The coffee was good, but the staff could be a little friendlier…. This is a coffee shop after all.The atmosphere is a bit too sterile for my taste, but the locals seems to enjoy it.Also, I found the drink sizing to be extremely small for the price. Maybe offer multiple drink sizes so folks aren’t surprised when they receive a tiny cup?

Comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere and delicious coffee drinks! We found this place just yesterday and thought it looked amazing inside and the coffee was just as good. I love the flavoring in he coffee does not take a way from the taste of their coffee because their coffee is just that good. My husband and I like to try out small coffee shops and spend some time there. We are looking forward to going back to hang out but also enjoy their coffee! Also great service!

Aldea is such a great gem in downtown Muskegon and Grand Haven. Each shop is unique but you know what youre going to get when you go - a great drink and great community. I cannot recommend Aldea highly enough.

This place has great positive energy and calm atmosphere. I love to come here to unwind from a long workday. We need more great coffee/ tea shops like this one. Definitely a gem.

Great atmosphere. Dog friendly on the patio. Coffee and Matcha are high end. Building is well renovated. Typical food and beverages expected of a high end coffee shop. Beans and coffee hardware available as well. Will definitely be back.

Excellent service! The staff is kind and welcoming and the have a nice variety. The atmosphere is comfortable. I had hot chocolate and a sugar plum, both were very good (and fancy!) The bathrooms are shared with the multi use building and are always clean. Parking is in front of and behind the building in free lots and free street parallel.

I came to Aldea with high expectations and they were wildly surpassed! Aldea had been on my bucket list for a while and the last week that I was living in the area, I finally stopped in. The owner was working the register and was super kind, talking about their menu and my personal life right off the bat for a bit. The service was fast, the space was clean but inviting, and everyone seemed to know each other. My friend and I asked about the music that was playing and the barista stopped over to our table to chat with us about music for a while and brought us waters without even asking. There was a job interview going on at the next table so we heard a lot about the ownership and management of Aldea and we were floored!! They care about their community, the environment, and their employees a great deal. Our visit left us floating on cloud nine because of the incredible experience. I never leave reviews, but Aldea definitely deserved one.

This is a beautiful space with delicious coffee and specialty drinks. Using coffee grown by Honduran farmers and roasted here in Muskegon Heights, Aldea has made a commitment to sell, train and teach the Honduran farmers to produce high quality specialty coffee and pays them above fair trade prices for their crops, thus investing in their wellbeing and communities. I have personally traveled to Honduras and met 3 of these farmers and can attest to their commitment to this community as well as to being a part of the growing Muskegon downtown. Highly recommended.

This is a WONDERFUL coffee shop that offers delicious coffee, tasty treats, a cozy atmosphere, and a chance to make a difference in our world. The coffee comes from farmers in Central America, and is traded fairly so that they can earn a livable income. You can even learn who coffee farmers are! The Aldea staff is super friendly and knowledgable, too, making this a necessary stop for any coffee-drinker.

Such a fantastic shop! Great coffee (I got a Cortado and a half-sweet iced cafe miel - both made with care), Big, open and sunny space with many seating options (bar, high-top window seat, comfy chairs, outdoor tables and comfy chairs, and even cushions on the floor surrounding a low table). If the physical space and ambiance was wonderful, the staff was even better - very friendly, and welcoming, remembering us even just the second time visiting. (Anna, one of the Baristas, even covered my drink when she found out it was my birthday!)We were in town camping just for a short time, but we were so in love the first time we came, we had to come again instead of trying another spot.Its a few streets off the main walking area of downtown, but it is WELL worth the short walk.

Aldea coffee is the combination of amazing service, gorgeous atmosphere, and outstanding coffee.When aldea was getting their own place not right next to a bar I was stoked. Coffee shops always need their own atmosphere you can chill at, and I was lot let down. Aldea is adorable and it matches the taste of their amazing coffee and service. I cannot wait to go again.

I took my sister here on a quite busy Saturday afternoon, and I ordered a drink that I knew I liked, but she tried the monthly drink and did not like it, so she went up to purchase something else. The barista did not know she did not like the drink, but when she saw that she did not like it, she came back with a card for a free drink. Lets just say the barista is very observant and considerate to the customers needs and happiness! Thank you! I will be coming back!

Best coffee in the area! They made all their syrups in house, offer organic teas, a nice selection of bakery and wonderful breakfast items to compliment the coffee.The ambience of the shop is warm and welcoming! A must if you want excellent coffee.

Wonderful, chocolatey mochas and friendly service. Andrew was so kind and helpful, answering our many questions. The space is lovely and bright with beautiful succulents, including the spirit plant of the coffee shop, a gorgeous 30+ y.o. jade plant. Wonderful experience. Well definitely be back next year when were in town again from Houston.

These people use REAL Carmel. They spoon from a jar. WOW. This is no joke. Wonderful, beautiful drinks that feel more like art than anything. Wonderful people working here. I’m so happy I stopped by.

I love that they have all different kinds of places to sit, like a comfy couch, a huge long table, and even a low table to kneel or sit on the floor. The whole space is bright, airy, and comfortable.Even more importantly, I love the people who work here! They are genuinely interested in you and make an effort to know your name. I love that they care about producing an excellent product for their customers as well as providing a living wage for their suppliers.

Very delicious coffee, very nice atmosphere. Chairs could be more comfy, but its not bad. Prices are as expected, could be better, but they are expected.Only real problem I had was the age of the staff, bit young, young enough to not show a lot of common courtesy like please and thank you. I didnt have any bad interactions, just lack luster ones.

Best coffee shop atmosphere in muskegon. Even though Drip drop and coffee factory not to far behind. I give Aldea the slight edge for taste and for comfortable space they provide. Plus its my understanding that they will have a coffee shop in a challenging neighborhood. Which means to me they take pride in where they are from.

Aldea has been the only place that I have ever been able to call home! This coffee shop is more than a stop to get your fix of caffeine and help you function throughout the day. It is a safe zone. When youre having a less than great day and you need to breathe, when you need to block out distractions to submit that assignment that you probably shouldve worked on prior to the day before it was due, or when you need a positive environment to catch up with your friends/family, Aldea is the perfect place for them all. Every single employee brings a unique personality to the table that diversifies the positive vibes that are flowing freely! All are welcome, all are accepted, and all are loved at Aldea! They are family. Also, their coffee is pretty flippin rad!!!
