I called a few different security system service providers but only Vigilant responded promptly. They gave me three very reasonable payment options to choose from and the most up to date equipment. Service was provided when promised and the follow through is second to none. The installer, Eduardo, made sure all the components were functioning properly and followed up to make sure everything was still working well a few days later. I highly recommend Vigilant Security.

I usually do not write reviews, because there are times I have been disappointed with the service I have received....But, this company did everything perfectly and as stated! I met Edwardo, who is the tech person and would also do the install, at a friends home...My friend was interested in using Vigilant Security....He asked me if I would be interested...I said yes, but would need a review of what was to be done and a total understanding of how it would be done! After Edwardo explained the process, at my friends home, I then had him come to my home and explain how he would do my install...He was honest, respectful and communicated impeccably. I then asked for an estimate to be e-mailed to me....Received it the very next day.... most times you need to follow up with companies to send you an estimate or even call you back! I received my e-mail, set up my install date and then Edwardo arrived.....We started a conversation about possibly adding more equipment....Edwardo and I worked on things that I had not even thought to do....and these things made sense to me. I wanted the right a job done and why not do it all at once....So, the work was done another day because I wanted more equipment....A few days later, as scheduled, Edwardo showed up, on time, and started his work, immediately!I have to say, it was a pleasure to have him work in my home....Edwardo, is a true professional.....He is respectful of one’s home, respectful of the owner, neat, cleans up after himself, so knowledgeable and no attitude. He is truly a “Gem” ! I can go on and on, but I think you get the picture....If you are in need of a security system....big project or small....I highly recommend you call Vigilant Security and make sure you have Edwardo do the install.....You will not be disappointed...Oh, and lastly, don’t have fear about learning how to use the system....Edwardo explains things so well, so when he leaves, you will have no problem.

We decided on Vigilant Security for our home security system. Eduardo is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, polite and very thorough at installing. We originally set up in April or so and called Eduardo to upgrade and add more exterior night cameras on the property. We can not be more pleased with the upgrade and still have more to come after construction is finished!

Wonderful Company to do business with. Eduardo came to our home and examined the system the house had in it prior to us. He was able to find nearly everything and said that it would take time but they could use it. He was they only person out of three companies that took the time to do this. The installation of the security system and cameras went well we love the simplicity of using this. My wife and I have been putting off installing a security system for a few years after suffering a failed home-invasion about 3 years ago. One of my concerns has been the reliability of wireless systems and having a local resource should we have any issues.Vigilant is the first company we came across that had high ratings from all of the people who have posted. Their installation tech, Eduardo, was extremely helpful, fast, and very clean. He quickly walked my wife and I through the system and answered any questions we had.The 2Gig system that was installed has the ability to control up to 60 sensors, has an easy to use interface, and can control home-automation products if we ever dabble in that. The Android and iPhone app are also very nice. I get push notifications when someone arms, or disarms, the system, and it has a clean, intuitive interface.Final thoughts? Wish I had done this earlier, but Im glad that I waited for Brantley and team.

Update: three years later and a new home, Vigilant Security is still my choice for security. Eduardo knew exactly what we wanted and installed cameras and the full internal security. When he left you would never know he was here. Arrives on time and get the job done in a quick and professional manner. No other choice for my wife and I.My wife and just closed on our new home and needed a security system installed. The builders recommended company was not able to deliver the system that we wanted. I found Vigilant Security on a web search. I called the office and spoke with Brantley, the owner. He listened to my needs and sent his tech Eduardo to my home to discuss options. Eduardo was very knowledge about the system we wanted. He was able to review the pre-wiring that was done during the building of the home and determined where we had issues. The quote on the installation was delivered promptly and the installation was scheduled. The pricing was exactly where we expected it to be based on prior experience. Eduardo was on time with calls prior to his arrival. The system was installed, the house was spotless when he left and the system works perfectly. There is something to be said for dealing with a local, family owned business. I recommend Vigilant Security if you are in the market for a new or improved security system.

Brantley did a superior job. He didnt discover that our system had never been completely hooked up until after he quoted a price and came to install. Surprise! what normally would have required a few hours took him one and a half days and did he charge me any more? No, he did not. He honored the contract and accepted the situation, thereby insuring our loyalty and respect. Good old-fashioned values at work here. I highly recommend Vigilant Security and Brantley Oakey.

If you have used any other alarm company in the past, you are missing out on what Vigilant Security can do for you. Brantley did a fantastic job installing our color touch screen display keypads and all motion detectors in our home. This also included the GSM device so that we didnt need a phone line, which adds extra security anyway! The Product is excellent and the value is definitely there. We loved controlling our alarm from the iPhone app as it gave us piece of mind and we could always check in with our home while away! Vigilant Security provided a great experience for us!

Vigilant in general and all its staff in particular is amazing! They have top notch and the latest technology/equipment. They also maintain continuous and regular communication with the client. I just bought a new home and I was given a reasonable quote to handle my security needs. Appointments were scheduled in advance and went off without a hitch. Eduardo, the installer, was outstanding! He knows the equipment well and stays there until it is fully working and you know how to use it. They have their own monitoring service so that you can do everything with just one company. Having just purchased a home without a security system, I contacted Vigilant Security about my requirements. Having already checked them out on Angies List, I already had some high expectations. On only a couple days notice, Brantley Oakey, their service rep. provided me with a detailed quote, and completed the installation two days later. It included motion, smoke, CO2, and door alarms along with remote thermostats and door locks.The installation was done quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend their services.

Vigilant Security was fantastic! From the moment I contacted them for a quote to the final install they were prompt, professional and easy to work with. I had Vigilant Security install an outdoor camera system, automated door & garage locks and thermostat at my vacation home (which I use as a vacation rental). All these features make my life so much easier! My home had plenty of issues with the existing security system (which was not installed by Vigilant) which resulted in a lot of necessary trouble shooting. Brantley the owner and his installer Eduardo were amazing. Eduardo had to make several trips out to the house to deal with the pre-existing issues and went above and beyond what I think an alarm company would do (even co-ordinated a meeting with a Comcast technician to solve a Comcast wiring issue on my behalf)! I would highly recommend Vigilant Security for any type of security work or home automation!
