We went to get our COVID booster shots. The pharmacist was very good at giving us our shots. The floor of the waiting room was filthy, and stained.

Fresh fruit and the store smells so good all the time because of the variety of flowers.

I went to Safeway to get my Covid shot. But, I did have time to browse after. I love the atmosphere of this store. Its so organized and maintained that its effective enough to navigate on your own and find what your looking for. I especially enjoyed that their was a private waiting room for vaccines and another private room within the waiting room where the vaccine was administered. Everything was clean and the employees were using precautionary measures as well. I felt very comfortable in this Safeway.

Prices are high but its only to push their discount card. Which is virtual and rarely scans due to QR code but phone number works just as well and makes the prices are acceptable. Very clean store.

Came for a bday cake for my father. The lady in bakery had no experience and couldn’t put icing on it. She called for a manager and the manager never came. Even wished me good luck. I waited for 20 mins today for them and they never showed as the employee expected. Never going back. Management needs to respect people’s time and assist their employees better.

I was having a craving for some cake and they met my desire soon as I walked in there were a rack of slices of cake for a dollar grab two and got ice cream and headed to the door. Customer service was cool there were no lines so it was an in and out for me. I got to say today was a great day!

Its a great place to shop, but lousy place to cash a check. Everytime, I go there to cash a check they tell me sorry but my check is blocked. Then when I take it somewhere else, it gets cash promptly with no problems. Its rare that I get paper checks, because usually my paychecks go straight to direct deposit. On occasions when I do, I go to the Safeway first & have to wait for 20 minutes for a cashier for nothing. I will never waste my time, to cash a check there for the rest of my life. If my company paid out bad checks, it would be all over the news because it is one of the largest employers in the country.

I usually love this store but today the bakery had no donuts and the bagels were rock hard. I waited 15 minutes in the deli and there was only 2 of us waiting for stuff and we couldnt get any help in the deli area. Dont call this store they never answer the phone. Never!

It is amazing how Safeway has the little holder for my chip ATM card at each check out. Amazing how often that thing moves and makes the checkout process a real headache. Sometimes it doesnt read my PIN then we start over. A Billion dollar corporation that is clueless. I wont even get into the appearance and condition of the restrooms.

Convenient location at McHenry and Briggsmore. Good in and out. Real nice employees and I like the layout of the store. The self checkout also works well.Im not sure but it looks like the exits to McHenry south out of the parking lot might be closing. Theres construction now (May 5) and today they are blocked. Might be forcing folks to go back to the stop light. Bummer

I really like this store. Beautiful floral dept and great produce dept. Its Ivey priced like most grocery stores but if you pay attention to the sales you can get really great deals on groceries, etc. Needs a little bit more lighting inside, kind of dark. Staff is decent, much friendly than Raleys.

The store is nice the fruit is good and sandwiches are very good but Erin at the front register had to be rude ...insisting that i put my phone number while paying i found out you dont have to do that you just swipe your card and put your pin and go but she got attitude i didnt appreciate ..if you cant work customer service and be kind and cordial then work in back where theres no people!!!

Beautiful produce shelving, stocking, presentation. I spoke to the produce woman that was placing more items in the cubbies and told her this was an awesome job. It was nice to see fresh and full product going up. I also frequented the butcher/meat department...assistance was amazing. I asked the gentleman butcher a question regarding a dish I prepare regularly. ITALIAN lasagne. The question was should I buy lean or a more fatty beef. He answered with absolute correctness and told me WHY. I think this was an amazing experience. Worth the try. Time of visit is relevant. I was there between 1100 and 1200 hours.

The place has a nice atmosphere, my only qualm is that the prices are more expensive than a place like savemart or winco for the exact same item.

Very unprofessional bakery department! I had a interaction with a gentleman that works at the bakery after he was being incredibly rude to my wife. He refused to give us his name when I asked him for it. I would highly recommend management to look at their employee and square him away before he says that to the wrong person and causes a serious issue! HE works at a BAKERY department there’s no reason why HE should be stuck up to customers, especially when the customers are being polite and professional. Will definitely NOT be returning to Safeway due to the UNPROFESSIONAL male employee at the bakery department.

I love to shop at Safeway, Ive been coming to this store for 20 yrs. the staff are absolutely top notch in customer service. The store is clean and has a wide variety of groceries. One of my familys favorite things to do is sample exotic fruits, the produce person is always ready to cut a piece and tell you all about it. They care very much about their customers and still require you to wear masks. I appreciate that. I live in Waterford and wish I didnt have to shop at Pioneer market as much as I do. Safeway is 30 min from me, my towns market could care less about their customers, they dont care if you wear a mask, and not as friendly.

We love coming here esp when the security guards follow us around the store. Its funny. I dont steal I get food stamps so thats free food anyways. LolI love the bakery. And the veggie trays and $5 Friday deals. And Starbucks takes ebt in the store.One time we saw lightning strike the parking lot right b4 we left the store. Someone even called 911 lolThey stay open later too.

What was I thinking? I went on the Friday before July 4th. I was going to pick up some chicken salad and egg salad from the deli but everybody had the same good idea LOL... I got the rest of the groceries I needed and did the self checkout. They allow you to do no mask if youre vaccinated... So since Im part of the I got my vaccine crew it was nice to be able to shop with no mask. Prices are okay I noticed there werent any deals on soda, but that makes sense with July 4th right around the corner.

Live in Oakdake so dont usually shop there but its clean and they have some really good prices and a great selection. Signing up for the club is easy and then you get club prices.

Breakfast burritos and absolutely amazing. Never go wrong with the ham. The staff gave my kid a balloon. Wasnt expected but really great and thoughtful.

The food is great the vegetables the fruit and I live close to the store so its the great walking distance the cashiers are great and nice people the place is clean one thing that the store doesnt do is ask their customers if they need help finding so then products youll have to play hide and seek to find it worker so you can ask him a question about something but thats the only thing from me

This location has a button you press when you need someone to unlock a cabinet and when pressed it tells someone to come over and unlock said cabinet. This button was pressed 6 times each after waiting 3 mins in between each push. They have failed on their customer service and it is really irritating when someone (3 someones) were standing around behind the check stands DOING NOTHING while customers are waiting for their help.

Always clean, well organized, clerks well informed, nice and personable, well stocked, lots of variety. Bakery produces fine products, fresh doughnuts, cookies and more. Fast food available, sandwiches, fried chicken, salads, etc. Friday deals. Starbucks for coffee and tea lovers. Prices slightly higher than retail stores.

I love Safeway, I have been going to Safeway since I lived in San Francisco almost 50 years ago. My Nana would take us there and then walk to the creek by the railroad tracks and get some tadpoles, my memories of Safeway are pretty special. I drive a truck and deliver to warehouse in Tracy CA. Twice a month. I would not shop any place other than Safeway I get my prescription there also. Thank you

This is one of my go to places for groceries. They always have great sales on the items you need everyday. They have great selections in the bakery and have made my kids cakes for the past 10 years. I would recommend this place to anyone and would give them a 10. Fyi they have a Starbucks inside!

I called to pick up my cake to say I was going to be late. I had made an arrangement to pick up the cake by 7 730 and when I arrive not knowing it was closed. Unfortunately the girl that answered the phone after 7 was rude and should be fired. Instead of assisting me in getting my cake she said were closed. 😞😞😞😞. I driver an hour and a half away for her to say that. Afew minutes later I arrive and the gentleman that assisted me was so helpful. Thank you. This Safeway site is very clean & organized. [Usually] well stocked. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very large parking lot & well lit at night. Plenty of Handicap parking spaces. Its easy to get to & find. Its located on the main strip. 👍👍

Even though we only live a very short distance away, didnt frequent the store very often, pricing was in my opinion much too expensive even with my card discounts, but I must say for special occasions this is the store where wed purchased our meats and the current in season fruits and vegetables. The store is incredibly clean and spacious. I have to say though that on one occasion, I was let down in a major way. I happen to think that Safeway Bakeries are the very best, so with that in mind I ordered a birthday cake, my own color combo & design. it was for a Sunday at noon pickup, when I got there no one was in the area, I waited and waited finally I called the store and explained that I was at the bakery area and please. send someone to assist me. I heard the announcement for assistance at the bakery, the phone rang but no one came, after about an hour of waiting and me calling up front a second time someone eventually came, poor man tried his best he must have gone into that cooler a dozen times looking for my cake, he found the order sheet but couldnt find my cake, he phoned several people trying to figure out what had happened and what could be done, there was no one in the store who could recreate my order, the best he could do after my having been there at that time well over 2 hours was to offer me one of the 3 sheet cakes available in the display case at a discounted price, I considered just leaving but decided to purchase a half sheet cake just so I wouldnt return empty handed and after over 2 hours I was well behind schedule for what we planned. I will not be shopping at this store ever again

Been shopping at Safeway off and on for probably sixty years. We usually dont go to the store here in town because its really out of the way. However we were down there today and they had some things in there had that I wanted to I get so we went in there found everything but one thing which was an important and what I liked is there signs that show the reduced price also show the coupon price. Thats a good thing and stops confusion from old over the hill people like me

A cashier asked me to pull my mask down to check my ID? She was really nice but I dont think she shouldve been allowed to do that. Ive been buying alcohol from the start of the pandemic and have not once been asked to take my mask off, in a store. Please brief your employees on safety procedures.

Safeway on the corner of Briggsmore and Mchenry is a great store. It is always clean and in order. The fruit is fresh and high quality. The bakery and deli section is delicious, outstanding. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

In and out quick on a holiday weekend

Prices are obviously higher but there are good deals as well. Seafood and meat was cheaper when on sale compared to other stores. The first time I went to the deli and ordered wings. The employee wasnt mean or nice but I expected better service. The second time I had an unpleasant time at the seafood area. The employee chatted away with the customers. I get she wants to be nice but not at the expense of others.i probably waited 20 mins while her and the customers talked about crab smell. This was 2/12 around 4 pm. Plus the smell was horrible. Im surprised how cheap I got the lobster tails and shrimp but I am not sure if I want to go through that .
