres a vast selection. The service in the Bleeker Street store is very hit or miss. Ive gone in and had wonderful, helpful salespeople, but more often than not I go in and get completely ignored by the shopkeepers, even when Im the only customer in the store. Its their loss, because Ive walked out without buying things that I came in specifically looking for because I couldnt tear them away from conversations with the other salespeople.

Went here after I got fired. Bought a beautiful cashmere hat made in Italy mind you for only 50 bucks

These guys know their hats! Great advice and super fun shopping experience... We left with 5 hats! Whole range of prices from $40 upwards with some even on sale . They do a loyalty card if your really into your hats. We will be back!

Got a very expensive hat to take it home to see that there is hair all over the inside of it. Now Im over 2000 miles away and cant get a fresh hat. Very disappointed to pay almost $300 for a hat that someone got a haircut put this on and now I have it for my 1st expensive splurge in NYC that I have been saving for.

Terrible service. Walked in wearing a beige hatand asked two people behind counter if they had something similar in black. The lady behind counter said no quickly and proceeded to continue talking with the gentlemen next to her. I surveyed the room of hats and saw a black hat that looked very similar to the one I was wearing. I turned and ask the lady whos back is to me what is this, referring to the hat I just found. She said Oh, dont really know and continued to talk to the person next to her. Walked out. Found a hat 20 minutes later @ another store

Went in lookin for a new hat since spring and summer are coming fast. I only owned one hat prior to my visit and its a 100% fur felt so it heats up rather quickly in the sun. I was looking for a hat with a wide flat brim which they had but didnt have much in my size which was a little bit of a downer. I do have a big head though so its understandable. The employee was honest with what i could pull off and was knowledgeable on the style i was looking for. Ill definitely come by again and theres definitely a plentiful amounts of different styles. I ended up getting a hat that had a different shape then i had in mind.My only complaint was the lack of larger sizes but its nothing to major since i do have a big head so i wasnt to worried about it. They were also switching out the fur felt hats to sell the more lighter straw type hats so it was understandable.

Picked up a great Panama. . If not for the overly persistent (multiple) sales people, probably would have bought 2 and rated 5 stars

Im a die-hard hat lover.I walked a lot to get to the store.The seller antipath in the full sense of the word. Does not open here, does not say anything, does not ask anything and does not help at all. The selection in the store is very poor.The store and the seller radiate contempt.It is recommended not to bother and get there.
