A lovely cozy yarn shop with lots of materials for quilting. I ended up purchasing yarn to make my husband and I hats. Its a bit of a custom to knit something from each major city we visit so Im looking forward to our Nashville hats πŸ™‚

I would adore this shop even if I wasnt an Anna Maria Horner fan girl. The shop is bright, airy, and hung with gorgeous, contemporary quilt art. It stocks a beautifully curated collection of fabrics as well as yarn and knitting supplies. PLUS they take COVID precautions seriously, which is very important to me. Lovely

Im so glad they moved here from 12th south - this location has lots of parking and a larger classroom space. The stock is well curated - centered mainly on quilting, knitting/crochet and embroidery. They have a nice (small) selection of indie garment patterns as well. I love the vibe and the twice monthly craft nights. Wouldnt be my first choice for buying apparel fabrics.

I am blessed to have been in quilts shops all over the country and some in Europe. This shop definitely entertained me and I could have spent the afternoon with the friendly staff and among all the interesting fabric projects. I finally settled on a unique blouse pattern and fabrics to make a large lap quilt. At the end, found out that the shop is one of 10-12 in the country owned and run by a specific fabric designer with Free Spirit. They are soon to move. This store is a must if youre in the Nashville area.

I had an amazing experience at Craft South picking out some fabric. Their selection of unique and quirky cotton cloth is unparalleled from goofy animal prints to wacky abstract patterns. The atmosphere is also very calm, thoughtful, and welcoming. The staff are very knowledgeable and take the time to make sure you are finding just what you are looking for. Make sure to check out the fabric on sale in the back room and the 1/4 ft assortment right by the classroom. I haven’t gotten a chance to take a class there but can’t wait to try one!

My wife and daughter in law loved this place. While we were there, I overheard the clerk answering the phone. At least three times she took phone calls where the caller was asking for something the store did not carry. Each time, the clerk responded that they did not carry the items. Then she made recommendations as to where the items could be purchased.I was impressed!

I was able to get patterns that arent sold at the major sewing stores. There were so many more options. This shop is totally worth the stop if you sew or are looking to get started sewing!

Beautiful fabrics. Great selection of harder to find fabrics. The customer service was lacking. The store was not busy, but in the twenty-five or minutes that I walked around the store (often the only customer) no one bothered to greet me, ask if I needed assistance or anything. The girls that were working were too busy discussing their personal matters or what they were knitting to acknowledge my presence. I ended up not purchasing any fabric as I was turned off by the poor customer service. I took my business elsewhere. I was surprised as the reviews for this store are usually great.

Shout out to the manager who let multiple customers use the PUBLIC restroom but stepped in front of me and closed the door. Then proceeded to ask if I actually shopping. As if I go into stores simply for my health. I guess my natural tan was too much. Next time put a whites only sign on the door so that Im not confused by your behavior. Gladly took my money elsewhere.

I needed appliquΓ© pins so I decided to go to Craft South for the first time on Sunday after church. There were people everywhere. Parking near the store is for residents and requires a permit. I could find no spaces after driving up and down the street and around the block. I left in frustration. I’ll find my pins at a store tomorrow that has patron parking.

Awesome selection of unique fabric, including from designer Anna Maria Horner (who owns the shop) plus a bunch of Anchor crewel and tapisserie wool and other supplies for embroidery and needlepoint. Some cool yarn too, but its not quite a full service yarn store. Parking lot is teeny and always full; I generally have to find street parking and walk a bit.
