I was totally devastated after showing up at the Amherst location and being told my reservation for a unit was not honored because they had no units. I had just traveled 1300 miles for 3 days across the country and had nowhere to put my things. I took the chance and headed to the one on Daniel Webster. That’s where I met Shane, and I’m so glad I did! He went above and beyond to make sure that we had the unit we needed, that we didn’t have to use the stairs, and that we were able to return the equipment we rented at this location, instead of the Amherst one. The place was very busy. Once he cleared all customers, and the store was closed, he still came to check on us and make sure we had what we needed. He also helped me make sure I could take the vehicle off the transport trailer. I was a little disappointed about the prices being higher than the other location, but I haven’t seen customer service like that in so long! That service made me know the money I was paying was well worth it! Thank you Shane!

Went into the store for a propane tank. There was no one behind the counter. After about 10 minutes a kid walks in. Walks right past me without saying a word and sits down behind the counter still not saying anything. I walk over and tell him I need a tank and want to have it filled. He let me know someone would be right out to help. 10 minutes when by and no one came out so I left. I’ll get propane someplace else from now on.

They raise my price by $340 because I change my pickup time from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. I brought it up to one of the employees which name is Scotty Cole And he thought it was funny that I was getting overcharged No one ever gave me the option to pick a pick up time for my order. The employee has no customer service skills whatsoever and when I brought it up to him he thought it was funny and didnt even bother help if I ever need another rental, I will never return to this location.

They have storage but Not accesible with 26 truck, because of uhaul trucks parked crazy ..... half of star !!!!

Just warn every one who rent the van there to check your miles on their paper work with the actual miles on the van, because today they cheated me 10 miles over what I actually used. They said why I dont check before I drive. It is not a big deal but I lost confident on them now....

Staff had no customer service skills. Buy stuff and then leave there.

Set up reservation for after hour pickup. When I got there didnt have code in email. They didnt set it up. Said to pickup in person. When I called uhaul directly took 45 minutes to get through. They told me they couldnt help. They did try to call location manager but they didnt answer.

Absolute trash, the staff is extremely rude when they decide to help, and they most certainly spend most of their time ignoring customers so expect some seriously bad attitude if you ever get anyone to actually help you.

This is not a place to go, they are under staff, they talk to you with bad attitude, they charge you more than they suppose to, when I try to resolve the problem he gave me all kind of excuse bad experience. I will never go back there again.

I have been trying to contact this location for two days to pay a past due balance. I made a reservation a week ago under my name. I made the reservation over the phone with my debit card information and got my conformation emailed to me. My uncle picked up what I needed, when he arrived to the store he was told the payment was never received, I did check my bank account before providing my card information again and was able to confirm the person over the phone obviously did not do what was suppose to be done. The store then changed the entire reservation to my uncles name, after I confirmed with them that did not need to be done because it was just a trailer. This makes it impossible for me to pay the balance online! Customer service continues to hang up while putting me on hold, and the second someone in the store answers, before I can get a word in I am put on hold for 10-20 minutes. Completely unprofessional, I will NEVER use not just this location, but this COMPANY again!

Its got everything except available staff.Friday mid-afternoon quiet period, and no staff in the store. After 15 minutes, three staff came in from outside.Saturday morning needed a few extra items - line of customers waiting, one staff member busy at a terminal with some other matter - other staff outside. 5 minutes of that and I walked out.

I returned the truck with a full tank (was only required to fill it 3/4), and they charged me for driving 2 miles more than originally planned.

Unfortunately, a very unprofessional U-Haul shop here. The guy that was working the desk (Joe/Giuseppe) was incredibly rude, clearly hates his job and treats everybody accordingly. The manager (I think his name was Clay or something like that) was good, though, and I hope hes given the personnel resources he needs to turn this place around. Beware of using online reservations or reservations via the 800 number for this location. I showed up with a 20 truck worth of stuff to drop off in a storage unit after an incredibly long day of moving, and they didnt have any units available. Not cool. I highly suggest making the extra trip to the other U-Haul in Nashua on Northwest Blvd if you desire reliable and professional customer service.

Went to get propane, rang bell waited 5 minutes nothing so rang again nothing . Called store was put on hold for over 5 minutes- guy never came back. Called back 5 times never answered. In total waited over 20 minutes and nothing! Went inside and there was no one to be found ! They were open for another hour too! NEVER will go back

Nice busy place. only downside is that people constantly drop old furniture near the dumpsters and it seems to be no priority to management to clean it up. Currently two couches next to dumpster that are rotting away for the last three month. Would be nice if somebody would remove it before rodents settle in.

UPDATEI FINALLY got a very apologetic email from the GM of the So. Nashua U-Haul last night (7/12). He is giving us a generous refund and asked if there was anything further he could do. So he has done what he could to make things right. Adding a star as he did provide a partial refund.Abysmal!!Go elsewhere!!Made reservation online for a 17 truck and a storage unit with a move in date of Sunday, 6/28. We were supposed to pick up the truck Saturday, 6/27 and return it Sunday, 6/28 and store the items in the store unit. I got an email confirming both when I made the reservation. Friday, I get an email confirming a 20 truck for 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Saturday. I called and the Regional Manager (located in North Mass - explains a lot) blamed me for making the reservation late in the month.Finally got a truck in Manchester, Loaded things up and called to doubly confirm the storage unit. I was told everything was all set. Got there and while the reservation was in the system, there was someone else in the unit - theyd moved in on Thursday.I email the full story to U-haul HQ on Monday, 6/29 and have not heard a word.Go elsewhere if you possible can.

Awful experience, I said no to additional coverage and it was added anyway. The rate said $19.95 for the truck and I was charged $79.99. I informed the employee I was taking it to two places but couldve just done 1 run today, and another a different day (rent twice) and they insisted it was fine. However they slap a $79.99 charge over 100 miles. It wouldve have saved me a lot more money and time to just rent another day. The general manager seemed she could care less about my situation. Never coming back here. Uhaul in Lowell had much better customer service.

DO NOT CALL THE PHONE #. Its an answering service employing college kids lacking common sense, listening skills and using faulty equipment. Go to the store, talk to CJ and Dennis. They will answer any questions you have and display the best in customer care and service anywhere. This is not exaggerated. If you need a truck, this is the place to go. Thanks for listening. Very good customer service. I booked 15ft truck for 4 PM and they were able to give it by 2 PM itself. Very cooperative and no issues at all. No tricks no hidden charges.

Perfection.I returned a truck and trailer to this branch after three days of driving across the country. I wanted a hassle free, speedy interaction, I got exactly that.The gentleman who handled the return was efficient, polite and a thoroughly nice person. I couldnt have asked for anything more.

They refuse to answer their phone! The place is understaffed and the people who work their don’t care. There is better Customer service at the dmv.

Was having problems with the wiring installation for my trailer hitch and had Dennis take a look. He diagnosed the problem and fixed the previous guys poor work. This man is a top notch professional and does excellent work. If you need electrical work done on a towing hitch this is the guy you go see. Highly recommend him.

Manager CJ is professional in a friendly manner and will direct you in the best choice for your money... I rented many times and will continue to do so. The rest of the staff is fabulous too. Made an appt for an auto hauler. Easy process overall. People were decent etc. The place is very busy on Saturday afternoons and this compounds by a lack of space on the property. Biggest drawback was getting the trailer out of the back lot due to constricted space

Terrible customer service. Its been such an ordeal just to get a basic price quote about my U-Box. I just need to know how much it would cost to deliver the box to my new apartment. Heres how my calls with them went:1. I called in, asked about the U-Box, got transferred (hung up on).2. I called back, talked to someone who said shed call me back in 30mins.3. Over an hour passed. I called them back, got transferred again (hung up on).4. I called back, got the number they were trying to transfer me to, and called it.5. Talked to a lady at the other location, she gave me another number to call (the original one I had been calling!).6. Talked with the original location again. He had to give the phone to someone whos more experienced with this... it was a girl who said shed never done this before. She said Ill call you back tonight from my house; Ill figure it out after work with my manager... that was weird. I told her its fine to just call back tomorrow at work.A couple of these people were rude on the phone too, like talking to customers really annoyed them. Overall, its very disappointing that it takes over a day just to give me this simple price quote. I dont live far from this location, and I just want to get this box to my house :(

I called this store to schedule an appointment to check my trailer lights and this non sense guy was very rude and hang up on me, very poor service.

Made reservation with credit card. When I arrived to pick up truck at reservation time, they gave it away to someone else. I called day before to check if my reserved truck would be available because I have heard of this happening. According to there policy they hold truck for 60 minutes after reservation time which customer service and clerk quoted. Clerk recited the policy despite looking me in the face and telling me she just gave away the truck I reserved. Trust no one - Fox William Mulder

Uhaul doesnt even deserve a 1*. Especially this location.I reserved a 17ft Truck more than a week before my actual reservation, then got a call from uhaul office the moment after I reserved asking if i wanted a one way 20ft truck from this location to which I agreed since it was more convenient to have a one way trip. I also get a text message from Uhaul that says I need to go to confirm the reservation by calling them. I not only called them but also personally visited the location and they handed me over a print out of the confirmation.Then a day before my reservation, I get an email from Uhaul that transfers my reservation to an address thats 30 miles out of where I originally booked Uhaul from. ALL WITHOUT MY CONFIRMATION.On calling the customer service, they said one way reservations do not come with a confirmation until 2 days before the reservation date.I called the location that I originally reserved from and from where they handed me a print out confirmation to dispute this but they asked me to contact the customer service. The customer service blatantly refused to help me. NEVER GETTING A TRUCK FROM UHAUL AGAIN.

Came to get propane. Rang the bell as stated, no one came out. After waiting about 5 mins my husband Went inside, the worker inside said that people are outside working the propane and he will get someone out there momentarily. Husband came back out- waited almost 10 mire mins. A worker came out and said “sorry, we just closed”. Awesome, after my husband explained how long we’d bern waiting he rolled his eyes and filled the tank. Will not be coming here again.

Stopped in today to get a hitch installed, the mechanic was professional and fast. The entire process was frictionless and inexpensive, in and out in less then 45 minutes.

So the clerk took our ~$100 deposit... and then told us it was declined. Our bank says it was approved, there was a line item on our bank account that said U-Haul and the amount deducted, but clerk insisted that it was declined in his system. I had a friend call and try it with HIS card which has plenty of money on it, and the clerk claimed that was declined as well (which really makes no sense). Since we only had $150 in our account to begin with we sent over 3 hours trying to get the money put back in our account (which required a whole long process of faxing back and forth with U-Haul corporate and our bank, too much to explain here). So basically this kid has no clue what he’s doing, never once showed any remorse or even offered an apology... I can only assume he messed up somehow, or there would not be a charge on our account for $100. I’ll This has been a huge nightmare and we are still in limbo 3 hours in.... latest update, they sent our bank a file that they couldn’t open...we’re still waiting...in hell

Returns a trailer from moving from the DC area, had no trouble dropping it back off with a different car.

A deposit was taken from my account when renting a truck (it was not stated by the Service team that i was going to be charged a large chunk of money to rent the truck). Once i dropped off the truck the service member told me that i should be refunded x amount of money. I was under the assumption that it was going to me within 24 hours. It has now been 3 days and i have not received the money. I called the phone number provided and spoke with a rude Representative that did not care to know my situation and stated that i would see the remaining money in 5 days.

Pretty sad I called up for a price on a truck for moving and they cant tell me cause I dont know the exact closing day on my house! All I wanted to know was a price for a 24hr rental pretty much intown!

I made an appointment to have a hitch installed at this location. A few hours later I received a call from UHaul canceling that appointment and asking me to reschedule 3 days later. I told him Id get back to him. I found an appointment for the original day at another UHaul location and when I called the Nashua location back to let them know I wouldnt need to reschedule they said Id be charged a $50 cancelation fee EVEN THOUGH THEY CANCELED ON ME! It took speaking with 6 different UHaul representatives at a variety of offices (2 at the Nashua store!) to get it resolved.

I had the most difficult time with this place that I have ever had with any business. I scheduled with them to have a hitch installed on my car three times, went there for my appointment, and every time was declined with the excuse that they were not able to do it. The first time was because the part was not in yet (even though they scheduled the installation), with the second and third times due to scheduling issues between the customer service center and the UHAUL in Nashua (Daniel Webster HWY). How does a company survive with such poor customer service? I ended up getting my deposit back and will go elsewhere. After this experience Ill never use UHAUL again for any services.

Set up a different payment date and they withdrew money before the actual date. Even when I spoke to two representatives to confirm the arrangement which they made note of.

I wish I had read the reviews before scheduling my appointment. I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago to have a trail hitch put on my car and was told that I would be contacted to schedule the time. I was never contacted and when I called this morning I was told i missed a 7 am appointment. I told them I wasnt told the time and the person on the phone told me that the store got the schedule to late to call me. The woman contacted the store manager and pushed the appointment back to 8:30. I got there at 8 and was told by the gentleman at the counter that I have ruined his day. He complained that I was supposed to be there at 7 and that I was inconveniencing him. I politely tried to tell him that I wasnt contacted to schedule a time. He repeated that I was being an inconvenience to him. At that point I was livid and pointed out that it is not my problem that an appointed was scheduled and I wasnt notified. He again blamed me for not being on time. I have seen bad customer service but this was the worst and from what I see here, and other places online, is typical with this store and uhaul in general. I contacted customer service and lodged a complaint and am working on getting my deposit back. I will never deal with U-Haul again if I can help it.
