I have been trying to get a hitch installed on my car for over a month. I initially made an appointment that I forgot about, took ownership of my mistake and apologized. I rescheduled the appointment to drop off my car. I went to u-haul when I thought I was supposed to and was told that my appointment was not for another week and that the part had not arrived yet. So, if my part had not arrived the first time, how did I miss my appointment in the first time? Anyway, I showed up today only to be told that there was nothing for me. After searching, the person told me someone had moved my appointment to Wednesday, yet nobody called to tell me so. I work full-time so I cannot just take off work, only to be told someone moved my appointment without any prior notice. When you show up to u-haul, its always a wait time, not all, but some of the staff are rude.

I reserved three storage boxes three weeks ahead of time… the day before they were schedule to be delivered, uhaul cancelled the order, saying they didn’t have any storage boxes available. THE DAY BEFORE. They were like “yeah, sorry… want to rent a truck?” Now I have three days to figure out a place to store all my belongings and find a way to haul it, because I sure as hell won’t be renting a truck from uhaul ever again if I can help it.

It absolutely amazing staff starting from the manager through all of the employers. I rented storage unit and tracks through them more than one time they have always been collaborative and try to help with everything they can. Absolutely I recommend this place because they are obviously not here just for money they are here to help. Thank you guys, you will always be my choice. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

It is crazy how bad this place is! I had issues that I called about after the rental and the guy I spoke to was rude and completely unwilling to work with me or even hear me out. On top of that I did the online check-in for a truck that was reserved 3 months prior to picking it up and still had to wait in line for over an hour.

Rented a small trailer a few weeks in advance. On the way to Moscow, the day before my rental, they called and said they didn’t have anything available. They told me they have one for me in Lewiston. Had to drive an hour and a half(round trip) to get a trailer. I asked for a discount as I had to help them do their job. A matter of fact “Sorry we don’t do that” was the response i got. The business is poorly run and the customer service is terrible. Just can’t recommend this place. Nothing like an undependable moving company when you are away from home. Might work for you but keep in mind you are rolling the dice.

Basically the staff there know nothing about my reservation. I have reserved a 15 Van. When I arrived there in the morning, I was told that no van is available. They dont know where the van is, if I can get it by today or not? Basically they know nothing. Well, I understand they have a system that schedules all the vans. The thing make me angry is they gave me a number to call and reschedule my order. I called, waited for ~5min until a lady picked up. She told me that she didnt have the authority to change my reservation and she need to point me to another staff. I wait for another ~5min and another lady gave me the same answer and point me to again another staff. I was in the loop for 3-4 times and didnt get any useful info. Finally a lady gave me a number which is the Idaho regional office, I called, waited for 5min and was told I should call the Spokane regional office. Well, called the Spokane one and then redirected back to the Idaho office. I spent 1h to get to the right person that can help me !!!

I reserved a trailer at the Moscow, ID location THREE MONTHS IN ADVANCE because I knew that my time frame coincided with the end of spring semester for two nearby universities and I wanted to ensure that U-Haul would hold a trailer for me in the size that I needed. Less than 24 hours before I am scheduled to pick up the trailer, I received a phone call from someone in Spokane saying that the Moscow location doesn’t have any available, and then I will be required to drive to another city to pick one up. I point out that I have just been by the Moscow location within the past couple of days and noted several trailers on the lot in the size I requested. I was told that “those are for local rentals”. Whaaaat? Then I asked when those reservations were made, i.e., were the reservation dates earlier than when I made my reservation three months ago, and was told that the person “couldn’t tell”. Hmmm. Now I see by other reviews that this is a pretty common occurrence at this location. I also requested that instead of me having to go out of my way to another town to pick up the trailer, could they have the trailer delivered to Moscow, so that I could pick it up at my original reservation time and place. Of course not! “That’s not how we do it.” Well, after renting from U-Haul for many,many years, I can now say that, as well. This will be our last rental with this company (and that’s only because we really have no other options at this point). After this week, “that’s not how we do it” when it comes to renting trucks/trailers anymore. Clearly, having a large U-Haul located in the Moscow/Pullman area seems like it would be a nice convenience when it comes to renting a truck or trailer, but BUYER BEWARE. Just know the risk you are taking before you reserve anything here, and walk in with your eyes wide open.

They do not care about customers. Employee waited 15 minutes messing with their phone and tools until it was 5:00 to say they were closed and we could do the online return.

Heated storage cannot be beat in this area. If youre ever storing in Moscow, I highly recommend storing in a heated facility. Ive stored through a winter before without, and I will never do it again!

I really thought U-Haul Storage of Moscow did a great job. Pickup was quick and easy using the online form, the van I rented was very clean and ready to go, drop-off was also quick and easy despite being after hours. The only complaint I have, although rather small, was that I had to drive to Pullman and back because the Pullman location was closed which increased the cost to around $50 to rent the van and drive it 25 miles over two hours, of those 25 miles, 16 were just to get to my house and back.Definitely would use again though based on this experience, very helpful for making moving easy.

These guys took care of me and my wife when we were moving. They were exceedingly helpful and thoughtful. They gave us breaks and helped make sure we had the best equipment for what we needed to do. Will absolutely use them in the future if in the area.

Absolutely horrendous customer service.I had a one way rental booked here for several weeks and get a call less than 24hrs prior to my pick up that the equipment I need the next day will not be available. They move our reservation to a location an hour away that opens two hours later... Im shocked that their policy is to notify customers of changes like this the day before theyre expecting to pick up.

Reserved a truck and trailer a week ago. Got a call the day before my appointment, they wouldnt have the truck I requested but if I wanted I could get their largest truck and pay an extra dollar per mile!Wow what a great deal, sorry I have no interest paying 300$ in mileage to move a car.

We reserved a trailer 2 weeks in advance for the Moscow location and they called 2 days ahead to tell us we would have to drive 3 hours round trip to pick it up. Why dont they have runners to move the trailers themselves? It is not acceptable to expect the customer to do it! The lady we talked to was rude and not at all helpful. Thank you to Pendle for getting us a truck on a moments notice!

They installed a hitch on my subaru and did a great job. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The guy who installed the hitch, Matt, did a nice job. When the new hitch left a rattle against the muffler, Matt was able to take care of it when I came back with the right parts. (I wish I didnt need to bring the parts myself, and they just took care of it the first time, but that seems like a frustrating company policy). Very friendly staff.

The uHaul Truck Associate - Jacob Wheat was very most helpful and knowledgeable. He made renting quick and easily reliable.

Helped us out of a bind! We pulled in needing trailer lights in a fully loaded homemade trailer. The employees were friendly and gave us a quote that was VERY competitive - basically an hour of shop time. The job went south. Instead of being able to use the existing wiring, they had to rewire. The frame was some kind of hardened steel that broke their drill bits. Blood was shed, words were not said. The job went on to a second day, and they held the loaded trailer in their repair bay, inconveniencing them. When it came time to pay, I expected the price to be well above the quoted price. Instead, they stuck with their original quote and the manager said, dont worry, we got your back. Thank you so much - we didnt have funds to spare at that time, so it meant a lot!

Staff there are very friendly and helpful!The technology they’re using to make reservations is complete garbage. Three computers crashed within 10 minutes of us being there, the reservation program exited out 4 times on one machine, the ‘touch screen’ doesn’t work on the card reader, and I had to re-enter all of my information because none of it was transferred from my online reservation.TL;DR: Great customer service. Uhaul SERIOUSLY needs a technology update, so try not to get mad at them when their tech doesn’t work.

I rented a car hauler from the Lewiston store off of D Street. On way back through Moscow heading to destination, I realized my right taillight was out. I saw the the Moscow store was still open at 7:10 PM on 11/30/19 so I pulled in. As I was walking toward the door, the two clerks realize the lights were still on along with the open sign. They scrambled as fast as they could to turn off all the lights. I stopped walking and look at them like did this just happen. I attempted to talk through the window and tell them I had a problem with my trailer I rented and would like swap it out or possibly fix the taillight. They both ignore me until I raise my voice so they can hear. The one farthest from the window looks at me and shakes her head like there is nothing they can or will do about it. I walk away to get my rental contract so I can get the number to customer service. After attempting to get customer service, I walk back toward the door to try and get some help since the clerk was now near the door. They rapidly attempt to lock it as I stand 10 feet away asking for them to help. They open the door, tell me they are closed and there is nothing they can or will do about it. “The only reason why we are still here is because we were helping the customer that just left, we can’t do anything for you.” I walked off telling them “noted, Moscow, Idaho U-Haul, sucks.” The customer service is by far lacking, disgusting, and the worst you could expect from a U-Haul. Go the extra distance, avoid Moscow, Idaho U-Haul.

Polite and friendly staff. Van was clean and brand new. I left my wallet in their van overnight, the next morning they called me to come pick it up. My wallet still had everything in it including money!

I rented a uhaul awhile back and I just wanted to thank Angelica Diaz for being so amazing and kind. She helped me from the moment I walked in to the moment I pulled away. She made sure the trailer was completely hooked up right and everything! Highly recommend having her help you when you go in. She’s the best!

Im forced to give one star for my experience even tho the staff give 5-star service. The problems were all having are due to the business owner. He goes into the database and changes reservations from one vehicle to another - without telling them or us.So although I went in 8 days beforehand and reserved the 10 truck his staff recommended for hauling a partners desk and queen bed -- on a VERY busy Saturday morning we all discovered that my reservation had been changed BY HIM to a van. It took more than an hour, with more than a dozen customers waiting, for them to find a way to get me back into a vehicle that could haul my load.5 stars and heartfelt kudos to these four men for their patience, determination and courtesy. Zero stars and 50 lashes with a wet noodle to the man they work for!

Apparently there is only one staff member that can do anything. Tried to get a propane tank filled. Rang the bell for service three times with not even any kind of acknowledgement. Finally caudght the guy and asked and he was said it would be a while since he’s the only one there but had no sense of urgency from him as he leisurely strolled around the lot looking for something and leisurely strolled back to the building several times. And helped other people that arrived after I did first. When he finally came over didn’t even say a word to me until asking for payment.

UPDATE:We tried to cancel 2 days ago so that we would not get charged $230 for renting a UHaul, since we are now switching to Penske. They did not even cancel the reservation, not sure if this was on purpose, but we would have gotten charged by UHaul and Penske when only renting through 1. They have very dishonest service and you can clearly hear in their voice that they do not care about the customer or their job, just there to make some money. Only upside to this situation was that their call center called us today to let us know where we could pick up our rental truck. Thank you call center, no thank you Moscow UHaul.DO NOT RENT THROUGH MOSCOW UHAUL.PREVIOUS:Absolutely horrible service. We are trying to move down from Moscow to Boise right after college. We called in to move our time period up 1 day, lone behold, we cant do that because they werent scheduled to have a single 15 truck for who knows how long. They ended up scheduling 4 other people to the exact same truck that we were looking to rent, hopefully those people arent in a rush to get across the state if they try to stick with UHaul. They offered a 26 truck, but couldnt even guarantee we would be able to get it. USE PENSKE IN LEWISTON. YES IT IS AN HOUR ADDITIONAL TOTAL BUT IT IS THE SAME PRICE AND THEY GUARANTEE YOU WILL GET THE TRUCK SINCE THEY HAVE RUNNERS TO MOVE TRUCKS FROM LOCATION TO LOCATION.

Tried to get propane, rang bell and pulled my tank out of my car, Two employees were at the truck return area working on trucks, both of them saw me there and didnt acknowledge me, waited about ten minutes for anyone (maybe they were busy ?) to say anything, started to walk inside saw three more employees smoking on the side of building, Followed one of the employees that was working on the truck outside, in the front door. He went behind the counter after seeing me, grabbed a bite of his lunch and ask what he could do for me, while chewing. He informed me that the propane didnt work, I asked him why he didnt tell me that when he saw me outside and he said I thought you were going inside I told him I rang the bell and no one said anything to me, he informed me the bell doesnt work either. Well maybe someone should be aware of the customers trying to business with you. Obviously they where not busy, no one was in the store. Sorry to say I dont think I will be doing business here again, just a little service goes a long way. All you had to do is acknowledge your customer and let them know the propane isnt working, no big deal, but to purposely ignore your customers !

Angelica Diaz was awsome she made my rental experience a great one. Especially since it was a very short notice rental. I recommend her 100%. And on return she was same way. Plus renting a storage space. Moscow’s uhaul rocks especially if it’s with Angelica. I will be back ...

These guys are awesome! I’ve had to rent a van and trucks from them a couple times to move my home and some items. They found me the right vehicle for my price range and what I was looking for. I always recommend my friends and family. They are super helpful and knowledgeable. They are crazy busy since they are the only uhaul in this little town so make sure you schedule ahead! I wish there was more options in this area. Its like the others said in their reviews. I made a reservation well in advance. The day before I needed the 17 ft. truck they called and let know they only have a cargo van or I can get a truck the next day. What is the point of reservations if they dont honor them?Edit: It isnt completely fair to poorly review this specific uhaul. The workers are nice, if overworked. Really its the corporate/dispatch that deserves 1 star for terrible service. I guess it gets like this every year around this time. I wonder if they will ever get better?

We made a reservation here a week in advance. When we got her to pick up our truck we were told that we would have to drive to another location which was almost 2 hours away to pick it up! So thats a 4 hour round trip for us just to get a truck. I will never ever go here again! The customer service is horrible.

So far so good with this place. Convenient and rentals always seem to be there and ready when you need them. They do lack some common sense accessories, but Wal-Mart is a 1/4 mile away with whatever else you may need.

I entered the office and three people were behind the counter and the two men promptly left. One mumbled that the woman at the counter would help us once she was off the phone! This town needs some competition!!

I made a reservation for a 10 truck and an auto transport over a week in advance, and when I arrived to pick it up they said that all the had where 20 trucks ( when there where 10 truck in the parking lot but where restricted ) nobody called me to let me know of this change and I really didnt need that much space for my studio apartment. Long wait and a lot of workers where messing around with the girl worker on shift. They computers had glitches and I guess kept shutting down.

We reserved a truck 10 days in advance, no problem. However, on moving day, we discovered that they had cancelled our reservation without notification or explanation. The employee said that they were triple reserved on several trucks. I am sorry to say I will cannot rely on this business to help when I need them.

Worst U-Haul I’ve been to in my life. After my card not working on their system (it has before and has money in the account) I had to reserve it online while standing at their counter. After they try running my card AGAIN, it won’t work. So I leave to pull cash out, yet the genius doesn’t inform me they don’t take cash on the pick ups. So I ask for a different truck at this point. For some reason or another they tried charging me even more for the same rates. Never even got my truck. HUGE WASTE OF TIME HERE. Do yourself a favor and go to the Pullman location. In and out in five minutes.

Had the worst Uhaul experience ever and will not be returning to the Moscow location for any reason in the future. The customer service rep, or lack there of, was very distracted by his phone, and female co-worker, and screwed the process to renting your smallest trailor up. After finally getting it right, after four attempts he finally gets to the end and informs me of a deposit for cash transactions ecen though they had my card already. Educate your staff. They arent to blame completely, by the looks of the other reviews these issues must trickle down from poor ownership and management.

Reserved a 15 truck with a tow dolly about a month in advance. Two days before the pickup date I get a call saying they had nothing smaller than a 26, BUT they would give me a discount so my total would be $230. I canceled and reserved a 16 truck and tow dolly from Penske for that same price. Why would I want to move my two-bedroom apartment with the largest truck U-Haul offers? Reservations apparently mean nothing to them.

This place scared me so bad I would not let them fill my propane tank. They walked out to my rev and said where’s the tank I pointed to under the car. They got confused I declared I would go somewhere else since they weren’t families with older tanks without the auto shut off. Really though they were scared to touch it.

I have rented many times from them (I dont own a truck), used the shipping crates, a few moving vans and most recently messed up an order for a trailer hitch that had to be pre-paid. They have always been professional and helpful, even when I messed up like this last time. Plan ahead to avoid the obvious busy times in this college town and you will have no problems here!

I went in to buy boxes. There was 1 other customer in the store. 2 other employees, no one greeted me, asked if they coukd help. When I asked where a certain size box was, the woman said she didnt know and then diverted her attention away from me, I collected several boxes and got in line. The person in front of me was taking quite a bit of time, another employee came in and stared gelping someone else who had come in. No one said a word to me at all, several more people came in and seemed to know the staff and started talking so I left without boxes. My husband went in a few hours later and experienced pretty close to the same thing so he lef . Im ordering boxes online, instead of trying to give my business to this establishment.

The moving van we got had lights out, electrical issues, and a few other problems that made me really nervous to drive it. It did get from place a to place b without blowing up but it did not look like it was in good shade when we dropped it off. Art least wet didnt get charged any extra fees.

Dont expect your reservation to be honored here, or have the staff care about customer service at all. I booked a 10ft truck weeks out so I could have it for moving house. 2 days before I was about move they sent a message saying we dont have ant 10ft trucks any more so you are now getting a 26ft truck. Managing a 10ft truck is easy, its basically a large van, but a 26ft truck is gigantic and extremely stressful to drive in downtown Seattle.There was no phone call to see if this was ok, no attempt on part of the company to solve their own problem, it was just this is whats happening, deal with it. No reimbursement for extra fuel cost and no empathy from the staff. Because I had to move this day and it was too late to book anywhere else I had to take this truck.The ride was terrible, bumpy the whole way because of bad suspension even on relatively flat roads. Their app sucks and their service staff sound like they hate when people call.Your moving day will be stressful enough as it is, dont make it more stressful with uhaul.

Called 2 weeks before we needed a 20 foot truck for an in-town move on a Saturday, made a reservation using my credit card. Was told Id get a call on that day to let me know what time to pick it up. Got a call on Friday and was informed that the truck Id made a reservation for just got rented out and wasnt available. I told them that this is an outrage and extremely inconvenient for us -- what good does it do to call ahead and reserve a truck then? They had no answer to that question. I was offered a lame apology and a bigger more expensive truck, and the kicker was that the truck they bait-and-switched me with was a one-way rental, meaning I couldnt turn it back in to where I picked it up like I had arranged to do in the beginning. I was extremely unhappy with the outcome of this experience, although the gentleman at the Pullman Ace Hardware store was very nice and patient about serving me when I turned the truck back in. Moscow U-Haul needs to get their act together or there will be more negative reviews. One star is all they get from me.

Needed propane for a last minute bbq. Called before we headed over as we live on the other side of town. They told me they were open until 7 and to come on over. Not 15 minutes later when I arrived I was told that Id have to wait 20 minutes because they were on their lunch break. Seriously ?!? Im sorry what?!? Will not be back for anything thank you for the amazingly crapy service go to Hahn rental! They actually want to provide services and treat you as a valued customer!

I bought some nice boxes for cheap, they worked well for containing things.

Good place to get boxes, never used other services. As an aside, apparently the company has some outdated sexist proceedures in their lack of moisture wicking shirts available for women emplyees, which is seriously needed in this hot weather.

Renting in Spokane was awesome; returning in Moscow sucked.

Reserved a small truck for moving. Got call saying it was rented out. Yes I got a bigger truck but it costs more gas to move. The only reason they did that is otherwise you get 50 bucks from their website for not having your reservation.
