Very good food. It was a bit if a wait for our food but it was made to order so we appreciated it.

The food was cooked wonderfully, but the sides lacked favor. Nothing was hot. The service was great and it was very clean. I will try it again soon.

Good food. You can only get white or dark not mixed chicken. I asked for a breast leg and wing and was told I can get a beast and two wings no biggie. I ask for an ice water and was told Id be charged for a full drink amount. Not very cool with me. I dont mind paying for water but not full price. The order taker was very on the abrasive side. She was stuffing he mouth with food and on the verge of being rude to everyone she talked to. A big thank you to the young man that cleaned the glass i broke in the parking lot. I ask to clean it myself but he insisted so I tried to tip him a fiver but he put it in with the mixed tips which really bothered me. He definitely deserved that tip for going above and beyond for me. I also ordered extra cornbread I didnt get. So back in I went with miss abrasive. Prices where decent food was good. I hope the lady gets a new position in the back of the house as I dont feel comfortable going back.

This place was great!Honestly, 5 stars isnt enough. Polite staff, amazing food, reasonable price.Food was slower to come out than I expected, but when it arrived... I understood why. Everything was incredibly fresh and served hot. Best fried okra Ive found in the area. Greens were perfect. The Philly wasnt what Id call a traditional Philly cheese steak sandwich, but it was an incredible soul food take on it with the meat being well seasoned and perfectly spiced.I will be back. As often as I can. I dont live in Murfreesboro, but if Im eating there, I will be trying to do so here.

I just happened to be in murfreesboro and looked online and seen the local newspaper was having a black restaurants week. The first restaurant I saw was Bee Hive Bistro. I have seen the sign before but didnt realize it was black owned or soul food. I decided to give it a try. Im glad I did! The food was delicious! Even my picky teenage daughter ate every bite and she doesnt like anything. If you are reading this review go in there and support this young man. You wont be disappointed. I have already told my family members. I will definitely be back!

My daughter and I had the most wonderful food last weekend! She ordered the Buffalo Wings, I had the Philly Cheese Steak. The food was fabulous.. french fries look like they are hand cut. Service was friendly, and excellent. Would definitely eat there again!

Decided to try this place out for the first time and it was probably the most tender chicken I have ever eaten. I ordered the chicken plate and it was phenomenal. I will be returning !

Went on 5/20/21. Food was ok enough (chicken was juicy and the okra was crunchy and seasoned) for the price we paid, but not good enough that I would come back with the other issues. Stars were given for food alone. Bummer, I wanted to like the place, bc Id heard many good things.Beehive was not clean inside, we arrived just after opening and the trash can inside the dining area (bus your own table) was full already. We arrive at like 11:05. No way that trash was from today. The floor was sticky all around the dining area. Had to go to 3 different tables to find a ketchup container with any in it. Salt shaker on the table was sticky as well.

I have done to-go and dine in and had great experiences with both. Fantastic good, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. If you want a meat and two this is the place to go!

I finally was able to visit this location and ordered there smoked wings after a co worker introduced me to them! The smoked wings are phenomenal you guys so good, like how can something be so good. The fried okra is divine if you are an okra lover like myself. Yum yum yummmy. The cornbread is so deliciously sweet, moist and not at all dry! I can not lie I expected a Popeyes biscuit consistency but noooo sir. When I want to treat myself to a work lunch this definitely an option to always consider. I rated this location 4 stars primarily because of the website. It is a bit dated and navigation is a bit strenuous and certain items for certain days do not display accurately, for example sold out for the day items.*UPDATE* 5 stars because they have updated there website since my original review and THAT folks is how you listen to your rational customer reviews and apply it okuuuur.

I had the chicken plate, very good! Leg and thigh with fries and fried pickles (cuz I wanted to try them). The fries were good, and tasted great. The fried pickles were definitely different! Instead of coins they were sliced length wise, and had a good taste as well! Husband had the chicken sandwich, he loved it.

Majority of the items on menu they didnt have or no longer sold. The greens tasted like the whole salt container was dumped in one 1 serving of greens. Mac n cheese was dry and unseasoned. not enough cheese. The cornbread, white beans, and fried okra was decent. The sweet potatoes was mashed soupy sweet potato syrup. This was my first visit and probably last. If I do go back Ill try the wings, they looked good.

The fried chicken is always on point for me. They cook it fresh to order, so its always hot and seasoned well. The sweet potatoes, collard greens, green beans and fried okra are my favorite and so good. Top it all off with the cornbread. My only complaint is 1 cornbread, we need 2. LolThe owners are really nice and will go out thier way to give you a great food experience. This is my all time favorite fried chicken spot. They do sale other things. Try them and enjoy.

Wow, so so good!! I had fried pickles and fried chicken because they were out of fried catfish. I would the call ahead if youre trying to order something specific just in case they ran out. The fried pickles were different but good and crunchy. The fried chicken, oh my goodness were so succulent and juicy hence, no picture because I ate it so fast. KFC and Popeyes do not compare to the chicken served here. Very friendly people working here. My coworkers eat here a lot and recommended that I try it out. I will definitely be back to try the other meals. Thank you for the great experience!

Came here for a quick lunch and my experience was amazing. Not only was the food delicious but the staff was more than helpful and the atmosphere was lovely. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! I highly recommend Bee Hive Bistro to my friends and family.

I have wanted to stop here multiple times but never had until today. Let me just say I have been missing out. If you are looking for good soul food or meat and three or some of the cooking you use to get at grandmas on Sunday this is the place. They have a wide variety and change up the menu day today. They have wing Wednesday and smoked Thursday. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this place. The service was great and the food even better.

We went for the fried fish (OMIGOSH--until today, I thought fried fish was just a tarter sauce delivery device, but I didnt adulterate this crunchy, delicious fish with it at all!). Tried four of the sides and each one had something unique and different about it. Support local! Try them! Next door to Waffle House at Mercury & Rutherford in Murfreesboro.And youve gotta love that the owner walks through to make sure every customer is happy!

This is one of the most delicious places in which Ive eaten. I absolutely enjoyed everything on the menu. From the pork chops and vegetables to the bacon cheeseburger to the chicken and waffles. I cannot wait to eat there again!

Placed an order online, received the order confirmation and the payment processed. Went to pick it up at the pickup time (11:50 on a Saturday), and they weren’t even open. Waited until noon to see if they were opening late for some reason, but they were still closed.Their website and Google says they open at 11 on Saturdays…

Everything was hot and homemade. Its definitely better soul food then some others. The mac and cheese could have used a bit more cheese. The corn bread is the BEST corn bread Ive ever had! The fried chicken and fried pork chops are very well seasoned. However, if you are sodium sensitive, it may be too salty for you. That goes for most of the food we had. Thats the reason for me giving it 4 stars.All in all, the food was delicious. So if youre in the mood for some soul food, give bee hive a try.

The best fried chicken I’ve ever had! My second time eating here and I will come back (from Ohio) every time I visit! The mashed potatoes are from scratch and everything was made fresh! The fries were amazing! The banana pudding and peach cobbler, oh boy! Like a little kid in a candy store! If u haven’t ate here, u are missing out! The owner and his staff are super friendly and his dining area was very clean and inviting.

Great southern/comfort/meat&2 type place. Counter service. We got fried chicken and fried fish. Spicy added just a bit more flavor without being too spicy. Food was freshly cooked and HOT. My favorites were the sides. Collards, mashed sweet potatoes and a garlicky mashed potato...so good. Everything was fresh and hot, not cafeteria quality. Drink machine needed some tweaking. Clean and spacious sitting area. Prices reasonable for the quality-$9.45 plates. The cinnamon roll was so good. Thats all.

I love the chicken. I cant get enough of the chicken. I have to pace myself. This is where the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd suppers were invented. And then theres the last supper where you run out of chicken. I have two pieces of chicken per supper. I can pace myself. I can do this! Wait! Whats that? An idea? Save some for breakfast! ... But what if the wife gets up in the middle of the night and eats it?Dramatic? Yes. But Im trying to share with you, the person who is still reading this, that their food is delicious. The Bee Hive Bistro is the definition of soul food and southern hospitality. A generous portion of delicious food for a good price. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

This was the first time and the last time we will eat there. The major issue is the food is too salty.I wish the best to any small business. We went at almost 3 in the afternoon and they had to cook the catfish out in the truck.The sides were mostly from a can. I dont know what else to tell you, except I prefer fresh food.

The new chicken sandwich is more than delightful. From the soft, sweet Hawaiian roll, to the fresh crisp lettuce and the perfectly crunchy pickles, you cannot go wrong. The chicken is breaded just right and cooked to a perfectly juicy state. it is finished off with a homemade sauce that gives it the perfect sweet finish. I dare you to try it, and you will never stand in line for that chain restaurant again.

I genuinely enjoyed their food (greens, mac-n-cheese, pot roast, turkey and dressing, etc.). I also miss the convenience of them being a few minutes from me in LaVergne, but their journey has taken them to Smyrna, which I am all for. The food is definetly worth the few extra miles so I certainly see myself visiting in support of the reopening. I am hoping the new place still has that family vibe going on. The owner and his staff are awesome and provide great service and delicious food. I wish them all the best of luck on their relocation.

I liked this place the fried chicken was great staff was friendly. The pecan cobbler was amazing, baked beans were good and the greens were awesome flavored just right with a little spice to very good. Will be returning to try more

For $15 i got catfish white beans mac n cheese corn bread peach cobbler and a drink. Oh my f****** god! This is amazing. They are awesome at what they do. Everything cooked perfectly and big portions.

The Honey Hole is an honest place that know what it is about, Soul Food as advertised. It is reasonable priced, and you get what you pay for. If you are pressed for time, go here. Dont go to a fast food chain. They are just as fast, they have a drive-thru, and the food is FAR better for the price you are paying.

This place should be ashamed of themselves for calling this soul food. Had the fried chicken, catfish, green beans and mashed potatoes.The chicken was completely lacking any seasoning, and it was so dry. Never in my life had fried meat that dry. Catfish wasn’t good either, mushy and under seasoned. Huge disappointment.

Yaaassss!! Im a big fan of local meet & threes. H&Ts is a favorite of mine, but this place is closer and even better. Came in this evening and took home food for the family. Best ribs Ive had in years and great service with a couple of lovely gentlemen running the place. Ill absolutely be back.

My family and I love this restaurant. Weve been coming here since they were just a foodtruck! The pot roast, meatloaf, fried fish and banana pudding are my personal favorites. I recently asked them to cater for a holiday work event and it was a huge success. My coworkers are STILL talking about the peach cobbler! Im already looking forward to them catering my next event.

I got the fried chicken sweet potatoes and mac n cheese I was very disappointed I sat down and trued to eat my chicken it was loaded with salt so bad that I ended up throwing it away the mac n cheese was like boxed not baked homeade mac n cheese the sweet potatoes where good but then again how could anyone mess that up its simple to make . You live and learn I will not be spending a dime there ever again and they are to pricey especially when its canned sweet potatoes boxed mac n cheese no home style cooking at all just boxed and to salty I like flavor not salt YIKES NEVER AGAIN

I went to the location on Wednesday for their Wings Wednesday special. The wings was okay but not hot (taste) like before, I ordered the Honey Heat. Also I asked for ranch dress for the wings, did not get that with my order. I was super bummed that I had not received the dressing, thats what makes the wings complete ( my opinion). But I cant blame them, they had a NEW employee working the drive through at the time. I work in the area so I will return on future lunches, since there is not much of a selection on restaurant in the area to go for lunch.

Not a good experience. Have been to the restaurant a couple times with mixed experiences. This time I had a carryout order of two fried chicken breast sandwiches. They were obviously cooked earlier, no seasoning and bone dry. Very disappointed. Not sure Ill keep patronizing this establishment. Try to patronize small businesses, but the product isnt worth it.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant 3 separate times and there is no consistency. The first time was great. The second time they ran out of food before they even closed which I know happens but this third time was the deal breaker I went in at 12 and waited 1 full hour for supposedly some jiffy bread to be cooked after waiting 1 hour the girl ask do u just want some rolls and I’m thinking I’ve seen at least 6 customers come eat their food inside and all while I’m still waiting on some jiffy bread to make a long story short I waited 1 hour for jiffy bread to cook all to wait and find out they never even started cooking the bread and no apology actually they got an attitude because at this time u could tell I wasn’t happy this could have been a good new business to the area but the customer service and consistentcy absolutely sucks and I will never go back

I love the Honey Hole. I havent had anything that wasnt delicious. Today I tried the Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and cabbage. I had to control myself from saying Mmmm after every bite.

Really good soul food is hard to find these days. THIS PLACE HAS IT!!! Phenomenal from the meats to the sides!!!! I encourage people to check them out. If you havent you are missing the boat. 6stars!
