A place you will smell way before you see it! Rousted peanuts, chocolate of all kind and ......... But for me their fresh popcorn is the best. You better get the large bag! The popcorn here is better than move theater popcorn.

Super friendly service 🤗The shop is beautifully set up and you guys they have popcorn 🍿 too!!! Its so much more than just peanuts. You just have to stop in and see for yourself. I will definitely be back.

On Vacation from Florida, just had to try fresh roasted peanuts! They are unsalted which is nice, and makes them better to feed all the adorable frisky squirrels in the park next door!The candy prices are a little pricey, peanuts reasonable and tasty. Service was friendly.

She shop is small so it is a little cramped but the selection is good, the employees are all kind and helpful. Prices are reasonable

I love this store. The nuts and candy are always tasty. When I have visited around Mardi Gras, you can often purchase nuts that are still warm from the roaster. Dont miss out! The machine they use is over 100 years old. They offer chocolate covered peanuts, roasted pecans, roasted peanuts, roasted cashews, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, gummy worms, candy corn, popcorn among many other treats.

This place is so old worn out, overpriced and just plain ole dusty. Just like the city it is located in. Some ignorant people would say its history, but nevertheless its part of the cities history I wouldnt care to share with my worst enemy !!!!!

After lunch downtown we stopped in at the Peanut Shop .. we got four different candies and they were all delicious .. its neat watching the peanut roaster in action .. the machine that does the roasting is 120 years old and was cool!!!

This is a cute little candy shop. The store was older, and not quite kept up on. I got the unsalted peanuts, and the squirrels in the park enjoyed them too!

I bought candy from here to decorate my daughters sweet 16 cake and decorate for her party. This place has been around for along time. I use to go here as a kid with my grandfather to buy peanuts to sit downtown and feed the squirrels and birds. 😁 this is a landmark for our culture and history of mobile. U cant come to mobile without visiting this amazing piece of heaven.🙂💙💜

This place is a must visit when in downtown Mobile. They have every type of combination of roasted, oil fried, candied nuts of all types. Plus several types of deserts, I recommend the Cajun style oil fried peanuts!

Those are some damn fine nuts! HA! But you guys working there were really great, and were patient while we search through all the fantastic nothing they had, one of the family favorites was the pumpkin nuts that were still toasty warm and point tasty.

We were exploring the historic downtown Dauphin street and as soon as we left the car, we could smell roasting peanuts. We followed our noses and found this cute shop. There were plenty of options for the nut enthusiasts. There were different choices for seasoned nuts, also freshly popped popcorn and various types of candy. The freshly roasted peanuts were sold by the 1/2 lb. or lb. We ordered a lb and are still enjoying them. The staff was friendly and fast with service. We recommend stopping by for a snack or treat here after a walking tour of the beautiful old district.

Fresh nuts and popcorn at the best prices around! The Oreo Cookie Cake Bites are one of our favorites for a sweet treat; they have plenty of sugar free options on chocolates too! This is a super fun place to shop with kids, they can see the roasting process and leftover popcorn is fun to feed the squirrels in Bienville Square nearby. This little treasure is a downtown Mobile landmark.

Try the Spanish peanuts they are to die for. Warm with a hint of salt and oil. I loved this place. I also got roasted peanuts. These we awesome as well. The guys were super nice there.

This is the best assorted nuts, candy, and gift shop in Mobile. It has excellent customer service along with affordable prices in this day in time that makes it economy friendly. Wow! A step back into the days of ole!

I go to the A& M Peanut Shop frequently. Been going for almost 50 years. Owner and staff are very friendly and have never been rude. Peanuts are roasted on site and are delicious. Candy is wonderful. Beware of one star reviews that say posted in the last week. Its a social media campaign to ruin their reviews.

When I walk inside, it honestly feels like an old-time shop. They even have that old machine working right next to the door! Its a nice rustic feel!

Adore this shop. Brings me home everytime i walk in. Mobile treasure. Fifty years of memories. Must drop in get a snack or get popcorn to feed the birds. Love it!

I have been going here for at least 30 years and I dont eat roasted peanuts. But, I have taken children into downtown for 30 years to feed pigeons and squirrels and purchased burnt peanuts for the animals. I always take out of town company there and now, my company take me after their first trip.They have other nuts besides roasted peanuts, popcorn and wide variety of candy. They are locally owned, friendly, and just a tradition. Even during Mardi Gras, they are nice and friendly.

It was pretty nice I got some chocolate covered peanuts they offer drinks, popcorn and even candy they also have performers outside great.

This is one of my families favorite spots in LoDa. More than peanuts amd nuts. They have candy, gummies (we recommend the butterflies), chocolates, popcorn, and so much more. A true staple of the downtown area.

I am a native Mobilian and also a retired member of the U S Air Force, having traveled across the globe and also lived in several large U S cities, including New York City. That said, I can truthfully objectively say that in ALL of my years on this Earth, I have NEVER tasted more fresher or better or evenly roasted peanuts ANYWHERE, than at A&M Peanut Shop. As well, their candies are very tasty too, ESPECIALLY their Divinity candy. These things being the case, unless youre allergic to peanuts or dont care for nuts - should you ever visit Mobile, home of the Mardi Gras, your trip will NOT be complete unless you stop AND shop at A&M Peanut.
