This review is 6 months in the making. I live in GA, so NY is many miles from home. I purchased my Volvo from Volvo Cars Manhattan back in May. My salesman was Justin Hack. Justin is one of a kind salesman. He cares, he will go to battle for you. He will go up and above your expectations, I mean even willing to drive miles to deliver my car. Gosh what can I say. Justin, I still think of you often,, your kindness, your willingness to go out of your way for me, your authentic caring attitude and just how easy it was to talk to you. You have patience and kindness thats beyond explanation. I mean you even delivered my car at the airport so I didnt have to fight with New Nork traffic. I just got my new 2022 S60 today. Excellent customer services and everybody is super nice. Wayne Trieu is my sales guy. It is our second Volvo car from him and we never got disappointed. The more you go to a rich Hispanic neighborhood, thats after the pandemic after math, and everyone richer has fled, they are still providing the communities with GREAT foods at a very high quality. I simply pulled in on W43rd street, Manhattan Volvo, and was greeted as the first customer at 7:30 am promptly by Genevieve. a service manager. She was courteous, reassuring, knowledgeable and customer focused. A great rep of the Volvo brand. Genevieve had the issue solved and I was out in 15 minutes!!!! Thank you Genevieve

She found a car that was a very close match to what I wanted that was currently en-route to Westport, CT via Elizabeth Seaport. She intercepted the car for me and had it delivered to the Manhattan dealership. Rick handled all the financing easy-peasy. And then Jennifer helped me get my phone and Google accounts set up on the cars infotainment system. Thank you Volvo Manhattan! I love my new car!!!!

Had a positive experience at Volvo Cars Manhattan. Eric Mitchel helped me with the purchase of a CPO V90. He was very open and honest during the whole process. He answered all of my questions in a straightforward manner and kept up his end of a handshake agreement. Typical New York style - pushy and quick service. They prefer not to be asked too much, not to answer too much especially over the phone, so my car had to be taken there and kept there for a week for apparently no reason. Problem could be solved by telling me over the phone what settings in my car should be set without going to dealership without wasting mine and their time... If you have a chance and dont mind to drive a bit I would recommend other dealerships, especially my favorite one in Summit NJ.

Horrible customer service never again will step foot in this dealership. We literally had to force our salesman give us info about the vehicle. I purchased pre-owned car worth 41k and they didn’t have the decency to wash the car before we picked up. The next day when I took the car for a drive, I was shocked how dirt the car was inside. So if you are buying pre-owned car make sure u do it before sunset. It’s a common courtesy to have the car washed. I’m not one to complain about minor things this one I had to share. No customer relationship, you have to constant ask everything and even then he has no clue and didn’t bother to check or ask. If it wasn’t for another salesman who step in to help us make this transaction we would’ve took our money to another place .

Incredible experience. Taken care of from beginning to end after having a not-great experience at Queens Volvo. The difference in service was night and day. They took me in on short notice, provided a clean and new loaner, sent me a video detailing the issue and resolution, then coordinated a swap of the loaner at my convenience. Shout out to Tommy and Prem. I’ll be going here for all future service and car purchases.

Very straight forward and efficient negotiation process held 100% by emails over a few days.Delivery (and reception of the trade in) also happened very quickly on the scheduled date and time. I strongly recommend Volvo Manhattan if you are looking for a Volvo, and if you do ask for Richard Mac, who was very attentive, patient, and knowledgeable! He was also able to handle very efficiently one small set back the car had.

It took awhile before anyone came to help us, and then we were able to talk with someone. It was more than 3 days for them to tell me if I qualified for the car, and 4 people for me to talk to for me to get the car. With all of the pass off to the next rep., I Just gave up and left.

I spoke with salesperson Rob on August 27 about a 2021 xc60 inscription. The car wasn’t on property but assured me car was in mint condition with low mileage. I have a Infiniti QX60 also in mint condition with 3 remaining payments. He said they would pay off car with no problem. I left a 500 dollar deposit, Rob said the car would be ready to pick up on Tuesday. I called to make sure car would be ready. He changed it to Wednesday I arrived at 9:30 AM Wednesday, car was prepped and looked great. Now I’m dealing with Amir, I was there 3 hours trying to get this deal done. I was very angry the way they promised me everything was in order, when in fact they couldn’t make the payments on my Infiniti. I left without a car and till this day have not received my deposit. Made several attempts to speak with Amir and left several messages. He told me when I left that day he refund my deposit it will take a couple of days. Almost a month later still no response. They’re quick to take your money and not able to complete a deal, or get your deposit back in a reasonable time frame. I went to Huntington Volvo and bought 2022 xc60 T5 inscription, drove the car home in 21/2 hours. NY Volvo worst dealership I’ve ever dealt with.

Vey disappointed with Manhattan Volvo.Former customer with car with dead battery in West Side garage, less than two mile away from dealer, and could not be given an appointment for three weeks, Promised a call back, never happened. had to be towed to Volvo in Great Neck. As a Manhattan resident I will not buy another VOLVO because of the lack of access to a dependable dealer near my home.

I just had my XC60 serviced for the first time at this dealership. While some things worked quite nicely (text updates, pickup/drop off) I was very disappointed with the lack of verbal communication.There were a number of issues with my car that I wanted addressed and I found it impossible to get someone on the phone. It took 6 phone calls from 8:30-2:00pm before someone was able to take my call or hadnt “just stepped out.”The service advisor and secretary both were brusk, trying to get me off the phone quickly. The invoice was unclear in terms of what was done with no one available to explain the charges.It’s a shame because everything else worked well. I just ask that they work on open communication with their customers. If I were to have any actual mechanical issues I would be very hesitant to bring it back to this service center based on my experience last month.

Too rubbish. The service car will be repaired for them. I just told you very well at the beginning. I called back and connected and didn’t answer your phone anymore. The car repair was slow and I would never get repaired here, especially downstairs. Which receptionist in the middle is rubbish.

My 9th car buying experience and...I dont say this lightly...the best in about 2 decades.Heres how it went:1) I called them on the phone, told the Salesperson what model, features, and preferences I was looking for, and within 10 minutes he identified 3 options that matched closely. We discussed the options, and he offered some first hand opinions and recommendations.2) I picked my favored option, told the Salesperson if he offered me a fair price I would come in to check out the car, and assuming there wasnt a blemish, I would buy it.3) 30 minutes later, he called me back and offered a fair price, shared his cell and email, and told me he would get the car in a week to 10 days.4) In about 3 days, he texted that the car was at the dealership, and set up an appointment for a few days later at a time that was convenient for me.5) I came in to see the car on time, and the Salesperson was waiting for me. He handed me the keys to take a test drive, I drove it around, and really liked it.6) I told him I wanted the car, would be dropping off an expiring lease, and preferred to wait another 10 days because I still had another couple weeks left on it. We set up an appointment.7) I showed up on time, and the Salesperson and car were ready. I sat down with the business manager, and signed and initialed 10 pre-prepared docs.8) Then I met with their lease drop-off person, who asked me a few questions and settled matters.9) The Salesperson helped me move my stuff from the old car to the new car, he transferred the plates, gave me a cool hat and a nice travel mug, we shook hands, and I drove home.Note carefully - I left out a lot of BS, because there wasnt any.Thank you Volvo Manhattan for maintaining an environment where your employees have the leeway to treat their customers with dignity, respect, and trust.Thank you Moustafa, for a quick, well-organized, and personable closing process.Thank you Ivo, for a hassle free lease return, and for the entertaining chat.And last but certaiy not least, thank you Wayne Trieu, for being an honest, communicative, and polite Salesperson. Staff could care less and good luck trying to get anything done on the phone, the hold time is endless and they all just pass the buck. I just got my car serviced today and they totally forgot about my car FOR 8 HOURS. Service Manager Thomas Palladino and salesperson Lilian (would not give last name) do not care about their customers. STAY AWAY!

I had them pick up my car on 07/07/2021, and it’s for tires pressure sensor and auto/stop/start check, which was an appointment booked few days ago, and I let them pick up my car as usual. In addition, it took me two weeks as of today 07/17/2021 to pick up my car, which is a long wait without loaners, it is unconvinced and waste my money ( insurance and finances and commutes fees for these two weeks) If Volvo Cars Manhattan cannot handle these much appointments please do not state as available for appointments or hire more people.Thanks

Review for Volvo Manhattan Service Center.Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!Recently brought my XC60 in for its 2yr maintenance and Genovie was my service rep. Volvo Manhattan continues to raise the bar on service and the customer experience. Immediately upon driving down the ramp I received a text with full diagnostic of my tire wear and wheel alignment. It was next level and showed I had some unusual damage to my tire treads. Fortunately, I listened to Scott in Sales two years prior and opted for the tire / wheel insurance and both front tire were replaced under warranty. They also performed a Polestar software update and WHOA!!! The pickup and gear shifts were vastly improved!!! The Polestar Performance upgrade is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for any owner looking to add a little spice to their nice Volvo. When the full maintenance was done these even sent me a video of work performed. I LOVE DRIVING MY VOLVO and I LOVE MANHATTAN VOLVO. Thanks Genovie!

Called the service department to book an appointment back in mid-May. The girl on the phone says I can come in that week but no loaners would be available. I book an appt 3 weeks later when she says she will have a loaner available. Flashforward to today, 6/9/21, I show up at 8 am for my appointment. Sat in an hour worth of traffic going out of my way. Im told I need to leave my vehicle so they can work on the issue (as I figured). The service advisor insists they have no loaners available. I explained how I planned for this. He tells me even if we tell you over the phone we have a loaner, its not necessarily the case when you show up. So I leave, dont get any service done. .... I call Volvo of Queens, make a loaner appt for next week. I explained this story and insisted that a loaner be available so I dont waste my time. She tells me if they make a loaner appt they guarantee a loaner will be available and that their dealership doesnt do business that way.

My advisor Prim (I know I spell his name wrong) for my Volvo XC60 was attentive. He called me daily to provide an update. He was honest and truthful about what was going on with my car. He was doing what he can to speed up the process as I explained to him how we need the car ASAP. Volvo, youre an expensive car but having advisors like Prim makes the price doable.

Bought a 2 year old used Volvo XC90 from them in the end of 2020.Have been trying to contact 2-3 persons by email at that company after I received the car regarding questions I have about the car. Visited this dealership twice. First time was for the 10K service and second time was for clicking noise from driver compartment. Excellent and pleasant experience during both visits. Friendly staff and great environment. Drop-off and pick-up are super efficient and smooth. Prem was my service advisor for both visits and he is truly a star!This is my first lease with Volvo (XC90). Not really that familiar with the brand but went for it because of its stylish design and excellent safety ratings. Thought I’d give it a try. I leased with Bay Ridge Volvo. Unfortunately, the place closed down shortly after I leased the car. I was worried and unsure where to turn to until I received a letter form Volvo Manhattan saying they would be taking care of customers from Bay Ridge Volvo.True testament came as the lease mileage approaches 10K. I made appointment online and arrived at the dealership super early and brought all my lease documents with me and more paperwork not knowing what to expect. The next thing that happened changed my perspective entirely - meeting my service advisor Prem. Prem made everything super easy for me and never mind all the documents. I dropped off the car and was on my way to my next destination in no time! By early afternoon my car was ready for pickup and all washed! Throughout this time, I was kept up to date on the status of my service.My second visit is even better, I was bothered by a clicking noise while driving but could not figure out where it’s coming from nor what’s causing it. I took the car in and next thing you know it’s flawless again, the same date!There are many brands we could choose from in today’s competitive market. However, what truly sets Volvo Manhattan apart is their excellence in customer service both pre and post sales. Often, we find ourselves in situation where we see huge discrepancy before buying/leasing vs. after. I got my XC90 lease on Saturday June 29. after driving a few miles the car started to stop running and needed to restart everytime I stopped in a traffic. I called the dealer, they requested me to bring back the vehicle, which I did. They said the car is good after they drove it. I had leased the same model XC90 for three years before and I am will familiar with the car. I drove the car home but the problem increased I got a permanent engine alarm signal, sensors were not working, too much vibrations. I called the agent again, they requested me to drive back during my working hours, I postponed all the meeting I had to drive the car back to the dealer. After I explained I had a tight schedule, they offer to drop me to my work and they promised that I will get my car fixed the same day, which I am still waiting to happen.

After an initial misfire with Andy, who seemed very disinterested in selling me a car for which I booked a test drive, I was pleasantly surprised to have a very good car buying experience with Richard. He went out of his way to bring the car to my apartment in Gramercy and patiently waited while I test drove it. As a salesman myself, I really respected his no pressure, but highly informed and helpful sales style. Covid-safe at every moment. While sales reps at other dealerships were sending me incoherent e-mails with no punctuation, and refusing to work with me over the phone, Rich was able to send clear information and follow through until we got the deal done.No high pressure sales tactics and I certainly appreciated that.Thank you guys.UPDATE - The service experience has been great. Much better than what I experienced with my last car, an Audi. They will even pick up and drop off your vehicle to and from your home if you are in their service area.
