We rarely go to New York City but were there for a wedding. I had seen the website for the gallery and it was very good. They clearly had a large selection of quality rugs. Our experience in the store was great. Everyone was attentive, knowledgeable and listened well to help us find what we needed. We bought a large beautiful rug that we to this day enjoy viewing in our dining room. Great quality, reasonable prices, great experience in the store.

I bought what I thought was a beautiful antique rug from this liar about a decade ago. I loved the unique mix of beautiful colors and the pattern of course. I paid a fortune for a beautiful rug that was new! And it took a while to negotiate and pay an outrageous fortune for a rug that was supposed to be at least 100 years old but was younger than 10!Nazmiyal is synonymous with liar. If you bought a rug from this liar, you were lied to and most likely annoyed and had a lot of time wasted. Either its not an antique or you were overcharged.Wish I knew an honest dealer but from now on, Sothebys or the like for me.Youll notice some of the names used to post positive reviews are obviously made up and I wouldnt be surprised if there is not one honest review. Seek help you compulsive liar.RESPONSE: Then assure me that if I bring you an old invoice from over 10 years ago that says you sold an antique rug attached to a rug that is less than 50 years old (probably just 20-25 now that 10 years has passed) that you will just refund the money paid. I dont need interest but a refund for the rug Id take! The invoice is not in my name but that shouldnt matter, right? So long as the word of your fellow antique rug dealer would suffice who has informed me of the age of my rug. I love the antique carpet that I got from Nazmiyal, but thats irrelevant. The important thing is that the experience of working with them was lovely-- they were so wonderful about everything, seemingly effortlessly spreading out several HUGE rugs for me to choose from their astonishing inventory, and then they brought them to my apartment so I could decide right here. The staff is patient and very kind. Id work with them again in the future, and recommend them without hesitation.

We ordered a rug online without physically seeing it in person. The quality of the rug is amazing! It arrived in excellent condition packaged well. The online pictures were detailed and very accurate. Turn around from order to shipping was less than 24 hours. Nazmiyal did a fantastic job cleaning and repairing two antique carpets for us. The cleaning brought out the colors and restored the surface texture after many years of wear. Multiple repairs were expertly made - rebinding edges, reweaving to fill in holes. Alen is extremely knowledgeable and offered great advice. His passion for this work brings fantastic results.

I recently had a carpet cleaned by Nazmiyal Antique Rugs. The carpet had been in the family for several generations, and I had not taken good care of it. They did excellent work in bringing back the color, and bringing back the soft texture. It has a completely different look and feel. They were even able to take out a large area that had been badly discolored by accumulated dirt, that I thought would never come back, and evened out the surface in several places where it had worn unevenly. Perhaps not everyone would have as good results as mine, but I am very glad that I finally had the carpet cleaned - and I am very pleased that I chose Nazmiyal to do the work. The price, while not cheap, was nonetheless very reasonable in view of all the remedial work required to be done. They were professional, knowledgeable, straightforward, and easy to work with. Thank you, Alen, for fine work. I will definitely continue to use you in future.

From start to finish my experience with Nazmiyal was extremely positive. The rug I saw on their website looked perfect and, amazingly, the colors on the site were true to reality. They brought the carpet to our apartment to see if it worked in place and we felt no pressure to purchase if it was not exactly what we wanted. It was!
