Have been coming here for over 5 years and I come from ontario. Ive been to many different places but i only come here now for all of my vehicles . The staff are kind and respectful and MOST importantly HONEST. They will not tell you to repair or replace something if it does not need it. In a world where every thing is about the almighty dollar. This staff goes by the motto treat people right, honest and fair and they will be back and I am proof. Good job sears auto of Montclair Ill be back! (I have too, you have my car.)

Mall location. Used their services for sedan. Nice, but perhaps not informed on physics of how imbalanced wheels can cause decreased mpgs. They balanced the wheels nonetheless; thanks

I brought in my vehicle for an oil change. When I drove off, I noticed the check engine light lit up on my screen so I did a U-turn, took my vehicle back. I told the front desk rep, Marcos. I gave him the key and he checked my vehicle while I waited. He came back and showed me that he had circled on his paperwork earlier that the light was on before the oil change.I told him that it was not on and I would have taken off work to get a check engine light fixed had I seen the light. He continued to say that the light was on already.To have someone lie to your face was difficult. This is really upsetting. I have been taking my vehicle there for several years. He didnt even offer to troubleshoot the issue. He didnt care. I dont feel comfortable returning.

Originally this was a 5 star review. You just lost a loyal customer. After months of service declining today was my last straw. Took over 2 hours for a simple oil change I had an appointment to get. There were only two other cars in, the whole time I just listened to the two employees goof off. The guy finally changed my oil after 2 hours. Never ever again fellas. Completely disrespectful and uncalled for.

Came in to get a tire patched. Waited almost 3 hours for them to finish just for them to not even fix it. Came back and had to wait over another 4 hours. Ive been here 2 times before and same issue, they just really like to take their sweet time.

Had a simple oil change at 10am. Didnt leave until 12:15pm because they called the wrong person to tell them the car was ready. On my receipt it said they were done at 10:48am. All the guy could say was I called the wrong person with the same car as you haha oops no apology or nothing.

Little frustrated been here since 9 at 10:30 told me that breaks where low at bout 11 got the breaks in at 1130 at 12 your car almost done. it is now 2:30 still here left about 3.I spoke with service writer and supervisor and let them know about my concern. We both have agreement not with me but to all customer that go to them. I will return. They did repair my car I am happy with it.

Two stars because they are shooting themselves in the foot, no wonder they have been going thru massive layoffs recently. First off I set an appt so I could be in and out but that wasnt the case which leads me to wonder why even ho thru the troubleofsetting an appt???The cheap oil change brings folks in and then the inspection leads to opportunity to upsell the customer on services that do make the shop money...sadly I spent 2 hours waiting on a simple oil change to find out they didnt even look the car over. They gave me back a blank inspection sheet.....2 hours to drain oil and replace. Ive always went to Sears with my vehicles but ever since I moved to California Ive had experiences like this. I know of about 4 things currently wrong with the vehicle I took to them today. In fact I planned on asking about pricing when they brought it up but they didnt. They were never rude, just very slow. I dont understand how these mechanic make a living without trying to sell these other services, dont they get commishions?

The staff are always very friendly. The only thing Im unhappy about is the service writers always neglect to tell me the auto techs comments/suggestions about my car. Big things like tires/alignment arent missed but other things that i end up having to read on my receipt. I dont understand how Im supposed to maintain my car to their best recommendations if its not being recommended to me.
