I love this store!But recently at the deli counter, their is a new lady behind the counter not wearing her mask.Not only is her mask under her chin, she is constantly talking while slicing the deli meat.

This Jewel-Osco often times has great sales which is why I shop here from time to time and the staff is generally friendly but that was not my experience today. The staff from the deli, to those stocking the shelves, to the cashier just seem to be frustrated and not a smiling face to be seen. I overheard an employee talking about how another employee just left for the day because she couldn’t take it anymore.I get it, these are challenging times and businesses are short staffed and that will wear anyone out, so I feel for them. Managers need to find a way to motivate employees so they feel better about coming to work.

Jewel has a great service staff. Friendly service and helpful knowledgeable workers ready to assist you. Good sales competitive pricing.

WORST STORE EVER nobody cares in the store no one does their job a lot of people slack off. I came across a guy named Nick he was rude and unkind and he’s very lazy. The manager is rude his name is Scott. Very poor management. THIS STORE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY.

The manager refused to honor my 20% off grocery purchase after showing my 5 prescriptions have been refilled and stamped. I explained to her that I have them refilled and she said she won’t give me 20% off and was very rude. Worst customer service I have received.

Great place for groceries. A little pricey but have great sales. Always a lot of employees to assist and of they run out of a sale item they will issue a rain check.

Its my neighborhood grocery store, prices have gotten better and parking lot is more fuller. It really says a lot when the parking lot is full, its because you must be doing something right. I love your bakery, on the flip side, I wish I can see small portions on your pastries and the price to match it with! Im not eating too much sugar, just portion control, so let me see $1.99 deals for portion size. Thank you for all your hard work!!

Not too big but has everything you need. Their fried and grilled chickens are good. Roasted chickens have little flavor so be careful with those.

Jewelry is all right. Not much more you can go here and expect more for. Moderately high price for food but it is what it is

Woman at meat dept. very rude. Wanted to pick out my own porterhouse steaks and was told I could get them out of the case myself. Had to tell her again I wanted to pick the ones in the case. If I am spending 13.99 a pound I shouldnt have to be treated like Im a burden.

Clean. Moved store around and made it easier to find what you need. Fruits and vegetables looked good. Food cooked and ready to serve very good.

Live in Peoria now. Miss shopping at Jewel. Wish they had one here.

Wanted to buy some beer that was on sale there wasnt any on the shelf (only room for maybe 6 cases on shelf) . I thought it might be on an end cap or in the middle of an asile but couldnt find any. Asked for help and a lady came right away told her what I wanted she started looking on the shelves ( I already looked) I could tell she was very busy and was talking to someone on a headset she told me there was no more I asked if she was sure because it didnt take long to get an answer. She started walking away and said something pertaining to the beer I think. I didnt know if she was talking to me or not, she really didnt give me a clear answer. I know she was busy but needs a little training on customer service and take time for a customers concerns, and if Jewel would stick more sales items I wouldnt have had to bother the lady at all.

Some of the workers are so RUDE!! NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL!! I went to self check out and the person over that area had such a bad disposition. Thats not the first time Ive been there and workers especially the cashiers and front end people act rude and talk down toward some customers. They seem judgemental. This goes for both older and younger workers. But I will give a shout out to the lady who waited on me and my friend in the hot food area. She was friendly and very nice. I wish I knew her name.

I absolutely love Jewels Caesar chicken salad. I grew up eating it from the ones in Chicago and it’s exactly the same! Definitely recommend trying it!

Todays visit at I-Hop was a waste of our time. 😔. After being seated it took the waitress 20.minutes to come over and ask what beverages we wanted. Shortly thereafter we placed our breakfast orders.Once the Orders arrived to our table it was discovered that my brothers order was incorrect being that there was no onions, cheese or bell pepper inside his steak egg omelet. As I asked for a spoon to stir the cream and sugar into my coffee, the waitress said, Oh, if I can find one. I said to her that Id be fine with a plastic spoon. Her response to that was we dont have any. Our truck didnt come in yet. Okay, Ill just use the knife to stir the coffee. I told her that this was a terrible experience. She apologized but it was not a good day gor me today at I-Hop in Lansing, Il

Have you even had a class of how to pack groceries prior to your employees packing our groceries???? If so, it’s time to review!I spent 175 bucks and it got shoved into 4 brown bags! My fresh cilantro was at the total bottom under apples and deli bologna. I didn’t just pick that bunch up, no I passed 3 bunches before choosing the one I did and now it’s been destroyed. My deli cheese was folded over on the corner so one side is now triangle shaped. I’m not petty. This is a constant. So I’m sure I am not the only one. Please train properly, that’s a lot of money for odds and ends for the weeks meals. Sincerely, a long time customer.

Is Jewel seems to be very high in prices. Possibly pandemic prices I dont know we got to do better its about saving. Hopefully they would throw some good sales.

Good spot to go get fresh food! Great organization and easy to find what I needed. Some of your favorite deli meats already prepared to avoid waiting in the number line. Cashiers and baggers were pleasant and helpful

I am sure I would not give Jewel-Osco four stars if didnt have the ap. It really does save a lot of money and its so much easier than the days of paper couponing. I knocked off one star because almost every time I check out there is an item that needs to be adjusted. And I also think its silly to have that extra step in the ap of moving your clipped coupon to your cart.The picture is just something silly I found on my last shopping trip. Its usually quite clean. The store is also well lit unlike Stracks in Munster.

I have to say Tom in the dairy department went above and beyond in helping me with my shopping experience. He is a great employee.

The pharmacy is the best around! All staff is very friendly and helpful. They make sure youre informed on any medication. Im happy to have found this out. Wont go anywhere else anymore!

This evening I witness a HR problem. The cashier had a problem with a customer. A mgr rectified that issue and the next customer was rung up. Just before finishing that order another employee told the cashier that the manager wanted to see her. At that point, the cashier put the closed sign in front of my groceries. I had been in-line for 10 minutes and there were 2 others behind me. At that point, I gathered my groceries and moved to another line. While waiting again the chatter said the cashier was fired and/or she quit.First thing if the mgr wanted to talk with cashier she should have approached her not by a coworker to relay the msg.Second issue, the mgr should have spoke to the cashier directly that she would like to speak with her on her next break.Third, the mgr should have never caused that scene in front of coworkers let alone in front of all customers that were in the checkout lines!If employee is not performing as expected that should be talked through in a private meeting. Not in front of peers and customers.That manager could use couching!

Found most of what I needed easily. I had to ask about one item and I thought it was in a strange location. The parking lot is good with multiple entrances and exits.

Usually stocked and decent prices somewhat overall. Somewhat clean, parking lot is always full. Only thing is the baggers need to be more careful bagging soft items and such. Workers are somewhat friendly overall OK store.

The groceries are a bit over priced but the quality of the seafood is outstanding. The older lady with the blonde hair that works at the seafood station is not very personable.

Every time I go to Jewel its very clean. The ladies behind the Deli are very friendly. Friendly staff. The only thing I do not like, and its not all the time, but the young Cashiers talking amongst themselves and not focusing on the customers. Other than that I love this place! I will continue to shop here.

This is a good store to shop. They have almost anything your looking for. My only complaint is Im handicap and they only have a few battery operating carts in which I have to find another store to shop.

Their prices are high for ready-made food. Additionally the wait times for their deli is too long. There have been too many times when I was standing at the deli with many other customers waiting to be served, and there are 3 to 5 employees staffing the deli but only 1 or 2 of the employees are actually attending to customers. It seems to me that they could better prioritize attending to customers.On a positive side, their ready-made food is good. Their hot wings and apple pie are really good. A criticism of their apple pie is that it small and they charge about $7 for the pie. Sometimes the pie goes on sale for $4, which I think is a reasonable price given the size.

I went in to buy a bag of ice and I was in a bit of a hurry and every lane that was open was full. I asked the lady at customer service to ring it, she said, no we dont check people up here, youll have to get in line. Did I mention it was a 20 lb bag and melting by the minute; And Ive been there and had stuff checked out up there if the lines were full. Bummer! Not nice!

Jewel in Munster is one great store! There deli employees are what make this store so Great! They have a smile for every customer no matter how many people are in line to be served.One thing Id like to see is paper towels in the vegetable and meat section.

A wonderful shopping experience . Open aisles well lit for viewing items on the shelves. Fresh fruits and vegetables of all varieties with colors that pop are truely a treat. A full deli selection of meats, cheeses and breads to tempt your taste buds. Also fresh grilled and fried chicken ready for your consumption, so delicious. Fresh cuts of meats and fresh caught seafood are in ample supply. A chain store that has been in the same locations for generations. Quality foods and groceries at a reasonable price. Stop by and fill your cart up you wont be sorry.

I stopped shopping at Jewels old school for many years because of their ridiculous prices I happen to return looking for a item that was hard to find doing my visit I came across the signatures frozen pizza for $2.99 I was surprisingly impressed in my opinion it is a damn good pizza I will return to stock up

Baggers are horrible!!! They put my bananas at the bottom of my cart and when I told them my bananas were getting smashed they made comments about how many bags I had. The alleles are always blocked with boxes and a total mess. Worst jewel ever!!!!

Very clean very neat store but crazy high overly priced because of the location in munster! Almost 5$ for a gallon of milk, cake mix that was $3 a box !! Thats a bit ridiculous to me! I purchased 2 boxes of filo dough,Kerri gold butter & a small box of chocolates an it was $31!!! I went to aldis an got 25 items on my list an I barely spent $32

Would be 5 stars ...but this is an older prototype store with slightly smaller footprint which means some items are not available ...But been a cornerstone for as long ad I have been around

One of my fav stores. Always stocked and very helpful workers. Also love the self checkout which save me from long lines.

Upon arrival to the store, I asked an employee collecting the baskets about their mulch which was outdoors. He immediately gave me a cart and instructions on what would be the best way to get the product. I was able to load my basket with 6 large bags of mulch and go inside and pay for them without any time spent waiting in line. The store was cool and not crowded. I would definitely recommend this store as a good place to shop.
